Please note, that unless your battery has the auxilary charge port found ONLY on this battery, you can not use this device. It does not plug into the two (2) prong outlet like the program cable or the remote speaker/mic.... it was not designed to do that. The original 3800mAh batteries do have the female inlet for this charger. It works very well but you have to know what you are doing and not just some hack with a radio. Do your research before you buy.

this cable can be plugged into the desk cradle,that is what it is meant for, thus it gives a stable base while traveling, mine sits in the console of my explorer and rides very well there.there should be a 500ma fuse in it

Try it when you buy it. Mine didn't fit the 3800 mAh battery. You can replace the female jack with one from an old wall wart.

The charger this is for requires a 10 volt input, this output 12 volts.

I do not want to burn up my charger for a $2.00 cable.

Not happy with it.
