Powerlet Basic Plug

The powerlet plugs, sockets and cables are high quality, durable, serviceable products. A little overpriced, but reliable. This plug is no exception. However I want to call out that this "basic" plug does not have any wire support built in, nor a grommet to secure the cable opening, and therefore the only cable support is the screw terminals themselves. I'm pretty sure a previous basic plug that I purchased a couple of years ago had a small cable clamp inside. If so, this is a change, and a missing necessary feature for most any application.

I happened to have a rubber grommet that was tight on the cable and filled the opening, which should be OK for my purposes.

Did the job perfectly. I used it to attach a small air compressor for emergency road service (motorcyling). The plug fits the receptacle and is easy to use.
