BEWARE OF SELLER!! ElectroFlip never returned my money. I returned the product I bought from electroflip (I bought on amazon for $240) by mail 2 months after purchasing and after communicating with representative about the return. Because it was past the warranty date of 30 days, they offered me only $50 cash back or $60. I chose $50, lost $190. They never sent me my $50 like they said and it's been 3 months. Customer service will not return e-mails. I have sent 11 e-mails with no response. I have no PayPal credit. These guys are rip-offs!!! Beware: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ELECTROFLIP!! I lost $240 on it..please learn from my mistake.

Pros

The product is excellent, it has an excellent viewing angle and takes great videos with excellent voice recording.

Cons

Product does not come with instructions or memory card. Instructions can be viewed on the web and sd card has to be purchased separately, i would recommend at least a 8 gig card, it fills up rapidly!

The cigarette lighter charger is useless. Mine has disintegrated and i have had to be conducting repairs on it, presently i have not been able to use device for one week because charger has gone awry. The battery is supposed to give 3 hrs when charged, it doesnt, however it is a blc-5 battery that is used in some Nokia phones, so if u have one you can use it.

If there was not an issue with the charger, i would have given it a 5 star rating.

I bought one of these for my nightstand and use is for my alarm clock. The phone automatically switches to the dock view with time, weather, etc. You can charge and extra battery in the back, so I always have power ready to go if needed. I bring it with me when I go on vacation as I can't be without it.

It's a decent dock and works perfectly if you just want something to charge it. It has not speakers though so it's kind of pointless to use an alarm clock. I knew this going it before buying it even though I was planning on using it in more of an alarm clock fashion. It's odd though cause on the run there is a volume button. There is a spare battery charge station on it, granted that's only helpful if you have a spare battery, which I don't, but is handy cause the Samsung Charge does eat battery if you use 4G LTE all the time. To be honest I used it pretty frequently when I first got it just to charge my phone while on my desk. It's not completely worth it though because the lack of speakers. If you wants something that allows you to use your phone as a clock and charge the phone at the same time it's perfect. If you want to use it in some fashion for music it definitely falls short of that capability.

Bought two of these car chargers from a different vendor (Accessory Net). One failed after five weeks (35 days). Didn't help that the vendor (Accessory Net) wouldn't replace it, hiding behind a 30 day warranty. But the item is unreliable. Look for another charger, as I am now doing. ANd definitely look for another vendor than Accessory Net. Buyer beware, buy elsewhere.

This is good if you need a 20a charger to recharge a battery fast and the ability to charge a small battery at 2a. However it's not good for keeping a battery at float charge. It has a feature to excercise (partially discharge) the battery at regular intervals. These intervals are too often and not deep enough (deep cycle Batt. needs a minimum of 10% discharge before regharge)I would recommend removing charger after charge and replacing once a mo. It would also have been nice if the display showed voltage and charge state at the same time. I wish I had just stayed with Schumacher chargers.

I research battery chargers extensively needing a real good one to maintain my 2 AGM house batteries on my RV during times I do not use it or if I run down the batteries too much for the RV built in charger/inverter to do the recharge job well. This was the best excluding the one that was similar that costs 3 times the price. Good quality longer lasting, higher amperage (200 and up) AGM batteries are so expensive (a pair of 6 volt ones hooked in series easily cost $500) that using a cheaper charger on them that is not temperature compensated is false economy.

I've had the chance to use the Solar PL2320 battery charger 4 times now, comparing it against my old standby Century 87105 2/10/55 amp battery charger. I like to Solar for the fact that it displays % of charge and charging voltage when charging and when not charging it shows the % of charge of and battery voltage. The charger is also nice in that there are 3 charging protocols: one for conventional flooded lead-acid batteries, one for Absorbed Glass Matt (AGM) and one for Gel-type batteries. I frankly don't know what the differences are but I did notice that the % of charge noted for the battery I had it hooked up to changed when I cycled through the battery types on the charger. The overall charger is solid with cord wraps for both the charging cables and the power cables. Both sets of cables are approximately 5 feet in length. The charging process varies in time not only based on state of charge but also based on the charger's 'multi-phase' charging protocol. The charger doesn't simply apply a charge to the battery and shut off at 100%, it actually goes through a multi-step process that includes applying a load onto the battery reducing the state of charge slightly and then charges again. As I understand it, this helps with reducing sulfation. The charger is fan cooled and the fan, when running, is noticeable but isn't loud (maybe as loud as a computer fan). Overall a very good charger and in my opinion worth the money based on build quality, charge protocol sophistication and battery information provided.

Saved a tone of money with this. I'll be honest and I am sorry for this, but I do speed on freeways in America. Sorry, but in my opinion speed limits are way too low here. It's hard to drive on Autobahns with no speed limits one day, and then the next thing you know, you live in America and you have to live with 55/65 mph. So to cut the chase, I've purchased this unit to avoid tickets and to replace my previous lower end Cobra that had a lot of false alarms.

Summary:

Fake alarms reduced by 90% (besides funny moments such as warning me of Train and Railroad when going to Safeway)

Voice warning comes handy

Detects highway patrol/cops from far far away, including their most advanced guns, thus saving you a fortune.

Beware some officers know their job well: Will not protect you from those smart officers, who know how to ticket you by tailgating you. No detector will help you against that one. Trust me I got ticket that way.

Checked legality with friend of mine who is an Officer and found out that these are not illegal in California. BUT:Keep on mind that seeing one in your car will certainly NOT make Officer happy, and it WILL put you in A bad light.

To conclude: Well paid off investment. I was supposed to be ticketed dozen of times w/out this. At least I am honest and hope that helps. But don't be me. I still don't encourage you to you to speed and drive unsafely. Be smart, at the end of the day all that speeding, will save you only 2-3 minutes. I promise to change, too.

I can't justify paying more than $100 dollars for a RADAR detector. This one does the job fine. All RADAR detectors will give false alarms for door openers, etc., since they use the same frequencies. Also, officers have to have their RADAR on for your detector to work. Some of the reviews on here whined about police officers being right next to them and it not going off.

For a cheap RADAR/LIDAR detector, the Cobras work just like they should. They cannot do magic, and neither can the $400 ones. The only advantage to the more expensive ones are if they come with remote mounted (front and rear) sensors. Otherwise, it's the same technology for 4x times the price.

I recently took a 400 mile round trip with my Cobra and I was very pleased in fact it saved me twice from getting a $180 ticket so it more than paid for it self two times over. False alerts are very rare and it's very obvious by the strength that it's from a store. On a straight run on the highway I get about a two mile or more warning. On hills and curves that is cut down quite a bit but still enough time to slow down. I love the extra features like the compass and intellimute. The usb port for the gps module is great to have if I ever want red light camera capability. The size is a little longer that other radar detectors but the suction cup mount seems stronger that the $350 Escort I had and the unit does not shake like the Escort did. The coiled cord is nice and is a perfect length for my car. A long straight cord is available if anyone needs that.

Overall I'm very happy with the Cobra. It looks great and works great. What more can you ask for? Buy it. You'll like it.

After enjoying the XRS 9945 for a couple of weeks I decided to get the red light gps module. Although I haven't taken any trips yet that encounter red light cameras, I really like being able to put in my own user alerts (up to 1000) and having my speed and more accurate compass available. I feel I have the complete package now.

I don't know why people are bashing Cobra radar detectors. The XRS 9945 has worked as well as an Escort 8500 I had a while back plus it has tons of useful features. I read about a $500 Bell and how it knows the difference between non police signals and police radar (different freq's). My Cobra does that at one quarter the price. I had a low end Cobra from Walmart and a mid range Whistler and they were both junk. The only time they would alert to a police radar is when you were withing 100 ft. However they alerted to everything else. The Cobra XRS 9945 is not in that class at all. It is so quiet sometimes I think it's not working. It seems the way I have it configured, the only time it alerts is when it's a cop. Isn't that what we want from a detector? It is a quality, reliable product with tons of features for a great price.

I have been using this product for well over 3 months already n at first it was not senstive bit when I started to play around with the setting I found it to be very senstive... When I first got it had a hard time picking up the ka band. But since now I have set it up the right way. I usually pick up the ka band from 2 to 3 miles away. And the laser from a cop about a mile away. It's a really good radar detector and I recommend you to get it but I will say you have to play with the settings before you use it. If anyone has any questions just as me I'll glady help you out...

Humless Sentinel Portable Lithium Based Generator

I purchased this Humless Sentinel as backup power for power outages and for the eventual major earthquake in the Palm Springs Area (I hope this one doesn't happen). What interested me was the long life lithium based battery and all the controls in one box. I had made a lead acid based battery system years before and have also read many reviews about the negative aspects of using "car/RV batteries". I wanted a clean system that would hold a charge for a very long time and really be ready when the need arises. It's a 50 amp hour system so it is not designed to make up for the loss of power to major appliances, but it runs lap top computers, small TVs, LED/CFL lighting, fans and basic necessities quite well (up to 1000 watts continuous).

This product, although pricey, is well built and performs as described. I also purchased two 90 watt solar panels and some cabling from Humless directly (from their web site at Humless.com), that allow the system to recharge during longer power outages. The panels fully charge the Sentinel in about 4 hours, and are plug and play meaning the twist-on connectors hooked up in seconds without any hassles at all. This means I can use the device during the day and still have some power for the evening hours. I still have the portability and it stores in a small closet space with the solar cables running up to my roof.

The Humless team in Utah was very helpful answering questions during a few telephone calls to verify that coupling the Sentinel to their solar panels along with my "install skills" would get the job successfully done. I'm happy with the purchase and results.

I purchased this for an off grid recharable backup capability in the event of utility failure. As advertised it is limited to 1000 watts max continuous and a charge providing 600 watt hour. The 1000 watt continuous limit means it will not run my 26 cubic foot side by side refrigerator which pulls about 1340 watts full on. It will work for my upright freezer, although the 600 watt hour limit means about 40 minutes of full run time from a charge. As long as you know this going into it, it is excellent. I sucessfully tested it running my whole house gas furnace and calculated it would provide 60 minutes of run time. 15 minute of run reduced charge by about 1/4 so I think my calculations were correct. An easy way to run the furnace was to turn off the circuit breaker to the furnace, make an extention cord with both ends male, plug one end into the Sentinel and the other end into a receptable at the furance (receptical was on the same line as the furnace). Worked fine, but circuit breaker MUST be OFF or you will destroy the unit if power comes back on. The charge limit means LED TV's will run hours longer than LCD, and CFL and LED lights will run hours longer than incandescent. The light weight is a big factor. I checked an acid gel unit that would handle my refrigerator, but it would weigh 200 pounds which is more than I wanted to deal with, even on wheels, and lithium doesn't have to be recharged every two months like other types. Also competition was modified sine wave, not pure sine wave as the Sentinel has. Pure is is better for electronics. I can use my gas generator to recharge it and then have power quietly at night. I also purchased two 145 watt solar panels to connect to the Sentinel through its 12V input Anderson connectors. I haven't tested that yet but expect full recharging within just a few hours.

Delivery was on time, packaging was great, I have charged the generator multiple times from zero to full charge using my 100 watt Ramsond solar panel and it charges and works beautifully. Well worth the money and I know that when the power grid goes out someday that I can depend on this to power everything in my room all night: a 32 inch Sony TV, lamp, xbox 360, and a laptop as well as charge my iPhone and other devices.

Also I would like to add that the customer services people are great and answered the questions I had as well as mailing me an additional cable that I needed. Very satisfied with the product, company, and customer service.

I own two of these generators. I brought the first one for a camp trip in Mexico, last spring. After the first full discharge of the battery, It would not fully recharge. It barely charged at all. I thought it was bad power in a Mexico hotel. So when I got back, they sent me another one. I just fully discharged this one last night and, again it is not fully re-charging. It has been charging for 20 hours and is nowhere near fully charged.

The company, located here in Utah, seems to have disappeared or is not responding to any inquiries on my part, so I guess I can forget any warranty hopes.

This battery works so well I just picked up a second one for my GPS 496. Most of the rentals don't seem to have a 12 or 24v plug. These are cheap insurance when you need to leave the XM weather plugged in. Otherwise, unplug the XM antenna after the first couple of updates, then plug it in once an hour for an additional update to conserve the battery power.

Wish I could give this a better review, but mine only lasted nine months after four uses, then died never to be revived. As described in other reviews, it did not lock when I first installed it, but I was able to bend the tab and finally get it to lock.

I am about to buy a different brand to replace this one.

The plastic molded case for the battery is poor.

without finding something to wedge the battery in place the battery will disconnect from the contacts.

This can be aggravating.

This battery replacement is adequate, but not ideal.

I purchased the battery despite some bad reviews. I should have known better. The battery does not fit my garmin gpsmap 478 very well. It keeps popping out. However, that is not the only problem. The battery would not charge completely. It would only charge to about a third of its potential.

I bought this small inverter as a Gold Box deal to use when camping or on road trips. I've used it to charge my phone through the USB port, to plug in the AC adapter for my kids' Nintendo DS, and to charge the battery on my digital camera (through the AC charger).

The good: It works. It's small, has a nice feel to it, and has a long enough 12v cord to allow it to be placed on the center console of my truck.

The bad: It gets very warm sometimes, almost to the point of being uncomfortable to touch. I haven't determined if it only gets hot on the current draw for the AC, or only from the USB, or both. Sometimes it seems to run hotter, and other times it doesn't.

I would have given it 5 stars except it makes me a little nervous that it gets so warm. Otherwise, it's a nice little device to keep around, and was actually cheaper than a 12v charger for my phone. I always unplug it when not in use.

2/22/2011 Update! This inverter still works well, but I have determined that it is the USB charging that causes it to get very hot.

I love this product so much, I bought one for all of my cars! If you have products requiring usb charging, you can do that. If you have a laptop or other plug in device, you can do that too! Unlike the units that have an outlet right on the cigarette lighter adapter, this one has a nice long cord. I like to put it under the seat and have it out of the way. It has a nice blue light to tell you that it is on, but is not too bright to distract you at night. As much as I use these, I have never blown the fuse in the unit, or in my car.

The Roadpro Inverter was great on the road. I was able to charge everything but the ipod Touch. For some reason, it would not charge it through the USB port. I have not tried with the AC adapter.

It is a relatively compact unit with a long enough cord that made the inverter convenient to use. We keep it in the car at all times and can use it pretty universally with our electronic gear.

This inverter works perfectly. I used it for working on a laptop over extended periods in the back of our minivan. Don't ask what I was doing in the back of our minivan for extended periods. It's none of your business! Anyway, the key is that you must have the car running. Powering an inverter for long periods without your battery charging from your alternator is a sure way to end up with a dead battery. The only thing worse than living in a van down by the river is having to flag somebody down for a jump.

Chargers are a dime-a-dozen, especially now that most phone use the "standard" charging port that went into effect a year or so ago. This charger works with any phone that has the stadard charging port. I am able to use this charger with my son's Kindle Touch, my dauther's Kindle Fire, my wife's HTC Status, and my HTC Rezound. However, it does not work with our Samsung Tablets because they use the larger Samsung tablet charger.

This charger stopped working before I could even have time to rate it. I guess you get what you pay for.

this is a great car charger and you cannot beat the price. it works well, it does seem to be a little fragile though.
