"LED shows power status" This is false, it does not do that. It may work for one of the models listed on the packaging, but NOT the Evo 4g and that's what this is being advertised for.

I always read the reviews, and the ones for this product were not too good. But I thought for 4 bucks with shipping its worth a shot. Cord once pulled out does not retract and be very careful I got 2 of these within a month I have broken one. As long as your not doing anything on your phone it charges otherwise it actually seems to help drain the battery. Ended up buying a full car mount and its always good to have the back up. Hey for 4 bucks what do you expect say its worth it as long as you are careful and understand what circumstances it charges under.

This charger works OK if you are not using the phone while charging. I have a dock in my car and use my phone to stream music, talk on the phone and/or navigate. This charger cant keep up so I doubt if its really putting out 1a. If I am not using the phone at all it charges the phone, but even that is a little slow for my taste.

On the positive side the retractable cord works as advertised.

I was very very disappointed, the charger has never worked, didn't seem to even make the connection in the cigarette lighter. This was a complete waste of time and money. It really does not deserve the one star I gave it, but this rating system is set up where you have to give it at least one star. They dont serve it.

This was a gift for my little brother. It was perfect for him, as he drives around. It was exactly as described, and came really fast.

There are a dozen chargers for Canon batteries under $10 in Amazon, and it's a hard decision when your other option is the original charger at more than 4 times the price. So, which of the cheap ones is the best? Well, not this one, that's for sure. I'm not going to say it's flimsy because most probably all of them are. But this one has NEVER charged my battery to its full charge. And now it's getting worse. I'd say at about 30% to the total capacity of the battery, this device stops charging. The contrast between the original OEM charger and this one was immediate, so it's not because the battery is getting old.

This charger keeps the spaghetti mess of cords from invading the car. Small and light, the spring-driven cord lets you get just as much or as little cord as you need. Easily replaceable fuse (though I have yet to take advantage.)

It does run a little warm during charging compared to the Moto version, so don't use it in a tightly packed place or leave it constantly plugged in.

Good value for the money, especially since it's so little money.

This has got to be the nicest accessory I have ever seen for the Creative Zen Vision: M. Unfortunately, not a lot of good aftermarket goodies were made for this awesome device. I received the kit as a Christmas gift from my wife, and boy was I pleasantly surprised! This kit will allow you to get much more functionality out of your Zen. The best part is the folding speaker/docking station. It works like a charm and holds the Zen uprightperfect for viewing movies. The speakers fold completely shut to protect the speaker cones from damage in transit. When open, they display well thanks to the nice shiny cones. The sound is clear and plenty loud enough when used indoors. Outside, you would want bigger speakers, naturally. My kit had black speakers, but white ones are available as well. There is a super bright blue LED power light on top that accents it well, and helps you to find the volume knob and power switch at night. It can be run off of (4) AA batteries or from AC with the handy cord. The cord is perfectly designed with a USB that plugs into the separate 110v wall adapter or the 12v car adapter (both included). This allows you to run the speakers from a computer, the wall outlet, or your car cigarette lighter. The kit also comes with a docking cable that plugs into the bottom of the Zen that has a USB on the other end. That means you can charge the Zen from either of those 3 options. This is huge, considering the Zen didn't even come with a wall charger from the factory; just a USB dock/charger cord. (That AC cord alone set me back another $25 from Creativethis whole kit was less than that!). I tried a couple cheap universal USB to AC wall chargers over the years and none worked. The ones in this kit however, work flawlessly. Note: the docking plug had two small buttons on the sides. Make sure to push them in before detaching the cable from the Zen.

The kit comes with two cases: one is a hard clear plastic case, and the other is a soft black rubber skin. The skin was super easy to put on and off, and worked well. You could see the backlight of the keys through the rubber around the center button, which remains exposed. It also gives you a couple more mounting options with the speakers, as the skin allows the speakers to grab and hold the Zen, without using the sliding removable shelf piece. You can then turn the shelf backwards for more stability. The hard case I would caution you against using, unless your Zen is to live in it forever. I snapped it on and the snaps were so tight, it would not come back off! It took two people and two screwdrivers to get it back off, and it was a miracle I didn't scratch the Zen in the process. Throw this thing away. I imagine you could make it work better by sanding the tabs down a bit if you really wanted to, but why bother? Both cases have built-in belt loops and openings top and bottom for cables/cords.

Other goodies in the kit include a male-to-male speaker adapter cable, two peel-off screen protectors, one pair of earbud speakers, and a cool rubber key chain. All in all, I couldn't find one bad thing about this kit other than the clear hardcase. Everyone with a Zen should have one of these kits! I plan on getting another folding speaker and cord just to have as a spare, as they are only about 3 bucks right now!! You can afford to have one in every room for that kind of dough!

I've purchased this same car charger from eForcity before (this is my third one), and the last one I had broke in the same manner. When I pluged the device into my cigarette lighter output, it snapped most of the way apart. My second one did the same thing, except came all the way apart. I was able to snap it back together (that was super easy), but then it didn't work. My first one from the company did last a couple years, however.

So with this new one breaking, I looked on the company's website for return info and there was an email address I was supposed to contact. I did that and customer service responded within a day or two and said they were sending me a new charger. The replacement charger arrived about four days later, and I didn't have to take the time to return the broken one (I did ask where it should be sent to). I guess you get what you pay for, but customer service was great; I wish there were two places to give stars to!

The RCA USB HOME NIGHTLIGHT CHARGER is a wall plug nightlight and USB charger. It has a light sensor on the front so that it can determine how bright the nightlight should be. Overall, it's a rather large device for what it does. A couple of points here:

1. The USB charger works for all my iOS devices, including my iPad 2. But it doesn't support my Blackberry or my daughter's cell phone. I've seen this before with other USB chargers and I don't understand it. Isn't there a standard? Isn't it called Universal Serial Bus (USB) for a reason? UNIVERSAL? Since I don't understand why it doesn't work on my Blackberry, I can't ding the charger. But it's still frustrating.

2. The light was bright for about a week. Ever since, it has been very dim, despite the ambient light level. Covering the light sensor seems to have no effect. So either the sensor or the LED is faulty.

I can't really recommend this device since the light is far too dim to be useful. As I said, out of the package, it was very bright, but that was short-lived.

I was disappointed that the light on this went out after about 3 months of use. It still works as a charger, though. Until the light completely stopped working, it was a nice, little night light giving off just the right amount of light. Given the light's short life span, however, I would not recommend this product to anybody.

The product is functional and especially useful for travel so I am not sure why it is called a home device. Older hotel rooms often lack outlets to charge the many items we all travel with. I also travel with a night light which I often have to leave unplugged to charge a device however, with this nightlight charger the problem is solved. In a normally lit room, one with sunlight coming in the window above the electrical outlet with the Nightlight Charger plugged in, the light in the sensor is on, In a room with overhead lighting, the sensor is on. The only time I have seen the sensor off during the day is when it was directly under a skylight, or if it is unplugged.

I am fortunate enough to maintain two houses one in the mid-West for the summer and a second one in the Palm Springs area for the winter. Rather than drive 1500 miles each way I have a couple of cars in each location so each set will sit idle for six months of the year which means I usually have two dead batteries when I arrive for the season. I tried a cheaper brand of trickle charger in the desert last year and it worked but I was afraid that if it burned out I would still return to dead batteries. I really like the quality of the Schumacher products having two of their multifunction battery chargers that have worked well for over 10 years. When I saw that they offered high quality trickle chargers I bought two of them to make the switch to worry free charging. The chargers are well built and heavy for their size and the build quality is typical Schumacher. The chargers are intended to be installed in the engine compartment with battery connections that are permanently connected to the charger and for power a short plug comes out of the side of the unit and is easily connected to a grounded extension cord. I really didn't want to install these under the hood even though they supply the mounting brackets and screws required but I did like the idea of the permanent connection to the battery as opposed to a clamp which could fall off in the middle of the season and leave me with a dead battery. Remembering how the chargers connected in the Power Wheels toys my sons had several years ago, I was able to find polarity keyed plug connectors in the trailer wiring section of the local auto parts store and now have a short pigtail permanently connected to the battery and the ability to plug and unplug it into the charger when I want. Now I have the best of all worlds, the security of a solid connection to the battery and the flexibility of being able to plug and unplug the charger with ease. I like this a lot.

I installed this in one of my SUV's that is not driven for weeks at a time.

The Schumacher unit keeps a perfect charge and does not overheat or dry out the battery. The clock, radio, and GPS settings are all preserved and the charger does not seem to draw much power when the battery is charged. I am very satisfied with the operation of the unit.

The installation was a breeze with the included hardware and the instructions were clear and easy.

I do have two small complaints, however:

(1) The battery lugs were way too big for my vehicle and all other cars that I checked.

(2) The AC plug is too short to run anywhere. I wanted the plug to reach to just outside the vehicle's grill, so that the unit could be plugged in without opening the hood. I had to install an extra extension cord for that purpose.

Good product. 4 stars b/c the manual is misleading. There is a table that tells you what the lights mean, but it is hard to understand. I'll translate: If top light is green and bottom if off, the battery is charging. If the top light is green and the bottom light is red, you battery is charged. If the top light is off, then the unit isn't getting power from the wall. Funny how this crucial info is so messed up in the instructions. Happy charging!

I had a problem. A very bad car accident left me partially disabled. So these days I do very little driving. Just getting to and from the store and that's about it.

The problem I had is that I seldom drove long enough or far enough to fully charge my car battery, and on more than one occasion I'd get in it to go somewhere and the battery would be dead.

I've used a number of trickle chargers in the past. But there's the problem of digging them out and unhooking them when the battery is ready.

I use this inverter on my motorcycle to charge a spare battery for my Blackberry, to charge my netbook computer battery, and to charge a spare battery for my digital camera.

Everything is carried in my tankbag and the unit is quiet and runs fairly cool even in the closed tankbag. Of course I'm not really stressing the capacity since the ASUS netbook takes 36W when running and much less to charge the battery. The Blackbery and camera batteries also require very little current. With the netbook and the USB charger plugged in, the VR3 is running at about 20% capacity.

I haven't noticed a large current draw from the unit, but I usually use it when the motorcycle is running and providing lots of power. Haven't tried using it just from the battery.

It is very convenient to have the 110VAC and the USB output so I can charge two things at once and don't have to carry another cable, which works fine and has not caused any problems.

The AC output is on the end of the unit, which is good for the netbook charger and not so much for the camera charger since it has the flip-out plug and makes the whole thing a little awkward when plugged together.

I like that the DC input cable unplugs from the unit so it can be stored more compactly when not in use.

Altogether I would recommend this as a low capacity inverter/converter combo. Very convenient and the price is right.

I also bought this from Costco just today and I was concerned when I got home and read the previous reviewer's comments. I decided to give the product the benefit of the doubt and actually tried it. I attached both my cell phone charger and the charger for my Garmin GPS at the same time. Both charged without problems. I actually had some initial qualms because there was no sound at all coming from the inverter and I wondered how it could be cooling without a fan. Unconvinced, I plugged in a battery charger with four AA batteries. No noise and the unit is barely warm. If all of this holds true after a few more tests, I'll go back and get a couple of more. You do have to keep in mind that this is a 175-watt inverter and thus is limited. I tried old Gateway laptop and it wouldn't work but this dinosaur computer reeves up a terrible cooling fan on startup and it's too much for this little unit.

Tried Everything about it, Its definately not 175 watts, will not run anything more than about 75 watts, 15.4" laptop will work after its booted it up but wont run with the wireless turned on. It actually comes with a Fm modulator & that works good, really powerful. But I bought it for a bike and it will be used to charge e-cig, cell phone & various other batts, maybe to recharge a shutdown laptop occasion. So hopefully it wont let me down. Just dont expect to run anything over 75 watts & you'll be fine. For 14$ if I get a year or 2 out of it I'll be happy. Bottom line its really compact charger/inverter & will run only the smallest netbooks, tablets. Even says in the manual it will run 100 watts for 20 mins, so 75 continuous is its max.

If you want small inverter with ability to run tvs, large laptops & have an extra 12 volt plug in it, I'd suggest Black & Decker, 200watt continuous/400surge , Maxx SST. I have one that still works like a champ, even after 8 severely used & abused years.(Orange one, Not the newer silver one, just cant speak for that one), A well sepent 20$.

I purchased this last night. Wanting a inverter to power my netbook and mobile devices. Open it up today I found out it was a FM transmitter as well. It didn't mention that on the packaging. So I plugged it in to a Mp3 player and tune to the default station on the unit. Wow!!! I was impressed with the sound and clarity.

I live in a city and FM Trans. don't go together. In the many Trans. I have own they were all horrible. Especially a stoplights and especially in a Ford Taurus I occasionally drive around. The receiver on the Taurus is in the trunk so any ordinary trans. doesn't do well due to the six foot range of the trans. I unplug the Trans and find out the station was broadcasting a local program. Usually there would be bleeding and you would notice this almost immediately; not the case here.

Later I got in the Taurus and which I have a DLO iPod docking/charger. I only use it for hi-way trips out of the city. This unit on the same station that was broadcasting locally was powerful enough to over come that and the distance to the trunk to produce good fidelity and static-free sound in the city.

I would highly recommend this to anyone.

One downside the manual states that you can only use the 120V outlet for about 20 min.

First of all, a high quality 24V air-cooled charger like this is approx $132+ without S&H. I have Schumacher Chargers and they all operate very well for the price. The weak point on these chargers is "whimpie" wiring that is usually the cause of problems or alleged failures of the unit. If you are not "technically inclined" and have problems, ask a friend or acquaintance who can check the unit. The most common flaw, in my experience, is the connection near the alligator clips, since this area gets the most movement. A continuity check of the wiring can usually locate the fault. Also, since this unit does not have an on/off switch, I simply plug it into a power strip equipped with an on/off switch. A simple fix can save unnecessary replacement of a good unit. In my experience, Schumacher provides a cost effective product considering the price and the service.

It works as advertised. Would be more convenient to use if it had an ON-OFF switch. As it is, On and Off are accomplished by plugging it in and unplugging it.

I have only used this charger a couple of times but so far, so good. I like the fact that you can set it on automatic and forget about it. I would have given it 5 stars if there was an off switch. Would be nicer than having to unplug it, which in time will probably damage the cord. Also, after I purchased it, a mechanical engineer told me that my batteries would last longer and would both get an equal charge by charging them on the 12 volt mode sepeately rather than connecting the charger in series to both batteries and charging them on the 24 volt setting. If that is true, I didn't need a 24 volt charger because I couldn't find a 24 volt baffery, only 2 12 volt batteries connected in series. I still like the unit, thus far.

Just hoping to help someone else in a hurry avoid the same mistake I made!

The three star rating is more for the advertising and lack of compatibility with all models; I assume the product works fine.

I've been using Odyssey batteries in my vehicles for about 2 years now. They are SO much better than the old-school lead acid dinosaurs that are still the most common automotive and marine battery type in use today.

These AGM batteries last longer, hold a stronger charge, hold their charge longer, and emit no harmful fumes. Yes, they are expensive but you get-what-you-pay-for as the saying goes.

Be mindful of the brand you purchase for any battery. For example, Optima brand batteries used to be of high quality and manufactured in the USA, however they are now made in China or Mexico, depending on the battery. I've read reviews of customers of these batteries who have found the product to be less durable and with a shorter lifespan than previous Optima batteries.

Highly recommended.

Just got this battery a few months ago, but I figured I'd post anyway as I've already noticed the difference in quality. The AGM construction is great and I immediately noticed a quicker, stronger start and MUCH smoother initial idle after I swapped out my old lead-acid one [killed by Northeast winter in one year]. The price is definitely steep but based on everything I've researched about Odyssey and my results so far I'm glad I paid it.

So far i'm impressed with the spotlight, it works as described. It has the most perfect weight for carrying around, just light enough to not being annoying. I would say the only con to this product is the charge time, it's 24 hrs, right long wait for 40 minutes of use. But it's worth it in the long run when you need the spotlight. Also, it holds it's charge better than listed, the little light lasts almost 7-8 hrs solid on, and the spotlight itself lasts 35 minutes solid on till a dimmer view of the light. I would recommend to anyone looking for a spotlight you need on the boat (dc recharge), and for walking through the woods at night.

positive: great idea to put a 3-bulb LED light in addition to the powerful one. Also, the adjusting handle allows you to set down aimed at a specific angle.

negitive: 1)somewhat bulky, 2)NOT as powerful as my 2-million CP spot that I keep in my car and 3)batterie recharging time is 16-18 hrs-way too long!

Overall: it works fine but I wouldn't buy it again

this is such a great light, super bright! I use it to walk my dogs. Only problem is that is does not last long, this is my third one and this one lasted the shortest time, three months. I charge it as directed. Such a shame because I really like this light, wish it would last longer.

I was looking for a flashlight with a top handle and this one fit the bill. The price was right and I am basically very happy with what I received. I am disappointed with the fact that when you plug in the flashlight for charging, that there is no LED indicator for when the charging cycle is completed. The fact that it is all black and not gray and black as shown in the picture, is a very minor concern. I haven't used it very much but it appears to have a long range beam that reaches across my valley here in the mountains of North Carolina, appears to travel 150 yards on a clear night.

Purchased for my 2000 Toyota 4Runner with 3 120W 12V outlets for use on long trips etc., based on positive reviews here. The 120V AC output of the charger works well for my Lenovo t61p and a friend's Toshiba Satellite laptops. I've used it for about 2 hrs since my purchase so far. Construction is of decent quality plastic and the product feels solid.

However, there are a few quirks you should be aware of. Minor, but nuisances nonetheless, and enough to subtract two stars from the rating.

1) The click-angle head of the product is weak. It cannot support the weight of the product outlet head and a plug at an upwards angle -it will creep downwards as you drive with your car's driving vibrations. The click head more or less holds its place when used horizontally.

2) The click-angle head's rotational range is narrow. The range or motion shown on the product picture is its maximum range of motion. Due to the adapter's large size, it may not fit your vehicle if the 12V outlet is right behind your shifter, etc.

3) The cooling fan is loud during operation, even when only using the USB outlets. The noise is bearable on the highway amongst highway vehicle noise (and my truck's on the loud side by today's standards), but the constant whine is unpleasant during street driving. You should purchase a separate adapter for dedicated use with USB devices. I think the noise is about equivalent to a vacuum cleaner behind a thick door or 2.

I would consider a corded inverter instead of this product for space use flexibility and placement muffling -the noise will be far less obnoxious say, under your legs than on the dash console; even if the other product is equivalently loud.

Well made and solid. I am using it to power some small motors like air compressors and electronics while camping. I am not sure if it will power larger equipment as it does run off the battery. Just to be safe I run the engine while I use the lamps and compressor.

I purchased this converter to power a uniden video monitor in my car. I'm using it as a baby car seat monitor. Since the monitor doesn't have the best battery life I need to have it plugged in all the time. It only came with an ac outlet charger. This converter worked like a charm. The fan is not loud and it slide right into my cars cig lighter. It's pretty large but not more then I expected. I also loved the fast shipping and feel very satisfied with my purchase. i use this product very often. Especially it works great in Garmin'pedestrian' mode. Use it in the forest when hiking. But sometimes connection between extender and Garmin too weak. Therefore I have to use scotch to keep both items together.

Purchased this charger / conditioner specifically for my 36V SLA battery packs on my electric bike. Bike is my daily commuter and had been only charging at home. This charger is small and light and fits in my controller bag on the bike and allows me to charge the batteries up at work as well as at home.

I have noticed a significant improvement in my SLA battery packs. I am now getting a few more miles per charge out of them and better high current delivery on inclines.

My batteries are at least four years old as of the date of this review and were not new to me to start with. They were salvaged from a UPS system in a computer data center.

I would have to say this charger is well worth every penny, a quality built product and still less expensive than other chargers that HAVE a proper conditioning / desulfate cycle.

UPDATE 2011-07-28: Still going strong. Rides with me on my Ebike/electric bike in a handle bar bag along with motor controller to charge at work and at home. Does not get hot while power charging two 36V 7ah battery packs (2x3x12Vx7ah) SLA's are REALLY old now and still pushing me 11 miles each way and up one long hill in each direction. I still highly recommend this charger.

This charger replaced my (third) Soneil 36v charger I use for my commuter electric bike. I noticed an immediate improvement in battery performance after switching to this charger, and a gradual improvement over the next couple of weeks. I'm impressed, and the plug connections at the charger are much sturdier than the molded strain reliefs on the Soneil. Those strain reliefs have been the downfall of each one I have owned. Wish I had bought this charger earlier!
