I tried the charger first in a rental car. It worked for a minute, and then failed to charge (or illuminate its LED light). I removed the charger, and tried to use my GPS unit with its car charger (which had earlier worked fine in this car), and found that IT wouldn't charge, either!

So I returned the car to the rental car office, figuring there was a problem with its electrical system. But when the exact same thing happened in the second car (after, again, powering my GPS' charger just fine), I realized that I was causing the problems....by my use of this cheapo iPhone charger. I'm just glad that 1. I didn't plug the charger into my own car, and 2. it didn't fry my iPhone!

This charger went straight into the garbage, and I bought my auto charger at apple store for $20. It's great, dependable, and I can use it to charge any gizmo that charges via USB (including my computer, my 3GJUICE, etc.

This car charger did not work at all for my iPhone 3G. The red light on the charger indicated it was receiving power, but my iPhone 3G did not receive a charge. This was tested on two different iPhones in two different cars. I elected not to exchange, since it wasn't worth the return shipping and handling. It sounds like others have had success with this product, but I can not recommend it.

It arrived within a few days, tested it on my iPhone 3G and it worked.

By the way, I found 3 tips that help extend the iPhone 3G battery life considerably, go to Settings and set the following:

1. Set Wi-Fi: Off

2. Fetch New Data: Hourly (I hook up to my work's exchange email server)

3. General > Network > Enable 3G: Off

Also, if you need speed for web browsing and other apps, then switch on either 3G or Wireless On. I use wireless for performance reasons.

I did some speed tests and found that of the 3 network options I have these were the download speeds:

1. Wireless WiFi 6Mbits/s (connected to my private home wireless network from a cable service)

2. 3G 1.2Mbits/s

3. EDGE 0.18 Mbits/s I use this for my daily phone calls works just fine and best option to extend the battery life

Bottom line, when at home and lounging, connect to a power supply and switch on Wi-Fi, when on battery power set settings as mentioned. Enjoy your iPhone.

I used this charger in my 2000 Nissan Maxima. After a week it blew the fuse to my front cigarette lighter, then after one use it blew the other one. I guess there is a reason it was so inexpensive.

When I buy something this reasonably priced I don't expect it to be a very substantial product. When I plug it in I have to wiggle it around do it gets a good connection. I've never had to do that with any other car chargers. The cord stretches out, but doesn't have much elasticity so the cord never goes back to it's exact original shape.

I bought two of these because the price was so low and I am not sure how long they will last. I don't plug my phone in much while I'm in the car, but this phone doesn't hold a charge for very long so I really do need a car charger.

Shipping was reasonably fast. So far it's an okay product for the price. If you're fussy then my advise would be to buy something you can inspect first. I'm giving this 4 stars because the only problem with my charger is having to wiggle it around before it gets a good connection, but other then that it works.

This small charger can be tucked into the flap of your camera or recorder case. It occupies less space than a pack of cigarettes. There are only two negatives, which are not really negative once you understand how the device works. Two batteries must be in the left or right pair of holders to charge. Also, there is a switch inside which MUST be in the 110v position to charge right. Mine came in the 220v, and I can see how someone might just use it and think it's broke. If you're in the U.S., and it's set to 220, it will not charge the batteries correctly making you think it's not working right. OK, now that we have that said, I had no problem with the device. I purchased it for my minidisc recorders, and it charged up all four AA batteries in about 25 minutes to full level. The apple universal dock is $50 and doesn't accommodate a case. This product is compatible with my brand new 3G iphone and it fits nicely with its rubberized case. The design is simple and sleek (although I would probably prefer if it didn't have the small silver square around the power button) and comes with a black USB cord, unlike some other brands. This is a truly good buy and you should have zero reservations about ordering.

I found this while searching for a charging cradle for the iPhone 4 that would work with the iPhone 4 bumper in place. There are some negative reviews, but for less than twenty bucks I figured I could take a chance. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now, and it's perfect. PROS: It works as intended. Some people keep complaining that it doesn't synch or doesn't charge, I've experienced nothing of the sort (maybe they're using ancient iPods or something, mine's an iPhone). Also, you can have a clothed iPhone fit just as well on this dock. For some reason the competing docks are useless, all of them have fitted cradles so that if you have any kind of protection on your iPhone they're useless. So at least this thing works as advertised.

CONS: It's expensive for what it is, basically a generic looking charging dock. Also, the USB cable provided has an unusually big/long USB jack, it sticks out about a full inch behind the charging dock and they don't show you that in the pictures. I suspect it's because they cheaped out on the USB cable and it's a very old design or surplus cables. I will change the cable and see if I can get something that is less bulky on my desk, but at this price point I'd have hoped I don't have to buy my own cable.

The dock needs to be plugged directly in to the USB ports on the motherboard of your computer. In my situation, it would not work using an extension USB cord, front USB ports, or the ports on the back that were on a bracket. The only port that allowed the dock to charge my wife's iPhone 3GS were the ports directly on the motherboard where all the other connections are (audio, mouse, keyboard and such).

I like the compact and lightweight features of this unit. It has enough power to start a car with very low charge. However, it only has enough juice for 1 or 2 attempts of starting the vehicle. Maybe I have to recharge the unit a few more times to get peak performance.

One gripe is that there is no cord to an outlet. You have to provide an extension cord to charge the unit. Make sure it's a heavy gauge cord too.

Extremely compact and well "branded."

The clamp handles touch one another, making their release awkward. (This can be overcome by clipping one higher than the other on the case.)

Two problems with the plug prongs. A larger cutout on the case end would permit the use of a wider range of extension cords. (The earlier comment about a computer power cord is excellent.) The prongs are slightly loose and move inward, so that the connection with the cord is marginal.

I purchased a previous version of this (back then the product name was the "Mighty-Mite") although the color (mine is more towards black) and the graphics have changed. I don't believe the product itself has changed much, with the buttons and lights in exactly the same place.

Despite the size, it has worked great over the years. I purchased two back in 2006 and they still work well.

I'm not docking off a star, but there are little things that have to be understood for this product to be more useful. Sometimes the automatic charging system doesn't stop, although the charging current is probably so small that there's little risk of damaging the internal battery. I've found that disconnecting then reconnecting showed a green "charged" indicator in those cases. Since the current draw is pretty small, you can safely use something like a simple household extension cord. Since the plug is recessed, the way I've dealt with it was to use a 2 to 3 prong adapter, which serves as an extension of the plug. The other alternative is to get something like an outdoor electrical cord with an end that will fit in the recessed area. I rather prefer this to the ones with wall-wart adapters, since I can easily obtain replacement extension cords and 2/3 prong adapters on the road and can keep different sets in the house and car. I don't particularly like storing wall-warts in the car, especially given how delicate the thin cable is.

It doesn't come with a male-male cord to recharge off of the 12 V accessory port. You can also use those to maintain the power in a car (like electric presets) when you're changing a car battery. Amazon has it, although Schumacher also sells it directly.

I just got this set and haven't put them on my old charger yet. They are large enough to be auto jumper cable ends and have pretty strong springs to match. The gripper teeth aren't very pointy but I think the large size and pressure from the spring should make up for that easily. A file would alter the teeth but I'm not going to go that far unless I have lots of problems,which as stated,I doubt will happen. The connection "half moons" look to be robust and there is plenty of room in the handles to add a short/small bolt and copper washer if wanted. I am confident they could outlast the charger then be reused elsewhere. They are simple and strong,,I'm very happy with all aspects of this purchase at this point.

Purchased the PKC0AQ approx 6 months ago figuring I might need it in case of an emergency, or perhaps if a coworker was in a jam. Nothing worse than getting stuck at work in the middle of winter. Fully charged the charger and kept at 100%, always wondering when the moment would arise where the Peak charger would save the day. Well, as luck would have it, my 5 year old left the van lights on overnight and "killed" the battery. Grabbed my handy-dandy Peak jump starter, hooked it up... and got 2 slow turn-overs. Period. Tried a few more times w/ power ~ 100%, same thing. Left the unit attached to see if serving as a charger would do the trick, still didn't work. Bottom line is: this unit will leave you stranded when you really need it. I'm just glad I found out in my driveway rather than in a parking garage, in the cold, at the end of a long work day.

Very cheap looking. The pressure gage for the air works sometimes, and there are times when the pressure goes over one-hundred when I start putting air on a tire. The jump starter works pretty good. The quality of this item definitely looks very cheap.

It arrived on time. On of the nice thingsis it is lighter than others that I shopped for. The light works well. It can be charged by either an extension cord or a car lighter. It dos not come with charging cords but standard cords will work I tried to run a CPAP machine using it and it only lasted a few hours. Antoher one at 300 amp lasted two entire nights. I am returning because i need something that will get me through at least one full night. 6-7 hrs.

These caps did not come with any instructions so I have included the following hints, which I learned from my own experience:

* Install the caps when the vehicle is stopped. It is very difficult to install these on a moving vehicle.

* Turn them in a clockwise direction. For some reason counter-clockwise does not seem to work.

* Remove the caps before trying to inflate the tires.

* Despite the fact that they are covered with a shiny silver-like metal. Do not present these to your wife on your 25th anniversary as your gift.

OK, I'll be serious. These seem to be well made and durable. What else can you say about valve stem caps. I'm happy with mine.

When I purchased these valve covers I had no idea that almost 2 years later they would cost me $1,000.00 because I installed them on 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid. Until yesterday I had no idea that the valve stems used on tire pressure monitoring sensors are made of aluminum. These valve covers are made of brass and because these are dissimilar metals galvanic corrosion will occur. Since installing these covers I have removed them several times to adjust tire pressures and did not suspect any problems. Last week we had our first cool evening and the next morning the tire pressure monitor indicated low tire pressure so I hauled out the compressor so I could check and adjust tire pressures. Much to my surprise I was unable to remove the valve covers. My first thought was that the auto dealer had cross-threaded them when they rotated the tires about 2 weeks previously. I then used a small wrench to try and remove the covers only to have the stem snap off. I thought that it was a fluke so I went to the next tire and the same thing happened. On the 3rd wheel the stem snapped and the valve core flew out and all the air came out of the tire. I put the donut spare on and the next mornng dropped the tire off at the dealer for repair. An hour later the dealer called to advise that the repair cost would be $250 because I was told that the sensor could not be repaired and had to be replaced. All 4 sensors will have to be replaced, hence the $1,000 repair cost because I lost 2 of the factory valve stem covers because they were slippery and difficult to grip.

You should only use plastic valve stem covers on TPMS equipped automobiles and the product description should include a warning against using this item on TPMS equipped automobiles. Simply stating that these are for standard valve stems is inadequate.

This product is just what I wanted to enable me to listen to mp3's w/out earbuds. The speaker volume could be a bit higher, but is adequate for a 14 x 30 ft room. There's a hodgepodge of components with no instructions so I had to decide what I wanted and figure out how to make it work. You may think there are missing pieces, but the compartment for AAA batteries and the connecting cable from the speaker to the player is hidden and isn't easy to open, so exploration, persistence, and patience is required. Packaging is adequate and shipping/arrival time good.

I bought this jumper battery because my car was stuck in the garage, and I couldn' jump it with another car.

Even though it said to charge it for 36 hours after purchase, I used it anyway right out of the box, and it started my car twice.

I like the fact that you just leave this thing plugged in all the time and it knows how to keep the charge on the unit, and, as it claims, "intelligently charge" as the label said the algorithm is smart enough not to overcharge.

The LED flashlight isn't very powerful, but guess what, in a pinch this light would probably last for days if not weeks on that huge battery.

The compressor was a real bonus. I used it right away. It is very convenient to check your tires, sine the unit is not tethered to an electrical outlet. It took about a minute and a half for my tire to go from 25 lbs to 35 lbs. And after I did 5 tires, it quit on me and the tubing got hot. I read the instructions and noticed that compressing sucks a lot of power from the battery, and that you shouldn't use the compressor for more than 10 minutes at a time. So I had to wait half an hour for the unit to cool off, and then pumped the other 3 tires on my other car. This thing makes it VERY convenient to pump/check your tires. The built in pressure gauge needs to be angled upwards a little bit to be more user friendly, bc I had to keep tilting the unit to be able to see the pressure value while it was sitting on the ground. The compressor is something I'll be using quite a bit. The jump start feature is nice for emergencies and road trips, and the 12V cigarrete socket and USB socket means this thing can be used as a general purpose battery. It's the biggest battery I have in the house, so it's nice to have it.

I like the nice compact size without comprising the proformance. The air compressor works very

well for about 10mins at a shot(just like the manual will tell you). Also nice is the fact that

using the air compressor does not deplete the battery. Still plenty of juice for a jump! Great

product for the price!!

I bought it for several reasons, I won't go in details but one reason is that I constantly left the lights on in the car. So I have it in my truck all the time.

It is a bit heavy, but I don't mind.

With all the features is a great addition to my tool set.

I use this to charge batteries in all the crappy lawn mowers and other junk around my place, it works great, takes about 30 minutes charge a bad dead battery, way less time on a half not dead one, that is in full sun though, I really have not tried it on rainy days or anything.

A must to have on your Bass Fishing boat. Specially when your have your livewell on for long periods of time and consuming battery power. it is attach all the time even when the boat is running, I just keep the wires attach to the battery in that way I know the boat will turn on everytime. ALso bought a second one for the trolling motor battery and works perfect, also have it attach at the trolling battery and wors great. A must to have if you are doing tournament fishing.

The product dimensions are way off. the charge controller looks like its made by lego I don't know if this even works...
