I bought this charger for my Droid X and for charging it works ok. Last weekend I used my Droid X to go to a friends house about an hour away, and used the GPS feature to get there. The GPS kept kicking off every few minutes. I didn't know why it was doing that, and did some research on it. On one of the Droid X forums, it says the reason that is happening is the charger output is too low. It seems that the GPS causes the Droid to use more power and this charger will not supply the proper power to charge the Droid X and use the GPS at the same time. It works great for simply charging the Droid X, but not to use it and charge it at the same time. The charging current is simply just too low. There is a much better solution. Get the Scosche reVIVE II Dual USB Car Charger for iPad, which has two settings. One is for 2.1 amps and the other is for 1 amp. Use it on the 1 amp setting for the Droid X. The other solution is to get a Belkin Micro USB Auto Charger 5VOLT 1A. It has a 1 amp output and is everything you need to use the Droid X and charge it at the same time while traveling. The Belkin solution is less money. Just plug the USB cord into the chargers and all is well.

Typical economic car charger. Wasn't thinking and pulled on the cord instead of the connector to unplug it. Wires slipped out of the connector and it was ruined. User error, I know, but good construction goes a long way with me. An extra bead of solder or hot glue in the connector's housing would make a world of difference.

So if you baby it and make sure you connect/disconnect it from your device while grasping the connector only, you're good to go. If you're constantly unplugging/plugging it in like I am when I get in or out of the car, buy the one they offer wherever you purchased the device.

I got the two pack and they seemed to work fine from the start but within two months, they seem to work at random times. I will plug it in and the phone shows charging then after about a minute its like the phone doesn't detect a charger. The car's port works fine. But when it DOES charge, it charges ok. Not very fast but it IS a car charger. DROID 2.

I purchased this fast dual car charger because of the speed. The previous charger I had was too slow for my liking. Ok, so I went ahead taking a gamble buying this cheap case (mine came with charger too, for 1 Cent!!) and it PAID OFF! Its thin but strong, and the arm band stretches even after months of use! Is comfortable, stable, and I do yard work, RUN, work out, and even shovel with this thing on my arm! Be careful putting the arm band through the belt loop on the rubber case and you will be fine. Love it, I am buying another as a spare before they run out.

Bought three of them, one for daughter, one for my wife and one for me. Two of the three had issues with constantly freezing up, had to remove back cover (PIA tiny screws) to remove battery to reset. The one I purchased for myself finally would not turn on, would light like it wanted to turn on, then go dark and cycle the process all over again. I finally gave up on it and now use my cell phone Mp3. Product lasted about 7 months before failure. Only used it occasionally in the gym on the stairmaster. Never dropped or abused. My wife uses hers at the gym as well and her's has been trouble free (one out of three is a poor percentage rate). I'd never buy another one. This is the third Sandisk Mp3 product I've purchased (the first two models I purchased lasted approximately one year and I thought this product was more refined). This is the last Sandisk Mp3 player I'll ever purchase.

I bought this a couple of years ago and love it. It's lightweight and compact, folds into an easily stored size, but when you flip it open it'll hold an average adult just fine. Solid. It'll store easily in a cabinet or under the sink or you could hang it on a wall or door. Great for reaching the top shelf in the kitchen, or would be terrific for little kids to reach the sink, etc. Every home could use at least one.

Im not sure if it is due to my car or the charger but this no longer works. I think there was a short in the wire and that was only after I had it for two months. I would not purchase this again. It was not durable.

I received this as a gift and I have to say this is prob the best gift I ever received. I bought a used car a year ago and after I bought it I realized that where they installed the cd player they had to take out the cigarette lighter/car charging station. You wouldn't think you'd need this for so much. I couldn't use my GPS for long trips, if my cell died I had to wait till I got home, and my MP3 player was a big no-njo since it used a lot of battery life. This little thing charges all of that plus my childrens 3ds and PSP. I even use it in my house to save on the electric bill. It might not be a big money saver but it does help and I figure if I'm ever lost or stuck on a deserted island my MP3 player will always be charged.
