This functions ok for battery charging and power routing. The biggest complaint I have is it fils to disconect the load when the battery gets low. At 11.2V my load was still on the battery, and this will lead to premature battery failure.I know Instapark products are most probably made in China but I've gotten 2 small solar panels and this controller and they perform exceptionally well especially considering the money spent. The panels I received were outstanding. I have a 10 watt and a 5 watt and in full sun I get 13.8 watts out of them. In addition, they seem to be made of quality parts; each panel is made of heavy steel and thick glass.I at first ordered the HQRP 10 amp controller. I never could get it to work right and needed a controller to replace it. The Instapark is 30 amp vs the HQRP 10 amp and the Instapark costs only 10 bucks more. I could not find a 30 amp controller for this price anywhere. I liked the Instapark panels so I was happy to find this controller.
I've had it running 24/7 for about a week now (I live off grid in a camper) and there is not much to say about it, which means it quietly sits there doing its job. At this time I have it hooked up to the same 15 watts in panels and 2 small 8Ah UPG batteries which I use to periodically run my cell phone repeater to take some load off my camper batteries. This controller does the job, which is all I want. Compared to the previous controller which seemed to work only sometimes.
There is no lcd display, so you have to decipher whats going on with the led lights but the manual explains everything adequately and it is rather intuitive. The terminals are big and easy to use, compared to the HQRP terminals which somehow are impossible to get a wire seated the first time. There is a large heat sink behind the panel. Overall, it feels heavy duty like the Instapark panels.
I'm very satisfied and would buy it again. When I get some bigger panels to charge my camper main batteries, I will use this controller and I'm satisfied it will do the job.

Works out of box pretty straightforward will have to see how long it would last. Did not realize the 360w limit for output but no worries, just hook 1100w inverter directly to the battery bank & it was able to take my deep freezer for a day. Would probably need @ least a 200w panel & 360-400 AH battery bank for freezer to be completely off grid
