Kikkerland Driinn Mobile Phone Holder, Red

Kikkerland Driinn Mobile Phone Holder, RedI purchased this cellular phone holder, it does the job. It's light weight, when first placing it in the outlet, you'll need to adjust it so that your phone won't slide off.

I purchased this for my wife and myself to use in our bathroom. We both have Samsung Galaxy S II phones which comes with a small square charger similar to that provided with the iPhone. At nighttime, we plug our phones into the outlet in our master bathroom, and leave the phones on the countertop. We dont want our phones in our bedroom. When we wash up and get ready, the phones risk getting wet, so I was looking for something to hold the phones above the counter near the outlet. The Driin wall holder seemed to fit the bill.

The device is a thin, single piece of black plastic with slightly sharp edges. It does not feel particularly hefty or of examplary quality. You probably could snap it in two if you bent it hard enough. It is clearly mass produced and designed to be no more than a simple shelf for your phone. It has a large circular hole for the charger, and a flat base with no other amenities for your phone. It is angled at about 100 degrees to allow the phone to stay flat without falling all over the place.

I tried two methods of stabilizing the holder. First, I simply put it on top of the charger which did not work, with the phone on it, it began sliding around. The rounded hole is not conducive to square chargers and does not sit in place well. If it were improved with some sort of gripping material to hold it in place, that probably would help significantly. Putting the holder in between the charger and the outlet seemed dangerous but I tried that my charger would not stay in place. You also cannot plug the charger in well while the phone is on the holder. It moves around way too much.

The angle of the plastic appears to be done in such a way that the phone would stay flat and balanced, but if you put the phone too close to one end or the other, gravity would cause it to slide off or the holder to topple. This is not a high-falutin' technological device, just a simple, brainless piece of plastic.

I also tested the holder with both of our phones, the optimal "setting" for us. The device did not appear to be particularly stable with two phones on it, especially with them plugged into the charger. One needs to remove the phones if one wants to do absolutely anything with them, as any sort of motion causes a shift and the phones slide off.

SO in the end, the device does not work well with our Galaxy S II charger. I tried other larger chargers that seemed to hold it in place against the outlet better, but my purpose of buying this was to be a universal holder that would especially work with my primary phone and charger, and it does not. It suits its purpose minimally but not amazingly, which nets it 3 stars.

Doesn't work with the iphone charger. Wont stay in the outlet. Cord doesn't stay coiled. I don't know what I was expecting out of a cheap piece of plastic, but this does not solve my phone charger issues whatsoever.

I have a white Drinn mobile cell phone holder, and I wanted a black one, so I ordered it here from "We Best Store". I'm sad to say that they shipped me a cheap knock off, which lives up to the worst reviews here. An actual Drinn is quite nice. I'm hoping to get a refund, but beware: false advertising here!

The outlet we use to charge our phones is in a location that requires putting the phone on the floor which seemed like an accident waiting to happen. This product solved that problem. From the reviews, I was a little afraid that our Droid X phones would be too heavy as they are larger than most cell phones. However, the plastic is rigid and strong enough to hold them and I suspect would hold something heavier like a razor.
