The charge rate of the phone will actually go down in these cases. However, if you're just using one or the other, the charge will remain constant, and may go up very slowly.This is due to the fact, of course, that the charger only outputs 700mA, which is not automatically clear in some cases. The phone apparently can use more than this amount of current when being used in the above-mentioned cases.
