Powerlet USB Type A, iPod 3G & iPad to Cigarette Adapter

This car power to USB adapter is exactly what I needed. A much better option than even the junky adapter with cord I bought at the local Apple store. It works for all my kids electronics, not just the Ipods, etc. We have had it for quite a long while now, and it has help up well and seems to be solidly made. Powerlet is a good brand.

I bought this item expecting it to be a BMW powerlet to USB adapter. For that device, a >$15 pricetag would probably be fair and I'd have paid it in a heartbeat. What this item actually is a powerlet branded standard 12v socket to USB adapter. I returned it to powerlet, and they refunded my money. Great customer service!

You might ask why then am I reviewing it? Because in my same order I purchased a griffin 12v to 2 port USB from Amazon for 2 dollars shipped. In comparison powerlet is expensive (10x the price) for what it is and quite ugly (utilitarian).

This is a good, small cigarette to USB adapter NOT a Powerlet port to USB adapter! BMW motorcycles' powerlet is a different plug.

I'm using this in the car and it does work fine, hence the 5 stars. Note that it is also bright orange and not black.
