Duracell 852-0217 MyPocket Charger for Cell Phones

This little gadget is a very cool idea, but unfortunately it seems to trigger a fault protection if a cell phone tries to draw close to (or more) than 5V/0.5A out of it. I tried a bunch of different HTC phones and this little device seems unable to feed any juice into it. On the flip side, all bluetooth headsets I tried charge fine.

Also this thing only works with real batteries it refuses to turn on if one feeds it NiMH rechargeables. Tried with Sony CycleEnergy, Sanyo Eneloop, Duracell rechargeables. It only wants real alkaline batteries. That's a pitty, since NiMH batteries have a lot more juice to feed into a gadget...

Do not buy this product. The light indicating that the charger is working only comes up about 10% of the time. When I am lucky enough that they light comes on and stays on, as soon as I connect the other end to my phone or MP3 player, the light immediately goes off. 2 HUGE, COMPLETELY UNRELATED PROBLEMS! The sign of a truly bad product. Save you're money and buy something you know will work well, like an extra battery.

I use this to charge my BlackBerry on the go if I don't have any other options available to me -it works very well, and you can store batteries in the device without worrying about killing them just leave the cables unplugged. I wasn't excited about having both the mini and micro USB cables, but now that more devices are standardizing on the micro USB, I'm glad that I have it!

I use this to keep my Garmin Forerunner 305 charged during events lastin longer than 9-10 hours. Lasted 54 hours at a temperature of -35f with 2 battery changes. Blue light goes out when the AA batteries die and need changing. What a great find.

I found this item at a warehouse club during Christmas and thought it would make great a stocking stuffer, so I bought several of them. The club store version includes both tiny connectors for the iPod and Blackberry (mini USB.)

I was eager to test this charger and had an excellent opportunity since my Blackberry was nearly dead. Upon inserted two AA batteries and connecting it to my Blackberry (Bold), the indicator light turned green and the unit became warm. It ran for about 15 minutes and then turned off. I thought it was defective since it only added one bar to the battery meter on my phone and turned off so quickly. I removed and reinserted the plug and the green light quickly turned on and then immediately off. Believing the batteries might be defective, I inserted an additional 2 cells nnd the process repeated itself, while adding another bar to my phonne. Thinking the unit was defective, I opened another new unit and tested it again with the same results.

I'm was surprised by the small amount of power generated by two AA cells, and using such a method for even emergency charging would likely take 8-10 batteries for a full charge. I tossed this unit and bought the Duracell USB Charger DR7000LI, which contains a sealed lithium ion battery and functions the same. The difference a lithium ion battery makes is remarkeable.

While this unit might charge small electonics like iPod (about 75% charge from 2 AA cells,) I cannot recommend this product, particularly if your intended use is to charge a Blackberry device.

It charges my phone just fine. I like the re tractor, keeps wires from tangling. Hopefully no problems with long use, but I only need to charge my phone in the car on long trips or if battery goes dead on the road.

I originally ordered this cheap cell phone car charger for occasional use for both my daughter's cell phone and my cell phone. Works great, reliable, well constructed, and at a great price; costs less than half what others cost. Have bought a bunch because they are so inexpensive. Rando HD Mini Car DVR Video Camera Recorder 2-inch LCD w/ HDMI Cable built-in Microphone

Just recieved the camera today. There are 3 resolutions, 1080p, 720p and native(i think thats what its called) i took videos on all 3 but i cant really tell the difference.

Took it for a stroll during the day. I think the reflection of my radar detector & car made most of everything out of focus, i will need to retest this again and hopefully, it would be clearer.

The so called "Night Mode" is BS. They just added 2 super bright LEDs and it doesnt really do much of anything. On well lite roads, it records pretty well, but on dark roads, u can only see what ur headlights are shining, its not bad though. Wide Angle? It doesnt look to wide to me.

As for most ppl ask, i actually saw license plates better at night than day. Need to be at least 1-2 car lengths to read the plates clearly though. Not sure if theres a way to make it clearer.

watching it on screen also shows this pixalated video, but im watching it no a 27" monitor was i cant blame the camera.

Overall, i like it, though i think my iPhone4 with the same megapixel can probably record a lot better...

I bought this camera to keep me covered legal wise while I was on the job driving. It works fine but it doesnt want to stay on. Out of no where, it will turn itself off for no reason. It also freezes up and stops recording for no reason. That results in me having to constantly take my eyes off the road and make sure it is still recording. This is a cheap product. I suggest spending a little more money and buying something more reliable.

I received a package with the camera very quickly in less than a week.

For comparison, a colleague of mine got the same camera from another seller about a month.

For its price the camera is very good clear images during day, and night is quite acceptable.

At the highest resolution of the video is approximately 95mb/min.

Mounting the camera on the windshield is very reliable.

The only negative the complexity of placing the camera behind the rearview mirror on a jeep.

The camera worked for about two days then the micro video card stopped working so I got another video card and the same thing happened. For some reason the cards will not work at all now. I had to return the camera. Camera was returned and money was refunded.

The product charged OK for maybe two days. Then I noticed it would lose the connection to the phone in increasing frequency. It connects maybe 5% of the time, intermittently. I don't know if this is a product manufacturing or design defect but my Samsung charges just fine with the regular AC-based charger I have that came with the phone, so I presume that the charger is to blame. I guess you get what you pay for, although I have purchased relatively cheap car chargers for other phones that worked just fine (from other manufacturers).

At half the size of comparable step-down/step-up transormers, this is an excellent piece of kit that auto-senses what voltage it is connected to and provides the alternate output. Following the guidance of having approximately twice the power capacity of your intended equipment, this 500Watt unit does not hum or buzz, has no excessive heat and is currently running my 240V UK Hi-Fi (Amp, CD and turntable) at 300Watts from a US 110V supply without any drama. I have also used it to run my wife's 240V sowing machine without any problems. It's small size helps to hide it away behind furniture, but if you can't hide it, its not obtrusive. Its power cable came with a moulded euro 2-pin plug fitted, which I replaced with a standard US plug.

I bought this item for some friends visiting from Europe who had brought a number of devices with them from Europe. Most of the converters/adapters are one way hence if you try to find an adapter in the US most will be for 110 to 220. also most have very low power amp ratings. Worse then useless for a Euopean who needs one after they get here. This device works in both directions! It automatically adjusts the out put voltage/current based on what you plug it into. If you use this in the US it will convert 110 to 220. If you are in Europe it will convert 220 to 110. How great is that? Whats more it can do more then just power your camera or IPOD. You can plug Laptops, hair dyers, electric shavers you name it into it. Most units that do this are very large comercial units that are hard to find and cost an arm a and a leg etc. This unit is true universal adapter. It is small works both ways and has a high power rating. Its not expensive! Dont try to use your arc welder with it but for most everyday hand appliances and electronics this device just Rocks.

I bought this to use on an overseas preamp from Germany and it works great! The automatic voltage feature is cool it looks at the incoming voltage and based off of that converts to the other voltage 110v goes to 220v and vice versa.

This makes no noise, it doesn't run hot, and it doesn't introduce noise into a very high end audio system.

The only thing to be aware of is that the plug it comes with is for Europe you need to order a plug adaptor to use it here in the US. Buy one on Amazon and save a lot vs. having to run elsewhere and paying way too much!

Great product! Light: 1.9 kg and very small (compared to the competition), and you don't have to worry about nothing: if detects the voltage of the outlet your are plugin it to and automatically converts to the opposite voltage, like 220 --> 110 or 110 --> 220. But the best part is that you don't need to change fuses as this one comes with a thermal fuse, meaning: if you over connect appliances to the converter if will automatically go off and the you just need to hit the RESET button. this is a good system. I am a fan of kenwood products and this is no let down. it has all the funtions you need for a good sound system. however, if I had it to do over, I would get the 503 model (the upgrade). It has enough added features to make it a great instead of good system.

There are alot of programming features that are not available on this model, and the display is hard to read. The feature I miss the most is it does not give song and artist. This had been purchased new by the previous owner of my car. It was only a few months old when I received it. I hate it. The previous owner said you had to be a rocket scientist to program the simplest functions, and he was right. But after you've spent a weekend reading the manual and trying to get the various menus to work, the worst aspects of the unit set in. Operating the thing is the most frustrating experience I've ever had with a indash unit (I've had dozens and dozens). The joystick knob performs so many functions that a slight variation in how it pressed (the amount of pressure, the length of time pressure is made, and the direction of pressure) all make it do things you don't want. When you do luckily operate it perfectly, it still requires multiple more buttons to push before you can do something as simple as simply changing from cd to radio. Also, it is impossible to read the led readout in the daytime. I really do hate this thing and highly recommend to anyone considering a similarly made product by Kenwood to look elsewhere.

This is actually a review for the 503 which is basically the same as this one I believe. The only difference being that the 503 has a usb port, which is AWESOME. Its what I primarily use it for 99% of the time. Its great, I just plug my flash drive in and play. It also looks really cool especially at night. I've never changed it from the demo mode where it changes colors, its my favorite one. The only gripe is that the tuner is messed up, but I think its because of the way I installed it, it doesn't matter to me because I don't use the tuner.

I'd definitely buy another kenwood product, have had this for about 3 years with no problems. I've had the remote fall to the ground and break open at least a dozen times getting out of my car and forgetting it was on my lap, and its still in great shape.

Got this little gem as a replacement for my KIA factory CD. had to up grade the rear speakes from factory but this unit rocks my little car and produces clear sound and base. good price and very good quality product, but then again its a Kenwood I wouldn't expect any thing less. Well worth the money.

Bottom line first: You get what you pay for. In an industry where a couple hundred will get you a decent radio, paying fifty for a little yellow one would lead one to expect it to be less than fully effective. I so expected and was very pleasantly surprised to find this little radio much better than my limited expectation. It is a little hard to learn how to program, but there are a number of good runthroughs on Youtube and a community of experienced fans all ready to help. With all that I was able to get the local repeaters loaded in and I got on the air for the first time with my fresh Tech License, and am now one of the guys. No Elmer yet, but I can recommend these fun little radios, with only the warning that it takes a bit of learning to get it fully up to speed.

This is $3.00(inc'l s/h). You gotta be kidding me. I bought a charger from ebay that was $5.00 that almost bricked my Zune; the touchpad did not work for hours. I came on Amazon, then, and after reading the reviews, I gave it another try. It shipped by mail, to your mailbox, not UPS or Fed-Ex, which is why the shipping is so cheap. It came in a box and a tamper-proof bag. Good choice, haha./ I opened it, and speculated the quality. It was hecka lot higher quality than I expected. No loose connections, or uneven structure. The cord is about 3 1/2 feet long, which is acceptable. There is a charge indicating light, which is pretty convenient, to which I'm sure sure is really necessary, or functional, but that doesn't matter. I plugged it in, and the input to the Zune was too big to fit the case; it is wider than the OEM charger that comes with the Zune. You also have to wiggle it in to fit the charger into the Zune input. But, it's a minor hassle. It charges right when plugged in, and I'm satisfied. Yay

Easy to wire and it worked flawlessly for 2 weeks. It stopped giving an accurate reading for unknown reasons..Product is way overpriced for the shortlived performance . I was surprised when I received the indicator and saw how tiny it was. Hooked it up with a toggle switch that I purchased separately and it worked fine for a short while..I thought that my battery (a $650.00, 250ah, 12 volt agm solar batt) was faulty. The indicator has four connection points. They are marked + negative and C ignore the blank one. As the instructions state. Attach pos to pos and neg to neg. directly onto the battery. Then attach C to the positive connection on your accessory or whatever you're running.

Wasnt hard to wire up and saves the guessing out of how much life is left in the trolling motor battery

Inexpensive. We weren't in a hurry to receive this so it was no big deal that it took about 10 days to get here. If you read the reviews time seemed to be a factor for the bad ones. Based on my transaction I recomend this seller. Just as described. Works perfect.

Powerlet USB Type A, iPod 3G & iPad to Cigarette Adapter

This car power to USB adapter is exactly what I needed. A much better option than even the junky adapter with cord I bought at the local Apple store. It works for all my kids electronics, not just the Ipods, etc. We have had it for quite a long while now, and it has help up well and seems to be solidly made. Powerlet is a good brand.

I bought this item expecting it to be a BMW powerlet to USB adapter. For that device, a >$15 pricetag would probably be fair and I'd have paid it in a heartbeat. What this item actually is a powerlet branded standard 12v socket to USB adapter. I returned it to powerlet, and they refunded my money. Great customer service!

You might ask why then am I reviewing it? Because in my same order I purchased a griffin 12v to 2 port USB from Amazon for 2 dollars shipped. In comparison powerlet is expensive (10x the price) for what it is and quite ugly (utilitarian).

This is a good, small cigarette to USB adapter NOT a Powerlet port to USB adapter! BMW motorcycles' powerlet is a different plug.

I'm using this in the car and it does work fine, hence the 5 stars. Note that it is also bright orange and not black.

Premium White Rapid Car Charger (with IC CHIP) for Apple iPhone 3G

I bought this product since it advertised as compatible with my 3G iPhone. To my dismay, I took it on a trip and found that it does not work. The only time it would charge is when the 3G iPhone was completely drained... the charger would start charging the iPhone until it was about 10% charged, then the phone would turn itself on and stop charging.

I've tried it in multiple cigarette outlets in different cars with different voltages. All with the same result. I've read that the 3G iPhone no longer supports the firewire pin charging, only USB charging. I wonder if some manufacturers don't know this and just slapped the 3G iPhone label on their old iPod/iPhone chargers. I got a cigarette charger that has a USB port and connects to the USB iPhone cableand it works like a charm. To be safe, you may be better off getting one of those instead of this thing and save yourself some trouble.

Yes, it was delievered in a timly fashion. But the stupid thing died not even a week after it was delievered. I thought it was my car's outlet so i tried plugging it into another car, and same deal.

Stay away, save your self some aggrivation and buy a charger from a more reliable source.

Nice to have a car charge for the iphone 3G. The iphone is a known battery hog and mine is often near empty by the end of the day.

The main negative of this item is its size. The charger is too long and bulky and hard to fit into the smaller interiors of many of todays cars.

My charger came (two days earlier than estimated) and works fine. Item is exactly as pictured. Not the highest quality ever, but perfectly fine for the price.

CHarger works great....have a little trouble with it working when it is bitter cold, but I leave it in my car, so that could be the issue.

Other than that minor thing, it has worked great and I see no issues with it.
