Premium Car Charger For Garmin GPS Nuvi 755T

Premium Car Charger For Garmin GPS Nuvi 755T
  • Brand new non-OEM
  • Vehicle Lighter Adaptor. (12~24v DC)
  • Intelligent IC chip inside recognizes a full battery and automatically switch to a saver
  • Plug never heats or overcharges the battery

This unit does NOT work for the Garmin Nuvi 755T GPS. Instead of the end that should plug into the holding frame of the GPS, the connecting plug only plugs into where you update map info. Very disappointing!!! After ordering a charging cable from another source and receiving the WRONG cable I bought a new GPS.

BatteryMINDer Battery Charger / Maintainer with Desulphator - 12 Volt 2/4/8 Amp, Model# 12248

BatteryMINDer Battery Charger / Maintainer with Desulphator - 12 Volt 2/4/8 Amp, Model# 12248I did a bit of research before purchasing this product. If you want a quick charge, I have read that your battery won't last as long. For battery life, the ideal charge is low amerage. I appreciate that this charger provides a low amp charge to the battery. I had an older battery charger that I believe prematurely destroyed one of my 12v batteries, so I did my best to find the best value replacement. As a matter of fact, the way I saw the older charger behaving (according to my digital multimeter), I was concerned that it could cause the battery to explode or start a fire. I decided to get a new one. I looked at all of the battery chargers I could find on Amazon and other sites. Eventually, I settled on this particular model for these reasons:

1. Provides a low amperage charge, which is supposed to help prolong battery life.

2. Desulphination mode, which is supposed to help prolong battery life.

3. Safety shutoff features, so that it doesn't overcharge the battery.

4. Reads the battery polarity and illuminates a red light if you have it reversed.

5. Excellent review on Amazon and other sites that sell battery chargers.

I've only been using the battery minder for a couple of months, but I think it is working well. The recharges and maintenance modes seem appropriate. The batteries seem to last a long time after I charge them. This product seems to be living up to the claims and ratings. I am impressed.

Years ago a solid state battery charger would be ignored by most as unreliable and/or cheap. Times changed and now many solid state items represent those of the best quality. I've found this product line to be one of those lacking nothing and of the best quality. The five year warranty that comes with it helps re-enforce that idea.

Yes, this product is made in China to the American (USA) VDC company technological standards. I wish everything could be made here in the US as I am USA born. That's no longer the case with many of the product names I grew up with at least VDC is still an American company based in Huntington, New York. But still, I'm glad I purchased my BatteryMinder 12248 over a year back in 2011.

There-in was also something I found especially refreshing. When I opened the packaging, I wasn't greeted with instructions in some other language but in my own native English taught to every US citizen and recognized as the true one language of our country by most Americans. Seeing instructions in every language always tells me some portion of what I spent on a product went into all those other translations especially irksome when, to start with, the language is SUPPOSED to be English for products sold in the US. The small instruction manual is clear there's just 35 pages VDC would like you to look over first to improve your knowledge of this product. That's nothing excessive or unreasonable. I actually like to know the proper use of products just like I enjoy knowing the proper way to operate a vehicle I'm driving down the road. I find it safer that way, and my cars all last longer for my knowing how to drive and maintain them and I'm also sure other passengers, drivers, and pedestrians appreciate my responsibility.

I could have easily used the 12248 without the manual by just using a little common sense and knowing how batteries are sized and what type they are, but the manual does contain everything you need to know concerning the operation of the 12248. There are also printed instructions on the unit. Nothing difficult in use, and even if it was VDC provides a technical service number right on the manual. That number is also on the unit. They even answer it quickly I know, I called them to start the warranty on my purchase and to inquire about the free battery tester they will send you for registering your product.

Enough with the literature and literacy. The VDC BatteryMINDer 12248 will charge/maintain up to six batteries at a time with full-time desulfation. This is why I wanted it. It also has low amperage draw in use, and provides temperature compensation also important in my hot Southern US climate. An earlier purchase of a BatteryMINDer 12151 (engine compartment mounted style) proved to me the patented BatteryMINDer desulfation technology works and works very well (see my 12151 review here at Amazon "BatteryMinder 1.5A or BatteryMinder 1.3A? (chuckle) Like the "Tortoise and the Hare" When Compared To Some Chargers.").

The 12248 still isn't the fastest charger with only a top output of 8 Amperes, but it's not the tortoise the 12151 is either when recharging a dead battery. Is desulfation faster using the 12248 instead of the 12151? Possibly, but not necessarily. The 12151 just can't charge and desulfate more than one battery at a time, and it only charges with a reported maximum of 1.5 Amperes although I have seen a 12151 charge at 1.8A for short initial start-up periods. The 12151 is also designed to be permanently installed to a vehicle, whereas the 12248 is a "bench" charger that can either be hung from a bench or used sitting on a bench it also sits on four rubber pads for this.

This model 12248 comes with the $20 temperature compensator with ring terminal option supplied, and a ring terminal battery connector with 15 Amp fuse for a permanent charging connection to a vehicle mounted battery. All terminal connectors and fuses are also supplied with well fitted caps to prevent corrosion from moisture and to and keep out dirt. It also has the standard spring clip connector with 15 Amp fuse. Nice wire lengths have also been supplied to all cables that make connections simple in most any proper use of the unit.

The only caveat I've noticed is the temperature sender cable pins can be connected wrong if not paying close attention. If you look closely, you can see a minus and positive sign at each connection terminal that should be observed when making the electrical temperature cable connections. A red marking for positive would make this connection much easier, or pins that only fit one way.

I plan to update this review as more use is applied to the 12248 with various batteries. (chuckle) Nothing quite like an on-going accounting of product performance.

My first (far reaching) trial:

settings: 8 Amp, Standard lead-acid, temperature sensor clamped to the negative battery post

A thirteen year old, 75DG size group, Grand L 3010 HST Kubota diesel tractor standard lead acid battery that somehow still hangs on despite it would no longer start the tractor it came with. After about nine years of good service, up until it wouldn't start my Grand L, this battery was replaced with a new one and forgotten in a corner of my garage. This battery had a swollen case and plates, and had been sitting idle and untouched for roughly five years in that corner. One month back, I had put a quick charge on this battery and had it reading 12.6 volts when I immediately started using it for some very light electrical duty. Over the next several weeks I continued using it a few times to power a car radio system I was working on in my garage. It was still showing 11.4 volts when I connected the BatteryMINDer 12248 and made the proper settings. The 12248 accepted it and began charging it. After 30 minutes, I used an Amprobe digital meter to check the voltage and amperes being put out by the 12248 at the battery they were; volts@14.01-14.02, amperes@.10-.12 with a solid green charge indicator.

July 28 (eight days after connection) voltage while connected was at 13.22 volts, the same as when checked after the initial 24 hours of connection. Since day two, the voltage has remained the same and the charge indicator has been flashing. Amperes are at .16 and are the same as they were when checked on day two. Visual inspection of the plates shows the normal coloration of light and dark plates returning. The case end swelling is also diminishing. Of course, I don't expect this 13 year old battery to ever be capable of supplying the heavier amperage loads it once could without self-destruction, but it will be interesting to see what it can withstand. For my purposes, this battery will only be used in my garage for temporary power on a work bench with light loads it may even be usefull for some boost starts on equipment with weak but still marginally functioning batteries. For these purposes it should be fine, as it continues to charge and desulfate well on the 12248. A standard charger would have simply burned and cracked all the plates, and boiled the battery acid solution away long before now leaving the battery useless with dead, shorted, and open cells. As it is, the 12248 is rebuilding a lot of capacity to this old battery.

August 5 On August 2nd I had checked this battery with the 12248 connected using my Amprobe digital meter. I noticed the voltage was varying slightly between 13.20 and 13.24. A check of the supplied amperage showed rapid changes occuring varying from .08 to .94 amperes. This peculiar amperage behavior in maintain mode is different from the 12151 BatteryMINDers I have installed to two of my vehicles. I removed the charger and checked the battery after a twelve hour "rest". The battery showed 12.70 volts. I reconnected the charger and saw the voltage initially increase to 14.5, and then begin dropping. Amps were initially steady at .10. After two hours, I checked and found the charger back in maintain mode and again at 13.20-13.24 volts and amperage varying from .08 to .94. I checked again today and saw everything the same except the case swelling now appears almost gone. During the time the charger is off this older battery, I've been putting it on a year old 78DLG Duralast Gold 800 CCA battery from Auto Zone. This battery now shows 12.88 volts after a twenty-four hour rest after each time it has been connected to the 12248. Once I'm better satisfied with the charge condition of the old Kubota battery, I plan to connect it and the Duralast battery in parallel and make use of some of the multiple battery charging capability of this 12248. Even if these two batteries do have a large difference in age, they still match in type and are close in size group.

August 23 On August 12th I finally felt secure in how stable the condition of the old battery was and connected the much newer Duralast in parallel. There had been no changes in the BatteryMINDer output on the older battery alone, the plates in the battery were looking good, and there was no longer any case swelling. Afterwards, I fairly well forgot about the two batteries connected in parallel to the BatteryMINDER 12248 until today. Again, I had checked the BatteryMINDer output when I first connected the batteries. The voltage was staying about 13.23 and amperes were steady at .10 when first checked. Today, the voltage was varying slightly between 13.21-13.23 and amperes were varying up and down between .12-.15. A look inside, to see those 13 year old Kubota battery plates, revealed plates that now look almost new in coloration and conformation. Could it be the BatteryMINDer 12248 is restoring this formerly dead and unused 13 year old battery, that lay useless for almost five years, to an almost new condition? From just looking into the cells at those plates, it appears so after a month on the BattryMINDer 12248. After a few more weeks on this BatteryMINDer, I'm going to load test this old battery out of pure curiosity. I have the thought that it would start my Kubota diesel tractor, it came new with, right now with no problems.

Update 10/24/11:

I finally got around to load testing the 13 year old Kubota battery. IT PASSED! I also used it to start my Grand L Kubota, and it started the tractor just like a brand new battery. This is an amazing recovery that makes me wonder how many "bad" batteries I could have saved and continued to use through the years, if I had only had this BatteryMINDer 12248. It's great to find a tool, and a company, that truly saves you money.

Update 9/11/2012:

I have't lost a single battery since I put this 12248 in service, and all the batteries I mentioned above are still doing fine and in service. I also have purchased multiple 12151 BatteryMINDers, and have them installed to my stored vehicles. It's very nice to just turn the key on a vehicle that has been in storage for many months and hear the engine roar to life with just a turn of the key minus jumper cables. It's also nice to know all your batteries have been kept fresh and ready for good service by simply using a BatteryMINDer.

Update 12/23/2012:

The 13 year old battery finally developed an open cell condition causing its voltage to drop. At least the BatteryMINDer did give me another surprising year of use from it. I have also recharged a dead 9 year old "gold top" AutoZone battery and have its voltage back up. It was unable to start the old GMC pickup truck it was in, as I was unable to recover enough capacity using the BatteryMINDer on it for that purpose, but it's still maintaining proper voltage and usable for lower current draw applications such as quickly checking 12 volt parts for operation or temporary 12 volt lighting during a power outage. So, some batteries will just be too far gone in one way or another for help from a BatteryMINDer. However, I have recovered two expensive Odyssey batteries and a now 6 year old sealed Delco that are still working great. One of the Odyssey batteries is 8+ years old and used in a Trans Am with a high compression V-8 and strong Kenwood amplifiers in that car. The other sits in my antique '57 Ford 640 tractor. I was able to recover both of those batteries to 100%. The Delco had died several times in my 2007 Silverado before it was four years old (I replaced it with a new battery after four years). After recovering that factory Delco to 100%, I put it back in my Silverado and have had no more trouble from it. I did add a BatteryMINDer under the hood of that truck, as it has parasitic draws that had even killed the new battery I had placed in it. I brought the new battery back with this BatteryMINDer and placed it in the old GMC pickup. Overall, BatteryMINDer has saved me around $600 to date and I really like that.

I've been using the small BatteryMinders (the 1.3 Amp maintainers) for the past few years and decided that for some of my larger batteries, especially the deep cycle setup used in conjunction with a set of solar panels, that I needed something that was capable of pushing much more than 1.3 Amps. Enter this product with its 2 / 4 / 8 Amp settings and the ability to automatically reduce the Amp "push" and start cycling the battery (or in my case batteries, as I have 4 large deep cycle batteries connected in parallel) with a maintenance charge.

So far I've been very happy with this product as I have been with the 1.3 Amp BatteryMinder in the past. The construction is solid, a direct-wire connector is included, the ability to connect directly with included clips is great, and there isn't that "it's going to break next week" cheap feel that some of the other competing products have (I bought a used bike and a competing product came with it now it is hooked up to a BatterMinder and the other charger is sitting in a box).

If you have need to keep a large battery or bank of batteries well maintained and on a steady charge, be they for your trolling motor or a battery backup for your sump pump (because the power always seems to fail during a rain storm just when you need that pump most), I strongly recommend this product.

I installed this for my 4 very large house batteries on my RV. Since it cost about $1800 dollars to replace those batteries I am interested in getting as long a life as possible. It has been in place for about 2 weeks and so far it is doing what I expected. The batteries hold a charge longer than before. This type of battery in Arizona normally lasts about 4 years, and this set is 18 months old and beginning to show its age. But with this device installed they are back to about 95% of what they were when they were new. My only complaint is about the temperature sensor that can be used with the unit, it does not come with the device, but is an extra cost option. I think it should be included since it provides a feature of the device.

I attempted to use some cheep harbor freight 2 stage chargers and ended up ruining 6 batteries ranging from 40.00 to 125.00 each. They continuously overcharged and boiled my batteries dry. I purchased these Batteryminder chargers to try and salvage my batteries. It worked and saved 3 of the six. Thats about 200.00 worth of batteries I have been able to reclaim. I am very pleased with the product and also purchased their 2,6,8 amp model for my large deep cycle batteries. The instructions say that if after charging, your battery won't hold 11 volts they probably have a shorted cell. The three batteries that couldn't be reclaimed had bulged cases and only showed between 5 and 8 volts after bulk charging with a regular automotive charger. Hope this helps you decide if yours may be reclaimed. The three batteries that were reclaimed would charge past 11 volts but when load testing dropped off immediately to less than 6 volts. They must have been heavily sulfated because they are as good as ever now after desulfating for several days. I wish I had made this purchase years ago. I would have saved alot of money. Oh well live and learn.

Premium Rapid Car Charger (with IC CHIP) for HTC 5800 / Fusion / S720, Touch Dual, Touch Cruise (Po

Premium Rapid Car Charger for HTC 5800 / Fusion / S720, Touch Dual, Touch Cruise, Touch / XV6900, Shadow, Tilt 8925 / TyTN II, Mogul / XV6800 / PPC6800 / P4000, Wing / P4350, Dash / S620 / S621The charger works pretty good. It charges my Tilt's battery with a level higher then a PC USB cord but lower then a regular wall-jack electrical charger.

The only issue I have with this charger is that it's cord is quite short, such that when connected I'll have to look down to the phone, if for example somebody is calling and I want to see who it is.

Over all, for the ridiculously low price paid, can't really complain.

THIS IS A HORRIBLE PRODUCT, IT DOES NOT WORK AND DID NOT WORK FROM THE TIME THAT I PURCHASED IT AND IT GOT TO MY HOME!!!

DEWALT Bare-Tool DC515B 18-Volt Cordless 1/2 Gallon Wet/Dry Portable Vacuum (Tool Only, No Battery)

DEWALT Bare-Tool DC515B 18-Volt Cordless 1/2 Gallon Wet/Dry Portable VacuumIts a little noisy, but thats because it's actually doing something. If you already own 18 volt DeWalt tools, batteries, and a charger, then this is a really nice all-purpose tool to have around for a reasonable price. I haven't used it with any fluids yet, but it seems to have enough power to do that with no problem. The quick-change-quick-charge batteries are just as handy on this as they are on all of the other DeWalt tools. This won't do what a shop vac does, but it handles medium-small particles nicely. It doesn't come with any tools other than the detachable hose. The pictures are not always exceedingly clear, but the hose is normally stretched over the handle and anchored in the small yellow end which serves as the main vacuum nozzle. This "nozzle" is hard plastic with a fixed shape, but it seems to work well for most encounters. The detachable hose stretches out a few feet so it reaches about as far as an arm can reach, making it is handy, too. I think that this is worthy of the DeWalt name.

O.K., this thing is a beautiful piece of equipment. Don't listen to all the nit-picking garbage of some of these other reviews.

1) Yes, it is a bit on the loud side. The motor has virtually no sound insulation with the obvious reason of keeping the weight and size minimal. This really is not a big deal as you are probably only using it for a couple minutes at a time. I'm actually a bit shocked that so many people seem to have such a problem with the noise. From the reviews you'd think that they are holding a jet engine in their hand. If you have any experience with power tools or shop vacs, the noise is a non-issue, just don't use it next to someone napping on the couch!!

2) The suction power for its size and weight is exceptionally good. It is SO much better than a traditional hand vacuum that it's really not comparable. My Hoover wet-dry hand vac was instantly rendered pointless and offered to my neighbor as a gift.

3) No, the capacity is not terribly large, but it is not designed for picking up a great deal of material. If you're concerned about this, know that opening the container and emptying it is extremely simple and quick. If it's still not big enough, you obviously need a shop vac, not this.

4) Yes, if you are vacuuming up fine particles such as drywall dust or fine sawdust, the filter clogs fairly quickly and you will start to lose suction. The filter is probably actually a bit TOO good for very fine particles. Nothing gets through it. Both a positive and negative really. My recommendation is to simply remove the cylinder type filter after EVERY use with fine material and clean it by smacking it a few times on your palm over a garbage can, preferably outside. The filter comes out extremely easily after the collection container is removed. Just a quarter turn and it pops off. Simple and fast. As a general rule, cleaning the filter regularly is a must to keep the suction high.

On the whole, an excellent item. I would however recommend to anyone from Dewalt reading these reviews to seriously consider including a crevice tool to attach to the hose. It would be an excellent addition and could be mounted on some sort of external clip on the side of the housing or perhaps the housing itself could have a storage opening engineered into the body of the housing itself to slide the tool into to store it when not using it. Other than this minor gripe, I have no complaints. I intend to go out and find a crevice tool that fits the hose, 1 1/4 inch, but I really shouldn't have to at this price, it should come with one.

Buy DEWALT Bare-Tool DC515B 18-Volt Cordless 1/2 Gallon Wet/Dry Portable Vacuum (Tool Only, No Battery) Now

Just got this vacuum today and it is great. Has wonderful suction. Other reviews talk about it being noisy. This is not true. It is no louder than any other dust buster. I bought it without the battery as we have plenty of them from other Dewalt tools. I have already thrown away my dust buster. Highly recommend it.

I call this One-Bad-Mamma-Jamma dustbuster! My wife calls it the Roach-Sucker. If you pull the hose out of the nozzle you can stretch it out and chase down even the most wiley roach. Just get the nozzle close the the little runner and he's toast. Oh, remember to empty it out before the roach starts decaying in the bin...

This is not a toy like every useless rechargeable dustbuster. It's a real shopvac, just smaller. It has enough suction to replace a low-end shop vac, but be warned, it is about as loud as a full size vac too.

The bare tool is a great way to get the vac at a reasonable price if you already have an 18v drill or whatever. You'll toss out the crappy little dust buster and never look back. Just be careful cleaning up really fine dusty messes, it is difficult to clean stuff like drywall dust out of the filter.

Want DEWALT Bare-Tool DC515B 18-Volt Cordless 1/2 Gallon Wet/Dry Portable Vacuum (Tool Only, No Battery) Discount?

I got this for my wife as a portable vac for the house. I was tired of the home, portable vacs that die all the time and only last a few years. Although this is a little bigger and heavier, it has twice the power and capacity and, can suck up liquids as well, and is easier to empty. I will build a rack to hang it in a closet. It only costs about 20% more than the poor quality portable home vacs. Because I have 1/2 a dozen Dewalt tools that use this battery (I have 4 batteries and two chargers), I know I will always have a charged battery for the unit. It doesn't come with any attachments but I found that my central vac tools fit on the Dewalt hose (which is quite short by the way). Believe it or not, it was a perfect Christmas present for her. She was thrilled!

HQRP 20A Solar Panel Battery Charge Controller / Regulator 12V / 24V 20 Amp 300W with PWM Type of C

HQRP 20A Solar Panel Battery Charge Controller / Regulator 12V / 24V 20 Amp 300W with PWM Type of Charging plus HQRP UV TesterFirst, let me say that I am not an electrician of PV professional. I do not claim any expertise, but I do claim to have done and continue to do research. I know nothing about this subject 1 year ago.

Now, let's consider the intended use of this unit. It is NOT a high end solar/wind charge controller and it does not pretend to be so my rating is not comparing it to a MidNite Solar MPPT 250VDC 61A unit costing $700+. This is an inexpensive piece of Chinese electronics made for 4-stage battery changing in tiny-to-small PV systems. Based on everyone else's comments, it works fine when used within it's rated capacity and does not work when used outside of its rated capacity. Go figure. If like some comments indicate you have no idea what wire gauge to use given your voltage and resistance due to temperature and conduit run length, if you don't know to look at the NEC sections 310.15 310.17 to determine appropriate conductor ampacities, well... you may need to either do a little more studying (Photovoltaic Design & Installation for Dummies by Ryan Mayfield is a most excellent resource if read diligently and not a dust collector on a shelf), or pay someone who knows what they are doing to set up your PV system, or simply return your unit and cease talking about things you don't know about. DIY projects should only be undertaken by DIYers willing to perform due diligence research instead of purchasing mismatched components. If you smoke your inverter it is 95% probably because you screwed up, not because the inverter was mis-wired internally. Even diligent research may not be enough, but it is better than ordering things randomly and rating it a 1 without even knowing what wire gauge to wire it up with.

As for the product review: The controller is housed in a respectably thick plastic box with a metal backplate. As someone complained, yes it rattles when it is shaken. This is due to two things: the On/Off button (far right) rattles on the housing, and the wire connection panel (center bottom) which is attached to the circuit board rattles when no wires are secured. Neither of these are defects, it's just that this is made using inexpensive design (a spring would have stopped the On/Off button rattle) and the rattles of an out of the box unit are a by-product of that. When screwed into a plywood mounting board, nothing will be rattling. There are no loose parts in the unit.

This unit is made by an unknown manufacturer. HQRP purchases the units from the manufacturer, slaps an HQRP sticker on the unit face, and ships it. The packaging box does not even show HQRP anywhere. The take away from this is that this is a commodity item, purchased by many companies such as HQRP who put their own peel-off sticker on the housing. The brand is not really HQRP, the brand is China.

I certainly do not expect this unit to last long a few years at best. It has two 35A (or was it 30A?) auto-style fuses soldered directly onto the circuit board. If your unit ever quits working, remove the 4 back plate screws, then remove the 4 circuit board screws, and pull the board and check the fuses. It that's the problem, just use a soldering iron ($8 on Amazon) with rosin-core solder to replace fuses if necessary. Make sure the finished solder got hot enough to solidify smooth and shiny and not gray and grainy looking.

I plan on putting 20A fuses (what it's rated at) in front of the unit to insure they burn out before the 35A fuses inside the unit, and I'll gang my 24V panels appropriately to keep peak amperage under 20A.

My plan is to build out my PV system over years as finances allow. As a starter controller, this is a good choice given my current panel/battery setup. Later as I upgrade it can be re-purposed for my horse trailer or shared with my daughter for a science project or reboxed and shelved in a Faraday cage as a backup.

Compared to a "real" PV system component such as from MidNite Solar or Outback Power, this unit rates a 2. But that's comparing an apple to an orange tree. For it's niche, this is a nice little controller with a lot of good features. It does exactly what it is intended to do to provide an inexpensive controller/regulator functionality for a small 12/24VDC PV system. In achieving that goal, it deserves a 5.

This 20 amp controller is exactly what I needed for my Solar electric trike.

I previously purchased an MPPT 15 amp controller that would trip out daily during my ride to and from work (about 1.5 miles one way) That was my poor shotgun guessing skills. When I did the math and found I was drawing 18 amps I saw my problem.

So far the unit has tripped once due to an undervoltage, this was after putting about 10 miles on the bike and then climbing a hill.

I've had this controller for about 3 weeks and have had no other issues.

At first I didn't know how this solar controller would work in an RV. After installing it I am pleased with the way it operates. One of the lessons learned was to hook up the wiring in the sequence noted in the installation instructions. Otherwise, it will not operate. I bought this to add solar power to my camper. Mine has different connectors (I like the one in this picture better) and it didn't come with a fuse... that would have been nice. But it keeps my two deep cycle marine batteries fully charged from two 100w panels. The 12v accessory hookup is nice to run things directly from the panels when the batteries are fully charged.

For the money it's a good deal.

It also displays the Countdown and Parking Meter timers when running, and the Parking meter timer emits warnings at 15 minutes, 5 minutes and at expiration so you can make sure to feed the meter. These 4 bits of information can be displayed in the Info Center by pressing the menu wheel while the Status screen is active to toggle and show each one.Two Car operation: when users decide to change to a paired 2nd vehicle, Responder HD will automatically check the vehicle's availability, and if the desired car is not available it will let you know. Responder HD will identify the bypassed sensors on-screen and by name so the user knows exactly the level of security they have chosen. After bypassing sensors, the Sensor Status icon will be updated so the user can easily see those sensors are bypassed each time the Status Screen is displayed.Remote start Fault and Not Available reporting: if the user attempts to operate a security or remote start feature that is not available, Responder HD will identify the fault so it can be quickly resolved. The intended use and user value of Viper Responder HD constitute nothing less than a new higher level of connection between drivers and their vehicles. With an MSRP of $799, Responder HD is a new level of luxury in the world of vehicle security and convenience. From up to one mile distance from their vehicle, users can stay in constant contact using an advanced and elegant, full-color interface device: their Responder HD keychain remote.

This a fantastic bargain , my local car stereo shop (Mobile-one) has it for $699.00 and another $600.00 for installation. The alarm has everything you could one on a modern alarm /remote start . It also comes with 2 ports for xtra sensors which is great . I payed at mobile-one $1100.00 for a viper 5901 last january , the alarm only lasted 11 months and the brain went out, I brought it back to them , since they installed it , they took the brain out and told me to send it to viper my self , Viper does not want to give another alarm ( so dont believe that bull crap about a lifetime warranty from viper) . the best thing you can do is to order it from Amazon with all the xtras ( radar sensor, ultrasonic sensor, 516U voice module ) and you will only spend about $420.00 which is better than 1100.00 . By the way the reason I dont like the remotes is because they are to sensitive , if you dont pay attention the car will star with out you even known it.

Purchased this alarm from hooked on tronics and arrived in a timely manner. I really liked that they made me sign for the package vs just leaving it at the door. I installed this myself and couldn't get the remote start to work. Turns out I had to disconnect the bypass module from the brain to program the remote start! Once programmed I plugs it back in and worked like a charm. I really dislike that they don't give you install instructions! The remote is a little sensitive if I keep the remote in my pocket and i tend to accidentally start my car!

Very responsive controller. works like charm. Great item for cold and extremely hot weather. Most cars will need bypass module. runs anywhere from 50 to 100 extra.

I've had a stalker for over twenty years. He's a mechanic by trade and one of his favorite things to do is vandalize my vehicle. I just had my Viper alarm installed two days ago after the last fix to my car from his vandalism.

He had cut wires to my cooling system last year, which caused the car to overheat and blew the engine. $4000 for that.

Tonight the Viper likely paid for itself. Just myself and my son live on two fenced acres, we were asleep when the alarm went off at a little after midnight. My dogs went nuts, we went out to check the car and found a big handprint in the condensation on the hood. A little later, after we went in the house, the dogs went nuts again and we went out on our porch to check and heard someone going over the fence. I called the police and reported it and they came out and checked everything.

I couldn't be happier! Stalker got a good shock. The car is no longer sitting there waiting for him to do damage to it. Love this alarm!

Official Angled / Bent style OEM Car Charger for BlackBerry 9630 Tour Phone! Original Equipment and ManufacturerI bought this for my wife, it's much cheaper than getting one from a cell phone store. Charger fit phone perfect, and no problems with the plug on the car side either. Price was right and if I needed another I would have no problem buying this again.

This is why I love Amazon...great product, essentially the same thing you'd get at the retail cell phone store...but for a LOT less. Mine is working fine, still using it. Very satisfied!

  • This Bundle Includes 12 Items (Non OEM): USB Car Charger, USB Travel Charger, USB Data Cable, 3.5mm Audio Cable, Black Speaker, Headphone, Black and Pink Soft Skins, Armband, Beltclip, Screen Protector, Fishbone Keychain
  • USB Car charger: 12-24V, USB Wall charger: 100-240V, 2.0 USB cable is great for charging or to transfer data
  • Power this speaker with USB power cord (included) or go cordless with 4 x AAA batteries (not included)
  • Soft silicone skin case is extremely durable and provides a soft comfortable grip
  • Compatible with Samsung YP-P2 ONLY (MP3 Player Not Included)

I gave this bundle 3 stars only because the wall charger burned out. The car adapter worked awesome, though, and the speakers actually sound decent. I do wish the USB adapter for the speakers would also work as the sound outlet, or charge the batteries (if you had re-chargeables in there) rather than just providing a power source for the speakers themselves.

Still, for $20 bucks it's a damned useful bundle and if you have a PS2 (or similar mp3 player) I recommend it.

Pico 6382pt 6awg 50a Contacthsg Batt C

Pico 6382pt 6awg 50a Contacthsg Batt CThis is a good 6AWG connector for battery cables. It would not be a good connector for wet environments as the back is open. But you could wrap it up in tape. It was the only connector I could find for the large 6 awg wires.

I got this to use with my trailer winch. This is a single connector, not a pair. It fit good with the old connector that was already on my truck. I am satisfied with it and would do the same purchase again.

This is intended for you to solder the cable into the metal tabs but you could probably crimp it instead if you absolutely have to. Quality is good I don't think any other brands would be better. After the first season it is still working good.

I think the shipping (and handling) was rather high ($1 more than the part cost) but I did know this up front and even with the shipping cost it was still the cheapest option I found to get a single connector. It took about 8 days to receive it on the east coast it is mailed via USPS from CA I think.

Battery Indicator - Solar Panel or Golf Cart 12/24 volt

Battery Indicator - Solar Panel or Golf Cart 12/24 volt
  • ONLY ONE LED lights at a time. Battery Condition Indicator -Solar System, Forklift, Golf Cart or other 12 or 24 volt DC battery powered equipment.
  • Must be connected during charging cycle
  • Displays Green LED when battery is in usable charge state
  • Warns when 20% of charge is left - Indicator displays Yellow
  • Red/Yellow flashing LED at 10% remaining charge

Bought this meter to monitor a deep cycle battery in a camper. It was easy to wire correct polarity unlike a previous one that I ordered and returned to Amazon. The green light indicator is easy to read at a distance and is very accurate. It is good to have some electronic equipment that is well made and works properly.

Easy to wire and it worked flawlessly for 2 weeks. It stopped giving an accurate reading for unknown reasons..Product is way overpriced for the shortlived performance . I was surprised when I received the indicator and saw how tiny it was. Hooked it up with a toggle switch that I purchased separately and it worked fine for a short while..I thought that my battery (a $650.00, 250ah, 12 volt agm solar batt) was faulty. Ran checks on my other batteries and got the same results and so concluded that the purchased indicator was faulty..Don't buy the product.

The indicator has four connection points. They are marked + negative and C ignore the blank one. As the instructions state. Attach pos to pos and neg to neg. directly onto the battery. Then attach C to the positive connection on your accessory or whatever you're running.

Wasnt hard to wire up and saves the guessing out of how much life is left in the trolling motor battery

Like everyone else, I hate Apple's not including an AC adapter with the iPod and then charging $30 to get one. And, like many here, I was hesitant to buy a $3 charger since it might ruin my $250 nano. But it isn't a $3 charger. It's more like a $6-10 charger when you add in the "shipping" -roughly $7.50 for one and $10.50 for two, which is really shipping, handling and profit. Even at those prices, it's much better than Apple and I like the design even better (roughly half the size and one third the weight. Given the small power output, that shouldn't be a problem and is better when traveling. Apple's adapter is almost as big as the one for my iBook and that uses many times the power of an iPod charger.

Someone expressed concern about the lack of a "charge completed" indicator, but I don't see how that could happen. To my knowledge, a USB port (which this charger replicates so far as charging is concerned) does not know when anything connected to it is done charging (or even if it is charging vs. operating) so all the charge control would seem to have to be in the iPod, not the charger.

I gave this product four stars instead of five only because of the company's misleading shipping charge. Paradoxically, they might sell more if they charged the true price and a more reasonable shipping charge since a lot of people are likely to be scared away by a ridiculously low price, out of fear they will damage their iPod. I wish Amazon would require its affiliated sellers to adhere to a reasonable shipping cost policy. Amazon's charging reasonable shipping is a big reason I tend to come to their site, but situations like this are making me look elsewhere more.

I've bought three of these on separate occasions one for me and two as gifts. Each arrived very fast by mail and all work perfectly. The charger is very small and has a built-in folding plug. Arkon GPS032 Handlebar Mount for 3.5 - 4.3-Inch GPS Devices

Arkon GPS032 Handlebar Mount for 3.5 - 4.3-Inch GPS Devices
  • Easy to Install
  • Water resistant case fits GPS or Touch screen smartphone
  • Fits Bicycle and Motorcycle size handlebars up to 33mm in diameter
  • Compatible with most straight, drop, trekking, and touring size handlebars
  • Water resistant case fits GPS or Touch screen smartphone

I purchased this case for the sole use on my motorcycle (2000 Honda Magna). It fits great on the bike and is somewhat adjustable, it's not rock solid tight so I can move the entire unit to minimize the sun glare, the case itself is also adjustable! I had to add my own foam so the GPS screen would be flush with plastic case screen which I made out of some foam shipping material and cut using one of the supplied foam pieces as a template. My Magellan 1424 GPS power cord connects on the bottom of the unit which causes a very tight fit on the zipper, it is a 4.3 screen and doesn't fit flush in the viewing area as shown in the product picture; the one in the picture probably does not have the power cord connected or it connects at the back of the unit. It is harder to see during daylight hours through the screen because of glare but not unusable, I have no tried it at night. I also doubt I'll ever test the waterproof feature of the case but it is a solid unit and I'm confident it would keep water out! The case is very easy to remove from the bracket and take with you when away from the motorcycle. My GPS has voice commands and are not easily heard while riding; I've yet to figure how to mount a microphone in the case so I could hear the commands, not a big deal. Other than the plastic screen making it difficult to see minute details, I would recommend this case, very good quality product.

Buy Arkon GPS032 Handlebar Mount for 3.5 - 4.3-Inch GPS Devices Now

I purchased this "Waterproof" hard case to house my cell phone for an upcoming motorcycle trip. Upon its arrival, I looked it over and it didn't seem so waterproof to me. Firstly, the hole on the bottom is a rather large slit that doesn't seal tight around the cable. Secondly, the plastic window looks to be stitched in from the inside of the case with no glue around the edges, which could allow water to seep in. Thirdly, There is no seal or flap around the zipper to keep water out. A quick rinse under the faucet proved my suspicions. This thing leaks like Niagara Falls with water coming in through the zipper and seams. To me, when a product is advertised as "Waterproof", you should be able to hold it under water at some depth for some time and not have any leakage. We can get caught in some massive downpours here in Florida after-all. On Amazon, it is advertised as "Waterproof", but the included instructions say "Water Resistant". This is a blatant misrepresentation of it capabilities.

Other issues: The advertised size is 8x6x4 inches. My case measures 6x4x2 inches even though the model number matches the advertised one. The advertisement says it comes with 3 pieces of foam to customize the fit for your phone. Mine came with one hard thick piece of rubbery material that is not very customizable. The hole for the cable mentioned earlier is located at the bottom center of the case if using it horizontally. This isn't very conducive for cell phones that are normally used in a vertical fashion. Most cell phones have their connectors at the top or bottom when holding them vertically straight up and down. I simply don't have enough room to bend my cable around to make it to the hole with the way the connector sticks out from the bottom of the phone (see my size comments above).

Overall, I have never seen any product so misrepresented on Amazon such as this one. I am extremely disappointed.

All around good product,

PROS: mounts easy, houses my Garmin nuvi snug (comes with foam pads of different thickness'that you remove for the right fit)

I use a big windshield and in a heavy rain the Nuvi has yet to get wet inside the case.

My Nuvi does not have a plug in for an ear piece so I dont hear the turn warnings but that is not the fault of the mount.

CONS: The only con for this mount is that you cant see the screen very well in direct sunlight.

(I jury rigged a viser for it, it helps somewhat.

Want Arkon GPS032 Handlebar Mount for 3.5 - 4.3-Inch GPS Devices Discount?

When my wife and I were planning a 2 month motorcycle trip this year, I thought about buying a motorcycle GPS but considered the price ($500-$600) ridiculous. When I saw the Amazon listing for the Akron GPS032 Handlebar Mount for 3.5-4.3 inch GPS Devices it seemed like just what I was looking for. The mount installed easily on my Harley (Springer Softail) and I later found out it also fit and installed easily on the much larger diameter handlebars of my wife's HD Fatboy. I also purchased the Battery Tender female cigarette lighter type connecter which plugged conveniently into the Battery Tender pigtail that was already mounted on my bike.

I just placed my inexpensive GPS into the case, turned it on and then zipped it up, using the touch screen through the clear plastic front to put in my destinations. Anytime I was concerned somebody might steal the GPS off the bike at night, it was a snap to unzip the case and take out the GPS and to reinstall it in the morning. I am happy to report that after 58 days, 20 states plus Alberta, Canada, old route 66 from end to end, rain, sleet, a little snow and 9,566 miles, the mount stayed firmly attached (did not move due to vibration or bumps from the road), the GPS stayed dry and nothing on the mount cracked or broke. The GPS itself was sometimes hard to read because of the sun shining on it but that had nothing to do with the mount and I could usually cup my hand in such a way that I could read the GPS. I don't usually write reviews but I thought this well made, inexpensive product deserved one and the review may be of some value to fellow bikers.

Good CaseI used it with a Garmin Nuvi 265 and then a 1300 on my Motorcycle. Rotary adjustment is good (~20 degrees in all directions). It seals up well too. Touchscreen operations are affected some by the clear plastic cover, but not bad. good price too.
