This cradle serves the exact purpose I wanted. A stand up charger for my HTC 7 Surround phone. I've searched throughout the internet and was unable to find any other cradle/charger options.The sync cable works great with no issues so far.
The only downside is the brightness of the LED power indicator. It nearly lights up my bedroom at night. It took a couple of days to get used to that.
