I love my sports cars. But I love my electronics too. This may have only two (2) outlets but one is for USB charging and one for AC power for the wall plug chargers. Folds down to allow placement in the storage between two bucket seats. Slim looking and just what you need for the phone, computer, shaver, tablet, I (whatever) and etc. Another Handyman tool recommendation that men and women and teens will love.

This thing definitely makes noise. It sounds like it's about to take off after you start the car. Once you get driving and have the music on you don't hear it but if you're looking to use it while driving at lower speeds with no other background noises this thing will drive you nuts. Mine pops out every time I hit any sort of small bump or patch on the road but I think it may be that individual outlet of my car since I've had issues with other plugs too.

Purchased this product to have handy in the car just in case. Took it to Florida with us when we drove to charge up the laptop and it works fine. Actually used it during "Sandy" to charge up the laptop and cell phones when the power in our house was out for several days. The USB insert is a nice surprise since I was able to charge my Kindle on it too. It is a bit bulky and you can hear the fan whirling, but its not obnoxiously loud and if you have your radio on you don't even notice it.

This product is perfect for the price....is very bright at night, but not so much during the day but anybody that has ever run lights like this know that unless your spending hundreds of dollars on say whelen your never going to get that. But regardless it still moves traffic and that's all that matters. They are super tiny maybe 1.5 inches per 3 led's and very easy to break but not too hard to mount with a little thinking having to be done on your part because the brackets that they come on only make sense n some cars / trucks. This order is my 2nd one for the rear of my car so it tells you that they are good.

Great lights, not the brightest during the day or in direct sunlight but for the cheap price they are great. The controller box's do not have memory. So I had to solder a resistor onto the pattern I wanted so its constant when turned on. Other then that the lights are a great bang for the buck.

I got it for my 5" Garmin nuvi 50LM GPS. It's over sized by half an inch in each direction. The sides are stiff, so it offers good protection from bending or puncturing. I would prefer something that's a better fit so it takes up less space in my car's center arm rest console. I'm not sure why it comes with the carabiner clip.

Like so many others, our 2004 motorhome came equipped with the "dumb" (set voltage) charging program built into their standard converter, which provides 12-volt DC current to the coach when plugged into shore power as well as charging for the house battery bank.

When I had to replace the house batteries recently I decided to go for Trojan T-105's, and wanted to provide a better charging profile to help them work better and last longer. Our camping experience to-date had not supported a need for an inverter (which typically come with an advanced multi-stage charging program), so I was curious about an alternative to just buying a new "smart" charger.

Progressive Dynamics offers this line of "Wizard" plug-ins as an after-market application to enhance the charging capability of their popular converters (why, for such a relatively small expense they don't just make it part of the OEM package, I have no idea...I guess the RV builders just prefer to trim the few extra bucks from their building costs). Plugging it into a port in the converter changes it from a single stage charger to a three stage, with a "float" mode and a "boost" and "desulfation" mode (the last kicks in for 15 minutes every 21 hours).

The charging profile does not exactly match Trojan's recommendations, but it's a lot closer than the stock converter. Hook-up is plug-and-play, but the plug is fairly large, so, like in my case, because I wanted to mount the Wizard inside the coach, I had to cut the plug off and then splice it back on to prevent having to drill overly large holes in my cabinetry (and the cord is only about 36" long). But with the device inside, I can monitor the tell-tale diode that blinks at different rates to let you know which mode the charger is using, and if I feel I need to manually change to a different charge rate, I can do that with the button on the face of the Wizard.

Again, not perfect, but a pretty convenient (albeit compromise) solution for a little bit of cost.

As a footnote, over the winter I left the motorhome at a campsite in Florida, where it sat plugged in but unattended for a couple of periods of 3 and 4 weeks at a stretch, and when I got back the batteries were fully charged and had not lost a measurable amount of water. That's not too bad, in my opinion.

This thing should be standard equipment! After losing too many deep cycle batteries in my RV and looking at replacing my charger, I saw that this was available as an add-on. This works great, I don't know why it wasn't standard equipment all along. Now my batteries go into a float mode on the built in charger. Maps have some points of interest,some businesses and restaurant in my neighborhood and I am just 6 miles from DC. No police station info for the incorporated area I have lived in for 4 years. The back-up camera is nice,the antennae attached to charger sits low and looses signal easily but is mostly reliable. NO, I would not want you to spend your money on this product unless PEAK issues a patch for updates of maps-I have treid 4 times and not much help with the PEAK techs leaving me rudderless about map upgrades.

System was easy to install with good directions. The only problem is I get a little interference when in the backup mode, I am not sure if it is the unit or the position where I mounted it. Overall well worth the money and is definitly cheaper than buying seperate units.Nice to have both gps and backup camera in one unit.

I use this 12v charger with my Goal Zero Sherpa 120 battery Goal Zero 11102 Sherpa 120 Battery and it works great. I really like the chemistry of that battery, how well it holds the charge and how many cycles it supports. When I charge from the solar panels it can take considerable time and often on camping trips we end up moving from site to site and thus end up in the car for a limited time. Using this 12v charger I can get the right voltage to top off the battery and set us up for a few more days.

The 12v adapter charger is designed to get the voltage up to where it's needed to enable a full charge in the battery. We are very happy to have this as an option. The battery comes with the 120 AC charger, we use the solar panels Goal Zero 12201 Nomad 27M Solar Panel when off the grid, and then this 12v adapter/charger when mobile. Bluetooth Handsfree In-car Visor Kit for All Samsung Phones

I bought this mostly for work. I drive around as a service tech and get calls on the road quite a bit. Considering I have two phones, one bussiness and one personal, this works great because I can sync both phones to it!! It states to have an 8 hour talk time which works great for a busy day or lenghty call while on the road. So for 24 buck this is perfect! The speaker is loud enough to hear, and I have no problems people hearing me on the other end. The only negative I can think of is that the connection for charging isn't the mirco USB my phones and most things are. Its slightly larger, but the end that plugs into the 12v outlet does detach for a standard USB, so it can plug right in with the dual charger I use. I love it for what I need!!!

After buying a Rocketfish car charger at Best Buy for my Samsung Epic 4G phone and learning the charger didn't deliver enough current (600ma) to trigger a change in the battery status to a charging mode, I returned that $22 charger and bought this one on the hopes it would work. Well, same issue...it didn't. There are no markings on the charger to indicate it's current rating, and I think one rated at least 750ma (same as the a/c indoor charger) is needed. I've been using a single USB port/car charger plug rated at 1A with USB/microUSB cable and that has worked fine with the Samsung Epic 4G, but I liked the idea of this retractable cord style of charger. Too bad it's useless. The cord was a bit short for my preferred way of using it in the car with a glove box power socket, but it was usable.

I love this car charger. It is retractable and I love it. My old car charger was broken due to someone stepping on the cord. This one I do not have to worry about that. Also the cord stretches long enough to charge someone's phone in the backseat. Great purchase!!

the service was great, however, the product leaves a lot to be desired. supposedly, there is a retractable cord. The first one that arrived, the cord did not retract; notified the company and they sent a new one. The cord on the second one did not retract. So, I just use the car charger with the cord hanging down...it works fine. The company was very good about replacing the original.

New Potato Technologies TuneLink Auto Bluetooth in Car Stereo Wireless Adapter for Android (Black)

This is a great product and worked out of the box. I tried it with a Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket and an Asus Transformer prime. We have Apple and Droid devices in our family, but I found that I could not pair an Apple iTouch with this device. On contacting New Potato support, I was told:

"If you want to use TuneLink for both Android and Apple devices, you need to be using the Apple version of TuneLink. From a hardware standpoint, these 2 are virtually identical, but the Android version is missing some parts that allow it to communicate with Apple devices."

So now I have to return this and buy the other version which is annoying.

Hopefully this will help others choose the correct version.

I have used TuneLink Android with both the AUX out and the FM Transmitter, and I think both sound excellent. The AUX obviously is more clear and the way to go if you have an input in your car, but the FM is great as well. In response to the other reviews on here that talk about a "lisp" sound or distorted "S" sounds, all you have to do if this is happening is turn the phone's volume down a few clicks. The FM volume is a bit boosted when the phone is turned all the way up, and for loud material, I noticed the same thing until I turned it down. The little boost is great though when listening to audiobooks or spoken word that is quiter though...

All in all, great product!

I read reviews before purchasing this unit and they indicated this is the best quality FM transmitter to produce almost broadcast quality sound. I did not find that to be the case. I have returned it. I'm also surprised by the written return policy of the vendor. It states a refund will be subject to fees if the product is not returned unopened. How the blazes can you know if it works properly and is worth the money, unless you do open and try it? It was the most expensive unit of the ones I was considering, so I expected it to be at least satisfactory in sound quality, but it wasn't. It produced a static "lisp" type of sound on all high frequency sounds such as a cymbal strike or anything with an "S" sound in a word.

Update. Even though my package was returned and it was obviously opened, since I returned it for reasons of dissatisfaction, I did get a full refund.

I really, really want to like this device. And when it works, it's fantastic. I use the line-out (not the FM transmitter) and the sound quality is great.

But that's only part of the story. I've been through three of these since I bought mine. The first two had a thermal issue that would cause them to stop working, which is a problem considering this thing is going to sit outside in your car. New Potato did replace them, but it cost me about $10 to ship it back every time.

The real problem, though, is that for some reason my Galaxy Nexus and this thing don't play nice. They will connect every time, but eventually the A2DP will break down and the audio won't work. Sometimes it's enough to unplug the Tunelink and plug it back in, sometimes I have to turn Bluetooth off and back on on the phone, and sometimes I have to do both. Then other times I have to unplug the Tunelink and turn the phone off and on. I have no idea who's fault it is, but it basically makes the device useless.

New Potato spent time helping me, but the last email I got from them was "hey, we have no idea. There's another guy with a Galaxy Nexus but he says it's fine". I was hoping the update to Android 4.0.4 would help, but it didn't.

Automatic Bluetooth connecting and Audio Quality...

The first pairing was simple and setup was done in less than 2 minutes. Note: Be sure that when you plug the receiver device in to the power adapter of your truck you make sure you pick one that that cycles the power with the key on/off. Turning the key on and giving it power is what tells it to start looking for the paired phone. In my Nissan this is in the Arm console. When I start the truck it powers the device, the device automatically looks for the phone and connects within 10 seconds all without any user input (VERY NICE!!!). When I turn off the truck it automatically pauses the MP3 playback. With the receiver device being in the arm console I was worried that I might have reception issues or audio quality loss. However being in the console I had no issues with the wireless connection or quality. Audio quality is as good as a direction wire connection. I use the AUX jack on my stereo to connect the receiver to my stereo. As such I did not test the FM transmitter.

Automatic Media Playback...

Using the latest version of their TuneLink app from the Google Playstore Market the app allows you to pick a default MP3 or Music playback program. If you install this app and pick a default music app the phone will still do all of the above Bluetooth connecting automatically, PLUS it will automatically start/resume playback of the last MP3 you were playing, right where you left off. For me this worked perfectly the first time. However after it resumed, my phone displayed an error that the TuneLink app has stopped working. After that crash the auto playback resume feature no longer worked without manual help from me. This could be that the app is not playing nicely with my Samsung Note II. The auto pause when turning the truck off works with or without the app on my phone.

Overview...

This product is exactly what I was looking for: Get in to my truck and have the phone automatically connect to the audio system. I am very pleased with this device and find it worth the few extra bucks you might pay over some similar devices that don't offer the automatic connect feature. NOTE: The above auto connect assumes you have bluetooth turned on, on your phone.

One final note...

This unit is NOT for people looking to create an option for Bluetooth hands-free phone conversations. Unlike some similar devices this product only supports media over Bluetooth. My truck already has a Bluetooth hands-free option for talking on the phone, so that is not something I need. If you already have hands-free in your car this device works perfectly in conjunction with you current hands-free and will even pause the music while you take a call through your cars hands-free system. But if hands-free phone calls is something that you are looking to get from this device, then you need to look for a different product such as the Belkin Bluetooth Truck Hands-Free Kit which offers both Media and Phone calls over Bluetooth but does not support the automatic connection like this device does.

I paid $5.38 I do believe for this product which includes shipping. good price since it also includes an awesome but cheap led light which could light my way. When plugging the charger into the cigarette lighter outlet in my car it turns off after I shut the vehicle off. Which is a good thing since that would keep it from running off the battery in any way, and when plugging it into the phone the cable doesn't jiggle back and forth like some of them do. You can't buy this product from virgin Mobile so might as well buy it from them. You would probably be paying less than what virgin Mobile charges. So go ahead and buy it from Benz. It's overall quality is great.

Product arrived quickly and seems to work just fine(my wife usues the phone ALOT) so am happy this car charger is issue free,will update after I have had it some time so I can honestly answer the longevity question,but at this time was little $$$$$ and works well.

Bosch 22612 12-Volt 1/2-Inch Impactor Cordless Impact Wrench Kit

I use this primarily when I swap my car's street tires for those I use on the track. It makes the job much quicker and easier than tightening and removing the nuts by hand. The battery charges very quickly (30 min) and, while I haven't had to use it for extended periods, it has thus far held a charge much longer than I need. It's reasonably light and well balanced.

It's not strong enough to loosen the nuts once they've been torqued down, but it would be unrealistic to expect that with a 12 volt. I use a breaker bar to loosen them just a tiny bit, then zip the nuts off, pop them back on after swapping wheels, and tighten down with a torque wrench. It literally cuts the time in half.

I have 2 friends with the 18 volt DeWalt, and this little 12 volt performs this task just as well for much less than half the price. I do like the double trigger forward/reverse of the DeWalt better than the slider switch the Bosch uses.

For the price, if you don't truly need the power afforded by an 18V, this is a great choice.

I purchased this product to use in my plumbing business to tighten couplings for an acid waste system. Using a ratchet and a open end wrench is just to slow for me and especially for my workers. It paid for itself in about the first half hour of work.

I wanted a lightweight impact to take to the track to help remove the wheels for quick changes to rain tires and brake work. It pulls the lug nuts off without delay. Much stronger than I thought! Since it is only 12 volt, I was worried about that. It also feels balanced since the 12 v battery is smaller than an 18 v. This thing rocks!

The Gomadic FM transmitter is a great idea. It allows you to use any music device (iPod, smart phone, MP-3 player) to transmit it's music over your car radio using the FM tuner. All you need to do is plug your device into it using the headphone jack, find a "quite" FM station, tune the device to that frequency, and listen. The audio quality is pretty good and the loudness is controllable by both the device and the car radio. They even offer several charging adapter cords for use with multiple devices.

Now for the bad. I have had two such units. The first, ordered to use with an Android phone for playing music in my Tahoe, simply fell apart after several months of use. The plastic case is of sub par quality and I reglued it several times. But the device simply stopped working one day and was never again usable. I also noticed that it imposed a high frequency "hum" over the radio when the charging cord was used. Unplug the charger and the hum stopped. A minor inconvenience.

Fast forward to my second unit, now ordered for an iPhone. This one seems to be holding up better, but the hum is still there. Apparently there is an unfiltered component in the charging circuit that is present in all units. This is a poor design and the results are very annoying.

So, overall, I give it three stars, as it is a great idea that works well, at times. But a little better manufacturing would have gotten it five stars!

This device works, however I don't think it has the best clarity. It reminds me of an old transistor radio that you had to move around to get static-less reception. It doesn't work well on bridges or in tunnels. The price is right though and much cheaper than buying a new car stereo.
