Premium Car Charger For Garmin GPS Nuvi 755T

Premium Car Charger For Garmin GPS Nuvi 755T
  • Brand new non-OEM
  • Vehicle Lighter Adaptor. (12~24v DC)
  • Intelligent IC chip inside recognizes a full battery and automatically switch to a saver
  • Plug never heats or overcharges the battery

This unit does NOT work for the Garmin Nuvi 755T GPS. Instead of the end that should plug into the holding frame of the GPS, the connecting plug only plugs into where you update map info. Very disappointing!!! After ordering a charging cable from another source and receiving the WRONG cable I bought a new GPS.

The Multi-Media Desktop Charger will charge your battery and conveniently display your phone.

The Multi-Media Desktop Charger will charge your battery and conveniently display your phone. The LG Ally I have is WOEFULLY short of battery life: it runs down in partial day increments. The only way to fight this is to have a docking station that allows you to keep the charge and use it. This does a good job, and, as a bonus, can attach to your computer to backup those files that everything accumulates and which are more pricey than any repacement phone: numbers, addresses, and notes. I have one for the car (I take long trips weekly, and navigation wears down the battery fast) and one for the office. Really think about getting two.

I bought this for my LG Ally so I could dock it while working on my computer, and have a nice place to update it. Unfortunately, its dimensions do not have any give to allow for a case for the phone. I have a soft/hard plastic case and with it, the phone is too big to use the docking station. I honestly have been meaning to use this docking station, but because of the inconvenience of having to take the cover off, I just haven't really used it.

Bottom line: works great with LG Ally without a cover.

Buy The Multi-Media Desktop Charger will charge your battery and conveniently display your phone. Now

Works well. I bought a second one for the office. Keeps my phone charged and use it for an alarm clock.

I bought this in order to put on my nightstand for charging my phone at night. IF I didn't have a cover on my phone it would have worked just fine BUT because I do it now won't fit. I'm not going to take the cover off every time I want to use the stand so it goes into the pile of this could have been a good idea. That is why I only gave it 4 stars. So many people these days do put covers on their phones and I think that should be taken into consideration by the manufacturer. They would have only had to make it just a bit bigger to accommodate the phone with a cover.

  • Great Substitute for Original Philips Charger.
  • Convenient 4 ft. Length
  • High Quality Branded Manufacturer fully Compatible with Philips Devices.

I paid a buck for this item and it does what it is supposed to do. The same type of charger at a big box store was priced at around $20 or so. It comes in a box from an unnamed manufacturer with no instruction sheet (none needed, of course).

Not much to say... this is a simple product. So far has worked just as advertised. I'm happy with my purchase and would use this company again in the future.

I paid less than $1 plus shipping for this charger for my Philips GoGear MP3 player. I tried it and it worked fine. Put it in the wall socket connected it to the MP3 player and went to bed. A small led red light lights up on the charger while charging. Next morning MP3 player fully charged.

Now I don't have to plug my MP3 player into my laptop for the MP3 player to be charged.I take the charger to work. If the MP3 player charge getting low I just plug the charger and the MP3 player in.

At the big box stores a separate charger for a MP3 player usually cost from $10 to $20. It was great getting a charger for less than $4 ( includes shipping) with no tax. How can you beat it? Totally happy with this home wall travel AC charger. 5 stars.

A GOOD UNIT FOR A GREAT PRICE! A LISTING OF OTHER UNITS THAT COULD USE THIS ITEM WOULD BE HELPFUL.

Retractable Car Charger for Motorola Brute i680

Retractable Car Charger for Motorola Brute i680The retractable feature is nice and convenient but the cord is flimsy, especially where it joins at the connector. Mine is nearly broken off. My suggestion to get longer life out of it, is to pull the connector (carefully and slowly) out by holding the cord. Don't pull it out by holding the connector as I did for little while. It will start to break at that area. There is a red power light to let you know it is plugged in to the receptacle. It stays on all the time. Item works but was designed with planned obsolescence in mind. I wish the cord was a heavier gauge. It looks like 22 gauge wire, too thin to be pulling on all the time. I am rating this 4 star because I've had my charger for 2 years and 8 months and it is still working but near the end of its life. You can lengthen the life by following my suggestion.

Nice unit; works as advertised. Seems a little insubstantial I would have made the retractable just a bit heftier and a bit longer but so far, it is working just as expected.

  • Gomadic Wall Charger is built to support worldwide voltage input levels ranging from 100-240vAC /50-60 Hz. High output 10W /2A transformer provides output voltage and resistor configuration specific to the iRiver Clix.
  • Gomadic TipExchange Technology protects your investment by allowing you to change/upgrade either charger by simply swapping the physical charging tip. (Charging tips for iRiver Clix included with additional tips sold separately).
  • Specification: Wall Charger: Dimensions: (2.0" X 1.75"), Cable Length: (50"), Power Input: (110-240vAC), Output Power: (iRiver Clix Specific); Car Charger; Dimensions: (1.75" X 0.5"), Cable Length: (42"), Power Input: (12-24vDC); Output Power: (iRiver Clix Specific).
  • The Gomadic "Power Sleep" feature limits power consumption when chargers are not in use. Both car and wall chargers will draw less than 0.1W of power when in "ready state" (e.g. not connected to the iRiver Clix).

I got the version of this product for my iriver clix2. They worked great. Then it turned out the iriver clix2 was incompatible with the Windows version I had (XP Home Ed 2002 sp2). Bummer. When I called Gomadic to see if this charger would work with my new MP3, the man worked with me to figure out what I needed (kindly explaining AT MY LEVEL), THEN said he would send me the needed conversion tips FREE (AND the product was even past the warranty period). To me, "it don't get any better than this".

Buy The Essential Gomadic Car and Wall Accessory Kit for the iRiver Clix - 12v DC Car and AC Wall Charg Now

I ordered these chargers and then when I got my Clix 2 I realized that I had ordered the wrong chargers. I contacted Gomadic expecting that I would have to pay to ship back the chargers if I wanted an exchange, or buy the correct tips for my Clix 2 to use with the chargers I had bought. To my surprise, their friendly customer service offered to send me the tips I needed at no charge to me at all. I didn't even have to return the Clix 1 tips. The new tips arrived in a few days. I haven't had a chance to use the chargers yet, but the package mentions a lifetime warranty and I believe that if I had any problems at all Gomadic would respond in a responsible way. Even before I use the chargers, I would definitely recommend Gomadic products to anyone based on my experience.

WOUXUN KG-UVD1P 136-174 / 400-470MHz Radio Handheld Transceiver

WOUXUN KG-UVD1P 136-174 / 400-470MHz Radio Handheld TransceiverThe Wouxun KG-UVD1P is a great radio. The Wouxun instruction manual is awful! Fortunately several people have gone online with instructions in English on how to operate the radio. The best advice for programming the radio is to buy the programming cable and programming software from "Main Place Company".

If this is your first radio then you must get your FCC license before you can transmit, but this is easy.

Go to eham.net for the study guide and practice exams. Take a few practice exams and then take the test.

Was initially very pleased. Rugged. Feels well in the hand. Excellent base. Funky keyboard layout. Overall, appeared to be an excellent product for the cost.

However, the UHF receive drops about 2 seconds into the transmission. Highly annoying, especially with scanning. I have not heard of other people having the problem, so likely just the one I got. Will be exchanging.

Want WOUXUN KG-UVD1P 136-174 / 400-470MHz Radio Handheld Transceiver Discount?

I purchased one of these from another vendor for about $130 shipped. I have used it for several months, including the collar mic, surveillance kits, multiple antennas, both as an amateur radio operator and in public safety. It works fine with good audio quality, but there are a few issues:

The radio's scan feature is crippled. If the radio is in scan, and you press the button to turn on the backlight, it stops scanning. If you press the button to turn on the LED, it stops scanning. If you try to lock the keypad, it stops scanning. If you want to change which channels are included in the scan, you have to reprogram it from a computer. You can't even use the dual VFO feature while in scan mode even though the second channel is still shown on the screen, it is never checked.

The radio itself has developed a problem. Under certain circumstances which aren't entirely clear, it will occasionally completely reset itself. I suspect this is due to a power connection issue inside the radio, but for something this cheap I'm not surprised. I'm probably going to replace it and use the broken one as a base station radio.

The belt clip, where it connects to the battery, is too tight. It takes serious effort to remove the belt clip. Which would be fine, except that it's also weak. The piece that actually fits in to the battery has broken on me, necessitating a replacement. In fact, all of the plastic pieces here are of significantly poorer quality than what you would get with, say, a Motorola.

I have used the longer antenna. It's too long to use in the field, but as a base antenna it works fine and does improve quality. While we're talking about antennas, on my original antenna the plastic piece has chipped, resulting in the actual antenna coming out of it at an angle. It still works, but yet another example of poor materials. The replacement antenna, the end cap fell off and got lost, so I had to cover it with gaffer's tape.

The surveillance earpiece works fine. The surveillance microphone does not. I am told that it results in a 'muffled' sound which is barely readable. The collar mic works fine.

Bosch 22612 12-Volt 1/2-Inch Impactor Cordless Impact Wrench Kit

Bosch 22612 12-Volt 1/2-Inch Impactor Cordless Impact Wrench KitI use this primarily when I swap my car's street tires for those I use on the track. It makes the job much quicker and easier than tightening and removing the nuts by hand. The battery charges very quickly (30 min) and, while I haven't had to use it for extended periods, it has thus far held a charge much longer than I need. It's reasonably light and well balanced.

It's not strong enough to loosen the nuts once they've been torqued down, but it would be unrealistic to expect that with a 12 volt. I use a breaker bar to loosen them just a tiny bit, then zip the nuts off, pop them back on after swapping wheels, and tighten down with a torque wrench. It literally cuts the time in half.

I have 2 friends with the 18 volt DeWalt, and this little 12 volt performs this task just as well for much less than half the price. I do like the double trigger forward/reverse of the DeWalt better than the slider switch the Bosch uses.

For the price, if you don't truly need the power afforded by an 18V, this is a great choice.

I purchased this product to use in my plumbing business to tighten couplings for an acid waste system. Using a ratchet and a open end wrench is just to slow for me and especially for my workers. It paid for itself in about the first half hour of work.

It is not the most powerful one I own but it is good and the battery warranty is 3 years which is real good.

I wanted a lightweight impact to take to the track to help remove the wheels for quick changes to rain tires and brake work. It pulls the lug nuts off without delay. Much stronger than I thought! Since it is only 12 volt, I was worried about that. It also feels balanced since the 12 v battery is smaller than an 18 v. This thing rocks!

Retractable Car Charger (CLA) for HTC myTouch 4G

Retractable Car Charger for HTC myTouch 4GI bought two of these thinking I would use leave one in my girlfriend's car and the other one in my car so we would always have our cell phones charged. Well, the one in my car worked for about two days and then the red light on the charger started blinking and then it stopped charging all together. I tried another cigarette socket and got the same results. The retractable cord worked for this one.

I asked her if she needed hers and she told me it doesn't charge. I got hers and tried it in both of our cars and again the red light was blinking on the charger and it would not charge either of our phones. The retractable cord on hers would not retract back into the unit.

I have a myTouch 4G and she has a blackberry. I would recommend buying a different charger.

Giving average star (3).

-quality is not bad, but is not good either. the usb head is loose and had to assist the retractable

-realized this is not a rapid charger. so you have to stay in the car for a while to walk away with more juice.

SunGuard SG-4 4.5 amp 12 volt Solar Charge Controller Regulator by Morningstar

SunGuard SG-4 4.5 amp 12 volt Solar Charge Controller Regulator by MorningstarI installed the SG-4 with a 50 watt solar panel on a motor home. This setup replaces a non-functional 7-watt panel that was supposed to keep the coach batteries charged. The controller is mounted behind the coach monitor panel and I connected it to the original solar charge wiring, which made the installation pretty easy. It is pretty much install and forget and it has worked perfectly for 2 years. The system has kept the two 6 volt house batteries and a 12 volt chassis battery fully charged while the RV has been in winter storage as long as two months unattended. It works as advertised and keeps the batteries healthy. It has internal circuitry (diodes I suppose) that keep the batteries from discharging back through the panels at night. Since it is only rated to 4.5 amps, you would not be able to use much more than 50 watts of panels with this controller. That means it is not suitable where you have to have a lot of energy to recharge batteries quickly. But for charge maintenance, this is perfect.

Received the item fast. Unfortunately it didn't work. We went to the Mfg website and looked at all the help files, followed all of their recommended procedures, and test procedures and nothing helped, it's just dead. My husband has a background in electrical, so he knows what he's doing. Returning it and ordering a different brand of controller. Hope that one works! SunGuard SG-4 4.5 amp 12 volt Solar Charge Controller Regulator by Morningstar

Returned the defective controller 2 months ago and am STILL waiting for my refund! Won't buy from this seller ever again. Just filed a claim with Amazon, maybe they can get me my money back.

Buy SunGuard SG-4 4.5 amp 12 volt Solar Charge Controller Regulator by Morningstar Now

I recently purchased this item to go with the Harbor Freight 45 Watt SunPanel kit as their controller leaves a lot to be desired. This unit is the ideal controller for this kit if you want your battery to be regulated properly.

Read Best Reviews of SunGuard SG-4 4.5 amp 12 volt Solar Charge Controller Regulator by Morningstar Here

I've had mine for over a year and it's just perfect for what it is. Vastly better charging than the dumb threshold on/off units. Temperature compensation is excellent. Albeit not MPPT, it really gets your batteries charged to their peak charge by floating the proper temperature-compensated voltage/amps to them. I.e., cold mornings you'll see like 14.6v, hot summer afternoons 14.2-ish.

How it works: When your battery needs charging, it directly connects your solar panel to your battery, so your solar panel voltage drops to battery voltage (below optimal, which is why MPPT is better). As the battery is charged, the voltage climbs to meet the target (say, 14.4v), it starts pulsing the current very rapidly to the battery to give it just the right amperage it needs to hold the target voltage. You'll see the solar panel voltage rise above battery voltage as this starts to happen. The target voltage is held and over time, the amperage taken from the panel decreases. Cool.

My application is my first dip into solar to maintain two big batteries in my Dodge diesel pickup that isn't driven often and is not located near an outlet. And when it is driven, the system only puts out 14.0 volts, not 14.4 like many other cars do, so while batteries certainly get a charge while driving, short drives can't replace all the energy taken on start-up. Compare that to say my 2008 GM which puts out 14.7v for the first 15 mins or so, then 14.4.

Even in the short winter days, a 10 watt panel is overkill, probably could have gotten by with a 5 watt panel. Again, my use is not "charging", it's "maintaining." I agree a 50W panel is about the max you can use on this, which is rated to be 4.5A at 12v (54 watts), or ~3.8A at 14V. That's still a pretty good charging rate for a single battery in applications where it is discharged.

I might put the solar panel in the interior (factory tint side windows block quite a bit) and see how it goes. Then again, I might bring the batteries to the basement for the winter and treat them to weeks of desulfating from my BatteryMinders.

I use a "Watts Up" on the solar side and battery side to monitor Whr, amps, volts, etc and a voltmeter on the batteries. Neat stuff!

Want SunGuard SG-4 4.5 amp 12 volt Solar Charge Controller Regulator by Morningstar Discount?

I bought this to replace a cheap controller that I use with a 15watt solar panel to keep a Jeep battery charged. The cheap controller just switched on and off and didn't have PMW to 3-stage charge the battery.

The good

It is ruggedly built with heavy duty wire in and out. It's in a heavy duty plastic shell that's filled with "potting compound" to make it water proof. The 4 wires come out through the potting compound. (They do warn you to install it so water doesn't collect in the open end of the shell.)

I hooked up a voltmeter and it's not contstantly turning on and off like the prior one. Now I'm getting a steady (in the short term) voltage based on the battery's state of charge.

The bad

There aren't any LEDs. You can't tell if it's working without a voltmeter and then you can only see one measurement at a time. (Volts in, volts out.)

There are cautions all over the instructions about not shorting out the solar power leads or it will ruin the controller. If you'll frequently be connecting/disconnecting the solar panels, install a short proof automotive connector that also prevents you from reversing the polarity.

Rearview Mirror DVR with Dual Swivel car Camera video recorder with 3.5'' LCD screen DVR35C2

Rearview Mirror DVR with Dual Swivel car Camera video recorder with 3.5'' LCD screen DVR35C2
  • How do you prove to the traffic police what really happened, in case a road accident occurs? No lawyer can help you more effectively than an in-car DVR does. And no DVR is more useful than this one.
  • Combining a Rearview Mirror with a powerful DVR, this product allows you to get a glimpse of what's behind you, and records the road situations both inside and outside the car, at the same time. The two cameras are both 180 degree rotatable so you can record at the best angle you want. You can also switch between single or dual camera display/record. Better yet, the two cameras even come with nightvision for you to record videos at night!
  • Installing this Rearview Mirror DVR couldn't be simpler, as it is designed to easily clip onto your pre-installed rear view mirror. It will start recording from the moment the device is turned on. You can record in two Different Modes, normal continuous recording, or cycled recording for saving data space. With this great little gadget, now everyone from general drivers, police officers, journalists, detectives, lawyers, taxi drivers can have the evidence they need that will hold up in court.

The description for this item says it can handle SD cards up to 32GB and so I was was expecting a product with plenty of recording capacity.

Well it turns out that what you actually get is something can only record up to a maximum of 5 minutes at which point it starts recording again over writing the previous recording.

Now you have an additional source of stress at an incident did my camera capture the incident and is it just about to to delete the recording?

Whilst most incidents are over in just seconds it is entirely unreasonable to market a product that has such a short recording time with no option to save old recordings in the unit itself. If it was making 5 minutes recordings until the card was full that would be OK but as it stands although you can use a 32GB card you can only ever make about about 0.5GB worth of recordings. In the heat of the moment would any of us be sufficiently alert enough to immediately check the camera and press stop before it hits the 5 minute mark or would we be focusing on the more important aspects of any incident?

Customer support were polite but failed to come back with any reply to these concerns even though I asked on 2 separate occasions and they promised to look into it.

I was going to get one of these for my partner but will now be looking elsewhere.

Sena SMH10-10 Motorcycle Bluetooth Headset/Intercom

Sena SMH10-10 Motorcycle Bluetooth Headset/IntercomI installed the unit today and then took a ride on the expressway. I easily installed the unit in my new helmet and then paired it to my phone. I've tried several helmet speaker methods such as having regular phone earbuds in my ear. That works OK but the problem is keeping earbuds in my ear when I put the helmet on and the mic positioned near my mouth. At highway speeds the wind noise makes it difficult or impossible for the other party to hear. I tried a dedicated wired motorcycle helmet headset but the volume was too low to hear clearly at highway speeds and it was a hassle connecting the dangling wire from the helmet each time I got on and off the bike. Thus my purchase of the Sena bluetooth unit. I read many reviews of other units. Most had volume complaints or were double the price.

The volume on this unit is simply amazing!!! At 70 MPH on a phone call I can hear the other party very clear and loud. Believe it or not it actually hurt my ears and I had to turn the unit down. The same is true of music. How is the music quality? Good enough. It's not five star orchestra quality and there's not much bass but it sounds good and most importantly LOUD rolling along on a bike. The amp in the bluetooth unit actually drives the speakers to the edge of distortion but that's a good thing.

I believe one key is to make absolutely sure that you use the included pads to position the speakers where they press right up against your ear when you put the helmet on. Proximity probably makes a huge difference in sound volume. 1/4 to 1/2 inch away would probably reduce the volume in half which would make the system much less effective.

I have a Motorola Razr Maxx phone and the volume button on the unit does not affect the phone volume. Most bluetooth units work in conjunction with the phone volume. If you lower or raise the volume on the bluetooth unit, it correspondingly raises or lowers it on the phone. With this unit, volume controls seem to operate independently of each other therefore you need to turn the phone volume to max and adjust volume from the bluetooth unit. The unit is firmware upgradeable so perhaps that will be corrected in a future release but I am so thrilled with the performance of the unit that such a minor detail is insignificant.

There is a plus to this arrangement in that music playback and phone conversation volumes are independently maintained. In other words, if you set the volume on a phone conversation and then switch to music and set a different volume the unit will remember the phone and music volume independently. So I guess it's designed to work independently of your phone volume and as I thought about it, that's probably a better arrangement. Your helmet system would always be set to motorcycle preferences regardless of what level you set your phone.

I haven't tested the intercom features and performance. My wife is terrified of my motorcycle therefore I usually ride alone so I don't need the intercom feature but it's there if I ever do need it.

Pros:

1. Volume is FANTASTIC and you can hear phone conversations or music clearly at 80% volume at 70mph.

2. The person on the other end hears virtually no mic wind noise at 70mph. They couldn't believe that I was on a motorcycle at 70mph. They heard NO wind noise which was hard for me to believe but I was talking to my mother so I knew she was telling me the truth. Of course I had on a full face helmet with the visor down.

3. Unit can operate while charging. The battery life talk time is rated at 12 hours with a standby time of 10 days. I haven't tested that yet but if it truly lasts 12 hours and you do happen to talk longer than 12 hours at a stretch you can plug up the unit and talk while charging. I've never ridden more than a few hours in a day so a 12 hour talk time before recharging is NOT going to be problem for me. I'm going to poop out long before the bluetooth battery. Talking while charging is something that most bluetooth units can't do.

4. Volume control button is big. On a motorcycle with gloves the button is easy to find, turn or push.

5. It looks cool on your helmet with the blue blinking light.

6. Good price. I bought the H10 instead of the H5 since the price difference was not that much and it appears the H10 comes with better speakers. I'm not sure about that as I couldn't fully tell from the descriptions but it read like the H10 had better speakers than the H5. The upgrade speakers cost the difference between the two units but the H10 does more. It's about a $25 street price difference between the H10 and the H5.

7. Uses a standard micro USB port for charging.

8. Has a standard 1/8" port to plug a wired music player.

9. Ports covered by rubber plugs for weatherproofing.

10. Easy to remove from the helmet if necessary.

Cons: NONE that I've found so far.

I installed it in this helmet:Bluetooth Ready Modular Flip-up Motorcycle Helmet Matte Flat Black DOT #936 (XL)

I am just as impressed by the helmet as I am the bluetooth unit. I can't believe the quality of this helmet for the price. I've got five helmets. This is the cheapest one and it seems to rank right up there with the quality of the very expensive helmets if not better. It has perforations in the helmet liner for the speakers so it works perfectly with the Sena bluetooth unit.

The installation of the headset will definitely get you familiar with the inner workings of your helmet, but once done, it is indispensable. The jog wheel and phone button are easy to manipulate at speed with gloves on, and the controls make sense. The speakers are decent, obviously not as high-quality sound as ear buds, but the trade off of ease-of-use is worth it. I used all three functions, music, phone, and intercom the first time out. The intercom range is as advertised, unless there is a mountain between you and the other unit.

The only issue I have had is the amount of force required to snap the unit in and out of the base. This may vary depending on your helmet. A friend had the same unit and had trouble getting the unit to stay clipped in at all. I saw it go bouncing down the road at highway speed. We stopped and picked up the pieces and put it back together and it still worked, despite some road rash, but Sena sent him a whole new setup anyway.

I have used my Sena unit for almost 1 year now. It is a really good product. It was recently upgraded to firmware V4.1. The talk time is an honest 12 hours. I was recently on my bike for over 12 hours and we talked the entire ride. Its great to know what might be up ahead like a sharp curve, debris in road, ect. The bluetooth works great and it is very easy to make or receive a phone call. The sound quality of the speakers is average. Music sounds better with ear plugs in. With the version 4.1 firmware it is possible to talk among 4 riders at the same time. We also found a way to add a fifth rider, so 5 riders could talk at the same time. With the older firmware 3.0 you could only talk to one rider at a time. The units are resistant to rain and work in the rain. Overall I am very happy with the unit.

Great product! installed on two helmets in less than 20 min and was up and running. Iphone 4s works great at 70mph was crystal clear on both ends. music sound is good not a lot of bass but they are flat speakers, had no problem with sound levels at 65-70+ mph. intercom is awesome great sound and clarity, tested at 70mph and slower very little wind noise. would recommend to any one wanting a multi function blue tooth head set.

I originally bought this back in September. It didn't work properly (it would receive sound just fine but not send anything no one could hear me at all). After trying to work things out through Sena's support area we determined that it was a bad unit. No harm, no foul Amazon accepted the return and sent me a new one.

I received the new one in October and tried it out it worked perfectly. I only used it twice before putting the bike away for the winter. I took the bike out again last week and went to use it today only to find that it no longer works. During the winter, I charged it occasionally and it has never been dropped, etc. The light still comes on when you charge it (it changes from red to blue when it's charged) but it won't turn on. They (Sena) has a software program that you can install that keeps the unit up to date that won't connect either.

I have sent Sena an email describing the problem and am hoping for a resolution (they were actually quite responsive when I had the original issue) but honestly I can't in good conscience recommend a device that has failed on me twice (two separate ones neither worked properly).

This is quite upsetting as well because I also just purchased a CanAm Spyder and Sena is now making their official headsets and they are the SMH10. I really WANT to like them and purchase another one for my wife so we can talk when we're riding but unless support can do something to REALLY make me happy that won't be happening.

So, bottom line, the two times that it worked, it worked well and sounded great but I should be getting far more than two usages out of two different devices.

Gomadic Intelligent Compact Car / Auto DC Charger for the Garmin Nuvi 660 - 2A / 10W power at half

Gomadic Intelligent Compact Car / Auto DC Charger for the Garmin Nuvi 660 - 2A / 10W power at half the size. Uses Gomadic TipExchange Technology
  • Gomadic TipExchange Technology protects your investment by providing a means to change/upgrade your charger by simply swapping the physical charging tip. (Charging tip for Garmin Nuvi 660) included with additional tips sold separately)
  • Charger provides a full 10W (2,000mAh) of available current in a small form factor a little over 1 inch long. Flexible, straight cable measure 50 inches in total length.
  • Intelligent circuit provides precise output voltage and resistor configuration specific to the Garmin Nuvi 660. This ensures battery is safely and efficiently charged without affecting battery longevity.
  • Power Sleep"" feature will cut power draw of charger by over 99% when not in use. Charger will draw less than 0.1W of power when in ""ready state"" (e.g. not connected to the Garmin Nuvi 660).
  • Straight, non-coiled cable design allows for easy routing of your charger around vehicle trim for a more professionally installed look. Durable construction is built to last.

This substitute for the Garmin Nuvi 660 GPS is sturdy & fits well into the GPS itself via the USB port (not in the dashboard mount stand, as does Garmin's own car power supply). This adapter cord is able to supply power to different types of devices, because it has interchangeable "power tips" that plug into it, increasing its versatility (it comes with one tip & others are available at extra charge). My only complaint so far is that the fit is too tight in the car power receptacle, & it's hard to remove; hopefully this won't cause problems later. I've used it only a couple of times so far, so I can't comment on its durability.

Rapid Car Charger gave me back my GPS. Love my Garmin 660 GPS for directions; the auto charger that came with it not so much. When the original charger broke I went looking for a replacement. I do not leave my GPS in the car. The original charger was hard to get on and off the unit.

The Rapid Car Charger is easy to plug into the side of the GPS, easy to remove and charges quickly. The only thing I wish the makers had done differently was to make the cord a little longer. The stretch from my car charger to the GPS stretches the cord to the max. But that is a minor issue. If you need a new charger and don't mind the cord poking out the side instead of neatly from the bottom you will like this Rapid Car Charger

The charger does not seem to have been designed for a GPS receiver originally; Gomadic provides a rather shaky GPS receiver tip for it in what looks like a cell phone charger. When the GPS unit is connected to the power outlet, it is impossible to place it on the dashboard or windscreen.
