this is a great charger. charges my phone from one bar till full in bout an hour give or take ten min. didn't cause my phone to get hot while doing it either. the external antennna booster they give though is junk does nothing to help boost reception otherwise i'd given 5 stars.

The only negative of my Virgin Mobile Optimus V phone by LG is that it has a relatively short battery life. I bought a couple of these in order to give an extra one to my kids and to have one at work. These are perfectly identical to the original ones which came with my Optimus.

Almost as good as the one that came with the phone. Only flaw is that it fits very loose into the phone and you have to jiggle it to get the connection. Then it can't be moved without losing the connection.

The retractable feature is nice and convenient but the cord is flimsy, especially where it joins at the connector. Mine is nearly broken off. My suggestion to get longer life out of it, is to pull the connector (carefully and slowly) out by holding the cord. Don't pull it out by holding the connector as I did for little while. It will start to break at that area. There is a red power light to let you know it is plugged in to the receptacle. It stays on all the time. Item works but was designed with planned obsolescence in mind. I wish the cord was a heavier gauge. It looks like 22 gauge wire, too thin to be pulling on all the time. I am rating this 4 star because I've had my charger for 2 years and 8 months and it is still working but near the end of its life. You can lengthen the life by following my suggestion.

Nice unit; works as advertised. Seems a little insubstantial I would have made the retractable just a bit heftier and a bit longer but so far, it is working just as expected.

For a new ham getting into it for my city CERT program, this was just perfect for the price. The "standard" recommended was a much higher end Yaesu hand held which I tested out, and albiet at 3x the cost had some nifty features. But the UV-5RE was quite suitable, that is with the aid of the Yahoo group BaoFeng UV-5 and installation of the CHRIP software package which worked fine on my MacBook Pro.

I definitely recommend for those who are willing to work at figuring out the radio; as many others have stated the chenglesh manual is fairly useless. However if programming a TV remote control causes you consternation, I'd recommend the getting something with a bit more documentation, or better yet, a unit that others around you use and can help you get going with. This radio is definitely a DIY job!

Do some research the UV5R Boafeng has a bunch of radios and updated models that solve past issues. I have the UV5RE which works great. THere is another model after this I think. The only issue is the headset mic that comes with it is cheap and sounds so bad it is almost unusable but at this price who cares. There are also big issues with the programming cable you will need to order separate as there are lots of counterfit cables that are problematic to use.

Well after looking for a radio to start with getting into the Ham Radio World I looked and got into reading reviews. And I have to say I found sites that help me pick this radio without having to spend a lot of money on a radio. Yes it will be something new to me to learn how to do all you can do on this little radio. But learning something new with more money in the bank is better than learning something with no money in the bank. So if you don't understand what I am saying it is a great radio without breaking you.

I noticed on the Blackberry website that their car charger for the 7105t (7100 category) is also compatible with the 8700 and some others. So I took a chance and ordered this one (which is only labeled for the 8700) hoping it would work with my 7105t. It did. I paid a total of $11.34 for this one. That included shipping. It cost $25 on the Blackberry website. It does have a T-mobile label on it.

Side note: I purchased this because my previous charger would not charge the phone when I plugged it in my car. The charge light would come on for about 2 seconds then stop charging. Purchasing this item solved that problem.

Beware! ... you can easily overcharge your battery(s) with this unit. Overcharging can cause serious irreparable damage to your battery. Therefore, unless you're continually monitoring the charge state, and can disconnect this charger at the appropriate point, you need to use a charger that incorporates a charge controller. Don't use this unit as a "connect it and forget it" method of keeping your batteries charged or "topped off". You need something that has a charge controller. 73.

UPDATE: In response to other comments; yes, if you're charging (maintaining) large capacity batteries such as automotive or marine, a controller may be unnecessary. Caution due however with smaller batteries.

The charger works as advertised. The only thing I found lacking was a status light indicating that current was flowing to the battery when plugged into the cigarette lighter. I had to use a multimeter to check contacts at outputs for voltage 19.2 volts. It appears well made, price is reasonable, and shipping was speedy.

This does not work to charge my battery in my car because when the ignition is off there is no connection to the battery from the power port (cigarette lighter). Instead I have a spare car battery that I charge with the alligator clips and use with a power inverter to use as a power back up in case of a black out.

Have a truck I don't drive every day but alarm drains steady power and after 4 days dead. Not only does that kill a standard car battery but makes it inconvenient to get the truck started. So after my research, went with this solar maintainer because its very simple and well made. No need to worry about overcharging a car battery since its so low of wattage. I, stupidly, left feedback on how promptly this had arrived, and how pleased we were at that, and apparently, once having left feedback, even though I have removed it, Amazon will no longer give me a way to contact the seller to try to rectify things, so my sole recourse is to warn others. Of course we could not test it until we got to the UK, and it DID NOT WORK AT ALL. Nada. Zip. So we bought a converter there which worked brilliantly.

My advice, since you easily can get them abroad--ours was from a little lamp/hardware store in Morton-on-Marsh, England, so it wasn't as if we had to go to a big city--DO NOT BUY from a US seller. You can't test it, and it's just heavy junk to schlepp if it didn't work.

I just assumed it would work, and was trying to wrap up a bunch of Amazon feedback requests before leaving on the trip! Lesson two learned! You can't get back to the seller once you have left feedback.

The vendor I bought from was LaszPower and full disclosure: after sending my item, LaszPower sent a follow-up mailer claiming if I submit this review on Amazon they will send me a package of free stuff...so here's hoping!

The product was shipped quickly with a decent amount of packaging. For what you get it seems worth the price. The unit is nicely compact, feels solid and isn't too heavy (always a concern with my luggage). There are no wires or spare parts. All the prongs are neatly self-contained when not in use. The UK prongs are spring-loaded with a trigger switch on top of the device, which gives a strong 'pop' when activated. Be sure no sleeping babies are nearby! To avoid the loud popping sound, simply hold your thumbs over the UK prongs, activate the switch with your forefinger and gently ease back your thumbs. The prongs will push themselves into position. To re-load the prongs, perform the same steps in reverse order. This process was not at all documented in the included paperwork, but with a little trial-and-error it was easy enough. The trigger is not labeled on the device. A person could mistake it for a button at first. Hopefully this review helps you avoid confusion.

Many travel adapters have separate prongs for US and AU. Bestek combined the US and AU prongs into a single set. You may rotate the prongs with your fingers into the desired configuration. This process is labeled on the device.

There are 2 lights on the device's face, one green (labeled USB) and one red (AC). If/when issues occur, observe the lights. They will be on and/or off in various patterns depending on the specific problem. The included paperwork features a troubleshooting table that interprets the lights, so be sure and take it with you (it's one sheet of paper, folded).

For voltage conversion there are no switches or toggles. The unit always outputs 110VAC, no matter the input. For US travelers abroad, this means no thought is required. Just plug in your stuff. Travelers from other countries should note this device ONLY ouptuts 110VAC. As always, any traveler should check the specific requirements for their own electronics.

There is one receptacle on the device's face. It is the universal type that accepts plugs of all configurations. The single USB power port is located on the bottom of the device.

This adapter worked well until I (foolishly) tried to plug in a US surge protector with it. I think I blew the internal fuses on both units! In fairness to the adapter I was in Ukraine, in an older building with faulty wiring. We experienced electrical issues in other parts of the building, so that may have contributed to the problem. In any event, the adapter worked perfectly for about 5 minutes before I tried to get creative with it. I'm going to replace the fuse on this one. If that doesn't work I plan to buy this adapter again and treat it more carefully.

Cradle is of good quality. However, if you have a case on your phone, you have to remove the bottom half in order to use the charger. Not a big deal, but some cases are harder to remove. Another minus is that it uses a proprietary plug to connect the cradle. It would have been more versatile with a micro USB port. That way, you could use the cradle (without case) or USB cable with case.

The Peak PKC0CS Charger is not a smart charger or intelligent charger as the description indicates. This is just one of many standard automotive chargers that provides inadequate performance.

I'm very pleased with this product. It was much less expensive than comparable models and I like the fact that you can just attach it to the battery and it will automatically switch from charge mode to trickle mode.

I also had a great experience with tech support. I had some technical questions about a unique setup I have (I'm charging two 12V batteries in series) and they were extremely helpful.

Just wanted potential buyers to note that this does not come with the micro usb cables that are pictured in the second image for this product. The description doesn't state that it does, I just didn't pay close enough attention after seeing the image which showed the charger and the cables. Great price though.
