I purchased this item with great hope based on the reviews submitted. However, when I received I noticed the items were not the same as those pictured. Also the moment I plugged the wall charger in the wall and tried to remove it, one AC prong stayed stuck in the outlet. It just pulled right out of the wall charger. So I gave the USB cable a chance but that did not work out great either. When I plugged it into my computer, it did charge the Sansa and it seemed to work. But while transferring files to the Sansa it crashed. This never happened with the original cord. All in all the quality is very cheap, as is evident in the price.

If it helps anyone the items I purchased claimed to be produced by BargainCell but they shipped from iShoppingDeals. I mention this because while writing this review I noticed the same item link now states it ships from a different seller. So perhaps that could make all the difference. Considering the price I may not return the kit but its still money lost so I hope this review helps others.

I bought this Samlex Battery Charger over six months ago. It is large, very well built, and can also double up as a dc load power source. I really love this charger, it is easy to use and it is a much more professional level then any average battery charger.

It is also extremely reasonable all things considered. It comes with 4 connects, one ground terminal and three separate positive individually fused positive terminals. You don't have to use more then one if you are charging only one battery bank for example, but you do have the option to split its 15 amps of power amoung the 3 positive connections. Let's say you want to run one lead to a battery bank and the second lead to a dc load. All you gotta do is connect the different positive cables to two of the terminals, use the single ground terminal as a common ground and the unit will split the total of 15 amps accordingly.

This is one of the first really serious items I purchased setting up my solar battery bank and I use it when there are a run of rainy days. It is not small. The one con I can think of is after an hour or so of usage it starts to heat up a bit so I just bought a small 13 watt 6 inch AC fan which I plug into my prowatt true sine AC inverter that I have right next to it. Cools it right down and keeps it cool for hours.

I highly recommend this charger and am going to purchase a second 15 amp one or just go for the 30 amp model. Anyway, ya can't go wrong with this. And did I say how easy it is to set up for whatever batteries you may have or any dc load you may want to power?

Well it can't be simpler. It comes with four dip switches that are really simple to set, and a very precise and informative user guide to tell you how to set em!!

Easily changed to 230v. Very helpful to have its own meter. Was easy to install and has worked well all summer.

Note that it's branded for some vendor-specific phone, but it comes with interchangable micro USB, mini USB and some other barrel-type tips. Works fine on the N1. Cord is pretty thin, and I guess there may be some long term durability concerns, but at this price buy several.

The cable is VERY thin and mine came broken (you could see a bare wire inside). The retractable mechanism also broke in about 2 days.

Waiting 8 days already for replacement.........maybe my charger was defective.

I just got this yesterday, 10/21/11, and I must say I'm pretty darn impressed for just $12.95. It is not awesome, still a bit of static. BUT, on the right station (in my area) I barely hear any static even when I'm jamming pretty loudly. So, I give it a FOUR STAR. Smack dab in between the first two reviews so far. The only reason I tried this is because of the price AND the first review of FIVE STARS. Then, before I got mine, a second review popped up at THREE STARS. I'm happier than 3 and not as impressed as the 5. I do recommend this quite highly simply because of the price. Darn FM tuners are so difficult to gauge. Even a very highly recommended tuner on ilounge.com did not get the best reviews here on amazon. So, go figure. Best of luck to you who follow my advice. My tuner is set at the lowest frequency of 87.7 I believe, and it sounds pretty sharp. Give it a try. For the price, I don't think you can go wrong!

It might be just my Ipod touch's case, but this charger doesn't have a very long connector to plug into the ipod. I have to take my ipod out of the case (which isn't very thick) in order to use this. It also feels like it is very flimsy when you plug it into the ipod so I have to make sure it is laying down flat when I use it so the connection stays tight. I like it for the price, but I am definitely not in LOVE with it.

The included converter has two settings: 50W & 1600W. On the 1600W setting it acts as a solid state converter which is designed only to support up to 1600 watt for purely resistive appliances (heat producing) such as hair dryers but not flat irons which require transformers. You may ask why? because most hair dryers are purely resistive, they only have heating element without any kind of electronics components. On the other hand flat irons now have electronic chips that control the heat. Thus using the solid state converter such as this on a 1600W setting will damage the converter and the flat iron. Now, on the 50W setting it acts a transformer for small electronics up to 50W. 50W is enough for small items such as battery chargers and shavers. But 50W is too low for something like flat iron because these type of products surge when they are switched ON and most of the times exceed 200W. The plugs are very handy for use with dual voltage products such as my laptop, cell phone charger and ipod. Plugs can also be used along with this converter for your 110V only products.

I bought this to take with me on a two week trip to Spain and Portugal so I could use my curling iron and charge my notebook computer. The first time I used it (curling iron) all went well. The second time, I was charging my notebook (on the low setting of course)while answerinig email. Something suddenly smelled hot. Then, big pop, and all the lights went out. The hotel sent a maintenance person who reset the breaker switch. The next morning I decided to try one more time. The second the metal of the converter with plug touched the metal in the outlet....pop.....lights and power out. This time I reset the breaker. So this converter failed completely on the second use. It was impossible to use it any more, and I threw it away. What a waste of money! Don't buy this one.

I purchased this kit because it had both settings for use with normal and higher wattage appliances. The first night it worked properly but I noticed it was very warm and smelled like plastic burning. I thought it was due to being used the first time. Like another customer, I did my own extensive research. This is an amazing battery for the price, and free shipping to boot. I currently have primarily wet cell batteries which are extremely dangerous and a pain to transport with that given danger of spillage of sulfuric acid. I purchased an Optima battery, which is a great product itself, however its capacity seems to max out at 66AH. That, and they seem to be a little bit overpriced. These batteries solve both problems with being AGM batteries, and 125AH. I bought two and run them in parallel and they lasted a good few days powering my entire multi-media center (Power guzzling TV, 7.1 700W surround sound receiver and speakers with separately plugged in 12" sub, PS3, Modem, router, various fans, etc.). Only down side is that they are EXTREMELY heavy (about 75lbs. each). But having worked with batteries and power for a living, I understand that that is just a fact of DC life. There is no way around it! The bigger the capacity, the heavier the battery. Plus, these are dry cell (NO MAINTENANCE).

These batteries are perfect for the applications they describe (solar). Like another customer mentioned, it even has its own torque recommendations. Given that I don't leave it with a float voltage or anything and move it back and forth from the solar panel system I built to the house to be hooked up to an inverter, I don't really pay much mind...but if you plan on leaving these in a stagnant location, I would definitely follow the torque recommendations to get maximum potential and efficiency from these batteries.

I still can't get over the free shipping! Anyway, coming from the point of view of someone who worked with batteries and DC power for a living, these are awesome batteries.

After extensive study of what type of battery to use for my solar storage, I decided to spend the extra money and buy a top of the line battery. After all, it is as important as the solar panels, if you plan on actually using the voltage once the sun goes down. This battery was a complete surprise. Be prepared to deal with the weight this is one heavy battery. It even has the tourque specifications for the terminal posts written on the top of the battery. If you are using any type of 12 volt storage this will definitely impress you.

This is my second Orion cradle and like the other, it workds nicely.

I am not a fan of Micro USB, I think Mini USB was a smoother plug to use, but what can you do. I don't know if it is an issue with the Micro USB standard, or the tolerances on the cradle, but inserting and removal are nto as smooth as my old Orion Mini USB dock.

Don't know if it is the Micro USB standard, so I won't remove a star as it does work just fine with just the minor annoyance.

By the way, I purchased a GSI dock too, it was DOA. I'll always turn to Orion first.

This cradle fits tilt 2 perfectly and spare battery charger is just what I wanted. Now if I forget to charge the phone I still have a backup battery that is ready to go.

I mostly agree with the previous review except for one thing the battery issue. I bought the best deep-cycle marine battery ($70 at WalMart) and I am pleased with the results. I drained the battery intentionally and this little 15W panel fully charged it in 4 days (I'm in So Cal). I have a patio room that has my boom-box and a 4 strings of white holiday lights (non-LED) that run off the battery with an inverter. I also charge all my small electronic devices from it. Most days the battery is full as the sun sets. And I have become very conscious to turn off the music and lights when I leave the room to conserve power.

I built a box that houses the battery and mounted the charge controller and inverter on the outside. I am going to add a 2nd panel soon and change the holiday lights to the LED ones (brighter and lower power). Then I'll charge my laptop and power tool batteries from it overnight and keep adding other devices to it and when I need to I'll add another panel and/or another battery.

I consider this a fun experiment that is easy to expand upon and one that has proved to me that solar is the future.

I bought this solar panel to keep my gate openers' 2 12v 7amp-hour batteries charged. I have the mighty mule two-leaf gate opener (from home depot, FM402) and the instructions say you need at least 10 watts of solar to maintain the batteries. Well Mighty Mule's $130 solar panel only generates 5 watts, so you supposedly need two of them to do the job. Keep in mind these specs are rated for dozens (75+) of gate cycles a day.. At my place, the gate cycles 10 times a day MAX (usually more like 4-6) so I really didnt need that much wattage. ANYWAYS I ran the gates on batteries alone (I installed the second optional battery) for a couple of weeks, 10+ cycles per day (lots of adjusting, and testing) and it ran fine. Voltage dropped from 12.5v to 11.5v after approximately 2 weeks which is when I received the solar panel. I installed it and after one sunny day (san diego), the batteries were topped off, back up at 12.5v. So I am pretty confident that the system is going to be reliable even thru winter and low-sun months. The solar panel is well made, and sturdy. For the money, I dont think you can find a better product. Based on the power output, the very SMALL size of the panel, and the LOW price, I dont think you can do any better. I would not hesitate to buy another one, in fact I plan on experimenting with solar for some more projects around my place in the near future. The mighty mule electronics have "solar" inputs built into the board, so there was no need for a charging controller or any kind of regulator. The panel seemed to put out about 20v (meter connected directly to the panel) so keep in mind you cannot just connect it right to a battery.

I finally got around to comparing this panel to a Sunforce 15 watt. The Instapark is constructed with a nice aluminium frame, produced 4.5 time more power in a test I did in North NJ, at 9:45 am in clear conditions on 4/10/2013. 200ma versus 45ma.

I would not waste my money on the charge controller though, these on/off varieties are typically not suitable for most applications.

I got this to keep my extra car battery changed that I use in my tent with my laptop and cpap. This kept it topped off and charged. Now I use it to change my battery on my travel trailer, so far this has been keeping up even with the heater running and the lights being use a little. I do plan on getting a 50 Watt and a voltage regulator for the travel trailer. But so far this has kept up.

The instructions for wireing are poor and I am a little concerned because I have ordered a second panel and am not shure how to wire the panels togeather.
