I got this charger in good time and at an affordable price, the only con is that it seem to flicker at times. I'm assuming it's the charger since I hook up at 2 other charges to my car and never have this issue but overall it's ok.

After several missteps I finally got it right and my Garmin Street Pilot C330 is working perfectly. This is an excellent product, but you need to be aware of a couple of things. First of all, you need a soldering iron, otherwise forget it. The item description doesn't mention it, but you have to use a soldering iron to take out the old battery and connect the new one. Secondly, you need to watch the video (comes with the package) very closely as to the placement of a metal piece that comes dangling after you open up the Garmin. I don't know the function of this metal piece which is connected to the GPS thru several small wires. If this is not correctly placed in the bottom slot of the Garmin, it will not be able to pick up satellite signals. I learned it the hard way. I thought somehow I fried my Garmin!

Had issues with installation & heat setting of new battery. Instructions seemed simple, but when unit reassembled IT DID NOT WORK. The GPS would suddenly shut off with loss of power while charging?? Then when man handling (twisting exterior casing/wires may suddenly come on then off). Took the unit apart again, wires connected, reassembled and same things happened. If it worked briefly on dash of car, if you attempted to adjust the GPS shut off and lost data requiring resetting of trip. I thought the two contacts on casing were not touching but that does not seem to be the problem. In process of purchasing a new replacement GPS that the new battery was to avoid. Wish I could just sent my GPS in to be repaired. The experience did not end as expected. Signed "Disapointed" Tom

When I saw the listing for this product, I was a little skeptical. A FM transmitter/charger, for this price? Whatever. Don't be thrown off by the unassuming packaging and industrial design, this is a strong product. My experience with FM transmitters has been marred by the inconsistent quality of Griffin's iTrip. This product absolutely blows it out of the water.

I purchased this to use on a road trip and had mixed results. I'm giving it 3 stars becuase it really only half works. The fm transmitter worked fine. In fact, it had the best sound quality of any transmitter I've tried. The charging portion of this was crap. The first time I hooked it up, I thought it was great. It charged the phone fast. After that first time though, it never worked right again. The best I can get from the charger is that it maintains the battery level on the phone wherever it is at when you plug it in, but it does not charge the phone at all. I thought maybe my cigarette lighter was failing but my gps and other phone chargers all worked without a hitch, so it has to be a failure by this unit.

This is awesome because I drive an 02 Protege which doesn't have auxiliary (such an uncool chic lol)But now I can easily hook-up my Virgin Mobile Triumph and music plays clear and loud.

When I charge my phone it seems to charge fairly quickly :)(a twenty minute drive gives me half a battery charge).

I don't charge and listen to music simultaneously though unfortunately, because as I accelerate in my stick shift the faster I drive the louder a high pitch hum continuously sounds.

Overall I am really glad I purchased this and I would do so again if I needed to, as well as recommend the 2nd Generation Audio FM Transmitter plus integrated Car Charger for the Motorola Triumph with Gomadic TipExchange Technology. I've used it for months now without an issue.

The first thing you notice when this charger/starter arrives at your door is the weight. Yes you can carry it around but it is by no means light weight. At about 10lbs this is no plastic toy. Its got a heavy metal case, sizable clamps, and a plastic handle on top. The dial is a simple twist from 6v 30amp to 12v 10amp to 12v 30amp to Start 12v 200amp. The manual is a small booklet full of the usual warnings, a step by step on proper jumper placement, and a table to calculate how long to leave a battery on the device. It is manual and will not shut itself off so you can damage a battery with this thing. Of course it is manual so you don't get the usual faulty responses either (I consider this a pro).

The included converter has two settings: 50W & 1600W. On the 1600W setting it acts as a solid state converter which is designed only to support up to 1600 watt for purely resistive appliances (heat producing) such as hair dryers but not flat irons which require transformers. You may ask why? because most hair dryers are purely resistive, they only have heating element without any kind of electronics components. On the other hand flat irons now have electronic chips that control the heat. Thus using the solid state converter such as this on a 1600W setting will damage the converter and the flat iron. Now, on the 50W setting it acts a transformer for small electronics up to 50W. 50W is enough for small items such as battery chargers and shavers. The plugs are very handy for use with dual voltage products such as my laptop, cell phone charger and ipod. Plugs can also be used along with this converter for your 110V only products.

I bought this to take with me on a two week trip to Spain and Portugal so I could use my curling iron and charge my notebook computer. The first time I used it (curling iron) all went well. The second time, I was charging my notebook (on the low setting of course)while answerinig email. Something suddenly smelled hot. Then, big pop, and all the lights went out. The hotel sent a maintenance person who reset the breaker switch. The next morning I decided to try one more time. The second the metal of the converter with plug touched the metal in the outlet....pop.....lights and power out. This time I reset the breaker. So this converter failed completely on the second use. It was impossible to use it any more, and I threw it away. What a waste of money! Don't buy this one.

I purchased this kit because it had both settings for use with normal and higher wattage appliances. The first night it worked properly but I noticed it was very warm and smelled like plastic burning. I thought it was due to being used the first time. We called the desk and they said it happens all the time and they'd be right up to reset it. They reset it and it immediately tripped the breaker again. At that point the attendant came in the room and plugged it in himself and it threw out sparks and again tripped the breaker. Overall this product works pretty good. The hole for the power cord did not work since the plug sticks out of the case. I had to make a minor modification for the plug and it works fine now. The case tends to move with the vibration of the motorcycle it is mounted on.

This battery by far is the best battery to use if you are using high voltage power not only from your factory equipment but allows you to hook up additional items as well and not put any strain on your vehicle. I had the yellow optima battery before but this batter blows any style of those batteries away.

I have a 2000 watt Hifonics amp cea certified at 2000 watts so I actually have 2000 running through my subs and this battery fit perfectly under my hood but then moved it in the trunk as a second battery. I've never heard such a big difference in clarity and loudness because of a single item, this battery is small and packs a punch. Don't ever buy a capacitor for over 500 watts just buy a Kinetik battery and you'll be hooked for life. I upgraded this battery just a few months after purchase for the 1800 more suited for my system.

It's got the same versatility as the optima batteries whether you want to lay it on the side or straight up. For the size, they should be able to output a little more CCA but if you're using it for an audio system or a lowrider this type of battery would work great. If you have a lot of space in the trunk, there are a few other options if you want to go bigger. I think they look great for your show car too! I belive this is an excellent small battery as it is well made.

I was also pleased with the behavior of the seller.They had sent me the wrong battery (12 amps) instead of 10 amps. When I sent them an email concerning the problem they replied the same day and immediately sent me the correct battery. In addition they made arrangements , that were no trouble for me , to pick up the incorrect one. I understand that in large volume selling occasional mistakes will be made.

I was very impressed by the correction of that error.

After dealing with the "Non-Customer" Service at Neuton Mowers, I went to Amazon and looked up Batteries for Neuton Mowers. Amazon does not offer them anymore BUT, there was a guy who stated that he bought two of these and replaced the "guts" of his Neuton Battery case. FOR 1/2 THE PRICE OF WHAT NEUTON CHARGES!!! This was brilliant and at 1/2 the price a "no brainer".

I immediately went to my dead Neuton battery and removed two screws, pulled out the two 12V-10aH batteries inside the case. Left it as it was (did not unplug anything so I could copy it when the new ones arrived) and went in to order two of these through Amazon. They came in a about 4 days, I pulled them out of the box, went to the old battery, unplugged the old connections and plugged them into the new batteries. Put the two screws back on the door to the battery case and plugged it in to charge. VOILA!!! Ready to mow with a new battery for 1/2 the price I would have paid if I had ordered it from Neuton! By the way, it was 1/2 the price with S&H included!!

Neuton may suck but, the guy who wrote that review on Amazon that helped me save 1/2 my money is a righteous dude!!!

Well, I will give it one star because I have to and one more because it worked great for a week then started to get loider. I bought it off Woot for $8 + shipping and could not get them to replace it. I guess it has a manufacturer Warranty but have not tried that yet. The problem it that it made a rattling noise and sounds as if something is stuck in it. Then it starts to smell as if it is about to catch on fire. Great, that is the last thing I needmy truck to burn down. I will not use it if I am not with it.

Other downsides. The charging port is on the same side as the power cord that you plug in. This is awkward. You can only charge one at a time or it gets loud. Never tried it on an airplane but I guess that would be one place that the amount of noise it makes would not matter. Mine did not come with it's little cary case as it was supposed to.

This is a fine searching/scanning radio (with scanning defined as finding stations within the frequencies that have been stored by the user in banks of 10 with 20 banks available). It is very well made and should last a long time. Many of the numerous keys perform two functions, one as labeled and a second one using the FN key when pressed first. It is a fairly heavy hand-held unit with back-lighting supplied automatically only when needed or separately when desired by the user. This unit the new bc95xlt (or the newer designation bc95xltb) is an update of the earlier Uniden model that had railroad band searching (by individual channels) for example directly within the six pre-programmed service search bands, but now to do railroad listening you can simply specify one of the 10 unspecified frequency search bands instead. Other reviewers have found this change to be totally adequate even if you are a railroad enthusiast just like I am.

I am also into aircraft band listening and this is still designated within the 6 pre-programmed service band search sequence. Also, the weather bands which don't search automatically (since there are only 7 USA channels) are extremely clear with no static at all. I am extremely pleased with this unit and I am very glad that I was able to get it at this very low price (compared to the bc72xlt which is still just like the old version of the bc95xlt as can readily be confirmed on Uniden's own website).

The unit also has a nice built-in speaker that is surprisingly adequate for everyday listening, but also comes with a mini-plug jack for a monaural earphone (but not supplied surprisingly!). It also has a separate BNC antenna jack (and it does come with the antenna!) as well as analog controls for both squelch and separately for the speaker volume. The LCD display is very nice and easy to read and indicates a multitude of the numerous possible options such as: 1) Low battery indicator (for either regular Alkaline AA cells or Ni-Metal hydride rechargeable batteries with a switch internal to the battery compartment for setting which type is being used), 2) Searching the specific service band search typesWeather (WX), Police (POL), Fire, Aircraft (AIR), Marine (MRN by channel), HAM, etc., 3) Bank Scanning (for user or computer-stored frequencies), 4) Close Call-Capture listening for very nearby sources of unknown origin, 5) DELAY allowances for time departures between outgoing and incoming radio signals, etc.

CON: The unit's belt clip can only be removed by unscrewing the two screws directly from the back of the unit, but on the plus side, it will certainly stay on very snugly and securely when it is needed. Also the serial or USB cable as well as the software needed for using a PC to store frequencies automatically must be purchased separately directly from Uniden.

The unit also comes with an AC adaptor which is probably because the batteries don't last a super long time. Another reviewer estimated a battery lifetime of 5 days for heavy usage.

This is also not the unit to buy if you live in a BIG city where far more expensive trunk-tracking technology is needed to adequately track Police conversations on multiple frequencies for example.

I was scared to buy this item after reading how hard it was to program it from the reviews. It could not be easier! I read the directions through twice which is important and had 5 banks loaded up with all the local agencies in less than an hour. It's a fun toy. I purchased it for emegencies since we live near a oil coker plant. Twice it lit up the sky when they had to release gases. It looked like a bomb had been dropped. When this kind of thing happens all phone lines are busy. No reaching police or fire. Nice to have a scanner!!!!

WORST FEATURES? Too many steps to do stuff, too few buttons (replaced with "Function" button), on/off switch is NOT in the volume control as other scanners usally are.

RECOMMEND TO FIRST-TIME SCANNER BUYER? Most definately!

RECOMMEND TO PREVIOUS SCANNER OWNERS? No way! (You'll understand if you buy one.)

I've owned tons of hand-held scanners since the 60's, and this one has to be the most complicated one I've had when it comes to a few simple features. Searching can be a nightmare to get started. Most scanners only take the simple push of one button to instantly lock out a channel. Not this one: you have to first push the Function button, then Lockout. Anytime you have to push TWO buttons to operate a feature only makes it more complicated to use, especially in the dark. Even with a few other functions there are far too many buttons to press and steps to take. I think Uniden should have just put more buttons on it rather than make a "function" button. Heck, 1 more row of 4 buttons would have solve so many issues! The USB plug is a cool feature if I buy the program, but it seems like adding more complications to an already complicated item. I don't like having an On/Off button in front. I'm used to every scanner I've ever owned only taking a simple turn of the volume knob to turn on or off and this one is far from this easy. It does what it was designed to do: it scans. Not the finest sound quality I've heard. I think the best feature is the compact size. I ride a motorcycle and love having a scanner stuffed into my inside pocket with an earplug in my ear, and this one is perfect for this! I've always dreamed of the day when Uniden or Radio Shack would invent stubby antennaes for scanners (like 3-4 inches would be ideal). Don't get me wrong, I like this scanner and it was an excellent price for a scanner with so many channels. I would possibly recommend this scanner to a friend, but would certainly not buy another one in the future. I'll stick with my old Bearcat 100-channel or my Radio Shack 200-channel, both hand-helds. I only bought this one because of its compact size, which is about the only thing about it that I like so far. As for the reason it eats batteries so fast is because there is only 2. Every scanner I've owned that used only 2 batteries went through them fast! I usually try to find one that uses 4, then pack extra batteries along with me in my car or storage bag.

Many of you will no doubt disagree with my review. That's to be expected. But as I said, I've owned almost every brand of hand-held scanner ever made in the last 40+ years and THIS one has to be the most complicated to operate. Too many buttons to press/steps to take just to do 1 thing.

BUT: I will no doubt purchase Uniden again in the future because, in my opinion, they DO make the BEST scanners out there! Of the probably 15-20 Uniden scanners I've owned, mostly hand-held, THIS ONE is the most complicated to use and has the worst features and power button.

GREAT SCANNER for the first-time scanner buyer! Yes, it scans and searches. Yes, it's compact in size. But for us old scanner enthusiasts from back over the years I believe it's one to avoid.

We bought this scanner after much research so we could stay in touch with what's goin' on out there. We live in a rural area so I didn't know what to expect for reception, but we were surprised at the distances for some of the conversations. Fortunately the area we wanted to cover uses only conventional frequencies ( no trunking) so this radio works fine.

After reading many reviews and the owner's manual, it really wasn't hard to program. A couple of hints: in the manual you will find some recomended web sites all of which are very good. I don't think I can use site names here, but go to the one with "Reference" in the name and you will find every frequency you could want all cross referenced and searchable. I found the easiest was to bring up the state I was interested in and go from there.

Also, after you find the frequencies you want, organize them on paper however you want, number them 1 to 200 and you are ready. Don't be put off by banks,etc. As you are numbering them, every twenty (#1,21,41,61,etc) starts a new bank. So if there are some you won't use all the time, put them in a separate bank so you can turn them off when you don't need them.

Anyway, the scanner works great, easy to use, sound is fine for a small portable. I'd kinda like to see them come out with a similar unit that could hold 300-500 frequencies, but we are very happy with this one!

I received this for christmas, and I really like it a lot, yeah programming is a little hard, but not impossible, there is a lot of frequencies listed on the internet for free, it just takes a little searching and then you can enter known frequencies into it, the user manual sort of stinks, nothing seems too be in generic terms for novices like myself, so there is a learning curve on instructions, so here's a little free help, when your searching for content in your local area like police frequencies, turn on the unit, Press function and 3/Svc button, Police will appear on the display, by pressing it again FIRE and other services will appear, so scan POLICE first, when you hear activity on the radio, Push HOLD button, and FUNC and then E/Pgm button twice. it should enter that frequency into an available bank, and follow same procedures everytime, please read instructions anyways, because it will educate you, and you will find where they forgot to mention something important, outside of that, I like this scanner, for the price, you can't beat it, its better than my base unit, I would recommend this radio for emergencies around the home.

I bought the 2-way radio for our cruise we took. I bought it after reading about similar cobra products and liked the fact that batteries were rechargeable. After the initial charge the 2-way radio worked fine. We could communicate on the ship with each other to find where the other was, the voice was clear and crisp. One draw back was not having sub-channels on this product, as a result we could hear other conversations from other users. Even though the feature lists 16 mile range, I would say the maximum range was about 1 to 1.5 miles on an island without any major obstacles. The initial charge lasted a while but when the initial charge was gone, one of the radios would not recharge again and after a while the other failed to recharge. I tried charging for over 2 days but still no luck. I don't know where the failure was, whether it was the charger or the batteries themselves. I really like these radios but were useless without recharge so I ended up in returning to Amazon.

I bought this set of two walkies at Walmart for $24 and was attracted to the small size, simple design, and rechargeable batteries. I had intended to give them to my kids so when they hike about on our 25 acres of upstate forest, I can keep in touch with them. 16 miles under ideal conditions and 1 mile in the city according to the back panel. From the front lawn of our suburban home, without more than a few trees blocking, the signal faded after 1500 feet. By a mile, mostly static and largely inaudible. I would suggest that at $24, they are a great toy and within 1000ft, certainly as clear as a bell. Don't rely on them for anything over a mile especially if staying in contact is critical.

I also bought this at Walmart. Charged it up for 15 hours per instructions. The wall charger never even got warm. Indicator still showed less than 10% charge. Put in fresh AAA's, same deal. Boxed them back up and returned next day.

The Prostar 15 is a no-nonsense, high quality solar charge controller for a reasonable price. I have been using mine for a few weeks now aboard my boat with a 100w solar array. The controller was very easy to install, provides indication that it is operating properly with LEDs, and gives off no noise or RF interference (mine is mounted in an electronics cabinet just a couple feet from my VHF and FM radios). There are many other chargers out there that offer more features for considerably more money, but for the intended application, the Prostar is a solid controller at a great price.

Great product, solid, excellent work. This does exactly what it is supposed to. Rugged and puts up with being in outside battery house.

I have worked on a system using this charge controller and over the years the controller has had to be replaced on average once every two or three years because it simply stopped working. No indication why, it just simply stopped. For the price, I would be expecting a product that would last, but that is not my experience with this charge controller. I am currently in the market to replace the controller right now and am looking at alternatives.

This cable is useless for the iPad 4. I bought this item to prevent me from sitting next to a power outlet while utilizing my iPad. I'm not complaining. This is a nice cable. It does exactly what the description says it will do. You'll be able to charge and sync your iPhone 5 or iPad 4 without difficulty.

But, be aware, it cannot be used to update your IOS software. If you try, you will get an error stating that the IOS software download is corrupted. Apple wants to make sure that the update doesn't fail when they push it to your device. If the cable isn't one of theirs, you'll get the error.

So, keep your Apple cable handy to do the updates.

I think it's a cool case with the solar. It comes with a USB way to charge it. I went to plug in the charger with the original USB outlet adapter 5.1v. 2.1 amp. The thing started smoking. I will change this review when the situation is rectified.

These are powerful and flexible units. They are also reasonably rugged.

The headphones were given to my son to play with as I found them to not stay on worth anything. I bought throat mics and that eliminated that issue. Midland TH4 Tactical Series Throat Mic with Acoustic Ear Tube work really well with these units. By wearing an ear plug in one ear, the earpiece in the other and then 3M Peltor Tactical 6S Behind-the-Head Hearing Protector (97043) over them it was comfortable and you could talk back and forth on a loud firing line with clear understanding and complete clarity.

I especially appreciated the radios ability to use two channels at once. One unit was the control set and then it could communicate with two sets of radios on two separate channels. This was useful as I could talk to Range Control with one channel and my students on the other in my own private classes.

Total f-in garbage. Not even worth the paltry six bucks it and the shipping will cost you. The USB adapter doesn't fit my Sansa Fuze, despite it being one of the compatible models listed. The AC adapter was broken on arrival because they didn't ship it in a box. The car adapter fell apart when I took it out of its package. I was able to screw the end back on, but the thing is so cheaply constructed I give it a week before its completely unusable.

The charger is so poorly made it fell apart after less than two weeks of light usage. I had impulsively bought two (one for the wife, who never used hers), and the second one also fell apart after two weeks of light usage. It's inexpensive, all right, but it's not even worth the tiny amount of money I paid for it.

Basically, it consists of two molded shells that snap together, and plugging the UBS adapter into the socket pushes the two halves apart.
