I realized after getting this charger, I am not a fan of the ones with a coil in it. It just takes alot of tension to pull it, and really shortens the charger length. Lights up orange, but not too bright. Does the job. Charges as fast as other car chargers, I think .5 amps?, wall chargers are 1.5-2 amps depending on the phone, the more amps, obviously the faster the charge, but does the job.

This charger is very cost-effective, and it works great! It scarcely weighs anything, it has a red LED to indicate that it is connected to power, and it seems like it charges faster than the OEM one (though I might just think that because my original Nokia charger broke and started losing connection, which took my Nokia 6126 a long time to charge).

This charger does have a shorter cord than the OEM one, but that's fine for my uses. It makes it more portable.

In a nutshell, if you need a new charger for one of the supported Nokia phones, grab this one unless you need some kind of long cord.

My main reason for purchasing this product was to add to my total puchases so i would get free shipping. However, i am extremely happy with this product. I bought this item when my ipod mini decided to get a brain and shut off at random times claiming dead battery. Plugged the tune juice into the dock port, and voila! Music for hours and hours..The 9-volt battery is a little wierd, but if it works, it works. Having received this item as a gift, I decided to do a few tests with it and my ipod video 30gb. First I ran a movie, medium sound volume, on my ipod alone with it fully charged. It lasted 137 minutes (2 hours, 17 min.). Then I *fully* recharged the ipod and plugged it into the TuneJuice with a brand new 9v. On the same set of movies, it lasted 202 minutes (3 hours, 22 minutes). So you'd get about an hour of extra power. Not bad for the price.

However, there are some things to consider. This is a one shot deal: when the ipod battery runs out, you will not be able to use the TuneJuice to recharge it. The 9v is not powerful enough to run the ipod by itself, and so the ipod will be draining both the TuneJuice and its own battery simultaneously. The ipod battery will drain faster than the 9v and run out before it.

The next day, we tested the 9v we used and it was still good. So you will be able to use the same 9v more than once.

So bottom line: in order to get the full use of the TuneJuice, you have to plug it in when the ipod battery is fully charged. Once the ipod's battery runs out, which it will, the TuneJuice is useless no matter how many 9v batteries you have with you or how charged they are. You will have to recharge your ipod battery.

It's good, then, if you only need your ipod video to last that extra hour and no longer.

For anybody who has a video ipod (I have the 30g model), this is a must if you want to watch videos on your ipod and your travel time is likely to take more than 2 hours.

I also carry an extra 9v battery, just in case.

I've had absolutely no problems with this unit and use it constantly on planes.

Sima STP-325 325-Watt Power Inverter

Nice design, good qulity, easy to use. However, the cooling fan is noisy.

My Dell M6600 laptop comes with a 240 watt power adapter. I realize one must over-spec when purchasing modified sine wave inverters, such as this, because devices tend to use more current than when connected to the power company's pure sine wave that they are designed to use, how much more, depends on the type of load. I cannot say with any certainty if this device delivers 325 watts continuously, since wattage measuring devices are also designed to use pure sine wave. I do know this device cannot run laptop with a 240 watt power adapter, fully charged battery, medium screen intensity, at idle, for more than 5 minutes. Perhaps I need to spec 480 watts? One must take into consideration this factor when calculating the price differential between pure sine and modified sine wave devices.

This is the second modified sine wave inverter I've had. The first one had capacity problems too, and later burned up. (different brand) I hate spending the money but I think I'm just kidding myself to think things will be better with another modified sine wave inverter. I also tried a modified sine UPS on a server once and that was a disaster too. With the mix of load types out there, it would be impossible to calculate how much larger one needs to go with modified sine devices. Considering the electrical noise, things such as dimmers, and variable speed devices that won't work, and the risk of burning things up, I think I'll just go with a pure sine wave device. Then I can simply add up the ratings of the devices or the results of a kill-a-watt meter to know what it can, and cannot handle. Another big advantage with pure sine devices is they can typically double their output for a short period of time. This enables them to start electric motors, which in turn also allows you to accomplish the same tasks with a much smaller unit.

Judging by reviews and prices, it appears Xantrex pure sine wave inverters have the best bang for the buck when I take into consideration that they don't overstate their output, and are reliable.

Now I just need to determine which size. At first I was thinking about getting a larger one, and when the power goes out, run a cord into the house from my SUV into the house to run the things, such as my printer, wireless, furnace, and a few lights. The problem with that is for the difference in price, I can buy a little generator, and a 105 Amp car alternator at idle only puts out ~50 amps, which would come out to ~500 watts. I also wouldn't be able to leave the house and keep the fridge and furnace going. I'll probably will go with the Xantrex PROWatt 600, and buy a used 2.5KW generator off Craigslist. That combo would take care of me on the road and at home.

I got mine in 2004 while trucking. Used it for everything from camping to travel. I have overloaded it, blown fuses, melted the plastic around the lighter socket adapter tip, used it in the rain with only a plastic shopping bag protecting it.... Probably not so great for ventilation. Yes looking back on it now "young and stupid" comes to mind. This thing survived life on the road running my (year 2000) desktop PC with the big old monitor until I could afford to buy a laptop. It survived the worst I could throw at it and the built in protections have done their job. Get some heavy duty wires for it and it will serve you well.

I purchased these to attach to the cables on an inverter for my truck. They are ok and did the job, but could probably use a little improvement. It has a very soft clamping mount to put your wire into and you're supposed to clamp down on the wire with the copper crimp, however the size of the crimp was pretty small and it's very soft so I felt it necessary to break out the soldering iron and make it a bit more industrial. Also, the clamp teeth are sort of cockeyed, but in reality it's more of an aesthetics issue and I don't think it would affect it's operation. The spring seems sturdy enough and I expect it will hold up for quite some time.

it serves the purpose, but the cord isnt long enough to reach from where i want my gps to hang from my windshield, so it not in my veiw while driving. i wished i knew how long it was before i purchased it. now i'll have to purchase a charger again and dang spend more money for longer charging cord. not to happy on length.

I'm not sure how long this will last. Had it on for nearly ten hours straight and never saw the battery bar on the iPod dip below full charge. I recently purchased the tunepower, even after reading the above reviews, as I do have firewire on my laptop, and, I have the ac wall charger (THAT COMES WITH YOUR IPOD WHEN YOU PURCHASE IT!) I have yet to test its full capability for holding a charge, but I have high hopes, as everyone who seems to have followed the instructions for this item, apparently gets good power from it. Read the instructions! They explain that if you plug your ipod into the tunepower (4gig and mini models) and it's internal battery is low, you will only get 4 or so hours from the tunepower, but your ipod will then be charged. Once again, read the instructions! And as for all the people complaining about the firewall charging, did you throw away your apple issued ac charger for your ipod, when you bought it? Or do you just not realise that it has a firewall port on it? And besides that, if for some reason you just never got an AC charger with your ipod. THE PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS CLEARLY STATE THAT IT REQUIRES A FIREWALL PORT ON YOUR COMPUTER, OR THE AC CHARGER THAT CAME WITH YOUR IPOD! Stop writing bad reviews for reasons that don't warrant a bad review!

Ok, so I ran my ipod mini using the tunepower for 5 hours, and the ipod battery is still full. Also, for 3 of those hours, I used my iTrip. The indicator light on the tunepower went red after about an hour and a half, but has stayed there since.

So, 5 hours, with 3 using iTrip. No bad. Will have to see if it makes 8 hours.

Great product! Remember to read the hardware/system requirements before purchasing!

I was just browsing around and thought I'd see what others thought of this item. I was expecting rave reviews from everyone. Man was I wrong.

I bought one of these about a year ago or more, and couldn't live without it. I work a 10 hour shift and my 4th Gen iPod (click wheel model with b/w lcd screen) would give out on me by about 6.5 hours. Using this, my power meter will barely drop below full after 10 hours of fairly high volume listening.

Belkin replaced my F8E464 Backup Battery Pack on warranty, after it failed, with the F8E490 TunePower. I routinely got more than 12 hours of video on my iPod using the F8E464, but I had to carry 4 AA PhotoLithium batteries, 4 spares, and the iPod recharger as well. I only do carry-on baggage on flights, and every ounce and cubic inch makes a difference considering all the gear I need to take. The TunePower offers at least 7 hours of video (with the iPod brightness turned down to about 20% this is more than adequate for in-flight viewing) before switching over to the iPod's batteries. More important, the TunePower with its charger makes for a more compact and lightweight solution than before eliminating the bulk and weight of 8 AA batteries and the iPod recharger. The ability to operate and charge both the TunePower and iPod from a single AC adapter is a benefit. The cradle is a good solution for packaging the TunePower and iPod together, and protects the power cable and jack. But, I have to take the iPod out of its protective case to use it because it offers no protection for the screen and click wheel. No big deal. Finally, the manual creates confusion about a FireWire recharging scheme there was no FireWire cable in the box, but I don't care: there's no FireWire jack on my laptop. Overall, I am very pleased with this Belkin product and think it is a real improvement over the earlier solution.

I love this transmitter! When I first got it, I was disappointed that it seemed like you could not transmit in the best frequency of 87.9, but then I figured it out:

To change it to international mode (with the frequency 87.9 and so forth) all you have to do is hold the preset button for about 15 seconds, and the US will start flashing. Then you just hit the plus or minus to change to international mode, and voila! You now have the much coveted 87.9 frequency!

Since this transmitter will always be usable for any future mp3 player that I can imagine, (they are all going to have to have headphone jacks, right?) this means:

-Will power the iPhone and I think it can serve as a charger for it too

-Long cord could connect to a back seat lighter, not just the front (nice for those of you who have a lighter/socket in the rear)

-Acceptible broadcast strength, plenty loud as long as the iPhone volume is set loud.

-Price is reasonable relative to others on the market

-Buttons are flush with the front, fewer accidental button presses like I had experienced with my other (obsolete) transmitter

-In addition to buttons that cycle through the presets, there's up/down buttons to fine tune stations

-Socket has green LED when ready, turns amber when charging signaling that you are actually getting power

This device works really well... IF you change it from US frequencies to International as explained by Random Bimms in another review of this product. (Thanks Random!!) I was having trouble finding a clear frequency in the D-FW area until I found the secret of setting it to 87.8 MHz. Too bad this tip isn't included in the instructions. With the USB charging connectivity, this is truly a universal transmitter/charger. Don't lock yourself into a unit that is dedicated to a particular brand/model... this one works with all of them that have a standard stereo headphone jack and USB charging.

It's great not having to have any batteries for the transmitter OR the MP3 player. Works fine despite crowded NYC airwaves. Only thing lacking is an on/off switch; I have to pull it out of the lighter socket to keep it from draining the car battery.

Does just as advertised. Except your MP3 player must be set to a high volume. I had trouble finding an unused frequency because I live in a giant urban area. I use 92.1, but as you go from city to city unused frequencies will change.

Wagan 300 Amp Battery Jumper

My husband is currently deployed, and I let his car sit too long and the battery died (oops). Well, we had been meaning to buy one of these for awhile now, because it's always good to have something like this and not have to rely on strangers. I decided that now was the perfect time to buy one. Especially since my husband's car was in the garage and I didn't feel like pushing it out in order to jump it.

The unit arrived in the mail and I plugged it into the wall and charged it for 24 hours. It notes that you shouldn't charge it for more than 48 hours, because it can get overcharged and break. It was neat to note that it has slots for plugging in other devices and even a USB port. I suppose in chase you lose power, you could use this to charge a cell phone or something. Also has a flash light on the front, which helps if you're needing to use this on the side of the road one night.

Well, I have never jump started a car before... never even seen someone do it. I read over the instructions, checked my vehicle's owners manual, just to make sure that my car battery was "negative grounded", and then attached the red positive cable to the positive part of the battery, and the black cable to a metal bolt on the car. It did spark when I attached the black cable, which was a little scary for me. The instructions said to leave attached for 3-4 minutes. I left it on for about 15, because my friend said that whenever she's used something like this, they'd leave it attached for maybe 30 minutes. So, after 15 minutes, I went to turn the car on, and voila! It started! I then disconnected the cables, negative first, then positive.

So, basically I love this thing. It's really quite small, about the size of a lunch box. It's comforting to know that I can keep this in the trunk of my car, and if I needed a jump, I could take care of it myself. Especially living in Washington state, driving between Spokane and Seattle, my husband and I find ourselves in the middle of nowhere with no cell phone reception quite frequently. What a life saver it is!

had this a little while now and today got to use the jumper on a friends truck and it worked perfectly. charged it up when i got it and played with the compressor and it worked fine. had not recharged it in about a month and used the jumper today, it worked good. i am satisfied with it. had several that were bigger than this one and they did not work as good.

Needed to use jumper for the first time 6 months after I bought it. Went to put on positive clamp (made of plastic) and it broke in two at the hinge such that it could no longer clamp onto anything. Luckily I was at home and used a woodworking clamp to attach the jumper clamp to the battery. Car did start fine. It turned out my car had developed some type of power drain while the car was turned off, so I ended up using the jumper a few times like this before I was finally able to get the drain problem fixed. As long as I kept the jumper charged it did jump my battery just fine. 1 year warrany requires me to pay to ship unit back to manufacturer too much money considering the cost of the jumper. I originally bought the jumper for my boat in case I had a problem on the water. But as best I can tell from the pictures at their web site, it looks like all the similar Wagan jumpers all have plastic clamps. I can't afford to worry that my jumper might break again when I need it. I'm going to find a jumper with metal clamps.

I live on a college campus, so most everything is within walking distance for me. Add to that the fact that I'm a total shut-in, and that means my car can just sit there in the parking lot for weeks at a time. Not surprisingly, the battery is often dead.

I bought this gadget so that I can jump start my car, figuring the battery would get charged while I'm driving anyway. It works quite well. Lets me start my car two or maybe even three times before it gives out. But that's the thing: after three times you have to charge it again because it's already drained. I can still operate the electronics and lights on my car while it's hooked up, but it doesn't have the juice to actually jump start it.

You're probably better off getting one of the bigger models so that you have more than a few shots before you need to recharge. It takes about 30 hours to recharge fully according to the manual, so if you're out of juice, you're done for the day pretty much. I think that's just a general limitation of batteries and power sockets, and not the model itself, though. But it's just easier to charge once for say 60 hours and know that you have more than a couple shots.

Besides that, this unit is solidly built. I'm not afraid of accidentally breaking it. The jumper cables are very solid and long enough to easily reach the battery. The air compressor is a nice touch. When you're on the road, it's more likely you'll get a flat tire than have your car battery die. You can also charge USB devices through this, but it's hard to imagine when you'd need to.

All in all it's great, but you might want a bigger model if you have a bigger car. Mine's a Hyundai Elantra and this thing can barely jump start it (but it does it!).

Both my and my friend's car batteries died due to the cold this past week. Admittedly, we had both been gone for thanksgiving break and had not driven them in a week or so, so they were totally dead (not turning over at all). I got this off Amazon, and I figured it would do the trick. I charged it the full 48 hours, and put it on my car for 10-15 minutes and while the lights turned on and the radio did too, the car didn't come close to turning over. I tried multiple times to no avail. Same thing with my roommate we ended up having to jump it the old fashioned way.

So, I will say, if your car is turning over but not enough to catch, I think this charger will do the trick and giving you the extra juice to start it up. However, if your battery is completely dead (not turning over at all) this charger will not start your car.

Schumacher SC-8000A Speedcharge Charger/Maintainer

The meter accuracy on the SC-800A was within 0.05 volts, and the charging algorithms appear to work well, although they are not described in the instructions.

I observed that the voltage was generally limited to 15.5 for regular, 16.0 for deep cycle, and 14.7 for AGM batteries. The 30 amp capability is in the form of a long timed pulse of about 2 minutes followed by 12 amps for a similar time period, then repeating until the voltage has risen enough that it isn't required. The amperage isn't constant, it tapers down to limit the voltage in typical CC/CV fashion, although the algorithm appears to actually be more complex. For instance, on a particular AGM battery it went to 15.5 volts near the end of the charge (95%) with current at about 1.5 amps for about 30 minutes and then stopped (completed). I suspect that this was an automatic attempt to condition the battery. A DieHard 71227 charger (Schumacher makes the DieHard 71227 charger) did the same thing. After three discharge cycles, it stoped doing the "high-voltage treatment". Also, in AGM mode it went to 15.5 volts briefly during one of the 40 amp cycles. First off, I would like to start by saying "I LOVE Motorola Products"! Right out of the box the T305 performed as advertised and best of all, I did not have to go to college and get a PHD in electronics to figure out how to setup and use the unit. I have read other reviews that complain about the T305 not being load enough and to them I say, YOU NEED HEARING AIDS! (LOL) If this unit were any louder, you would be able to hear it from the orbiting space station. Look folks, I drive a truck, a big Toyota 4x4 truck and with the radio blasting Toby Keith (The Angry American Song) along with the AC pumping out the cold air, I can STILL hear my calling party. As I was saying, can you hear me now? HECK YEAH!

I love this product so much that I sold 4 more units (Uh Motorola, are you reading this....need a salesperson?....HINT HINT HINT) to friends after each of them saw and heard what this tiny little box (about the size of a box of matches) can produce. If you are looking for a simple to use, LOUD and CLEAR little Bluetooth speaker, then look no further and hey, the price of admission is cheap given the other more expensive and COMPLEX to use options.

Sure it sounds great, have a bluetooth attached to your visor instead of your head, but the speakers are so quite, and the people on the other end of the line can't hear a word you're saying. I'm really disappointed with this product. I have used this speakerphone for some 6 months now. I have only charged it one time during that period. I don't use it very much as I don't drive very far often. But when I do drive, it does what it suppose to do. I have no problem hearing the person on the speakerphone and they seems to hear me as well fine. No complaints. Pick it up for a good price on Amazon for less than $30. Included a car charger and a wall charger as well.

After 10 days the blue light started flickering on and off. The unit would charge an iPhone only if both cords were inserted but not if both were actually being used. If I plugged an iPad into the other cord, I got an error message that charging was not supported with this device. If I left the cord in and unplugged the iPad, it charged just fine. If I unplugged the 2nd cord I got the message again that charging isn't supported.

The best thing about this charger is the price. I am not out much.
