I purchased two of these as spares for my iPhone 4 and my original iPad. They do look and feel just like the original Apple ones, but neither of them worked at all. Plugged them in to the wall, attached to my device NOTHING. Did not charge, did not show the "This Device is Not Made for an iPhone" message nothing. I did try the cable with my factory block and it worked, so it is the power block itself. Even worse, the company offers free shipping, but upon returning the devices they charge $3 EACH for shipping (deducted from return). I would stay away at all costs.

This says it is an OEM Apple product. It is not, there is nothing on either piece that says Apple or has the Apple logo. It also claims to work on 3rd Gen iPod touches. It does not. The message comes up that the device will not charge. Someone should be able to remove lying items from Amazon.

The first thing I did when this POS arrived was compare it to the one that came with my wife's iPhone to see if it was legit. And the first thing I noticed was that instead of it being "Made by Apple", is was "Made by Abble"! Even the copyright notice was Abble instead of Apple. Then, the flippen USB doesn't even sit flush in the port. It sticks out! Horrible...buy the best and eff the rest.

I bought this dock/holder to replace one used for an iPhone 4 that was not compatible with an iPhone 5. So far the dock has worked just fine. It holds the phone in a stable position and has never rotated in the power outlet. It is a bother to have to attach two cables (power and audio) when using the phone but that can be blamed on Apple for changing the power connector.

I use this to hold my IPhone5. It fits! The slide adjustment is easy to work. The holder is strong and does not make me feel like my phone is going to be tossed around on a bumpy road. I have not used the power aspect of the unit, so I cannot rate its ability to re-charge the phone. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a good car phone holder.

PowerFilm AA Foldable Solar Charger

This charger does exactly what they say it does. It charges batteries using sunlight, even indirect sunlight. They must have changed their design slightly since the earlier reviews because mine came with a charge indicator to tell you when the charge is complete. It also has overcharge protection built in so you can leave batteries in the holder as long as you want.

The whole thing folds up into a package slightly larger than the 4 cell battery compartment. It weighs about as much as the batteries. With 4 x AA batteries installed it weighs about 8 ounces. It has arrangements for hanging it from a pack by lanyards, so you can charge on the go while you hike. This, combined with the light weight and small size make it an ideal source of electricity for back country backpacking.

Be aware that it only charges AA batteries. You can't plug in your laptop or your blackberry...or even AAA batteries, so plan accordingly. Mine charges AA batteries very quickly. They say that 4 hours of fairly bright sunlight will fully charge 2 AA batteries and 8 hours is supposed to charge 4 AA fully. Since I don't ever run my batteries down that low, I can't vouch for these times, but it will top off a partially drained battery in about an hour. Even on a cloudy day, it can top off 2 batteries in less than 2 hours. That is comparable to any AC charger I have ever used.

It uses a thin film photovoltaic array, so it's flexible. This is both good and bad. The thin film is much cheaper, less prone to crush damage and folds up smaller, but it's probably only good for about 5 years use, roughly 1/4 of the life span of more expensive cells. This time limit only applies to the time actually spent in the sun. The clock stops whenever it is stored in darkness, so if used only for camping or other outdoor or emergency use, it should last pretty much forever.

This is not supposed to be an outdoor solar panel to mount on your roof. It's a very tiny charger for emergency power (or camping). If you take it for what it is, this is a great product.

I purchased this charger in case of long term power outage (earthquake, ice storm, nuclear war, cap and trade-caused blackouts), with the intention of always having light by recharging AA batteries and using them in LED flashlights and lanterns.

I used this charger on Oct. 24 on a sunny day in central Illinois, on a pair of partially discharged NiMh 2400 maH batteries that read 1.2 volts. The charger brought them up to 1.36 volts quickly and showed them as fully charged. Impressed, I decided to purposely discharge a pair of AAs by running them in an incandescent flashlight. One battery read 0 volts and the other was at 1.0 volts and the filament of the bulb was just barely showing a red glow when I put them in the charger. The charger accurately diagnosed them as very low and started recharging them in a trickle mode. One trip to Walmart later, (1-2 hours total charge time) and both batteries were right at 1.36 V. I also ran a separate 4-pack of partially discharged batteries and they were charged fully in 1 hour.

Based on this small experience sample, I am very happy with this product, as it surpassed the charging times on the box on a sunny day, even in late fall, with the sun very low in the sky at mid-day.

I also feel the build quality of the product is high, based on first impressions only.

This charger is also very small, folding up into a box smaller and thinner than I expected. It also comes with a 4-pack of the excellent low-discharge Sanyo Eneloop batteries, which are a $8-10 dollar value.

It also has grommets to make it easy to use string or cord to affix it to a backpack or tie it down in windy conditions. I am planning on making a set of copper wire supports that can be used like tent stakes to hold this charger in place on flat ground or to prop it up to get true perpendicularity to the sun to maximize the energy capture.

In summary, I love this charger and highly recommend it.

I recently purchased this charger's cousin, the Powerfilm USB / AA Solar Charger, and was so impressed with that one that I decided to get this one, too. I was not disappointed; this one is just as high quality as the USB version, only it trades 2 AAs for a USB charging device. These are without a doubt the best small AA-type chargers I have ever used (I've been though about a half dozen). These are ideal for either power outages of those trips in the wild where you will be without civilization for awhile. Truly wallet-sized, yet can keep your AAs going until they finally die on you.

Been into Solar Chargers for the past 6 months. Interest in solar charges grew from wanting to be prepared for emergencies. The electronic devices that I have are powered through AA, AAA, and USB sources. Therefore, my focus was on finding a solar charger that can power one or any combination of the three. This is the review of the PowerFilm AA Battery Solar Panel Charger.

I was hopeful for this solar charger would be able to charge AA batteries. On the positive side, this charger did appear to have some ability to charge certain AA batteries with a significant charge. The panels and nylon material appear well made. Overall, this is a very lightweight and compact set up. In addition, there are two red LED lights that indicate a full-charge with a constant on, charging with a single blink, and indicates an empty charger or low battery with a quick two-blink sequence.

Unfortunately, the charger did not work with a lot of my Sanyo Eneloop LSD, Energizer NiMH, and Duracell NiMH. I tried troubleshooting by using both newer and older batteries, charging two batteries at a time versus four at a time, using the three different brands mentioned, using the solar charger during peak hours in direct sun and also indirect sunlight, charging for two-days in a row to ensure enough charge time, and switching between any of the four AA slots on the charger. Most of the batteries would result in a quick two-blink (empty charger or low battery) no matter the arrangement or length of time in the charger.

Of the batteries that were accepted by the charger (couple of Eneloops and four of my Energizer NiMH AA batteries), those batteries never fully charged. I tried leaving the batteries in for two days of sunlight, but it made no difference. I compared the charge on the batteries to ones that were charged by my Sanyo Eneloop USB AA/AAA charger and Energizer Charger. The Sanyo Eneloop and Energizer chargers resulted in batteries with a full charge, while this PowerFilm charger left the batteries approximately 70 percent charged at best.

Overall, I rate this PowerFilm AA Battery Solar Panel Charger a 2.0 out of 5.0 stars. It got two stars for what appears to be good build quality built into a compact and lightweight design. It did charge some of the AA batteries, but I could not make any distinctions on what characteristics made it possible to charge the AA batteries that it did. Still, the batteries that could be charged, were not able to charge completely. The lack of overall and dependable function is the reason why I docked 3 stars. I wanted to like this charger, but it was a disappointment. Perhaps I got a defective unit. I will continue to seek a dependable, compact, lightweight, and durable source of solar power.

I am truly amazed. This is one of the fastest solar AA battery chargers I've ever owned. There are 2 charging indicator lights on the back of the battery compartment, so you can charge 2 or 4 batteries at a time and know the charging status of each pair. There's no USB connector on this model but if you combine this item with the Tekkeon TekCharge Mobile Power and Battery Charger, you can charge almost anything with it. (Powerfilm also makes a 2 battery/USB version of this product but I've found that it is not powerful enough to charge my 4th generation iPod Touch. The 2 battery version also has only 5 solar panels as opposed to the 6 on this unit.)

Charging is pretty straightforward. The two LED indicator lights have three states: a fast, faint blinking shows that sunlight is available but is not strong enough to activate the charging circuit. A steady once per second blink shows that the batteries in that section are charging. It doesn't take much light: I was able to activate the charger under a 60 watt light bulb (of course, full sunlight will work much faster). A steady light shows full battery charge. The LED's are quite bright, even in full daylight. I was able to charge 4 significantly-drained batteries in less than 4 hours. Completely dead batteries will take around 6 hours. Combine this item with the TekCharger and an extra 4 batteries and you'll be able to get your iPod and cell phone off the grid completely.

I have many different vehicles and pieces of motorized equipment. Everything from a 50 ft long motor home with 4 engine starting batteries, to four Harley Davidson motorcycles. The common thread is that they all sit for extended periods of time, and they all have expensive batteries. This is a great product for protecting your batteries. I have used it for years on my TransAm, which I rarely drive, and my motorcycle. Motorcycle batteries usually last 4 6 years. Amazon's dimension specs for this say that it is almost double the size that it is. The actual correct dimensions are 5.2" L x 5.0" W x 2.0" H. The weight appears to be correct. This error can make a BIG difference if you are planning out the space for it before it arrives.

As far as the product itself goes, nothing but positive things to say. I know several people who use these regularly as well for classic cars that sit in storage and they all rave about them as well. I have been using to charge a marine deep cycle battery that I use to power a power-box for my telescope and equipment. It has worked perfectly and does an excellent job charging and keeping a charge on this when not in use.

I've used Deltran chargers before and they've always been a solid product. However, the discrepancies between their marketing literature and their instruction booklet, and the general way the instruction booklet is written, means that I can only give them a 4 star rating. Their website states, "any capacity lead acid battery." While the instruction booklet states "designed for six-cell. . . 1.2-200Ah," lead acid batteries. Not a big deal for most, but if you're looking for something to charge batteries in parallel (such as in a diesel truck or marine batteries), it would be good to know which info is correct. Which brings me to my next point. There's nothing in the official literature about using this particular charger to charge more than one battery at a time. I can only guess that if the voltage matches and the amps aren't exceeded, it should do just fine. Another issue is that the instructions only give the steps for hooking-up the alligator clips to the battery, however this unit doesn't come with the clips, just the quick-disconnect ring terminals. It would also be beneficial if they matched-up the marketing and instruction booklet technical specs to battery manufacturer specs. So, if the battery manufacturer recommends a max float charge of x, then state what the float charge of the charger is. This is a well built charger and deserves well written literature to go with it.

I truly do leave this and never worry about it running out of power.

I would give five stars if the display contract could be changed; otherwise it has (after five months) been a good reliable bluetooth speakerphone.

It's a nice device, if your phone will stay connected. My Scosche disconnects from my iPhone after about 20 minutes, every time. Since it would not stay connected, I returned it for a replacement. Along with the defect, my first Scosche came without the windshield mount... completely sketchy. The replacement has the exact same connection issue, but at least it came the windshield mount. My friend also has one identical to mine and he never has trouble with his. I am certain it is not my iPhone either, because it will stay connected to my friend's Scosche without trouble. As well, I have had my iPhone replaced under warranty while owning this product, and the replacement phone has the same connection issue with this device. It's just sits in my car unable to be used. I have yet to send it into Scosche since it is under the manufactures warranty, but I will soon. If I knew the product would have been this much of a hassle, I wouldn't have ordered it. I've done the master reset on the device many times, and even gone as far as re-installing the OS on my phone, and it still it disconnects my phone after about 20 minutes. Also, if you happen to be talking with another person who is using a Scosche, then the audio is rather poor. If my friend and I talk to each other while using our Scosche's, we can barely hear each other. I wish I had never spent $60 on this device.

I have this Car DVR and I love it. However, mine may be a newer model as it is MP4 format not AVI so it is compatible with any computer system (you never know what the cops [or Youtube] might need). The only problem I have had with it is the adhesive on the rear camera is not too good and it falls off. But that's a minor issue.

If you get this machine, DO NOT LOSE THE INSTRUCTIONS! You will use them over and over again as you may randomly decide to change features (it has a LOT).

The video quality out of both cameras is excellent from dawn to dusk. Night vision is mediocre but definitely usable. Its better than my iPhone video at night.

It comes with two mounts -an articulating mount and one that just sticks to the windshield. I'm using the one that is flat on the windshield. My windshield has a severe angle so I can't really see the screen very well. With the articulating arm you can see the screen well but the screen is so small I'm not sure its of any consequence -especially if you are using the PIP with the rear camera.

The DVR creates two folders on the SIM. One for the front camera and one for the rear. If there should be a "collision" it will add two more folders automatically that are not erased when the chip fills up. Video during the accident is put in those folders. It only plays for a few minutes on the built-in battery but if your car loses power from an accident it should be sufficient.

I would definitely recommend the MP4 version.

After having (briefly) owned two failed units from different companies I'd gotten through eBay, I had my hopes on this one functioning as advertised reasonably low.

However, upon unpacking, it felt well-made, had a nice look, fit and finish to it. Already more impressive than the previous two. Installation was very easy, straight forward and there is plenty of cord to not only span but also tuck away within one of the longest production saloons ever built.

First use was done with an old 2GB card I had from a mobile phone, not the ideal size but it worked for the test run. The video is where I expected it to be after watching hours of Russian dashboard camera videos of all sorts of mischief with the bonus of covering front and rear of your vehicle.

The files are stored on the card as DCIMA and DCIMB for the front and rear respectively. I can't get the rear video to mirror on the camera itself (the image is vertically inverted) but having video editing software available, this isn't an issue for me.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the camera and the results it produces. Since my car appears to attract an unusually high number of moron motorists, it's nice to know that their incapabilities are recorded and can be used against them in the worst case, in the best case to make fun of them with my friends.

Quite likely that I'll order more for other vehicles too.

Reviewed the product specs and it did not mention G-Sensor or microSD card. Emailed seller and they said no G-Sensor on product and no microSD support. However, picture on Amazon shows small memory slot which means microSD. Ordered/received product within 3 days.

Here is the rundown:

Unit powered up in Chinese. There was no upfront welcome screen to select the language.

Spent 20 min flipping thru Chinese menus looking for "language". With trial/error, finally set it to English

Dashcam has G-Sensor and only supports microSD card Amazon, please fix website and seller needs to know specs.

G-Sensor works OK. Test it by shaking the dashcam while recording. You'll see a lock symbol on screen, and the video file in the "LOCKED" directory on memory card

Saved video files are .MOV. Product description says .AVI.

Color was horrible on video playback/ Pink shows up as dark blue. Changed "Color" setting in menu to NULL. This fixed color issue. Also, traffic light color now shows correctly

VGA mode works very clear. 720 Mode appears to be OK, but I am happy with VGA.

Video file size is 15MB/min for VGA, and 53MB/min for 720 mode

Unit powers up automatically upon ignition start and stops on ignition off. Menu setting allows further recording after poweroff

Very compact unit that nicely sits behind the rear view mirror. Easy to slide on/off the suction cup mount.

Secondary camera kinda works. When enabled, it creates a PIP on the main LCD screen. If your PIP is upside down, just rotate the secondary camera 180 degrees. However, this causes a problem in that when you view playback, video is inverted. Left/right is flipped flopped. bad design.

Powerplug that inserts into the cigarette lighter socket does not fit well, causes random power loss to dashcam.

Looping works fine, I use 1 and 2 minutes, and it does what it is supposed to.

Night time driving with street lights/headlights is fine. You can see enough.

Audio picks up all noises

Overall, very happy with unit; accomplishes what I want it to do. Can't fully test 720P yet because I only have a older slow 1GB microSD card to test with. Will get 32GB this week. But don't 'really care too much since VGA is fine.

It is lightweight, compact, and very reliable. Not too bad for $70.00.

Will probably return it and reorder to address power plug issue. Will also get a 2nd unit for other car.

(had previously ordered the "$20 dashcam, and as you know, you get what you pay for got refund on that)

Update 6/2/13:

Keeping the unit since it works fine. Don't care about power plug problem anymore, whereas I am using my Garmin USB cable to power up the dashcam. I like this dashcam model a lot, so I ordered a second unit. But this time, I ordered from another seller (fulfillment by Amazon). This second unit is identical to the first except it now has: 1. New firmware 2. Remote control 3. 1080P.

Regardless, the VGA recordings still work the same as the first unit. No need for the extra features. (1080P is not real. playback just shows magnified objects).

Here is what makes this camera useless to me:

Only a fraction of video clips would properly write to the card. (Yes, I formatted the card to the camera) So essentially, tons of clips were lost. As it happens, I never got to see any of the clips I wanted because those happened to be the very ones that did not write. I'm concerned that this camera would actually be a DETRIMENT to have in an accident. What if fault could not be proven and I have to tell the cop/court ... "uh, the camera didn't record that time"?

Also, the camera is supposed to write over the oldest files but if I allowed it to do that, the video was useless (played 2 seconds, froze 15 seconds, etc). I had to manually delete the old files to achieve viewability.

After a couple weeks, the power cord no longer worked. So I used the USB cable. This initially worked for a few days, then worked unreliably, then stopped working all together.

The rear camera video displayed annoying bright pink artifacts. More notably, after 1-2 weeks of use, the rear camera suddenly got totally blurry. So much that it was useless.

Additionally, I was annoyed that the company info says they are in Washington (state) -that is a lie -they are actually operating from China. I paid for "ground shipping" which promised 3 5 day transit BUT it came from china and so took quite a lot longer. (Amazon gave me a $9 credit for that -thank you Amazon) Not only did it come from China, but it went from China to New York, then was repackaged in New York and finally sent to California.

When I received the camera and had a look through the manual. On it was written: "Thank you for purchasing a camera from our company" "Our company"?! Apparently I had fished a camera out of the abyss of chinese fakes :(

Revised review. Not the quality of video I expected, but acceptable when it actually worked. I has constant problems with the screen and controls "freezing up". Within one month, I returned the item back to China (literally). At least I picked a vendor on Amazon with excellent customer service that issued a full refund and provided a return shipping label. But I still have a 100% failure rate on all dash video camera's I've purchased that are made outside the United States and affordable.

My Dell M6600 laptop comes with a 240 watt power adapter. I realize one must over-spec when purchasing modified sine wave inverters, such as this, because devices tend to use more current than when connected to the power company's pure sine wave that they are designed to use, how much more, depends on the type of load. I cannot say with any certainty if this device delivers 325 watts continuously, since wattage measuring devices are also designed to use pure sine wave. I do know this device cannot run laptop with a 240 watt power adapter, fully charged battery, medium screen intensity, at idle, for more than 5 minutes. Perhaps I need to spec 480 watts? One must take into consideration this factor when calculating the price differential between pure sine and modified sine wave devices.

This is the second modified sine wave inverter I've had. The first one had capacity problems too, and later burned up. (different brand) I hate spending the money but I think I'm just kidding myself to think things will be better with another modified sine wave inverter. I also tried a modified sine UPS on a server once and that was a disaster too. With the mix of load types out there, it would be impossible to calculate how much larger one needs to go with modified sine devices. Considering the electrical noise, things such as dimmers, and variable speed devices that won't work, and the risk of burning things up, I think I'll just go with a pure sine wave device. Then I can simply add up the ratings of the devices or the results of a kill-a-watt meter to know what it can, and cannot handle. Another big advantage with pure sine devices is they can typically double their output for a short period of time. This enables them to start electric motors, which in turn also allows you to accomplish the same tasks with a much smaller unit.

Judging by reviews and prices, it appears Xantrex pure sine wave inverters have the best bang for the buck when I take into consideration that they don't overstate their output, and are reliable.

Now I just need to determine which size. At first I was thinking about getting a larger one, and when the power goes out, run a cord into the house from my SUV into the house to run the things, such as my printer, wireless, furnace, and a few lights. The problem with that is for the difference in price, I can buy a little generator, and a 105 Amp car alternator at idle only puts out ~50 amps, which would come out to ~500 watts. I also wouldn't be able to leave the house and keep the fridge and furnace going. I'll probably will go with the Xantrex PROWatt 600, and buy a used 2.5KW generator off Craigslist. That combo would take care of me on the road and at home.

I got mine in 2004 while trucking. Used it for everything from camping to travel. I have overloaded it, blown fuses, melted the plastic around the lighter socket adapter tip, used it in the rain with only a plastic shopping bag protecting it.... Probably not so great for ventilation. Yes looking back on it now "young and stupid" comes to mind. This thing survived life on the road running my (year 2000) desktop PC with the big old monitor until I could afford to buy a laptop. It survived the worst I could throw at it and the built in protections have done their job. Get some heavy duty wires for it and it will serve you well.

The only down side to the boombox is that there is no carrying handle. There is a place to put one's hand, but it is not conducive to carrying. I tried this so I could use my iPhone's FM transmitter/holder and my GPS at the same time powered to the car's socket. What a great idea. But this particular design was not capable of staying in the charging socket. It kept backing out on its own. The company very promptly sent me a replacement, but the replacement did the same. I drive a Subaru Forester, and I think it's socket would be the same as other manufacturer's, but nonetheless, I could not keep it in the socket. Gave up and bought another type.

While this Twin Car 12V socket adapter works OK, there is NO fuse protection (I took it apart and there is NO fuse in it). Also, there is a warning label on the adapter that says "No Cigarette Lighting, Max of 2.5 amps for using both devices".

I've used this for a couple of weeks now so I could power my GPS at the same time I was listening to my satellite radio. For the most part, this works fine. The one problem that I've had a few times is that one of the 2 items plugged in may not be drawing power. Sometimes the connection seems loose, although I've never had a problem with the adapter coming loose from the socket itself. While it's not perfect, it gets the job done for me.

It also has a light up bar that lets you know when your battery is fully charged by turning blue.

Ordered it, received it, tried it, and it only charges the batteries bf5x and bf6x to 50%. Shame, could have been useful.

Price was great, but I guess you get what you pay for. This charger is supposed to charge your Droid battery by either inserting the battery in the cradle or by using your USB cable connected to your phone. The label on the charger states that the cradle will charge at 4.2Vdc and 300ma. The USB output is rated at 5.2Vdc and 500ma. Given these stated specifications either charging method should be sufficient to charge the 3.7Vdc DROID battery. Given these ratings the desktop charger should fully charge a 1500maH battery in the cradle within 5 hours. However, I have found that after charging all night (8-10hours) the battery is not fully charged (charged to about 90%), even though the charging light has changed from red (charging) to blue (charged). A quick voltage measurement at the cradle terminals found only 3.8Vdc (unloaded), not the specified 4.2Vdc. I purchased two of these chargers and both perform in the same manner with new Motorola batteries. I do not recommend this product.

You may find cheaper MPPT charge controllers on Amazon but read the specs and the reviews carefully. Some are ordinary controllers that somehow have been allowed to be advertised as MPPT. This one does what it says and is great for small scale experimental solar projects like the one I'm building. I especially wanted one with a display to easily monitor the parameters and what was going into the batteries without having to be measuring with my multimeter all the time. With the proper gauge wire, fuses etc. this unit (fed by a 100W monocrystalline panel which was doubled to 200W last night) keeps 180aH of batteries charged after an overnight drain running my multiple-tank aquarium set-up (25-125W, 0.25 1.7A draw through a pure sine wave inverter). My old PWM controller used to choke during peak hours (10am 2pm) and default to float mode here in the tropics (10 degrees north latitude). The Tracer keeps going all day and harvesting all the power that the other charge controller just wasted even with the efficiency drop due to panel heating.

If you've been fooling around with solar power long enough like me, this one was a breeze to set up. My only regret was not getting the larger 30A unit but I am gaining enough data to spec out a much larger system. MPPT is the way to go even with "low powered" systems like mine. I've read some comments suggesting MPPT is more useful for over 400W but for my situation with low loads, high solar intensity, high temperatures, overcast but bright, light to heavy rain about mid day to cool panels and other tropical features, this is the sweet spot for MPPT.

In my opinion this is the best value MPPT charge controller on the market! Substantial quality construction and works as advertised.

I'm running solar panels for my camping trailer. A lot of blogging and youtube got me to buy the MPPT Tracer. Its a must have along with a MPPT controller. I have had it for over two months and it is will worth it, it takes all the wondering and guess work out. You can see what the battery % if when full, how much volts are going in and coming out when the panels are charging + more. It's very easy to use and install but the sound quality is horrible. Always hear static no matter which station I tune to. When I receive a call I can hardly hear it even on max volume in the car. They can hear me well, but I can hardly hear them. For the cost I suppose you pay for what you get, but I would rather have skipped this purchase and paid more for quality. Even when the volume on my radio and phone is on max the music is not as loud as it should be. Just overall a bad quality of sound playback on this item.

However, in my little car it tended to obsessionally tip over on one side.

Also, The static you hear when you are listening to your mp3 songs can get annoying but it's somewhat difficult to change the station because the placement of the station display is at the top of the thing and you can't see it without taking your eyes off the road longer than I, at least, am comfortable with.

The hands free talking feature is very cool and works well but listening to music is not a great experience. It just depends what you value most. I do use it enough to not have sent it back but I don't use it as much as I thought I would.

Ok, hopefully I have done something wrong in installing this unit, because no one else talks about the fact that the unit is top heavy with the Blackberry in it. If I turn a corner, the unit itself turns around. I am very disappointed at the asethetics of this unit. Any suggestions? I haven't bothered with the FM transmission thing. Sounds like a good idea, but the thing is a hinderence when it is flopping around like a fish. It is difficult to keep the unit upright, and the flexible tube is awkward to bend. At this point, I would rather have a unit that securely holds the Blackberry. I don't care if it charges it or has the call through the radio. Have emailed the manufacturer, but have heard nothing. Going to look into returning this. Too aggervating fo me!

This product works great with my Verizon Moto Droid. I'm able to listen to music, podcasts, and Google Navigation through my car audio system. Since there is nothing currently specifically marketed for the Droid, I figured this would work since it has the connections I need. I tested the hands-free feature and that works so well that the people on the other end did not know they were on speakerphone. The audio quality is as good as one could expect from a radio transmitter. I'm not sure about the durability of the spine in the long run, but for now, it's up to the task of holding up my (relatively heavy) Droid. Since this is a universal product, the placing of the ports isn't ideal for my particular phone. The audio cord comes from the bottom up to connect to the top of my phone, and the USB input is on the wrong side. This presents a bit of a cable management challenge. However, I knew this going in, so it was not a surprise.

I was a little worried that the USB charger would not work since I've had products fail to charge via USB before, but this is able to seamlessly charge my Droid via the provided Micro-USB.

Overall, though not overly elegant, this is a fine product to suit my needs.

Motorola MicroUSB High Performance Loop Car charger (SPN5400)

I got this for my RAZR 2 (v9m) which uses the micro USB. My wife has the original RAZR which uses the slightly larger mini USB. Why on earth they can't make a dual-ended one of these is beyond me so I end up with 2 different chargers in both cars. Obviously you can use an adapter, but it's still easy to lose or try to hook up while you are driving.

It's a charger, it seems to be built well. The rounded end is both blessing and curse as it's large and easy to handle, but can get in the way unnecessarily. The bright blue LED light circular M logo is nice. I always hated when an older charger had a red or amber light that was almost invisible in the daytime so you never knew if it was plugged all the way in or not.

I can't really knock it for not having both connectors, can I? I'm knocking off a star for being a bit on the bulky side compared to other chargers I've had. But the price is pretty reasonable. I'd give it 5 stars if it had a dual end I guess I'm going to find some adapters and zip tie them to the cable so they don't get lost under the seat carrying around all that unwieldy cable in the car gets to be a pain.

Nice long cord so you can talk on phone while charging without leaning over. The Blue Light that illuminates is fine (not too bright). Would recommend this car charger.
