PowerGen 2.4Amps / 12W Dual USB Car charger Designed for Apple and Android Devices - White
1. While it's description claims it has a 2 Amp port and a 1 Amp port, the reality is that it has bridged the two ports and it can only source 2 Amps total. It is not capable of delivering 3 Amps combined like the description implicitly claims and could never simultaneously charge an iPad and a smart phone. (UPDATE: The technical details section now indicates more clearly the 2A total, which is appreciated.)
2. The 2 Amp port appears to be using the Apple protocol for USB power, so that port will only provide 0.5 Amps to most other devices.
The upside of this is the 1 Amp port somewhat over delivers, and can source 2 Amps if nothing else is connected and 1.5 Amps if the 2 Amp port is sourcing 0.5 Amps for a non-Apple device. Thus this product can support one-high power non-Apple device (in the 1 Amp port) and one lower power device (in the 2 Amp port).
Now some more background/details...
First, a little background on USB charging for those who don't know:
The USB power spec is for 0.5 Amps at 5 Volts... or 2.5 Watts. This was great up until the last couple years when devices have gotten really power hungry, particularly smartphones and tablets and to a lesser extent dedicated GPS's. Some of these devices use over 2 Amps, particularly the tablets like the iPad (or in my case the HP Touchpad).
Manufacturers of these devices therefore had a dilemma. If they had their devices pull more than 0.5 Amps, they risked damaging the power source, which could be a computer, that was only prepared to source 0.5 Amps. Thus the manufacturers have used tricks to determine whether their device is connected to an unknown source, at which point they purposely only draw 0.5 Amps, or to the dedicated charger that was provided with the device, where they can draw all the power they need.
There seem to be two common tricks used. The first is to short the two data-wires together in the charger. This is what most non-Apple devices do. Since a computer or older device wouldn't have done this, the device can assume it is safe to draw all the power it needs.
Apple seems to have taken a different approach, one that I don't fully understand but know can be seen by the fact that the data lines are neither open nor shorted when the charger is plugged in, and is more sophisticated and probably superior, because I suspect it allows the device to know exactly how much power it can use.
While Apple taking a better approach might be nice in concept, it's created chaos in the USB charger product category. What is the non-specific charger to do? They can't support both.
This device chose to go the Apple route for the 2 Amp port. I don't own any high-power Apple devices, so I can't say for sure, but I suspect this unit performs well with Apple devices. Using electronic equipment I was able to draw 2 Amps when putting a fixed load on this USB charging port. However, when I connect any of the 3 high-power devices I have (HP Touchpad (2 Amps), Motorola Triumph Android phone (0.85 Amps) and the LG Optimus Slider (0.7 Amps)), none of them drew all the current they could have, because they were expecting a shorted set of data-lines.
Luckily for my purposes, the 1 Amp port on this device uses the data-line shorting method. As such, it was able to deliver all the power my Triumph and Optimus wanted. However, for some reason, even when it was the only device connected, it would not fully charge the HP Touchpad at the 2 Amps it could have, because for one reason or another, the HP Touchpad rejected it as a high power charger.
To be honest, this surprised me because it was able to source the 2 Amps the Touchpad claims it needs and the HP Touchpad charger has the data-lines shorted. So I'm not sure why this didn't work.
Thus this device gets 3 stars (UDPATE: 4 stars) because it can source the current it claims (minus the somewhat deceptive 2A + 1A notation (UPDATE: Which is now more clear in the technical details)), would likely support an iPad like it claims, but falls short in other regards noted elsewhere.
For non-Apple users, or even more so mixed users (say an iPad and an Android phone?) this device is superior to the other device I purchased, the "Kensington K33497US PowerBolt Duo Car Charger" (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003PU01M4/ref=oh_o02_s00_i00_details) because on that device, NEITHER port works with non-Apple devices (although it performed better power-wise, see my review over there for details).
I've ordered two additional devices:
"Ultra Compact High Output Dual USB Car Charger 2.1A Output" (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00470C35E/ref=oh_o01_s00_i00_details)
"Bracketron Universal Dual USB Car Adapter (UGC-298-BL)" (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0056VNVV8/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details)
Hopefully one of the two of them will be able to deliver to their specs for my devices.
UPDATE: I've increased my review to 4 stars for two reasons:
1. The changed technical details text makes it more clear its total power capacity.
2. Of the 4 models I purchased, it's one of the two I kept and it's the only one I kept in unmodified form. That's got to count for something. :).

Apple and Non-Apple Devices -
Apple devices use their own method to decide charging speed. A designed-for-Apple charger may provide slower charging for non-Apple devices, and vice versa. For details, see K. Crawford's review: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1BSQFGYMS2DCH/ref=cm_cr_pr_perm?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00622AG6S (Apparently this charger can also fast-charge non-Apple smartphones and other 1 Amp devices using the 1A port.)
Pricing -
Usually 10 bucks, it sometimes drops to 8.
Notes -
Note 1: I tested using a 2-month old iPhone 4S while on/locked. These iPhone results do not apply to other phones.

The contacts on this charger do not work at all with either of the power outlets in my 2007 Honda Accord EX-L. I have tried jiggling, rotating, wedging, reinserting, and every other motion I can think of to try to form a solid contact, but the most I've gotten is a couple of short blips from my iPhone indicating that it detects a power source; a moment later, the contact breaks and the phone no longer charges. This charger is absolutely unusable in my car. However, I put charger in my girlfriend's 2002 VW Beetle and it works perfectly. So I just let her keep it instead of dealing with return shipping, and I ordered the Kensington K33497US PowerBolt Duo for myself.
So 1 star for not working in my car (and not warning me about it before ordering), but since it works fine in another car and I'd probably give it 5 stars if it worked in mine, I'm averaging it to 3.it constantly comes loose from the car socket because of poor design (tip contact is too short and the side contacts are rounded). go for one of the cheap black ones with wider side contacts and what looks like a screw on tip.I bought two of these to use to charge our new iPhone 5's. They work great, charging about 1% or more for every one minute plugged in.

Heated Fleece Travel Electric Blanket - 12 Volt - Red Plaid
The blanket is a lovely, soft, snuggly fleece material. It is a cute black and red plaid. It is a larger size than some of the other electric travel blankets. The plug has a green light that shows you when it is plugged in and on. It is nice because it has an automatic shut off timer on the on/off switch. It does not instantly heat up, but most full sized electric blankets do not do this anyhow either. When the blanket gets going, it provides a wonderful noticeable heat.
The only downside is that it is not machine washable only spot clean. I did not find any of the travel electric blankets that were machine washable though, so this is pretty much par for the course. I think that you may be able to hand wash the blanket as long as the 12 volt plug is covered and kept out of the water (my opinion only of course). The only reason I think this is from my prior experience with traditional electric blankets. You can machine wash those blankets, but it is because the electric plug disconnects. These travel blankets don't have a plug that disconnects... therefore the direction to spot clean only.Love this product. Purchased as a christmas gift for two individuals in wheelchairs. It was the perfect gift. Keeps them warm while traveling without being to big and bulky. Heats up quickly to a comfortable temperature.

We live in the snow and drive 15 minutes to my kids bus stop. They LOVE these blankets. The only disappointment was that I ordered one in solid blue so the kids could tell theirs apart and it came in the red plaid like the other one I ordered. But it all turned out, my son was very happy to have a plaid one and when it is their turn to ride "shotgun" we don't have to switch blankets!!! Gee, they are learning to share!!!Read Best Reviews of Heated Fleece Travel Electric Blanket - 12 Volt - Red Plaid Here
So I bought this to use while I sleep in my camper when it is cold. Works great, but can only be ran for 30-45 mins! After that the timer shuts it off. Went back and read the product description says nothing about shutting off after 30-45 mins. Great for a car ride, bad for a sleeping blanket. Using a thermostat instead of a timer would have been better, I'll probably return.Want Heated Fleece Travel Electric Blanket - 12 Volt - Red Plaid Discount?
This takes 10 minutes to heat up, so don't think it's going to get warm quickly. If you have a need for this, like an older parent who gets very cold in the winter even on short drives, heat it up before you pick them up. It would be nice on a long trip, or if your driving partner likes it really cold in the car.Friday, June 13, 2014
Pyle PLMRMP3A 4-Channel Waterproof MP3/iPod Marine Power Amplifier
- Marine amplifier delivers 4 x 100 Watts RMS at 4 Ohms, 4 x 200 Watts Max at 4 Ohms, 4 x 300 Watts RMS at 2 Ohms
- Power protection circuitry with anti-thump turn-on and soft turn-off to protect your speakers
- Accepts RCA line inputs and includes a 3.5mm-to-RCA adaptor so you can plug in your MP3 player or iPod easily
- Also accepts standard high- and low-level inputs from marine head units
- Includes wired remote control for adjusting volume gain
This amp (like many other low end auto and motorcycle amps) is built on the Toshiba TA8210AHQ amplifier chip. In this case the amp has two chips with each servicing two channels. According to Toshiba this chip is rated at 22 watts per channel at 18 volts. At your average car voltage levels (12-14 or so) it will deliver less. There is no voltage boosting stage which would be required to anything deliver more than about 40 Watts bridged into 4 ohms and the TA8210 isn't rated for bridging anyway.
Note: The technical details posted on this unit as of 7/18/10 are also apparently for some other device. This unit has no AA batteries or USB connection.
Some other technical details are inaccurate: The documentation does not mention the unit as bridgable and the chip documentation doesn't either. It IS 2 ohm stable according to the Pyle documentation (a correction). Some elements are barely technically correct: The distortion is only correct at very low power levels and if the unit is providing 22w it is doing it at 10%THD. Frequency response is 20hz 20k not 10hz 20k
Net recommendation: A good unit for marine, motorcycles and where you don't have space. Not as good as it's specs, but most low end amps are using the exact same chip and circuit design with different housings anyway.

really works for me. i put this in my jeep with some cheap speakers. love the idea of not using a head unit. this amp is all you need (and an ipod). it has a seperate input and volume control. i mounted the amp inside the dash (theft proof), put the input in the console and the volume control high on the dash where it is easy to get to. works great for a low dollar anti-theft system.Read Best Reviews of Pyle PLMRMP3A 4-Channel Waterproof MP3/iPod Marine Power Amplifier Here

Bought this amp a couple weeks ago, installed in an ice chest boom box along with two Kicker KM 6000 speakers so far it works and sounds GREAT! I keep the gain set low and use the ipod to set the volume level It gets plenty loud...loud enough that others gather in close proximity on the beach to listen to my music! I really can't imagine needing anything any louder...and I love my music loud. This amp is perfect for a quick four speaker job. It spits out enough juice to really get some sound out of your speakers. I hooked this up the Pyle's PLMR6K (6.5" 200 watt speakers with seperate Tweeter) and PLMR692 (6x9 260 watt speakers). This Amp powers these speakers perfected and doesn't hold anything back. I highly recommend this product!Tuesday, June 10, 2014
Battery Tender 800 Waterproof 12V Battery Charger
The Battery Tender Waterproof Tender operates in essentially 3 stages. It first initiates an absorption charge that attempts to charge your battery to 14.5 VDC at up to 0.8A (or 800mA). This bit of information was not readily advertised, so I was concerned when I heard my battery making gurgling noises while the LED was "amber" for the past 8 hours. This battery was only 2 years old with less than 5000 miles and had been maintained since day 1, so I was sure it wasn't a problem with the battery. It turns out that it was nothing to be concerned about since this charger was designed to be used for long-term storage of batteries.
My previous charger, a Black & Decker / Vector 2A "smart" automatic maintainer tried to keep my battery voltage at 14.75 VDC at 2A for over 24 hours. Needless to say, I was concerned when I saw this happening with a brand new Battery Tender. I dug around on their website and discovered a PDF that indicated the Tender would try to reach 14.5 VDC for the absorption phase, at which point it would switch to a trickling charge and finally the maintenance charge. I logged all of the readings and confirmed that once the battery reached 14.4-14.5 VDC, it would start to trickle down finally remaining at about 13.12-13.22 VDC @ 20-100 mA. A modern car's parasitic draw is about 10-50 mA, so the maintenance charge is to compensate for the parasitic draw and for self-discharging of the battery. I discovered the Tender does a much better job at a maintenance charge because I have yet to see the Tender go into the Amber-LED mode, whereas my Vector/B&D occasionally switches back and forth even on a fully charged battery. I logged some data from the Vector/B&D and discovered that once the LED is green, it provides NO current to the battery. In essence, the Vector/B&D just shuts off once it reaches 14.5 VDC which is not as useful as providing an actual maintenance charge. The Battery Tender wins. Quite a few people have commented that their Sears "smart/automatic" maintainer and other brands constantly switch between the Green and Amber modes. I suspect those chargers are doing the same thing as the Vector/B&D. They just shut off when the battery is "charged", which is not very good for the battery. It needs to hold a maintenance charge to prevent sulfation.
The Tender Waterproof is fully encapsulated with a thermally conductive potting material. This makes the unit quite heavy for such a small device. It uses a quick-disconnect 2-terminal fitting that is commonly used for battery chargers/maintainers. It comes with ring terminals or large battery clamps all fused with a 7.5A ATC fuse. I made my own wiring harness with smaller alligator clips since I don't have room under the hood for large clamps, and I do not want to permanently install a set of ring terminals that can short out or cause other problems in the long-run.
Pros: Battery Tender has an excellent reputation for making reliable chargers. The Waterproof unit is quite durable and is insulated from shock, water, corrosion, extreme temperatures and other environmental variables.
Cons: At 800mA max current capacity, this charger will work rather slowly for 50Ah or larger capacity batteries, so expect 10-12 hours upon hooking it up to a battery before the LED turns green. The benefit of this is that it prevents boiling the battery or generating a lot of heat due to excessive current.
Overall: If you're using the charger in an environment subject to cold or hot temperature swings with plenty of moisture, such as in a detached garage for your motorcycle, boat, stored vehicle, or even a daily driver, I highly recommend the Waterproof unit over the Tender Jr or Tender Plus.
UPDATE:
I decided to purchase an additional Battery Tender Waterproof because I needed another charger for my daily driver and because I experienced no problems with the first unit.I have been using battery tenders for a while now, but needed one that could be placed on outside vehicles without worrying about precipitation. This one was perfect. It's a simple little device if you can plug a cord in and connect like colored clips it's all you need.
The construction seems even hardier than I anticipated it seems very rugged. It has rained and snowed on it already with no issues. My biggest pet peeve is dead batteries, and battery tenders have worked great for me! My Harley battery is 5 years old and still functions like new.
I highly recommend you pick one up if you have a battery that sits idle for more than a few days at a time.

The Amazon title says this is an 800 Amp charger (which is a bit ludicrous -most houses are only set to handle 60-150 amps). This device is actually an 800 milliamp charger, or 0.8 amps. This places it as comparable to the 0.75 amp Deltran Battery Tender Junior. The package includes high quality adapter cables, including both traditional claw-style clips (useful for charging/maintaining a stand alone battery) and o-rings to screw onto a battery for direct hookup while still installed in a vehicle. This latter option makes it supremely useful for maintaining a motorcycle over the winter, even outdoors.
Deltran's "Battery Tender" brand series of trickle chargers are excellent quality. The Waterproof model maintains the high standard.

ur 2000 Mercedes Benz C230 developed an electrical current drain that resulted in a dead battery ir the car sat for two or three days between uses. My choices were to spend several hundred dollars casing the short in the front instrument panel or purchasing a $32 automatic battery tender. The battery tender has worked well. We have had no "dead battery" instances since we began using the device. The device was as described on the amazon.com web site and shipped within one day if placing the order. Needless-to-say we are very happy campers.Want Battery Tender 800 Waterproof 12V Battery Charger Discount?

Universal Apple iPod USB Charger Kit - USB Retractable Hotsync Cable - USB Home Travel Charger - US
I keep the car charger in my car, with no extra cables to burden it, and I keep the wall charger plugged into the wall. The cable retracts easily, with a design much like that of a window blind (pull until you let go, where it locks, and then pull a bit more and let go to release).
It's a small, unobtrusive, and incredibly convenient device for your iPod, and at this price, it's a steal. You'd pay two or three times this at some electronics stores for the wall charger or car charger alone, let alone one that is so solidly constructed.
No question -if you own an iPod, purchase this product. I was impressed enough to come and write this review -perhaps you will be too. This kit is one that no iPod user should be without. The pieces are well constructed, and the wall charger beats Apple's own overpriced model. Also reasonably priced. I am very satisfied with this product. The product was exactly as pictured, and I am VERY pleased with the construction and price. I am THRILLED that I can use the same cord for different components this saves on storage space!
This is a WONDERFUL product at a fantastic price! I highly recommend it to any iPod owner!
NOTE: as of 11/30/08 the car charger attachment does NOT seem to charge my iPod. I haven't done anything to it to make it not work, it just won't work anymore. Since I am way past the warranty I guess I need to buy a new one. Not a problem since it is so inexpensive. On paper (i.e., computer screen) it looks like an unbeatable deal. In person, though, it looks and feels cheap, and performs accordingly.
I used both chargers with the retractable dock cord on several trips. They worked fine for about 3 months, then the car charger died.
When I called BargainCell for a replacement, they told me I'm out of luck. The items are only guaranteed by BargainCell for 30 days, and they can't even refer me to the manufacturer because the product "comes from China and there is no warranty."
Luckily I'm only out a few bucks because this package is so cheap. But I now have the hassle of researching and buying a replacement. Don't make the same mistake I made!
One thing nice to say: I love the retractable USB dock cord, as it eliminates cable clutter in my car's glove compartment.Everything seemed poorly constructed when I got the set in the mail. Then things started falling apart. The car adapter comes apart everytime you try to unplug it. Every time! So I stopped using it so that I don't get the parts stuck in the cigarette lighter plug. The home charger was fine at first, but it too fell apart. One of the prongs came out in an outlet! it is so dangerous. I almost got shocked.

- A best-selling product from Gomadic Corp, one of the leaders in consumer electronic charging accessories.
- Integrated advanced charging technology protects the device from power surges, overcharging and short-circuiting.
One important thing is this thing does not check the current going through the charger. I plugged this device before turning the ignition on, it starts to charge the device, but during the period where car drains power from the battery to start, the current decreases which might damage your device. Just be aware. Otherwise good product.I find this item to be very useful for long drives, especially when you want to keep using the player after the long drive. The end piece fits into the lighter hole with a nice snap to it so it doesn't fall out, ever. I had this problem before with a discman charger quite some time ago. I do wish that the cord wasn't coiled. Where i set my mp3 player makes a bit of a stretch and it almost pulls my player out of the pocket that i have my player sitting in. But i suppose the coiled cord is for incase the cord is snagged on someone trying to get out of the car and doesn't rip the charger out of the lighter which may cause damage, or even damage your mp3 player.

HD 720P Dual Lens IR Night Vision Car DVR Camera Dash Cam Video Recorder Motion Detection
- Dual lens, double views
- 5.0 MP 1/4 CMOS sensor
- 1280x720 high resolution video recording
- 120 degrees wide view angle, 330 degrees rotating screen panel
- Motion detection & IR Night Vision & Loop Recording
If you get this machine, DO NOT LOSE THE INSTRUCTIONS! You will use them over and over again as you may randomly decide to change features (it has a LOT).
The video quality out of both cameras is excellent from dawn to dusk. Night vision is mediocre but definitely usable. Its better than my iPhone video at night.
It comes with two mounts -an articulating mount and one that just sticks to the windshield. I'm using the one that is flat on the windshield. My windshield has a severe angle so I can't really see the screen very well. With the articulating arm you can see the screen well but the screen is so small I'm not sure its of any consequence -especially if you are using the PIP with the rear camera.
The DVR creates two folders on the SIM. One for the front camera and one for the rear. If there should be a "collision" it will add two more folders automatically that are not erased when the chip fills up. Video during the accident is put in those folders. It only plays for a few minutes on the built-in battery but if your car loses power from an accident it should be sufficient.
I would definitely recommend the MP4 version.

After having (briefly) owned two failed units from different companies I'd gotten through eBay, I had my hopes on this one functioning as advertised reasonably low. However, upon unpacking, it felt well-made, had a nice look, fit and finish to it. Already more impressive than the previous two. Installation was very easy, straight forward and there is plenty of cord to not only span but also tuck away within one of the longest production saloons ever built.
First use was done with an old 2GB card I had from a mobile phone, not the ideal size but it worked for the test run. The video is where I expected it to be after watching hours of Russian dashboard camera videos of all sorts of mischief with the bonus of covering front and rear of your vehicle.
The files are stored on the card as DCIMA and DCIMB for the front and rear respectively. I can't get the rear video to mirror on the camera itself (the image is vertically inverted) but having video editing software available, this isn't an issue for me.
Overall, I'm very pleased with the camera and the results it produces. Since my car appears to attract an unusually high number of moron motorists, it's nice to know that their incapabilities are recorded and can be used against them in the worst case, in the best case to make fun of them with my friends.
Quite likely that I'll order more for other vehicles too.Reviewed the product specs and it did not mention G-Sensor or microSD card. Emailed seller and they said no G-Sensor on product and no microSD support. However, picture on Amazon shows small memory slot which means microSD. Ordered/received product within 3 days.
Here is the rundown:
Unit powered up in Chinese. There was no upfront welcome screen to select the language.
Spent 20 min flipping thru Chinese menus looking for "language". With trial/error, finally set it to English
Dashcam has G-Sensor and only supports microSD card Amazon, please fix website and seller needs to know specs.
G-Sensor works OK. Test it by shaking the dashcam while recording. You'll see a lock symbol on screen, and the video file in the "LOCKED" directory on memory card
Saved video files are .MOV. Product description says .AVI.
Color was horrible on video playback/ Pink shows up as dark blue. Changed "Color" setting in menu to NULL. This fixed color issue. Also, traffic light color now shows correctly
VGA mode works very clear. 720 Mode appears to be OK, but I am happy with VGA.
Video file size is 15MB/min for VGA, and 53MB/min for 720 mode
Unit powers up automatically upon ignition start and stops on ignition off. Menu setting allows further recording after poweroff
Very compact unit that nicely sits behind the rear view mirror. Easy to slide on/off the suction cup mount.
Secondary camera kinda works. When enabled, it creates a PIP on the main LCD screen. If your PIP is upside down, just rotate the secondary camera 180 degrees. However, this causes a problem in that when you view playback, video is inverted. Left/right is flipped flopped. bad design.
Powerplug that inserts into the cigarette lighter socket does not fit well, causes random power loss to dashcam.
Looping works fine, I use 1 and 2 minutes, and it does what it is supposed to.
Night time driving with street lights/headlights is fine. You can see enough.
Audio picks up all noises
Overall, very happy with unit; accomplishes what I want it to do. Can't fully test 720P yet because I only have a older slow 1GB microSD card to test with. Will get 32GB this week. But don't 'really care too much since VGA is fine.
It is lightweight, compact, and very reliable. Not too bad for $70.00.
Will probably return it and reorder to address power plug issue. Will also get a 2nd unit for other car.
(had previously ordered the "$20 dashcam, and as you know, you get what you pay for got refund on that)
Update 6/2/13:
Keeping the unit since it works fine. Don't care about power plug problem anymore, whereas I am using my Garmin USB cable to power up the dashcam. I like this dashcam model a lot, so I ordered a second unit. But this time, I ordered from another seller (fulfillment by Amazon). This second unit is identical to the first except it now has: 1. New firmware 2. Remote control 3. 1080P.
Regardless, the VGA recordings still work the same as the first unit. No need for the extra features. (1080P is not real. playback just shows magnified objects).Pros: small
easy to set up
easy to upload clips
decent video quality on front camera if tinkered with
Cons: inexcusably unreliable at writing clips to memory card
poor video quality (skipping)
multiple hardware malfunctions
typical fake ripoff from China
delivery took longer than promised
Here is what makes this camera useless to me:
Only a fraction of video clips would properly write to the card. (Yes, I formatted the card to the camera) So essentially, tons of clips were lost. As it happens, I never got to see any of the clips I wanted because those happened to be the very ones that did not write. I'm concerned that this camera would actually be a DETRIMENT to have in an accident. What if fault could not be proven and I have to tell the cop/court ... "uh, the camera didn't record that time"?
Also, the camera is supposed to write over the oldest files but if I allowed it to do that, the video was useless (played 2 seconds, froze 15 seconds, etc). I had to manually delete the old files to achieve viewability.
After a couple weeks, the power cord no longer worked. So I used the USB cable. This initially worked for a few days, then worked unreliably, then stopped working all together.
The rear camera video displayed annoying bright pink artifacts. More notably, after 1-2 weeks of use, the rear camera suddenly got totally blurry. So much that it was useless.
Additionally, I was annoyed that the company info says they are in Washington (state) -that is a lie -they are actually operating from China. I paid for "ground shipping" which promised 3 5 day transit BUT it came from china and so took quite a lot longer. (Amazon gave me a $9 credit for that -thank you Amazon) Not only did it come from China, but it went from China to New York, then was repackaged in New York and finally sent to California.
When I received the camera and had a look through the manual. On it was written: "Thank you for purchasing a camera from our company" "Our company"?! Apparently I had fished a camera out of the abyss of chinese fakes :(Revised review. Not the quality of video I expected, but acceptable when it actually worked. I has constant problems with the screen and controls "freezing up". Within one month, I returned the item back to China (literally). At least I picked a vendor on Amazon with excellent customer service that issued a full refund and provided a return shipping label. But I still have a 100% failure rate on all dash video camera's I've purchased that are made outside the United States and affordable.

USB Sync & Charge USB Cradle (w/ 2nd battery support) for HP iPaq 211
- Keep your HP IPAQ 211 at hand on the desk with this stylish USB cradle.
- Charge your second battery and your phone at the same time.
- Quick, easy connection and rapid synchronization.
- Charge and synchronize data simultaneously when connected to your PC.
- Sync is initiated from the HotSync application on the HP IPAQ 211.
This necessitates using alternate means to charge and Synch the PDA. The mfgr refuses to send a replacement with prepaid return label; asking that I first remove my criticism of the product. Can you believe this "holdup"?

As previously mentioned, this was listed as a HP item when in fact it is a knock off by a company called orion.it does not fit good, and I guess I will have to put that one down as a bad experience.
Amazon should make their suppliers/vendors give accurate descriptions and supply what they describe.

I purchased two (2) docks and neither one lives up to its claims. the charging work OK, but the commumication with the computer does not work. the only way to sync is a direct connection using the iPAQ cable Do not waste your money!!!!!Want USB Sync & Charge USB Cradle (w/ 2nd battery support) for HP iPaq 211 Discount?
bought extra batter for USB Sync & Charge USB Cradle (w/ 2nd battery support) for HP iPaq 211 so I can have more power when I can not chargeI purchased the cradle just recently. Well, it worked for a day and then my computer gave me an "invalid USB device" when i plugged in the IPAQ. I figured that having a dual charger for my spare battery was more important than having to charge both batteries separately because I could always use the USB cable directly. But then it got too annoying NOT to be able to connect and charge at the same time. So I plugged the USB wire that came with it directly to the IPAQ and it worked so I figured there must be something wrong with the connection inside. Took my tester out and started testing connections from the connector at the back all the way to the front. I think something is messed up with the connections at the back. So I cut the USB wire that came with it, cut the connections between the back connector and the cradle connector and searched google for the right connections and soldered the cut USB cable and the cradle connections together and it worked. I just made another hole at the back of the cradle for the cable to go through so that it becomes a permanent connection. Now, I could use the cradle as it was originally intended. I think that Orion should test and retest connections and improve quality control.Friday, January 17, 2014
Travel/ Wall Charger w/ IC Chip for Apple iPod 3G / 4G / Video / iPod Mini / iPod Nano , White
Glad I found it. Regarding this iPod wall charger...
--I wondered why the same product kept coming up with different prices. Maybe because they want to hide poor reviews and keep starting fresh? The first time I plugged it into my iPod, for a few minutes the backlight of the iPod turned on, but not the text. Then the light went off and I was not able to get the iPod to respond again for two hours. It was dead. I made sure the lock switch was off, I tried to reset, I plugged it in using the Apple brand charger that has been working fine...but nothing worked. It was gone.
--Perhaps it was a coincidence that, despite the iPod working fine for two years (including a couple of hours on a flight just yesterday), the first time I plugged it in to charge with this product, it died. However, it also seems possible that this product provided the wrong electrical supply to the iPod and fried it, at least temporarily. I don't feel like trying it on other iPods to test this theory, though.
--I thought I was getting a good deal by buying this for 1 cent and paying $4.99 shipping and handling. Now I realize the ploy there is no reason to return it for a $0.01 refund, and shipping is not refunded.
--I urge people to avoid this product. This little charger works great. It is the second one of it's kind that I have purchased. The last one took a lot of abuse and therefore I needed to replace it. Would buy it again. Charges quickly and is quite handy. Product (charger for ipod) exactly as pictured, shipped quickly, was cheap but works excellently (even better than the plug in to the computer charger the ipod came with), you can actually use the ipod while it is charging. Would highly recommend, A+++++++ It took over three and half weeks to receive the product. I e-mailed the company to alert them to the fact that I hadn't received the charger. They responded in two days and let me know that it was sent to the wrong address and that they were sending another one. Great. I received the charger two days later. Even better. The first time I used the product, though, it broke. One of the prongs came off in the wall outlet. There is a reason these products are so cheap. Buyer beware.

Sync & Charge USB Cable for Apple iPod Touch 2G (White)
Manufacturer of this cord cannot be held responsible for the IPOD case you picked out. These reviews, and star ratings, are to be based on Product Item itself. This product does fit the IPOD touch, and performs its charging duties well.
This USB IPOD charger cord is a wonderful product and is very convenient for me to use. Instead of having to find wall outlets behind desks or couches. I can easily sit down in front of my computer and plug the IPOD charger in right in front of me.These USB cables are exactly like the one supplied with my Itouch. They even look like they are from the same source that Apple uses since the wrappings are identical. Very happy with this item.

I purchased this item 1 year ago in April 2011 and it broke on me after a month of use. I recently came across this item in my junk drawer which reminded me to fill out a review for my purchase. The plug end that goes into the iPod separated from the cable, exposing the wires and breaking off the solder leads to the plug. I really don't believe I was being rough with it at all; only used it at my computer desk. This cable is also extremely thin.
Alternately, the cable that came with the Belkin F8Z446 Micro Auto Charger with Charge Sync Cable for iPhone and iPod has been excellent, is hefty, and will take a beating in the hot car. Of course it cost more.

My 17 year old son uses his iPod Touch constantly & charges it several times per day. This cord is holding up great and works just like the Apple branded ones, just WAY LESS EXPENSIVE!! I bough 2 so he could have one in the truck too.Sunday, January 5, 2014
Motorola/ACS CLS1450CB 2-way Radio with Built-in Cordless Phone
Radio Standard UHF 1W 4CH
If you are familiar with the Motorola CLS1110 & CLS1410 then you will notice the same design and features built into this radio. The form factor is slightly larger than the traditional CLS series radio but uses the same charger, batteries, and audio accessories. The quality is also slightly better than the CLS1110 and CLS1410 radios and has a larger screen with 4 lines of text. Standard features found in the CLS1410 are included in this model such as scan and 4 total channels. Range is on par with other low power UHF radios (couple floors in building, 1/4-1 mile outdoors) should cover a warehouse perfectly fine which I think these would be great for.
Phone 2.4ghz Cordless FHSS
The phone function of this device is pretty straight forward and offers all of the basic features found on today's cordless handsets (Flash/Talk, End, Redial, CID, Call Waiting, Speaker phone, nice screen, etc.) Ringtones are a nice mix of loud and soft/musical and you have the choice of ten tones. Phone is 2.4ghz but does NOT interfere with wireless internet since it is FHSS (frequency hopping spread spectrum) this means the phone and base are constantly moving to clear frequencies as you talk or the phone sits idle, all seamlessly without you noticing. Every once in a while the handset will say "searching for base" for a few seconds and then re-register. I have never been bumped off a call or experienced the "searching for base" during a phone call. Range is adequate but certainly not as far as the radio range. Mount the base up in a high location (like in a warehouse) and you will easily get the stated range. I use this setup in an office where we use the CLS radios to communicate, only I have the CLS radio & phone. The base is located on the first floor and I can walk outside and go about 50-100ft before the signal starts breaking up. It quickly gets worse until you can't hear the other person clearly and must walk back into range. Overall very happy with the rangethose users who really need to roam their property, use the phone in multi-story buildings, or need clear communciations 2 blocks from the office should look at the DuraFon by Engenius.
Overall happy with my purchase and would recommend to other businesses who are already using the complimentary CLS two-way radios.

Schumacher XP750C Instant Portable Power Source
Even though it said to charge it for 36 hours after purchase, I used it anyway right out of the box, and it started my car twice.
I like the fact that you just leave this thing plugged in all the time and it knows how to keep the charge on the unit, and, as it claims, "intelligently charge" as the label said the algorithm is smart enough not to overcharge.
The LED flashlight isn't very powerful, but guess what, in a pinch this light would probably last for days if not weeks on that huge battery.
The compressor was a real bonus. I used it right away. It is very convenient to check your tires, sine the unit is not tethered to an electrical outlet. It took about a minute and a half for my tire to go from 25 lbs to 35 lbs. And after I did 5 tires, it quit on me and the tubing got hot. I read the instructions and noticed that compressing sucks a lot of power from the battery, and that you shouldn't use the compressor for more than 10 minutes at a time. So I had to wait half an hour for the unit to cool off, and then pumped the other 3 tires on my other car. This thing makes it VERY convenient to pump/check your tires. The built in pressure gauge needs to be angled upwards a little bit to be more user friendly, bc I had to keep tilting the unit to be able to see the pressure value while it was sitting on the ground. The compressor is something I'll be using quite a bit. The jump start feature is nice for emergencies and road trips, and the 12V cigarrete socket and USB socket means this thing can be used as a general purpose battery. It's the biggest battery I have in the house, so it's nice to have it.I like the nice compact size without comprising the proformance. The air compressor works very
well for about 10mins at a shot(just like the manual will tell you). Also nice is the fact that
using the air compressor does not deplete the battery. Still plenty of juice for a jump! Great
product for the price!!

I bought it for several reasons, I won't go in details but one reason is that I constantly left the lights on in the car. So I have it in my truck all the time.It is a bit heavy, but I don't mind.
With all the features is a great addition to my tool set.
During the first few day a plastic cleat (to hold the air hose) broke. I wrote to Schumacher and they sent me new ones with no fuss, so I can say that their support is good so far.
And I really like to have a portable power source!!

We carry this along with a chainsaw whenever we go to the cabin. Had to use it recently when our snowmobile battery went belly up. Used it to start the snowmobile 6 times over the weekend without a re-charge. Only thing I would change is the length of the leads. They could be a bit longer but they work fine.Wednesday, December 11, 2013
