There is a very wacky electrical problem with my car. I don't know what caused it yet. I will come back to this review and say whether it was this or not next week after I take it in.
UPDATE Car charger had nothing to do with the electrical problem in my car. The rest of the review still stands. This was an excellent purchase for me. It performed up to my expectations. The price was also very reasonable

Car Charger for Cingular 8525, Cingular 8125 Wizard, Cingular 2125, T-mobile SDA, T-mobile Dash, Ex
UPDATE: 04/21/08 I got what I paid for. After using it for less than a month, it randomly stopped working. I have not damaged the charger in any way. It has remained in my car and has not been exposed to extreme temperatures or even sunlight! Buyer beware, even if you are on a tight budget, you need to get a charger that is at least a little more expensive than this one...It works great and I keep my phone plugged in to it while I drive 2 1/2 hrs to San Francisco. I use my blue-tooth ear piece which can drain the battery fast on the phone. I've used it with Google maps running and talking on the phone at the same time. When I get to SF, the battery is fully charged and ready to go.. Good price as well.

My faith has been restored in Sirius, mainly from the person who has been working with me. Great customer service.
First the Good. It is small and can fit in your pocket
The battery seems good and plays for hours
Screen is nice and easy to read and use
Like the ability to store favorite stations.
Like storing your songs on it also so you can use it as a MP3 player.
Now the bad
The only way you can listen to Live stations is either
A have it docked in your car or home
B Through your home network but then only through the speakers of the Lynx or through headphones.
Having to use the dock is somewhat annoying.
I bought a car kit for $69.00 which is a jip for what you get.
the car kit comes with a antenna (Which if you have an old system your antenna will work with this which was nice seeing I didn't have to run it through my car again.
A power DC cord for a cigarette lighter. The plugin to the car kit is completely different than on the base of the unit which doesn't make any sense.
I have a Taurus with the sync system and this radio will not work with it at. Bluetooth, Nope, USB line in Nada, doesn't even charge the unit for whatever reason. I am hoping that there will be a software update to correct this in the future.
The vent clips are average at best. I like the suction cup window mount on my old star-mate much better. If you touch the unit the wrong way the clips fall off and it drops to the floor.
The option tape or screw mount is useless seeing that you have to install it with 4 screws to the back of the unit. so if you want to move it from one car to another you have to disassemble the thing which is pointless. It would have been nice to get another mount and then transfer from one car to another rather than buying another $69 car kit.
I now jut sit it on the console of each car that I have and run the music stream through my line in Aux port on my radios. Thank god I have it. Using a cassette adapter is terrible sound.
I decided to not get a home kit and I paid the extra money for Internet access through my wireless network. I have an I PAD and their app works great going through my home stereo system. I also had an star-mate boombox which will work with this lynx through the Aux port. The downside is the Bluetooth range. It sucks. Maybe 10 feet at best. My I pad, I phone, and Kindle fire all work on my backyard porch of my home but the Lynx loses the signal long before I get to my Kitchen. Not sure why they lowered the signal strength of Bluetooth.
It takes at least 2-3 minutes to boot the unit up so if you are making start and stops during the day you spend a lot of time with dead signals. They need the ability to leave the power on when you turn your car off or if you can set your power plug to on always.
About half the time it doesn't boot up properly and it just sits there with the Sirius screen. You have to open it up, pull the battery and restart it which is a pain. Again I am hoping for a software solution in the future.
In order to get your own music on the lynx the easiest way is to open up WMP and it will recognize the unit and you can sync it. The downside is for play lists it uses MU4 playlist which is not supported by WMP, only apple so you have to then go to I tunes and save your playlist on your desktop and then copy it the lynx. What a pain. Why can't these technology companies get along.
Bottom line I am going to keep the unit because I am committed but I really like my old star mate better.
The old rule holds true on this unit. Never buy the first new product until they work all the bugs out. If you are not tech savvy you will be frustrated with this unit.
Buy SiriusXM SXi1 Lynx Wi-Fi Enabled Portable Radio Kit Now
I bought a SiriusXM Lynx radio right when it came out. It sounded like a device that would finally be everything I had hoped from satellite radio. While this is a very good radio, it has several shortcomings that just leave you scratching your head.THE GOOD:
The screen. Text is crisp and clear. The menus are easy to read. Buttons are large enough to press easily.
The device gets all channels that SiriusXM has to offer on both satellite and internet.
The last firmware update included a basic web browser.
It varies depending on your mode, but a DVR of some sort is available on both satellite and internet modes.
THE CONFUSING AND BAD:
The differences between satellite mode and internet mode are downright confusing. Your presets are shared between satellite mode and internet mode. However, SiriusXM sometimes has different channel numbers. Example: during the holiday season, Christmas music is found on the "Holly" channel. On satellite, that's channel 17. On internet, that's channel 756. I need two presets for one channel. It works, it's just confusing.
The device is capable of recording channels and has DVR functionality. But only in satellite mode. And you can't set the time to record. That's fine for recording music channels. I don't care if it records some music for me at 2pm or 2am. But say I want to record Opie & Anthony's morning show each day so I can listen later on? I can't do that. However, SiriusXM offers a lot of programs on demand in internet mode. So while I can't record the show myself, I can stream it later. It works, it's just confusing.
Although system updates have made it better, the device is downright sluggish at times. It reminds me of an old Windows computer. After using it long enough, it just needs to be formatted and reset. I've had to do that twice. Granted all I'm really losing are my presets so it's not a terrible loss. But at the same time, there's no reason I should have to do this on a radio.
I own the home dock. When the device is docked, I can listen to both satellite and internet streams. The radio communicates with the dock through Bluetooth. From there, I have a standard 3.5mm speaker cable plugged into a stereo. There have been a couple times that the Bluetooth just doesn't work. A reboot of the device later, it'll start working again. Confusing to most users who wouldn't understand why their music isn't working.
SiriusXM mentions that you can take the radio with you while it wireless communicates with the dock. "Sit on the couch and control your radio!" Yes this works. But only in internet mode. The radio must be docked for satellite mode.
Internet streaming allows you to replay any of the last 5 hours of most channels. This feature works very well and it's great to have. There's also a feature called TuneStart. We've all turned to a radio channel only to hear the end of a song we like. The Lynx will use that buffer and always start songs at the beginning. The bad side is this is a lot like Pandora or Spotify. You can only skip so many times an hour. So if you turn on a channel, rewind to 5 hours ago, and think you can skip over songs you don't like...think again. You only get so many skips per hour. A great feature that falls short.
Internet streaming costs an additional fee on top of your satellite radio subscription. To get the best of this radio, you must be subscribed to both.
When listening to music in satellite mode, you get a background picture for the channel but no album art. When listening in internet mode, you get album art, but no background picture. It's odd that the internet mode doesn't include both.
THE BOTTOM LINE:
In spite of its split identity crisis between satellite and internet mode, I like this radio. But I think its appeal is very limited. I wouldn't recommend this radio for somebody to put in their car. The wifi/internet features wouldn't be available and without that, the feature set is limited. You'd be better spending your money on a simpler radio.
The only audience that would get the full benefit out of this radio is a SiriusXM subscriber who plans to put this radio in the home dock on a desk or shelf where wifi is available. It can be confusing at times to navigate back and forth between satellite and internet mode. I wouldn't give this to somebody that isn't already experienced with electronics in general like my Mom. "Oh Mom, you're in internet mode where the channel you want is 756, not 17 which is satellite mode." She'd look back at me completely confused.
If you're able to look past all the odd issues and understand its quirks, it's not a bad radio. If you're paying for both satellite and internet, you get *every* channel that SiriusXM offers. I don't know of any other radios on the market at this time (December 2012) that can say that.

I upgraded to the Lynx after my Stiletto 10 finally died. The device itself is nice, and it has some pretty cool features. I particularly like how it will attempt to start at the beginning of the song when you change to a new station. Of course one of the other perks is that it is one of the few radios that can get the extra channels (i.e. Tiesto's Club Life; might I add that I'm a bit annoyed with feeling forced into upgrading to access new content). The UI is also nicely done, but it feels a bit laggy at times. I find it hard to change stations while driving, and I'm often hitting the same button repeatedly because it can take a few seconds to respond. My biggest complaint which may be more an issue with XM vs Sirius rather than the radio itself is that the sound quality is borderline unbearable. It sounds like a 32k internet stream. Percussion and "s" sounds in songs sound muffled and distorted. It's frustrating to say the least when you pay this kind of cash in addition to the monthly access charges. I'm hoping I can just ignore it since Sirius has seemingly stopped creating new radios. Speaking of which Sirius tried to sell me a USED (and quite dated) Stiletto 2 for $160ish, which is a complete ripoff but still tempting with the prospect of better sound quality. Maybe I'm too critical (my fiancee could not tell a difference), but try listening to a CD and then turn this bad boy on...
At the end of the day, if you're looking to upgrade this seems to be the best option in terms of being the latest and greatest. If you're a previous Sirius subscriber start listening to crap quality internet radio to prepare your ears for the disappointment they face.
Want SiriusXM SXi1 Lynx Wi-Fi Enabled Portable Radio Kit Discount?
I ordered two units, one for my wife and one for my car. The first unit I opened was dead on arrival. It simply would not boot up. I returned it to Amazon. I used my wifes unit to try to install and it skips or cuts out even though there is a strong signal. It happens every 30 seconds or so, so if you are listening to jokes you miss the punch line. If you are listening to music it is simply very maddening! A major problem is that with XM or Sirius there is a charge every time you have them initialize a new radio even if the reason is because of a defective product. In my case my subscription is an annual one so it is $15 every time you switch radios. My wife has a lifetime subscription. The problem there is that you can only change radios 3 times and each swap cost $75.00. After the third switch if the hardware fails your lifetime account is expired as you cannot switch to a fourth device [a gotcha I wasn't aware of when I paid the lifetime
charge as I would not have considered that policy 'lifetime'...]
Now I am past the 30-day point on one radio and both car installation kits. The other radio has been returned once and I am not sure Amazon will let me return it since I already returned the original unit. In other words I am out about $600 for the two units.
It is difficult for me to believe that two of the three units don't work, and I am reluctant to spend another $15 in XM fees to attempt to install the third unit. Hopefully, the manufacturer will see this review and contact me to make things right. If they do I will edit this post to let you know the problem was fixed.
As it stands now, I cannot recommend this unit to anyone!Let's start with the unit is retailing for $150 now, and I found a store that had a $50 rebate so it is $100 afterwards.
I did some research, especially reading on here, so I wanted to clear some things up with a recent purchase of the unit. (Late Dec. 2012)
1: It does take a while to boot-up "out of the box." Once you get to install the updates, it doesn't take that long at all. To do the updates, you just need a WiFi connection. Relax, you don't need to change your subscription to do the updates.
2: Battery life is pretty dang good. I'd have thought it'd die quickly. I have had it, between the car and the apartment, a few days before it finally died at work.
3: I have no idea what the overseas customer support has to do with the device. I called and it was up and running within 10 minutes while driving down the highway.
4: This unit is standalone, you have to purchase a home or vehicle dock to use the satellite option. Otherwise, with WiFi you can use it if you have the internet radio subscription.
I added the internet radio to test it out, and I'm VERY happy with the option. I'm streaming XM via my Android Phone, which you can do with the internet radio subscription, and it's working great!! The desktop version is inconsistent and was jumping back every 20 minutes. Weird, but the Lynx has no issues with WiFi play.
It's not hard to figure out how the two modes work; even the instructions explain it with pictures. Satellite = docking station, Internet = WiFi.
5: I'm not sure how the DVR feature works, other than it randomly records a minute or two of certain station. It's nice, but I'm use to not having that so it's fairly new to me.
6: The unit DOES have a built in speaker. This isn't a Bose speaker, but it does a great job considering.
I upgraded from a SkyFi2 and this is LIGHT YEARS ahead. Only feature I am missing is having the unit alert me when a preselected artist is playing. Other than that, I love this lil guy! It was a xmas gift, bought from a retail store, and I got the vehicle dock as well.
Not knowing how to use all the features is a lil intimidating, but I did read through the instructions and it's not very hard to use. If you are a longtime subscriber like myself you will LOVE this device. I just need to not let me dad play with it or he'll want one.

eForCity Three-Way Car Cigarette Lighter Socket Splitter, Black
- Convert and increase your car cigarette lighter from 1 to 3 sockets.
- Simply plug into car's cigarette lighter socket.
- Run multiple accessories at one time.
- Very convenient and easy to use.
- Triple socket with 12V / 24V output.
Another plus for me is that it sticks out since the cigarette lighter in my 90 New Yorker is a little pushed back.
UPDATE:
After having it for about a year now it still works fine!

But, be forewarned. It is very hard to get this splitter plugged into my cigarette lighter then after I did get it plugged in, I can't get the adjustable arm tight enough to hold anything I plug into it stable. I have only plugged in my iPod FM transmitter but no matter how tight I turn the screw, the whole thing slowly slides down were I can't see the iPod display. Delphi Sa 10034 Skyfi Cd Audio System
If you don't already own a Delphi XM radio, consider the Audiophase satellite radio Skybox with AM/FM/CD/MP3 player. Or you could add a receiver to an XM radio family plan,.
Pros:
Radio and cd player fidelity
Intuitive buttons
Cons:
Background noise
Skipping CDs
Awkward way to insert and remove XM radio
Garish designWhen I hooked up my SkyFi radio in this device and turned on the unit, what I heard was a constant low frequency oscillating sound the best I can describe it is a "motorboat" noise. I heard the satellite radio, but during quiet passages especially on talk shows and interviews/comments on radio channels it was extremely annoying. So, I tried muting the sound and the noise continued unabated at the same volume. You could mask it by turning up the volume, but on some jazz, classical, and talk channels it was always there, annoyingly so.
I tried using headphones, thinking it was a speaker problem, but it was still there. Then, I figured it might be a bad power supply and tried batteries annoying background sound was still there. So this item is going back it's a real shame because it's a nice device, but fails miserably in it's intended purpose (at least for me) and that is making satellite radio portable.
I tried AM and FM radio and the performance is surprisingly good. But, the manual is completely wrong as to how to store presets for these modes. The manual says that in order to choose what preset number under which to store the station you should hit the "tune" button. In fact, you hit the "seek" button. Until I stumbled on this, I was going crazy trying to get the manual's instructions to work on my device. Also, the "Menu" button on the remote control does NOT put the satellite SkyFi into menu mode as the instructions say it should. As it turns out I found about a half dozen places where the manual is dead wrong.
I did not try the device with playing a CD audio or mp3. When I realized the device was useless to me for playing satellite radio, I gave up and decided to use my SkyFi home kit with cheap powered speakers.
A real shame this had the promise of being a really nice device. By the way, Delphi "tech support" never responded to my inquiries. I understand by looking at other reviews that this is not unusual.
Buy Delphi Sa 10034 Skyfi Cd Audio System Now
This is a great idea and design, the remote allows you to navigate through songs before changing channels. XM is awesome!!! The only negative of this product unfortunately is the sound that is pumped out of the speakers. The speakers output sound that sounds like a $25 dollar boombox rather than the $200 system it is. If you are using this as a stand alone boombox I do not think this is worth the money. I bought this system for my business office where I am constrained for space. So this system allows me XM radio and a CD player without taking up much space. I have a computer speaker system setup so the saving grace of this system is that it has a headphone jack so I plug my speakers into the headphone jack and I have stereo quality pumping XM/CD's all day !! Problem Solved !!!Read Best Reviews of Delphi Sa 10034 Skyfi Cd Audio System Here
Wonderful product. Just about the best XM SkyFI accessory I have ever had. Extremely durable, and rugged construction. Not much on looks, but is just about the best product of it's type I have ever owned.Unabashed plug: I am a blind person. I attend a school out here in Rancho Mirage called the Braille Institute. A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned XM radio to about 150 of my fellow students. Just this week, about 70 of them told me that they had got themselves a SkyFI radio, and told me that XM radio was the best thing ever to enter thier lives.
Maybe XM should hire me as a marketer... :)

Good, inexpensive manual charger, but VERY limited "tester".

I bought this charger after my hand held smart charger stopped working. I wanted a charger that had ample boost capability. I have used this charger a couple of times now and has worked flawlessly. I'm very pleased with its performance and very happy with the price. Please be aware that this is NOT a smart charger. I have owned several smart chargers (both high quality, $150 and low quality, $79)in the past and they have all either failed or were not accurate. This unit works very simple. Set the timer select the proper amperage and let it work. If you are unable to operate a manual charger I would recommend searching for good quality smart charger with very good reviews.Read Best Reviews of Schumacher SE-4022 Manual Wheeled Battery Charger and Tester Here
This is a great charger. I ordered it and received it three days later with standard shipping charges. Pretty impressive huh!!!The only bad thing is the plastic, injection molded tires that come with the unit. They are hollow and pretty thin. I can't imagine they would last any length of time if it is moved around frequently. I did not even put them on the unit. I went to Home Depot and bought some hard rubber tires with metal wheels and had to buy some bushings as the axle on the unit is fairly small. It is now a great unit! Schumacher should just spend a little bit more for better tires and charge four or five dollars more.

This charger is great and has a very good boost mode for quick start when batteries are dead. I see other reviewers here complaining about a shut-off but that's why this is considered a "maunual" charger and not a "smart" or "automatic" charger. So keep that in mind before you purchase. If you're looking for a great MANUAL charger this one's for you if you're looking for a smart or automatic charger then I recommend theNOCO G750 NOCO Genius Gray 6V and 12V 750mA (.75A) Fully Automatic Battery Charger and Maintainer as it's the best one i have personally used on the market.

Milwaukee 2662-22 18-Volt M18 1/2-Inch High-Torque Impact Wrench with Pin Detent
I too ordered the tool with the "pin detent" instead of the ball. I chose it because so I didn't need to worry about the sockets falling off when used with the wrench nose down. And for all the other times, I have a super short extension attached to the pin of the wrench and use it has a standard ball detent. This way I get the best of both worlds.
Pros: Great power; Great Battery life; variable speed/force; quite compared to other battery and air impact tools; Great Price when compared to other similar caliber tools, Comes with a nice HD blow molded tool case, charger and two batteries
Cons: With the big battery, its a little heavy; all your neighbors will want to borrow it!
The price here at Amazon is great. It was nearly $200 less than my local tool store wanted for the same tool.
What more can I say, I LOVE THIS TOOL, and would highly recommend it.I got mine today after over 2 months waiting because of "back order".
Tried it out, just a short initial performance review.
I was wondering about the pin retainer, I won't advocate for or against, just something that might be useful in deciding between it and the "friction ring" I'm used to. It looks like a rounded pin not a ball. More difficult to get the sockets on and doesn't hold as good as the friction ring.
Except if your sockets have the hole, then they won't come off (unless you use something to poke in the hole to push the pin down). Good if you don't change sockets much, a little more of a pain if you do.
It handled a lug nut (3/4" stud) on an open rim truck wheel, I checked the nut first with a breaker bar and it didn't move with about 350 foot lb of force, so It's easily putting out more than that.
Tried it on the front wheel of my Mitts,, Well that was good for a laugh.
I guess I won't be getting rid of the 1" air impact any time soon.
It appears the 450 pounds-feet advertised is a real number not the rubber kind used by Sears or government accounting.
You aught to be good up to a clean 3/4" bolt.
Unless you also use it as a wheel chock, it's hard to see why you'd want a heavy duty 1/2 Air impact over this.
Buy Milwaukee 2662-22 18-Volt M18 1/2-Inch High-Torque Impact Wrench with Pin Detent Now
I like the features of the Milwaukee 2662 impact driver. It takes a little while to get used to the reverse switch and using an Allen wrench or other small tool to remove the socket but you won't lose the socket under your car while working. It removed lug nuts with ease. Just be careful when tightening any fastener. Take it slow at first. I stripped a large tie-rod fastener the first time I used it. It has more torque than my Ingersol-Rand 231 impact driver. The batteries charge very quickly also.I chose this impact for it's power plain and simple. The 425 ft-lbs handles suspension parts with relative ease. I looked at corded and pneumatic impacts and I didn't find one corded impact with more than 300 ft-lbs torque and the pneumatics all required way too much air for the average home or contractor air compressors to deliver enough air for any performance. I have a pneumatic impact and a ratchet neither gets much use because of their air requirements. If you work in a shop that has enough compressed air to run them stick to pneumatic impacts that's what they were designed for and they'll hold up the best. If like me you're a retired contractor (or just a tool guy) that works on your own vehicles, this is the best tool for the job.
I've used this impact to take apart stubborn fasteners that I would have had to resort to a torch to remove if I didn't have this impact.
DON'T USE REGULAR SOCKETS ON THIS OR ANY OTHER IMPACT! The power of this tool can cause them to shatter (explode) with enough force to throw schrapnel.
You can get this impact with either a detent pin (this is a pin not a ball detent) or ring. If you're going to be changing sockets alot you may want to choose the ring. You may have a problem with a socket coming off in use but it's much easier for changing sockets.
Pros: Power, battery life, no hose to drag.
Cons: Plastic housing, battery NOT "Made in the U.S.A."

Philips USA PH-62050 CD/MP3/MD-To-Cassette Adapter
1) Newer cars (typically 2006+) have an aux input which you connect your iPod to with the right cable. A direction connection like this is the simplest, lowest cost, and best sounding option but you need a newer car.
2) On most cars without a dedicated aux input, you can hard wire a connection in the back of the head units with kits from several manufacturers (USA Spec for example). This provides sound quality as good as item #1 but can get a little messy as the hardware needs to be mounted (usually under the dash) and can be fairly expensive (approx $200 hardware, $50 to $100 install)
3) You can use a FM modulator with any car that has an FM receiver. This is low cost simple option, but the drawbacks are well known: OK sound quality at best, issues with static and noise from nearby radio channels.
4) For cars that have a cassette tape deck (remember those?!) you can use a cassette adapter like the Phillips here. My older Lexus has a cassette deck and I chose this option before I invest in adding a hard wire connection (#2) as described above. I figured I would least try it for $11 and I am very impressed with the sound quality! I would call it near CD sound quality. There is no hissing or mechanical clicking of the gears in the adapter. I also purchased the Maxell cassette adapter since they used to make the best cassettes back in the day and to my surprise it sounded much worse and had a loud humming noise. So I am keeping the Phillips and returning the Maxell and just ordered another Philips unit as a backup for long trips!I have two of these devices. The sony that I have cost $20 and clicks when I play it in my one car. In my other car, it always sounds like the dolby sound filtering is on. This one works and sounds better and was half the cost.

I got the Philips Cassette Converter to run my iPod Shuffle in my '96 Saab 900 with factory equiped stereo and it works beautifully. Yes, it is true that the signal is not very strong, so you have to turn the volume up a bit, but even the little Shuffle can compensate for it and by no means do you need to fear forgetting to turn the volume down when you switch to Radio or CD. The sound quality is as good as the iPod delivers and you have no disturbing background noise. I also had no problems that the deck would eject the tape. I can recommend this product and it's good value for money (I didn't try similar one)Read Best Reviews of Philips USA PH-62050 CD/MP3/MD-To-Cassette Adapter Here
...for solving a new tech problem. Cassette tapes are almost as extinct as the 8-track ...but the cassette deck lives on in many factory installed car stereos ...pretty much lying dormant as the CD player gets all the use. Wanna play that new fangled iPod or MP3 player in your car but don't have a modern, high zoot car stereo you can just plug it into? Problem solved if you're lucky enough to have a cassette player as part of your setup. Turn on your radio (volume down) and simply slip this cassette adapter into the slot. Connect the mini-plug into the headset jack on your pocket-sized player and...voi-la! ...put that puppy on "Shuffle" and enjoy a just about endless supply of tunes. It's that simple.I have two of these Phillips units; they work great and sound great. The Phillips is also one of the least expensive of the lot. All the adapters work the same and they will all probably sound the same ...so why pay more? The audio cable can be routed in one of three ways making it adaptable to just about any cassette deck made. You can route the cable out the left or right side and out the center of the back edge of the cassette shell. There are two large screws allowing you to use a dime to open the slot and realign the audio lead.
One thing you need to be aware of as you use this cassette. Many cassette players came with some type of noise reduction system (Dolby and others). When using this adapter you want to make sure the noise reduction circuitry is turned *off* ...otherwise the music will sound dull and have a slightly weird effect to it. Some factory cassette decks, like the one in my 2000 Jeep Cherokee, default the noise reduction circuit to the "on" position so you have to turn it off each time you insert the adapter. Or you can just leave the adapter in the player with no harm.
Another point for getting good sound is to make sure the volume level of the MP3/iPod player is not greater than about 75% of max ...there's a good chance you'll get distortion if the player is at full volume.
The only downside I've experienced so far has been the top label peeling up in the hot weather. The ends will curl up and the sticky side will attach to the cassette door as you try to eject it. Simply peel off the label, problem fixed. So fire up that old tech cassette deck and enjoy your new tech using some low tech.

This adapter works fine with my mp3 player, at top volume there's slight background noise that can be taken care of with noise reduction if your car stereo has it. Sound quality is excellent and very consistent. It's much better and less expensive than a radio transmitter. I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase.Sunday, December 29, 2013

Schumacher XC103 SpeedCharge Battery Charger with Engine Start
The charger generates the F06 code on two different brand new batteries. Also, if I use the Slow Charge Rate setting the same batteries charge just fine so I do not believe that the batteries are defective. There must be something wrong in the charging logic for the Fast Charge Rate setting.
I tried several times to get Schumacher customer support to help me resolve the problem. The Schumacher support staff is useless. They kept sending me the section from the manual that describes the F06 error code. I already knew this information; which I carefully explained on my initial e-mail to Schumacher and on all subsequent e-mails to Schumacher. They persisted in not answering any of my questions, but just resent the F06 error code section from the manual. When I finally insisted that the charger must be defective Schumacher finally agreed to replace the charger with a new or refurbished charger. Since I just bought the charger a refurbished charger was not an option in my opinion.
Another annoyance is the poorly designed cord storage system. Both the AC and the charging cables are very stiff making them difficult to coil. I'm not sure why the cables need to be this stiff. My old charger had cables that were much easier to coil and stow. In addition the two posts provided for cable storage on the back of the unit are totally inadequate for the task; they simply cannot hold both sets of cables (they barely hold just the AC cable) and it's way too much trouble to try and coil the wires around these posts. The only solution I found was to not use the cable storage posts at all and simply coil the wires. I then used a piece of twine or a velcro strap to keep them coiled (all in all this is a nuisance).
Based on thes problems and the extremely poor customer service, I regretfully decided to return the charger to amazon.com for a full refund.

I purchased this due to needing to replace an older unit . I have a very short commute and in the winter My car doesnt get driven enough tomantain a full charge on it's battery. I Used this for the first time the other day and it brought my dead DieHard Gold battery back to life after having left my lights on overnight. total charging time in the fast mode was 1.5 hours. I have used this in trickle mode and starting mode and all work perfectly .

Purchased this for all battery charging on my farm and for the trolling batteries for my boat. This charger is super fast. It automatically tells you what voltage the battery is and what is the percentage of charge on the battery.. Could not ask for a better charger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Want Schumacher XC103 SpeedCharge Battery Charger with Engine Start Discount?
Works as described, only problem is the yellow led lights don't show up outside in the sunlight. I thought the unit was broken when i first got it because i didn't see any other lights come up except the red one, almost returned it till i looked closer.
