It dosn't have any kind of fuse, so you might want to consider that when installing. The individual wires themselves are kind of thin, but gets the job done. All in all, a great little device. If anything goes wrong with this thing(knock on wood), I will update my post.

I tested the cable before installing on my motorcycle and it worked fine. However, due to an oops, I fried the little fuse inside the box. To get inside, you'll need to remove the label (or poke holes in it) to access the screws. Once in, you'll see where the little fuse is soldered in. I plan to remove the fuse, solder the connection closed, and add a fuse somewhere else.

One concern I have is that the circuit board is not solidly mounted inside the box. It just rattles around. As this will be installed on a single-cylinder dual sport, I'm concerned that vibrations and bumps may mess with the circuit board. I will probably pot it with epoxy. There was also an exposed wire inside the box.

It's just a cheap, cheaply made cable which works, but needs extra work for my application.

I connected battery to where it belongs, in few hours yellow light went off... so it works for now. How good this battery will be? I can tell you in five years, just wait a little...

Was happy to find this on Amazon, a visit to our local "electronics superstore" turned up nothing. The battery in our home alarm system was dying (and setting off the alarm every 12 hours, tons of fun). Thankfully this arrived in a few days and did the trick. It took about 12 hours for the "system battery low" warning to stop, I think the system had to reset itself. Oh, and we totally had to get a locksmith to open the alarm box after losing the key. I ordered two of these batteries for my electric bicycle. I needed the dimensions that the descrption says i.e. 5.94 in (length) x 4.37 in (width) x 2.56 in (depth). They arrived in good condition in four days, but they were approximately 5.94 x 3.85 x 3.85 and they wouldn't come close to fit into the case for my device. When I contacted Chrome they insisted that they had sent the batteries according to the dimensions in the website description. They did take the return without argument so I sent them back. Cost $11 to ship them back but at least I will get most of my money back. I bought the correct batteries elsewhere. Can't understand why they didn't offer to ship me the correct size and pay for shipping. The problem was entirely their fault but they never admitted it. They were polite and gave me a refund so not too much damage done. But I wouldn't order these thinking they are 5.94 in (length) x 4.37 in (width) x 2.56 in (depth).

When a protective case is snapped onto the phone, it makes it longer, and the phone can no longer descend down into the cradle for a fit. Ok folks, Don't be fooled about these frs/gmrs walkie talkies. Mind you, it's not just the Cobra brand. These are nice radios. However, the 20 mile range capabilities is just a complete lie. They can communicate about a mile at most. The reason I give this radio 3 stars is that it works well for a walkie talkie but, the ranges on these type of radios is only a mile at most. Remember, ALL Brands of this type of radio is Only a mile or two at best. I don't know why they get away with such an exaggeration, but then again look at the late night infomercials promising a hard rock body with just a rubber band. Anyway, these radios are fine for keeping up with the kids at the mall or park. Also important is that you will need a license to operate on the gmrs channels. No problem, just fill out a form with the FCC and get your call sign and go. I'm an advanced class amateur radio operator, so my review can be trusted. Hope this helps.

I wanted radios to use with headsets for a youth sports project. These indicate a headset/power connector, but its not described on the packaging or the user manual. The clerk at Walmart electronics dept was useless, and the Amazon listing did not have the description. It is a 2.5mm vs. the common 3.5 mm. I tried several headsets and a few cell phone headsets, but none worked. The manual says absolutely nothing about the headset port other than it is a shared headset/power port. I looked it up online and Cobra's website has a $19 and a $79 headset. I find that the reception of the device is more than adequate for my needs, but if you need a microphone/earphone then you should probably look at the Motorola MR350R which also has the benefit of using a USB charging port vs. a proprietary charger.

There good toys but not good for anythig else. Don't even reach 1/2 mile inside a house and barely that outside. Rechargeable Batteries don't last more than 6 hours. We had hoped to use it to communicate with my dad but they are only toys and unreliable for real communication.I assumed that the 22 mile range was over hyped but did think it would do at least 5 miles disappointment!

I will admit up front that I bought this unit based solely on price. That, and the fact I am a long time buyer of Whistler radar detectors. Like another reviewer here, my first experience with a radar detector was a now ancient "fuzz buster" that never really failed on me, but merely became obsolete over time. I took a long break over the years from radar detectors mostly due to the fact that I am older now and hardly ever in that much of a hurry. Unfortunately under the disguise of supposedly only being interested in saving our lives, radar traps and pull overs from rolling radar has increased dramatically over the last few years where I live. Severe financial problems on the state and local level has been holding us in its iron grip here long before it became fashionable nation wide. So now that things have gone from normally flat busted to fiddling with financial collapse, the police in the state have expanded their role as peace makers to that of rolling revenue agents. There was a long time here where friendly warnings where handed out generously for a 40 plus year driver like myself cruising a couple of miles over the speed limit. The police had bigger fish they were after. A true vehicular desperado I was not. Those days of yore have unfortunately vanished in the wake of the towns and states flashing empty pockets all around.

In an effort not to see my own contribution to the problem come at the hands of purportedly "saving my life", I purchased this Whistler 265 model about 6 months ago. I was quite taken aback by the wide range of prices on these units at first. The last time I bought one there was perhaps a $50 price difference between the economy model and a true space age unit. Now it can be as high as $400 or more. Since this 265 was a Whistler that was capable of picking up all the radar technology currently available, and cost about $45, I decided this was the one for me. All I can say from my own experience with this fine unit is I can only imagine what those higher priced models really do, for this 265 seems to perform it all quite nicely. Simply put, its the best $45 I have spent in a very long time. The 265 is easy to install on your windshield with the bracket provided, and a coil style cord plugs into your cigarette lighter, or 12 volt outlet that just about all cars provide these days. (If you prefer to install on your dash or elsewhere, a velcro strip will hold this unit easily). As far as features, the 265 seems to have all one could ask for. This Whistler provides tone alerts, quiet modes, numeric icon displays, alert priority, and even a vehicle battery saver. It also has both visual and audible alerts, and a volume control. As far as actually detecting and warning you of any radar in the area, mine has so far never missed a beat. Although I am not much of a heavy footer that needs as much advanced warning as possible, I would have to say that any warning that does come from the 265 has been in advance enough to save me from being picked up in about 80% of the cases, or more. It is especially capable in picking up stationary radar, which although a lot of advertisements for these devices claim has gone out of style in favor of rolling radar, is still well in vogue here in my neck of the woods. I have picked up signals so far in advance in some of the stationary cases that at times I felt the the detector is picking up something else. Then lo and behold, smokey appears on the side of the road. For rolling radar, the advance warning is a little more random, but still very effective in my opinion. It is omni directional and will pick up a radar signal far off the side of you as easily as it does ahead, or behind you. I love this little unit and feel it is personally the best deal in detectors that there is going on the market presently.

In conclusion, I should mention that I live in a small town. There are no real heavily congested areas, or locales where there is any real city atmosphere. So my detector doesn't really have to work that hard at distinguishing alarms and doors openers from the real McCoy. If you live in a city or any form of heavily congested area with a lot of commerce, it very well may be a good idea to move up to a higher priced, more sensitive model. Personally I feel that the only difference between the high ticket radar detectors and this model is their ability to differentiate between real speed radar, and any other device that uses the same technology. That, and perhaps a little more technology in giving you a shade more warning. For a small town atmosphere like where I live, I honestly feel that the Whistler XTR-265 is all the radar detector you should ever need. Unless you simply love to speed, or the local police seem to have a special fondness for you, why pay more. A good, solid, dependable unit. Highly recommended...

I replaced an acient Whistler that missed four different cops shooting something on the Interstate on a trip to FL. I then took another trip to FL with the XTR-265 and it showed me every cop plus is better at ignoring auto doors. I picked this unit for the reputation of Whistler from my experience and written reviews. Now that I have a unit that will show me the cops everywhere I can travel without worrying about speed traps. This unit also remembers the last settings so you don't have to change them every time you start your car. BTW: I still have my original Fuzz Buster from the 70's sitting on a shelf as a memento.

I've been using this Radar Detector since February of 2011. The reason i bought this detector is because i drive 100 miles a day to and from my workplace and it is a very highly traveled area for state and local police. What I've noticed is that this detector is spot on with K, KA and X Bands, while it seems that Airports and Cell Phone towers in some cases put out a high amount of X Band Radar, it can cause some interference with this detector. But it's manageable to clear those alerts using the quiet button.

However, this detector does not register Laser Radars (LIDARS) in my area. I have watched countless Wisconsin state trooper's point their LIDAR at me with no notification from this detector that they in fact are tracking me. I can recall at least 4 times that i know of, where i saw this happen.

With that said, buy this detector for the RADAR detecting, not the Laser detecting. I thought about returning this product, but since you can't do much when your hit by a LIDAR to make it worth the trouble to return it.

I bought this to use in the wife's vehicle, so I wouldn't have to switch my other detector between vehicles every time I drove hers. I also own an XTR-145, which I bought at a wholesale store, and it is fantastic. It has saved me probably thousands of dollars over the last three years. The XTR-265, though, will alert me to "Laser" several times a day, though that technology isn't currently being used where I live. I saw other comments about it not picking-up radar from police cars, and assumed that the police just didn't have their radar on, but I see what they were talking about now. During the first week of using it, I passed 9 police cars that I know for sure, had their radars active, and pointed right at me, and the XTR-265 never made a sound. I have been using it for a couple of months now, and it does alert, on occasion, but I am getting more automatic door openers than real threats. I am probably going to try to sell the XTR-265.

Dometic 3308046.014 Polar White Penguin Shroud Assembly

There is nothing wrong with this shroud except the vent and the AC on a Chinook motorhome were too close together by about 2" for it to fit. I laid it back intending to return it but never did because of the cost of return shipping. I had forgotten about it until asked to write this review. The reason for three stars only is I think the listing should have told me how much clearance was needed around the vent to install it. It is headed for Craigslist one of these days. Don't let this review stop you from purchasing it as it looks well made. Just measure your clearance carefully.

Lost the A/C cover while on a trip to the desert. Being that this was an older RV, I couldn't find an exact one like the one I lost. Had to go to Dometic to find the new part number. Different RV's come with different color covers and each color is a different part number. Once I figured that out, I went with the cheapest one and it fits perfect. Instructions were easy to follow and I saved about $150 doing it myself.

The charger fits the adapter port well and always charges when it's plugged in. It doesn't have enough current output to really get a charge if you are using your phone constantly (GPS, Music). But for a quick top off or an emergency charge it works great.

The description was a little tricky on this product. It advertised it as being "rapid", but apparently the "rapid" was in relation to how fast it retracts. The retracting mechanism works a little too well (it snatches back the whole cable in about 1/3 of a second). HOWEVER, I can plug my Motorola Atrix in, not use it at all, and after a 30 minute commute, I don't have any more battery than when I plugged it in.

After using this thing, I can't ever imagine paying for it again. The good news is, it's pretty darn cheap, so I'm not out that much. Still, it's not a charger. At best, it will let your idle phone break even on power consumption.

PROs: Cheap, and retracts the cord very well.

CONs: Doesn't charge at all.

RESULT: If someone bet me to put the "live" end in my mouth, I'd take the bet, because this charger is so weak.

Works just average at first then doesn't charge at all... All that it is good for is holding a charge.

This cradle was something I was looking forward to, but it has given me more grief than anything else.

First, let me point out that you can use it either as a charger or as a synchronizer with your PC, and for me it is just a glorified charger. As far as synchs go, it simply does not work.

At first the cradle connected me with my PC, but did not synch. I realized that by reloading the software I could synch once. If I wanted to synch again, I had to reload the software. Nowadays not even reloading works. I haven't been able to synch since august of last year!

Another annoying issue is that you must wait for the PDA to be fully charged before you can attemp to synch. Why this happened is beyond my comprehension.

So, in brief, I am truly dissapointed. These times I only use as a charger in my office, and nothing else.

This charger is absolutely horrible. The first one I ordered never worked. The LED on the wall charger would not even turn on. I emailed the seller and got a new wall charger. The charger works great at charging up my auto car batteries. For a nearly dead battery (0.9 volts), it did not seem to charge as it should for the initial charge (shut down after a while and said it was at 80% charge). I then charged a 2nd time (actual charge at startup was then 40 %), and it charged it correctly. Most batteries charge within 1.5 hours time for autos. The LED yellow lights are very hard to see in the sunlight (they should change the color of these). My only complaint is that the clamps are low quality (cheap) and they should charge a few more dollars and install heavy duty (stronger) clamps.

I really wanted to like this charger: Schumacher XC103 SpeedCharge Battery Charger with Engine Start. On paper it seems to do everything I need. The big problem is that it keeps generating an F06 error code when charging on the Fast Charge Rate setting. The manual says this means "The charger detected that the battery may be getting too hot (thermal runaway)." and that "The charger automatically shuts the current off if it detects the battery may be getting too hot or the battery may have a shorted cell. Have the battery checked or replaced." This means the charging is stopped before the battery is fully charged.

The charger generates the F06 code on two different brand new batteries. Also, if I use the Slow Charge Rate setting the same batteries charge just fine so I do not believe that the batteries are defective. There must be something wrong in the charging logic for the Fast Charge Rate setting.

I tried several times to get Schumacher customer support to help me resolve the problem. The Schumacher support staff is useless. They kept sending me the section from the manual that describes the F06 error code. I already knew this information; which I carefully explained on my initial e-mail to Schumacher and on all subsequent e-mails to Schumacher. They persisted in not answering any of my questions, but just resent the F06 error code section from the manual. When I finally insisted that the charger must be defective Schumacher finally agreed to replace the charger with a new or refurbished charger. Since I just bought the charger a refurbished charger was not an option in my opinion.

Another annoyance is the poorly designed cord storage system. Both the AC and the charging cables are very stiff making them difficult to coil. I'm not sure why the cables need to be this stiff. My old charger had cables that were much easier to coil and stow. In addition the two posts provided for cable storage on the back of the unit are totally inadequate for the task; they simply cannot hold both sets of cables (they barely hold just the AC cable) and it's way too much trouble to try and coil the wires around these posts. The only solution I found was to not use the cable storage posts at all and simply coil the wires. I then used a piece of twine or a velcro strap to keep them coiled (all in all this is a nuisance).

Based on thes problems and the extremely poor customer service, I regretfully decided to return the charger to amazon.com for a full refund.

Although there are some unwritten details about this alarm and it takes some getting used to, it is a very well made alarm. One neat feature that is not obvious in the manual is if the alarm is triggered and the remote is within 10 feet, the icons will flash to show a trigger, but the alarm will not go off. It "knows" you are there and the vehicle is safe. The perimeter feature and internal back-up battery (in case someone accesses the alarm and disconnects the power source) are also two nice perks. The perimeter feature will warn away someone in the vicinity, and will go off if the intruder doesn't leave. Even though it says to charge the remote daily, you probably could go at least 3 weeks without charging it. The effective range of the alarm in a city is about a quarter mile. This is my first experience with a paging alarm, and it is highly recommended if you want this type of alarm for your bike.

I made the mistake of ordering this product directly thru the company rather than amazon.com. They consist of 4 employees and when you ask to speak with the owner about the rude and obnoxious behavior of the employees they pass you around the circle telling you he is out of the county. When I originally called the company to request additional information, the young man who answered the call (sales support and tech support is the same person) was rude, obnoxious and short on his answers. At times he took deep breaths and laughed at my questions ... classy company. None the less I ordered the product because of the good reviews. What I received was a plastic and very fragile unit. During the install the cover over the speaker broke and the custom connector kit did not fit as advertised. Don't waste your money on their custom wiring kit, just use the wiring kit that comes with the alarm. After I completed the install, some of the features worked while others do not. I'm extremely technically oriented (have an electrical engineering degree) and to say the product was low quality would be right on. Pick another company that is not in financial trouble and you will be much better off. I'm wishing I had gone with the Gorilla system, would have saved money and been much more satisfied. Oh by the way, unless you return any product (defective or not) within 14 days or ordering it they will not provide an RMA. Another reason to only do business with amazon.com ... and not the vendor directly.

I did have my I900 installed professionally and it works great It took a little time to adjust the perimeter alarm but once I got that taken care of it works great I have had it only about 3 weeks the the long term review is still out.

Opening the box I was pleased with it's construction and small size.

Unfortunately, it does not charge my Galaxy Nexus at the higher (1A) rate of a 'AC' charger. It does charge, but only at the 0.5A USB charge rate. Which is insufficient to keep the battery charged while using the phone as a GPS. (Yes, this phone has a very power-hungry screen)

It does charge my iPad2, which means it's delivering at least 2A to the device.

My suspicion is that there's a issue with how the charger and the phone are reporting/seeing each other. The charger only passes out as much power is requested, and the phone is not requesting the higher rate, probably because it doesn't think it's available.

I would prefer that the charger have a light on it to indicate that it has power instead of relying on a connected device to determine if the charger/car connection is good.

Works good with an Ipad-mini, which was why I bought it. However, it fit so loosely that I had to pad it with a piece of Velco "loops" to get it to stay in the socket. The socked worked fine with my older 1 Amp adapter what was too low of a power for an Ipad.
