The phone-end connector does not latch into the phone and falls out. I compared the latches on this item to those on my original charger and it looks like the new ones are installed improperly and do not engage the phone receptacle.

I also notice a difference between the new and original phone connector, in the # and locations of the pins. But I do believe the new one will charge the phone since the red LED turns on when the unit is connected to the phone (and when the unit is not plugged into the car outlet).

What a deal. When I initially priced these car chargers for my phone, several years ago, they were outrageously priced. However, this company came through with flying colors. They were prompt with their delivery. The cord even included the same type of microchip as the original.

Works well. Doesn't seem to charge the phone as long as one that I once had, but I bought it 4 a penny (prior to shipping/handling), so just that it charges & holds the charge 4 a day is good 4 me.

First of all it will not charge a dead battery battery must have at least 7 volts, which only means you have to put your battery on a standard charger for an hour or so and then put this charger on.

Second it states it is supposed to desulfate batteries / restore them I have yet to confirm this after charging 7 different batteries

third for some reason it does not like interstate batteries I tried 2 of them and it would not work on them unless I went through a few differnent steps

forth I tried 2 different dry cell batteries would not charge either on

fifth on deep cycle batties it took over 7 days to charge it up after a full charge I put it back on a week later and showed only a 50% charge

It might be fine for maintaining batteries and I like the fact I can charge 2 batteries at the same time would I buy it again no. The reason is I wanted a charger that would desulfate my batteries and this one does not perform that function, or at least to my satisfaction. I was trying to avoid spending big money but you get what you pay for.

I would not recommend this charger unless you just wanted a trickle charger

update: 1/17/13 product states 14+ volts but only charges up to 13. I have tried 6 different batteries and it has not worked an any of them. As soon as I put them in my truck they went dead. The starter would not even ingage. This charger brings them up to what it calls a full charge but when I put on my Yuasa YUA1200901 Smart Shot Battery Charger it says they are not fully charged. I will be using my Smart charger on the 6 batteries that this charger would not charge and see if there is a difference. I will update this review in 3 days

I ordered two of these batteries for my electric bicycle. I needed the dimensions that the descrption says i.e. 5.94 in (length) x 4.37 in (width) x 2.56 in (depth). They arrived in good condition in four days, but they were approximately 5.94 x 3.85 x 3.85 and they wouldn't come close to fit into the case for my device. When I contacted Chrome they insisted that they had sent the batteries according to the dimensions in the website description. They did take the return without argument so I sent them back. Cost $11 to ship them back but at least I will get most of my money back. I bought the correct batteries elsewhere. Can't understand why they didn't offer to ship me the correct size and pay for shipping. The problem was entirely their fault but they never admitted it. They were polite and gave me a refund so not too much damage done. But I wouldn't order these thinking they are 5.94 in (length) x 4.37 in (width) x 2.56 in (depth).

I had my doubts as to whether a bluetooth passenger to rider headset would work, this one does and does very well. I have ridden many many years with shouting as the only communication method, and it worked well. But in this eara where not only helmets but full face hemets are common and in some cases required the 'old school' shouting method was in need of a review and update.

I bought the Cardo unit a bit on impulse but as soon as I charged up the units and installed the mics and earphones we took it out for a test ride. It worked great.

I can't comment on the cell phone functionality, I'm not yet ready to think about using a cell phone on a motorcycle, I only rarely use it in car. And I have not used the iPod with it yet so I'll add that later. I can say that as an intercom from rider to passenger it works just like being on the phone, it's clear and even at 75mph on the freeway on a Harley with a nice exhaust drone it was very easy for us to hear each other.

If you are in the market for a unit like this I would recommend giving this one a try. Be foreward however it will change the dymanics of your ride :-)

I own two of these, though mine are badged with the Rhino logo (as far as I can tell, it's the same product from the same manufacturer, with the same model number, just badged for a different U.S. importer) and have been using them for several months to charge my Nook Simple Touch readers. They seem to work just fine for what I'm using them for. I'll probably pick up another one for my next USB-powered project.

Before a recent 3,000 car trip, I forgot to order a 12-volt car charger for my Nokia N97. Fortunately, I did have a 120-volt Nokia N97 charger in my laptop bag, and had a 12-volt to 120-volt converter for my netbook, so I was able to get by. [Finding a Nokia N97 charger, with the almost proprietary USB style connector at Radio Shack or Walmart is not going to happen].

When I returned from the trip, I ordered a "no name" aftermarket 12-volt charger for the phone. It turned out to be unreliable. That was a wasted $7.

I went back to Amazon, and bought this official Nokia charger for about $10 more than the aftermarket chargers. I was kicking myself for initially "saving" $10 for a no-name charger for my very expensive phone. What if it had damaged the phone? I had spent a lot of money for a very high end phone, and then risked killing it by using a $10 cheaper charger. Where's the logic in that? Why risk your $600 phone by using a $7 charger, when the official Nokia charger is just $10 more. D'oh!

This charger works as it should. It charges the phone quickly, doesn't do anything weird to the car radio, and doesn't get hot. The peace of mind, knowing that it isn't likely to damage the phone, or start a fire in the car, is worth far more than the extra $10 cost. I wouldn't know about doing a technical review of this charger. Somewhere, I read that there's a microchip logic in the charger. If so, that could have been the problem with the cheap charger. This one works very well, doing what it's supposed to do. I didn't give it 5 stars because Nokia is almost certainly overcharging...(Get it? Overcharging?)for this item.

The N97 comes with an adapter which should have let me use my old Nokia car charger with my N97. In practice the adapter and charger wouldn't stay connected while driving. The slightest movement meant my phone wasn't charging.

But now that I have the charger it seems to do it's job brilliantly. Perhaps not as fast as the wall charger that comes with the phone but no slouch either.

Sony CR2032 Lithium Ion Battery

I used this battery in my scale and it died in a matter of weeks. The prior battery lasted for a year. Very disappointing.

This initially worked, but died within the month (used in a bathroom scale). The original battery had lasted 4 years. Assuming batteries bought from this supplier, or through Amazon in general, are probably older and inventory is not checked for quality control.

These batteries did not work for me. I do believe that they must have been sitting around for some years because they had very little charge to them. Not one worked for more then a few minutes. I had to purchase from another place and they (at the other place) had the expiration date clearly marked on them. They also worked without a hitch. When a battery doesn't work on a product such as 3D glasses, it's more then unfortunate. It's mis-leading and can become fretful. I was concerned that a 150.00 pair of 3D glasses were defective. No battery should be sold without a clearly marked expiration date and without it being tested if they've been left to sit around so long.

I guess I was expecting a little more of a device charger for the price. First off, the actual item doesn't look like the picture. For a Gigabeat, that's a huge problem because the charging port is on the side. Gomadic's "Tip Exchange" makes the problem even worse because now you have about 3 inches of solid plug and adapter sticking 90 deg out of the side of the unit. This makes it awkward to store in a console or glove box. It will charge the unit with a completely dead battery which the USB charger won't do, and it has an overcharge protection that is nice. Provide a 90 deg bend adapter and an actual picture of the product and I would give it a 5 star rating.

I bought this to use in a rental car in Italy. The electrical connection in the rental car was not on the dashboard but inbetween the passenger and driver's seats. The cord was too short to work. It would unwind-stretch to make the connection to the GPS on the windshield but the tension was so tight that the GPS was pulled off of the windshield. The cord was worthless during the entire trip.

Bought this meter to monitor a deep cycle battery in a camper. It was easy to wire correct polarity unlike a previous one that I ordered and returned to Amazon. Easy to wire and it worked flawlessly for 2 weeks. It stopped giving an accurate reading for unknown reasons..Product is way overpriced for the shortlived performance . I was surprised when I received the indicator and saw how tiny it was. Hooked it up with a toggle switch that I purchased separately and it worked fine for a short while..I thought that my battery (a $650.00, 250ah, 12 volt agm solar batt) was faulty. Ran checks on my other batteries and got the same results and so concluded that the purchased indicator was faulty..Don't buy the product.

The indicator has four connection points. They are marked + negative and C ignore the blank one. As the instructions state. Attach pos to pos and neg to neg. directly onto the battery. Then attach C to the positive connection on your accessory or whatever you're running.

Wasnt hard to wire up and saves the guessing out of how much life is left in the trolling motor battery

its messy, and you should wear gloves. I patched a rather wide crack in my windshield washer fluid tank on my car. I wanted to try this fiberglass patch before i went looking for a junkyard or aftermarket tank, and started removing components under the hood. I watched a few youtube videos on how to patch fiberglass, and i was able to do a rather nice job on the tank i needed to patch.

I recommend this for anyone who knows what they're doing. Its a good solution to an annoying problem

I purchased this product for pennies......literally, and it was worth every cent :o). I think the postage was more than the actual cost and it works great for me. I've only had to use it twice. I had a little difficulty fitting the plug into the port because it doesn't go in as easy as the ear jack that came with the phone, but once I figured that out it was smooth sailing.

I definitely would recommend to anyone willing to splurge a few cents for a quality product.
