It works when it is on battery only. It takes 32GB of use in about 2 minits. If you get in a wreck remember to pull it out as soon as you can, or turn it off.

I bought these for my 8 year old daughter to use when she goes out on her bike. Great concept however, the batteries have never fully charged and/or kept a charge. We tried replacing the rechargeable batteries with regular aaa batteries and those don't work either. Very frustrating and disappointing.

The radios work well as long as you are in open area. Inside of a little bit of forested area the signal is broken and sometimes inaudible. Radios do not work while being charged.

Got these as cheep two way radios for 5-yr old daughter. She seems to like them ok but they have a beep with every transmission. Very annoying so they stay on top of fridge most of the time. No option to turn off. Recommend getting ones without automatic beeps or spend more money for option to turn off. Very bad decision to turn on beep. Should have just not had that option turned on.

UPG UB1290 12V 9AH Sealed Lead Acid Battery F1 Terminal

This battery replaces the (2) in the 1500W Geeksquad UPS from a few years ago. Seems to work fine, but comes just as in the photo, bare leads and all. Hopefully will last as long as the original batteries did.

Cheaply made and I think will not last long (I already see that scooter doesn't have the range it had when battery is new)

But you get what you pay for..

It works for the purpose I bought it and if it lasts one season good.

Yuasa YUAM327BS YTX7L-BS Battery

I bought a new Honda SH150i this Summer (2011). By this Fall the battery was discharged and even using a proper trickle charger it would no longer hold a charge. I did some research and found that this was the right battery and ordered it (rather than waiting for Honda service). It arrived quickly and I was able to add the acid myself. I did it in a well ventillated area, wore rubber gloves, had water and baking soda nearby in case of a spill. The system they have for adding the acid, if you follow the directions, is slick, not a drop of acid was spilled (I'd still recommend the precautions though). One thing not in the directions, and that you'll rarely see mentioned, is that you should let the battery sit for an hour after waiting the allotted time for the acid to empty (the tubes were bone dry before the end of the time they recommend). I'd still let it sit the amount of time they say and then let the battery sit for at least an hour, maybe better overnight, after you seal the battery, for the glass matting inside the battery to completely absorb the acid, *before* you then trickle charge it (using the appropriate charger) to put its' first full charge on it. My SH150i scooter has started immediately ever since. If any bike is going to be sitting for more than a week or two at a time, consider getting the proper trickle charger and leaving the battery on the trickle charger to maintain the battery.

Update 05/06/2013: This battery is still going strong in my Honda SH150i

This battery has been great for my Honda Rebel 250. Installation was very easy. The instructions were obviously translated from Japanese, but that's easily overlooked for the quality. I gave this item 5 stars because of the price. After a couple weeks worth of use, the only suggestion I would make for the product is to make the cord at least 6 inches longer. However, after conditioning the cord (stretching it back and forth like a rubber band for a few minutes), the length is acceptable. I can now easily talk on the phone while the phone is plugged in.

I was very wary about ordering this online, especially with the price being so inexpensive. The ones in the ATT store were approx $20.) Plus there were several reviews I read that were not so favorable. Not only was this charger less than 1/2 the ATT store price, it worked and fit perfectly. Thank you Amazon!

Chose Sirius for content reasons, after shopping extensively for Sirius PNP receivers, chose the JVC unit for the following reasons:

-wanted a second generation receiver from mfr who had first gen experience (JVC 2000 supersedes 1000)

-reputation for very good antenna

-rumor that soon-to-be release boombox will be superb

I was not disappointed. Installed in car with antenna on dash and experienced very few drop outs despite less than optimal antenna location. Did notice a bit of hiss with the integral FM modulator, so opted for direct connection to my "MP3" Aux input on the car stereo... beautiful sound with the direct connection. Screen indeed readable in bright sunlight. Channel/category switch on the unit a bit clunky (though buttons on remote are fine = "real buttons")... other than this I'm highly satisfied. The 18 presets on the unit more than enough for me and suction cup dash/window mount that comes with the car kit seems bulletproof and very tight (especially vs. double-stick tape approach with other units). Nice thing about the PDA form factor when used in the car is that it's easy to slip in your pocket if leaving the car in a theft-prone area. Unit runs warm but nowhere near as hot as I thought it might given other online comments.

Sirius programming seems a bit more oriented to older demographic vs. XM. I liked (1) extensive news including PBS/BBC/PRI/World, (2) reggae/tropical/vacation channels, (3) tighter music genres in general (vs. more thematic on XM)... and in 2006 am looking forward to Howard Stern's move from FM to Sirius. Only programming on XM not on Sirius that I miss is MSNBC. Also note that Sirius traffic/weather is slightly less convenient since they put two cities on each channel, cycling coverage through each.

Looking forward to getting the boombox for the JVC KT-SR2000 soon... this appears to be simple, clean aesthetically (would look ok at home) and has a bass-boost capability... a/c adapter and antenna with 20' cord included.

I have had the JVC KT-SR2000 with Sirius service for about 6 weeks now. It is a lot of fun and provides constant variety while driving on a long commute. But the ideal I had envisioned about satellite radio did not come to fruition.

PLUSES:

Excellent selection of stations, including many sub-genres of Rock, Jazz, Classical, News, etc.

Easy to set up with the car kits

Compact size head unit

MINUSES:

Sound quality through the FM transmitter is terrible. The music stations sound a little better than AM, and the news/talk stations sound worse than AM (I am listening to this through a Lexus OEM stereo). If I compare to my iPod with Belkin FM transmitter, there is no comparison the iPod sounds as good or better than any FM station.

Sound quality through the home kit, with direct connection to home stereo system, is also poor. There is little dynamic range, the music tracks sound compressed, the bass is muddy, and the highs are truncated.

The music stations have annoying DJ's in between songs what for? Everything I need to know (artist, song title) is right there on the screen. Get rid of the DJ's, eliminate their salaries, and instead lower the monthly service charge!

Maybe the in-dash Sirius units sound better? I hope so.

I recently bought this radio, primarily for my car, but also got the home dock. It was easy to set up and install both types of kit. Unfortunately, the sound quality was very poor in both configurations. The FM modulator for the car was pretty close to hopeless. It only has maybe 10 channels. I found one that was free, luckily. But even with a clear channel, the sound had a terrible hiss, that went up and down in volume at apparent random even when everything was stationary. The occupied channels actually worked about as well (still lots of hiss)except when the underlying channel broke through. Even disregarding the hiss, the sound quality on the music was not very good.

I thought the problem was probably with the FM modulator, so I tried it in the home dock, connected to a *very good* home hi-fi system. The hiss was gone, but the sound quality was completely unacceptable. For whatever reason, this particular receiver doesn't like the compression artifacts very much. Satellite radio quality is, AT BEST, about like an average MP3, with highly compressed signals (some channels better than others). This receiver seemed to exacerbate the effect, and it sounded a lot like a tin can and string "telephone" most of the time. It was vert irritating very quickly.

The form factor (about the size of a modern walkie-talkie) was fine, and pretty easy to fit in the car. It also seemed to be pretty solidly built. But all of that is completely moot if it doesn't work properly.

I returned the receiver and both kits the next day.

I chose this model because it came with the only magnetic mounting antenna I could find. It's a breeze to switch to other vehicles. All the other units I looked at had an adhesive mounted antenna (for cars), too permanent for me and I have 3 cars.

The best part about this unit is that when you attach the included FM antenna wire to the thing (like it says in the manual)it can be picked up by every radio on all 3 stories of my house and on my walkman in my backyard.

I was initially worried about getting sat. radio because I like listening to my walkman while out working in the yard. The transmitter reaches all over my yard great and I can even tune in on a radio out in my shed with the unit on in my house. I keep it in an upstairs bedroom on the top floor of my house and it reaches to the tuner in the basement fine.

I love the programming as well and would highly recommend this unit to anyone because of its portability between vehicles with one antenna and its transmitter that whill cover every radio in your house (and yard).

I was told at the store this product has an excellent fm modulator. Very wrong. This was the reason i bought it and am very disappointed. Do not buy unless you have a direct hook up.

So far i'm impressed with the spotlight, it works as described. It has the most perfect weight for carrying around, just light enough to not being annoying. I would say the only con to this product is the charge time, it's 24 hrs, right long wait for 40 minutes of use. But it's worth it in the long run when you need the spotlight. Also, it holds it's charge better than listed, the little light lasts almost 7-8 hrs solid on, and the spotlight itself lasts 35 minutes solid on till a dimmer view of the light. I would recommend to anyone looking for a spotlight you need on the boat (dc recharge), and for walking through the woods at night.

positive: great idea to put a 3-bulb LED light in addition to the powerful one. Also, the adjusting handle allows you to set down aimed at a specific angle.

negitive: 1)somewhat bulky, 2)NOT as powerful as my 2-million CP spot that I keep in my car and 3)batterie recharging time is 16-18 hrs-way too long!

I was looking for a flashlight with a top handle and this one fit the bill. The price was right and I am basically very happy with what I received. I am disappointed with the fact that when you plug in the flashlight for charging, that there is no LED indicator for when the charging cycle is completed. The fact that it is all black and not gray and black as shown in the picture, is a very minor concern. I haven't used it very much but it appears to have a long range beam that reaches across my valley here in the mountains of North Carolina, appears to travel 150 yards on a clear night.

That said, I could never give any of these kinds of "FRS/GMRS" two-way radios a five-star rating. None of them deserve it, nor, given the limitations placed on this radio type by the F.C.C., could any of them deserve a rating better than "mediocre", or "average". That is the limitation of this kind of power in this part of the spectrum. And it is true for any of these radios, regardless of what brand name is on them, although for quality, surely Motorola is the best of their type.

THIRTY-FIVE MILES? Ha! Maybe, just maybe, in a total vacuum, at a temperature of absolute-zero, you could get one of these radios to communicate 35 miles, but not anywhere on this planet that I can think of. Be realistic and you'll be satisfied. But if you expect 35 miles of range, or even 20% of that, you WILL be disappointed. I bought a pair of these radios, and I am as satisfied as I can be. They are good for what they are, at the price you pay.

But, if all you really need is a radio that CAN communicate for a distance not to exceed, say, two miles, then these radios are certainly the best of their kind I've ever seen. So, take them for what they are worth, and believe me, these Motorolas are hands-down the best of their kind. But none of these radios lives up to their advertising, and never will. It is simply not possible at the rated power in the alloted portion of the radio spectrum.

I purchased these radios after extensive research discovering they are the best 2 way consumer radio motorola makes. once they arrived i charged them fully and followed the instructions to the T. Tested them in the country with nothing in the way of the 2 radios and they didnt make it past 4 miles. in the small little town i live in of 150 people, the radios managed to cut out after 3 blocks and no more communication. also the operating temps of these radios are insane. 20 degrees F and they shut down and refuse to transmit. i was using the hi power channel transmitting at 2 watts as well as the hi power ptt button. called motorola and they told me that they dont make them even. come to find out they hired a company giant international to build them. motorola only builds their business class radios is what they told me. i returned the items to amazon as they did no good. i mentioned that i would at least want to get 1 mile out of a 35 mile radio. guess not. im now trying out the much better looking midland gtx1000vp4 with a transmit power that ranges up to 5 watts! hoping to have better luck with midland. take my advice and dont waste your time with these supposed top of the line latest motorola radios.. they are more than a joke. i purchased a pair of cheap $20 midlands for kids to use in the woods and they worked better...in colder weather (by the way midland operates in -22F).

I bought three pairs to keep in touch with my kids and other family on our ski trip. Suffice it to say that when these radios got cold they simply did not work. I could hear the others (using other models) but could not transmit. Useless in my opinion. FYI it was below 30 deg F where these were used. I also had pair of Midlands and they worked fine all the time but could not get the Midlands to talk with these Motorolas even on the same channel/sub with Motorola Qt disabled. All of this resulted in a very frustrating experience.

Otherwise, the Motorolas have good volume and clarity but to me reliability is everything. Range seemed to be about as good as the Midlands I was using (GXT1000VP4.

Lastly, the included earpiece and corded mic was tough to use as Motorola put the mic right next to the button, so care had to be taken when pushing the transmit button to not cover the mic.

I will be returning these and looking for another solution.

I researched these radios on multiple sites and was surprised by the wide range of opinions. The biggest criticism seemed to be lack of range. The other hunters on the deer lease used various Motorola radios with satisfactory results and for ease of communicating with them I decided to purchase them through Amazon. We hunt in central Texas on an approximately 5000 acre ranch, with mixed terrain (woods, fields, flat and hills). These radios seemed to be more than adequate when communicating with the other hunters. The rechargeable batteries seemed to provide more than enough stand-by time and the ability to supplement them with standard batteries is a plus. The only reason that I didn't give them five stars is the short period of use. While I may find other issues over time and with more severe service, these radios had good range in the field.

This was not at all a good device. The arms that are suppose to slide in and out to fit your style phone are made cheaply. The left one worked fine but when first sliding out the right, all the little plastic teeth that hold the slider in its locked position all brole off, therefore not allowing you to use the device at all.

I am very disappointed with this product. I really did like the idea of the versaile directions it could go in. I guess I have to shop else where.

I needed a way to mount GPS to my Can-Am Spyder motorcycle. I've been hesitant about a purchase fearing the mount would not attach with enough strength to withstand use bouncing around on a motorcycle. I took a gamble and purchased this one.

I have used it on two trips so far and the thing won't come off! I've had to move the adjustable arm (without removing the mount) to see it better in bright sunlight, to make more room for turning, and using it at night. At speeds (with bumps) of 67 mph this works like a charm. I'm not worried that it will come loose and my expensive phone will go with it.

This is one very stickable mount that stays put where others fail.
