I bought two of thes since I run dual batteries on my power wheels one worked once, now it aborts every time before full charge. The second one never worked, the power led comes on but the charging never does and never charges. Took the second one back and exchanged it for another one with the same results so after three of these chargers one works half the time.

I bought this to charge and recharge my kids power wheels battery. I used it 1 time, got the full charge. I then bought a second battery so the kids can run the car for longer periods, and the charger failed immediately. Called Shumacher support number, and they were perplexed by how the charger was acting, instructed me to go ahead and plug it back in and let it set until it started charging. It never got there, the red L E D power light just flashed slowly, never reset, or charged another battery. I have since requested a return number, and am awaiting instructions to get this pos fixed. it should work more than 1 time.......

I found about this product after contacting Schumacher's customer support about the correct setting to use in one of their bigger chargers (which I've been using for a couple of years with great results!), when charging a small battery for a Power Wheels. The customer support rep suggested looking into this particular model because it has been designed exactly for that purpose, and I am happy to admit that she was 100% right! The different connectors, the plug-in-and-forget operation, etc., make it the best charger you can get for small batteries. I can charge Power Wheels and Peg Perego batteries just by switching the end connectors, and they both last a loooooooooong time after being charged. I expect that this charger will also help extend battery life, since it's supposed to charge them the right way and avoid overcharging.

I bought this after borrowing my father's same charger for about 4 months. Charges the 12 volt batter for our riding toy. Display indicates when 80% charged and 100% charged. I have a Garmin Nuvi 765T in front of me and there's no place the pictured connector would fit. The 765T uses a mini-USB plug for external charging. If I'm not mistaken this applies to most current and recent Garmins.

This wall charge is something I got as an auxiliary aide when I bought my GPS so that if needed, I could charge my Garmin GPS from an ordinary 110V AC wall socket if I had to do some extensive programming in the house, or if the GPS hadn't been used for a while and it needed to be charged to be ready for a trip.

It turns out that I have never had to use it! The battery in the Garmin GPS holds a charge sufficiently well that a wall charger wasn't necessary. But the dealer sold it at a good price, delivered it quickly and it was nicely packaged. So, kudos for the dealer for being an honorable merchant!

The unit arrived in a very reasonable period of time.

Short instruction manual contained inadequate how-to information (green attempt by Garvin, they say). Other than that, with the information available on line, the unit does what it claimed.

I have had the nuvi 780 for about a month and yesterday, received a lowbattery notification on-screen, which replaced the map while I was using it for directions to a distant location.

The low-battery notification occurred while the unit was plugged into a working DC cigarette lighter outlet in the car and required the nuvi to be turned off since the notification replaced the on-screen map.

The on-screen information is excellent easy to read and interpret.

The mounting hardware supplied with the unit is excellent in all respects.

The nuvi speaker audio is rather poor quality but the use of a cassette adapter with the car stereo is very good. (I have not tried to use the NUVIs FM output to the car radio but reviews say it is too lacking in power to be useful and my antenna is rear mounted.)

The NUVIs routing voice notifications are bit difficult to understand but they are much better than nothing; it requires getting used to.

Check to see if MS Direct information (trial version comes with the nuvi) is available in your area if you want this service. (It isn't in my area but seems to be available in most or all larger metropolitan areas.)

I got this to use with some small appliances while I'm studying in Europe. At first this thing was completely silent. After a couple of weeks however, it started to make some noise. If I leave it on too long, or absentmindedly use it as a footrest it gets really REALLY loud.

Also, a helpful warning for anyone using this, there are two outlets on the transformer, one for 120v and the other for 220v. Always make sure you're plugging your appliances into the right one. I did this and almost lost my coffeemaker.

I bought this Transformer almost 4 years ago. It was a piece of junk. I plugged it in and it wouldn't work. I called the company and sent it back to them (paid shipping myself). They later returned it back to me telling me they are sending a new one but they were clearly lieing as I could see that it was the exact same one (from the way I had packed). TERRIBLE customer service. They were very rude in subsequent calls. I gave up after that as I dint want to keep throwing money in shipping back and forth.

Stanley Simple Start Battery Booster

I charged the unit fully when it arrived. It did become slightly warm to the touch, but it did not get hot at all.

When my 2007 Honda CRV's car battery was sufficiently discharged to a level when it would not start, I followed the instructions on the unit's 12V cable tag. After about 15 minutes being plugged-in and attached to my vehicle's 12V outlet, the unit's display informed me that I could now attempt starting-up the car. I tried it and it started-up successfully!

The next month, my 2001 Volvo V70 station wagon's car battery was now sufficiently discharged that it would not start the engine. This time the unit took the maximum 30 minutes to boost the Volvo's battery. I guess the Volvo has a larger but older battery as compared to the CRV. But the engine was able to start-up too.

I am no expert on car batteries and boosting, but it seems to me that this unit is not half bad!

My unit didn't work right out of the box. When I called tech support to make sure I was doing everything right, I was greeted by a very rude operator who tried to tell me the unit had been discontinued for a number of years and was out of warranty. When I confronted him with the copyright on the manual being just 1 year old, I was told that I should deal with the retailer. I had higher expectations of Stanley and they will be getting a letter from me. This company they have sold their name to (so has Black & Decker and another big name I forget) is destroying their reputation.

I have a 2011 Volt. It seems there is some software bug that causes the 12V battery to discharge under certain conditions. After this happened to me the first time I bought this Stanley battery booster. So when my Volt decided to die again yesterday I hooked up the Stanley to it and let it charge the car's battery for about 30 minutes until it had no more power left. I went in the car and tried to start the car but it was only half alive and all the systems wouldn't come on-line. Fortunately this happened in my garage so I was able to then charge the car's battery with my Sears charger and then the car was ready to go. So at least for my car this Stanley unit did not "save the day" for me.

I purchased the CTek Multi U.S. 3300 Battery Charger for use on my three automobiles and riding lawn mower. I have the Ctek 56-261 Comfort Connect 3/8" Eyelet cable on my SUV and mower batteries. It is comforting to know that I can leave my mower charging all night or longer without removing the battery from the mower and it is perfectly safe. I am ordering two more cables to put in my wife's SUV and daughter's pick-up. If they need to charge their battery while I am away all they need to do is snap the connector to the charger's cable, plug in the charger then set the mode on the charger to Automobile. No worry about reverse polarity, sparks from clamps, improper grounding or clamps coming off. The 3/8" eyelets fit on the battery post clamps on all my vehicles. No need of boring out the hole to fit the bolt on the clamps. Plus, if you are away from home and need a jump the connectors can be left in place while standard jumper cables are used. Another plus, more so for the charger is it is so small you can take it with you on a trip where as a standard charger takes up too much space. This is a great system and the tech support is top notch. The only negative is the cable is somewhat short but I am sure that is by design to keep it away from moving engine parts while the vehicle is in use.

I bought 2pcs for my motorcycles and had a hard time to route the connector from the battery compartment to the outside where is convenient to plug into the charger. The hole of the eyelet was actually too large however it could still be tighten to the battery. Other than that it is a perfect connector for my CTEK charger.

The CTEK 56-261 Comfort Connect 3/8" Eyelet was really an M8 (8mm) model. The eyelets had to be enlarged with a dremel tool to make it fit a 3/8" post. Don't try to drill out the eyelet or you'll probably destroy the connector. Grind it out instead. It seems to work fine once it fits the post. I only gave it two stars because I don't appreciate being mis-lead by the description.

Black & Decker BM3B 6V and 12V Battery Charger / Maintainer

This was the least expensive battery maintainer I was able to find. It comes with a variety of connection options, just like the more expensive maintainers do. It is switchable between 6V and 12V. Most battery maintainers either only support 12V or require a different model to maintain a 6V battery.

On the negative side, the 6V/12V selector feels cheap and each time you switch it, you wonder if it's going to break. It might actually be solid, but it sure doesn't feel that way.

Also, unlike other chargers like the Battery Tender Jr., this one will severely overheat very small batteries. I can't find any specifications for the minimum battery size, but I would assume that anything that can't safely be charged at 1.2A should not be connected to this device.

Lastly, it doesn't seem to support AGM batteries. Newer motorcycle and PWC batteries are of this type. So this is the most serious limitation. The current Battery Tender Junior model does.

If you need a charger that can support both 6V and 12V or know you will never need to maintain an AGM or very small battery, this is a very low cost charger that works perfectly for those applications. It's perfect for traditional sealed lead acid or wet cell batteries used in many PWCs, motorcycles, cars, golf carts, electric toy cars.

I bought this from Home Depot for about $20.00 and use it to maintain my motorcycle battery. Compact, LED indicators and all the connectors you would need. I plug mine directly into the cigarette lighter socket on my bike which is connected straight to the battery. Worth every penny!!

I bought this from Amazon to use on my BMW sports car to maintain the car battery during winter storage. The charger is compact, has LED indicators and all the connectors you would need. Mine is plugged directly into the battery post cables using one of the many supplied connectors which is connected straight to the battery. That leaves both the clips and cigarette lighter ones available for other uses. Worth every penny!!

Schumacher XC10 SpeedCharge 10 Amp Battery Charger

In the past 7 months I have returned two of this charger. It stops working if you use it often. I have a Volks Wagen Camper, so I have to often recharge my battery. Both Units Failed after a few months of use.

I would buy something else, Dont Buy This Model..!!

left my key on, my honda's battery is only 1 year old, it was almost dead, but it barely started, drove it around for about am hour running here and there. Then I hooked this thing up, set it to 6 amps (turtle?) and it said it would go to float charge after it was charged. After about 2 or 3 hours, I went to the garage and it smelled like battery acid, and I could here the battery boiling. Put the fluke meter on it ... 16.1 volts!!! I did some research, and the max equalizing charge voltage should be is 15.5v No way, its going back.

This is the second Schumacher charger that is going to the dump for me. The 1.5A says there's a problem with the battery on every battery I've put it on. This one charged the first battery I hooked it to. It boiled the second battery. The third battery was a 6V and sparked as soon as the charge started. I don't think the automatic voltage detection works and I think it sends too high voltage even on a 12V. I will be searching for a different brand.

CTEK 56-260 Comfort Connect 1/4" Eyelet

For the longest time CTEK has aimed at the european car market with 8, 10 mm eyelets, DIN dashmount adapters, etc. For the first time we have their jack with 1/4" (YES INCH) eyelets. This makes for great compatibility on power panels with 1/4" hardware that never fit right with mm sized eyelets.

The 1/4 rings allow you to install a permanent jack for long term storage or recharging dead batteries on american cars. This is not the version with the red, green, yellow LEDs to indicate charge status on the battery those are higher priced by a few dollars and allow you to read the charge status of the battery by watching which LED flashes.

None of the LED indicator models that I have reviewed (priced higher than the simple jack like this) have american hardware yet, so if you want that feature just cut the xx mm ring off, strip the wire back and crimp on the connector which best fits your fuseblock. The blinking LEDs do not draw much power from the battery due to the brief flash, so you can ignore the power loss.

I have the weathertech branded charger, that apparently is a CTEK charger. The comfort connect is a bit more sturdy than the typical pigtail. The length of this connector is perfect for my Ducati 848. It is hidden just inside the fairing but accessible.

Works great, using one on my wife's Honda 750 Aero and the one that came witht the chareeger on my Honda vtx 1300c. Easy to connect. I tuck mine in behind the side panel on the left side, so its not just hanging down from the bike, then just take the side panel off to plug it in. I may secure with a tie eventually, but it doesn't seem to go anywhere. Maybe now my batteries won't keep dying!

this is an attachment for a trickle charger which did not charge a car battery.
