I was worried that it might not be solid as it holds an expensive phone that has become an important part of my life.

So far, so good. The mount seems solid and well designed. The phone rests in a rubberized fitted depression inside the case and the hinged front plate locks down on top. It is very secure and well fitted. The part that holds the phone is snapped onto the mount. I was worried that it would be a problem but the locking mechanism seems very solid. I have been on a few rides already with this mounted on the handle bars of my mountain bike. I ride almost exclusively on pavement but I do ride off road a little. The device has survived while riding over curbs, bumps, potholes, and gravel. I have had it out in the rain and it is very waterproof. I trust it to do its job.

This case feels very solid and well made, minus the clear plastic film that covers what would be the front of your phone and the rear camera. The film feels as though you could poke your finger through it. Though I suppose it can't be too thick in order to retain the touch screen functionality. I would give it a 4.5 if I could, it fits my Galaxy S III like a glove.

The bicycle mount also seems to be constructed well. There's padding on the inside of the clamp, so you get a snug fit on your handlebars. There's even a little rubber cover to put over the exposed portion screw that tightens the clamp.

It takes a good deal of force to snap the quick release mechanism into the back of the case. You will get a very audible click once it is properly inserted. This allows you to remove the case from the mount without having to take the phone out. The quick release also prevents the case from falling off the mount. I have this on a mountain bike and didn't have to think twice about whether or not this could handle the terrain.

I haven't had a chance to use this in the raid yet, but it does appear to be weatherproofed fairly well. Do not submerge this in water with your phone in it, it's weatherproof not waterproof!

If you are looking for something to hold your Galaxy S3 while riding your bike, I strongly recommend this mount. Although they claim it is not waterproof, the case keep my phone dry when I was stuck riding in a sudden down pour. The screw included to hold the case to your handlebars is a little short. The case fit perfectly around my son's Giant, but would not on my Trek. I simply went to Lowes and bought a longer screw (4mm X 50mm). The mount now fits perfectly on my Trek.

This heavy duty case and handlebar mount is a great hands-free way to utilize a bike ride app on your smartphone while riding. The rugged case seems strong enough to withstand a ground level crash or drop, although fortunately I can't yet speak from experience on this. Yes the screen cover is thin, but it has to be in order for you to still be able to use the touchscreen! It even has a headphone port so that you can put your earbuds in and listen to music or take an emergency phone call without having to remove the phone from its mount. The case and the mount are two separate pieces with a quick disconnect so when you get to where you're going, a quick push of a button slides the phone and case right off the mount.

The only negative thing I have found so far is that the clockwise/counterclockwise swivel is a bit loose (not the handlebar mount, but the axis that allows you to rotate the phone between upright and horizontal positions). It doesn't really move during road biking or cruising, but every so often a big bump such as hopping a curb will cause the phone to tilt a few degrees sideways. Also due to its size I find the case a bit impractical for everyday use but it literally takes about 2 or 3 seconds to put the case on or take it off.

All in all, it was money well spent in my opinion. I commute to work and school by bicycle so being able to safely have greater access to my phone helps break up the monotony of my daily ride.

I bought this mainly becuase of the price. I got the item promptly. After using it for a week, I figured that the charging stops if the phone is in certain positions. I thought it is a bad piece and contacted the seller. Seller was prompt to send a replacement. After about a week, same issue with the replacement unit. I think there is some kind of fundamental issue with the product and I would recommend to spend few more dollars and get a more reliable unit. I would not recommend the product.

What a piece of garbage. I bought this so I could charge my laptop and cell phone while traveling in Uganda for 2 months. I would have checked it out before I left, but where was I going to find a Ugandan style outlet to plug it into? Once overseas, with no backup plan in place, I plug it into the wall socket and a short "pop" and puff of smoke later it was gone. Now I'm stranded overseas with no power options for the next month and a half (except for the occasional rouge traveler I encounter who lends me their working converter). The worst part is, I'm not sure if I'll be home in time to return it.

Have not completely tested this yet. But be aware it will not charge an iphone from the USB port. This is because an Iphone requires 2V on both data lines to make the phone charge as well as the 5V and ground that it provides. (Thats really an Apple problem not Bestek, Apple likes to make it hard for others to make Iphone accessories). Not sure that the USB port will charge a Kindle but it looks as though it does but you get no indication that the Kindle is charging other than the battery level indicator rises. Again I am assuming that the Kindle requires some sort of voltage on the data lines probably different to the Iphone just to make things hard.

i use this to keep the kids gadgets going on trips over an hour or two... it has 2 wall outlet plugs that will power most anything short of a toast... and if you use the battery jumpers that come with it you can get alot more power (i havent tried those myself)

Basically, this peripheral is an expensive ($90) dongle that plugs into the power port in your car and connects to your phone (and other phones) via bluetooth. You can then either plug the dongle directly into your stereo via audio cable (short ~1 foot cable included) or it can also act as an FM transmitter. As far as I can tell, if you only want to stream via cable it doesn't matter if you have an iOS device or any other bluetooth enabled music device. I think you should be able to connect and stream music, though you will be lacking on a lot of the features of the device. I also haven't tried this yet so don't buy it with that specifically in mind as it is labeled as for iphone and ipod touch.

The dongle itself has just 2 jacks in the front of it, one for the audio cable and one for a USB cable. It says that it provides enough power to be able to charge the iphone / ipod as well as an iPad, if that's what you're hoping for. There are no buttons on the dongle to initiate a connection. This causes problems if you are listening to something while your car engine isn't on and then you turn it on. The connection will die and won't try to re-connect so the only thing you'll be able to do is either pull out your phone and tell it to reconnect or pull the adapter out of the port and plug it back in.

The device is controlled via your phone using an app from the app store. The app provides you the ability to find good radio frequencies that should best work with the FM transmitter and set the station the dongle will broadcast at. You can also use it to manage the currently playing song or handle the music that is currently playing. You can name your specific Tunelink device, set a default location (to help with FM frequency help) and set up options to automatically connect, automatically start playing, and even automatically load the TuneLink application when it connects.

An additional feature of this is the capability to have multiple people in the car connect to the adapter and share playback of the music through the Tunelink application. There are different modes that you can set it to to change how this works (automatically queuing, requesting to play something, etc). I have not tried this so I can't speak to how well it works.

Finally, the important bit of sound quality though I might not be the best judge. I have only used mine with a direct connection but it sounds as if my phone were directly connected to my stereo. I haven't tried out the FM transmitter portion yet, but one of the reviews on Amazon indicated it sounds "Very Very Decent" and other reviews I've read have said that it sounds really good, though suffers from the same problems as all FM transmitters.

Overall I'm VERY happy with my purchase. The convenience of just getting in my car and having my music start up as if I've got a CD in the player is great. Having the charge port on there makes it great for normal usage even if you're low on battery and it comes with a cable so no need to get another one or carry one with you. Sorry for the wall of text, but hope this helps.

This product gives me a high quality audio connection between my iPhone 3GS and Mazda3 factory stereo. It pairs easily from the first time and then I do not need to do anything to re-pair it. On short rides, I do not even take the phone out of my pocket as soon as I start the engine, in few seconds music just starts playing where it stopped last time. Of course I use AUX connection to my stereo to avoid any potential static in the city but I tried FM for a couple of days as well and it's very, very decent, volume is not much different from radio stations, and very clear sound if you take care to choose an empty frequency as you should anyway. Also, I set FM Volume to LOW for most clear sound. I can listen to Alan Parson's and Pink Floyd over FM just fine, to my surprise. Dynamic range and frequency response seem to be excellent.(this section of review is updated after weekend testing). I had other FM transmitters before and the sound never was that clear.

So I'm keeping it no questions; and it offers sharing the connection with other people in my car kids love that.

so, to be short, I am done with my car audio upgrades. Tunelink is not cheap but it's MUCH cheaper than to buy and install aftermarket ipod-enabled or bluetooth stereo; besides, it's portable. Oh yes, it charges the phone too, and even the cable is included.

Negatives? hmmm... well, it requires having an iPhone or touch.. though I've heard they have Droid version now.

This thing was fabulous while it worked. It dropped signal a couple of times but nothing that unplugging/replugging in didn't fix. Unfortunately, the return window (through Amazon)expired today and it just so happens that as I was leaving for a road trip it quit working entirely. It's not communicating with the radio OR the application. It still has a pretty blue light but yeah not what I bought it for.

Update #1 New Potato has a one year warranty on their products so once I am home from my road trip I will contact them and exchange the defective equipment.

Update #2 Contacting the company was quick and painless as was getting a replacement once I sent them the defective unit. The last unit worked for month so I can't really judge the new one until that time has passed but so far so good. At the very least, New Potato is great.

Update #3 (November 2012) In the last month I've no longer needed this but it still works all this time later.

I bought one through amazon and after a few months it would no longer aut connect. That quickly degenerated into no longer being able to connect more than once without deleting the pairing. The next time I would start the car it wouldn't pair again.

New Potato did replace it under warranty but after a few months the replacement is doing the same thing.

When it works, it's a fantastic device. But when it doesn't, it's amazingly frustrating.

For what this costs, it should be a lot more reliable. I suspect it suffers from heat issues and that doesn't make for long life in a device that is in a car.

I believe what they did here is purchased some low cost inserts that were probably stamped out in China in the mold for the old Galaxy S I judging on the size of it. Rather than create a new mold that would fit they just changed the label on the old one so it says Galaxy S II.

It's a UPS battery. It goes in a UPS box and you don't see it again until you change it in a couple of years. It does the same thing and meets the same standards as higher-priced options.

Item was delivered promptly from a US address. Battery case is solid, sealed, well constructed, conforms with standard dimensions (it fits in the UPS box), and has universal terminals (came with small spade and adapter to standard spade terminals). You can even read the writing on the side of the case leaving the clear impression it could have been manufactured in the US (by Americans who might otherwise be looking for a job).

I should have heeded an earlier review about connector posts being too small. Leads are shorter and considerably more narrow than OEM battery not allowing snug connection to UPS. Took a long time to get battery seated without one or both wires coming loose. While UPS passed self-test after finally getting battery installed, I have my doubts about its long-term operational effectiveness and the potential safety hazard that can occur with a loose connection. Product feature listing is misleading about compatibility. Save yourself a lot of headaches and either buy the OEM battery or a "true" replacement battery.

Black & Decker BM3B 6V and 12V Battery Charger / Maintainer

This was the least expensive battery maintainer I was able to find. It comes with a variety of connection options, just like the more expensive maintainers do. It is switchable between 6V and 12V. Most battery maintainers either only support 12V or require a different model to maintain a 6V battery.

On the negative side, the 6V/12V selector feels cheap and each time you switch it, you wonder if it's going to break. It might actually be solid, but it sure doesn't feel that way.

Also, unlike other chargers like the Battery Tender Jr., this one will severely overheat very small batteries. I can't find any specifications for the minimum battery size, but I would assume that anything that can't safely be charged at 1.2A should not be connected to this device.

Lastly, it doesn't seem to support AGM batteries. Newer motorcycle and PWC batteries are of this type. So this is the most serious limitation. The current Battery Tender Junior model does.

If you need a charger that can support both 6V and 12V or know you will never need to maintain an AGM or very small battery, this is a very low cost charger that works perfectly for those applications. It's perfect for traditional sealed lead acid or wet cell batteries used in many PWCs, motorcycles, cars, golf carts, electric toy cars.

I bought this from Home Depot for about $20.00 and use it to maintain my motorcycle battery. Compact, LED indicators and all the connectors you would need. I plug mine directly into the cigarette lighter socket on my bike which is connected straight to the battery. Worth every penny!!

I bought this from Amazon to use on my BMW sports car to maintain the car battery during winter storage. The charger is compact, has LED indicators and all the connectors you would need. Mine is plugged directly into the battery post cables using one of the many supplied connectors which is connected straight to the battery. I bought this to connect to my usb car charger.... I don't think that's what it is for. This is a great mini-5 Pin cable for my Garmin Nuvi 270. I used it to connect my Garmin GPS to my Mac in order to transfer maps of Japan (that I downloaded to my computer 1st) from my computer to my Garmin. It worked great.

I bought this Go Power! 95 watt solar kit from a local RV dealer early this year. I liked this panel because it was one of the smallest panels that I could find that still put out a lot of power. I have not had to worry about dead batteries since I had the kit installed on my travel trailer. The panel really does get power even in overcast days. This kit comes with a 25 amp charge controller so I can add more panels to the system down the road without changing the regulator, although I don't think I need to at this time. The display shows the voltage of the batteries and current that the panel is putting into my batteries. All in all the kit does what it claimed to do and I am very satisfied with the system.

First I must say the quality is top notch. The installation is a breeze. The instructions are clear and complete. The panel is compact in size. Now for the best part... I just completed a 2 week vacation (June/July) across the western states and I was confident I would have power to spare when dry camping and this system did not let me down. On clear days the panel was providing a charge from about 7am to 6pm. The unit is rated to provide 5.45 amps but from 10am to 4pm I was easily getting 5.7 to 5.8 amps more than its rated current. Even better now... on completely overcast days it was still providing from 1 to 2 amps of current. You can't go wrong with this system. The charger looks great, is of high quality and provides all the information you'll need. The wire is of high quality as well. There are cheaper systems but they are not worth it. This system delivers on its claims and then some, you'll not find that with cheaper systems. Beware when buying lesser quality solar systems.

I purchased this product and had it shipped with the idea of installing it before an upcoming vacation. Unfortunately, I received the package and found that the accessory kit ( regulator, brackets, wire, instructions, etc. ) was missing from the box. All I got in the box was the solar panel. I sent an email to the manufacturer and was sent the missing parts in just a few days. I was very impressed with the customer service I received from the manufactured and their prompt shipment of my missing parts. Amazon wanted me to send the item back and they would ship me a new one. That didn't fit into my time frame of installing before my vacation.

On the companies website there's a video for how to install a similar solar panel. I installed the Go Power 95 Solar Panel Kit based off this video. Installation was easy and mine installed much like the video. The only difference was having to buy screws for a rubber roof and Dicor sealant for the roof. I found the Dicor at a local Camping World. The kit comes with screws for a fiberglass roof but not for a rubber roof. After installation it was late in the day with heavy overcast, I was getting .6 amps. This was installed on a 26' travel trailer with dual batteries. I had no problems installing the solar panel and was able to connect the wires to my fuse box instead of running the wires all the way to the batteries. It would have been almost impossible to neatly run a wire from the panel to my batteries directly.

The next morning was sunny and I was pulling in 5.5 amps as advertised. I'm confident this solar panel will perform as expected for many years to come. My main reason for purchasing the panel is to keep the batteries charged as it sits in storage. Also to provide adequate battery charging when camping without power for a few days.

There are cheaper options on the market. I purchsed this one because I liked the clean look of the regulator and how it was made to go inside the RV. The small size of a 95 watt solar panel was also a plus. The regulator is easy to use and easy to read. I also appreciate that the cable included is UV protected and waterproof connections coming from it to the included cable.

I got my go power 95 with the solar kit and regulator/charger in less than 2 days from Amazon. Perfect condition. I followed the directions and it started working immediately, 4.7 amps in the 5pm sun. I will check back in in a month for update. So far its Great!!

I'm impressed. We're at the coast as I write and it's foggy. The panel is putting out .1 amp. I think it's great considering there is NO sun. The other day we used the crok pot to prepare our dinner. It ran all day and the battery stayed charged. I might add one more panel in the future.

I found out that you need to watch where you park. We had to relocate the motorhome after parking where lots of birds rested in the tree. What a mess. The panel was easy to clean by following the instructions.

Works as it should. Great replacement for my TomTom one 3rd edition. It was only recently that I realized I could even replace the battery. There are some good youtube tutorials out there if you search.

Battery arrived on time. Plugged it in to the GPS. After 5 hours on charger, would not hold charge. Tested battery on tester, no juice.

This was Very easy to install. No need to buy a new GPS just buy a new battery. Love it

The battery I got had a different connector on it than the one I took out of the unit. I had to cut it off and solder the one from the old battery on it.
