Car Charger for Pantech Matrix C740
Portable 2.5 Inches LCD HD 720P 6 IR LEDs Nightvision Car DVR Support HDMI Output
- Portable HD 720P Night Vision Car DVR With wide view angle HD image sensor.
- With 2.5 inch LTPS TFT 270 degrees rotated LCD display Screen for a good view.
- Support HD 1280 x 720 high resolution video ,Support motion detection.
- With 6 pieces IR LED lamp, support night vision function,With HDMI output port, support HD video output.
- Not only can record on your way of moving scenery, but also can take all kinds of trafficaccidents to be used as evidence of the exercise.
The one feature I really, really like about this camera is being able to turn the audio off. This makes it easy for the people riding with me to accept I have a camera in the car without them getting paranoid about our conversations being recorded. I also like being able to set the loop minutes, right now I have it set to 5 minutes which is plenty. I tried 11 minutes and I felt it was too long especially if I wanted to find a specific point on the video.
There was some quirky stuff that happened with it but that was at the beginning and they haven't happened since so I am going to chalk those up to growing pains.
I followed the directions about charging the battery for 12 hrs prior to use and letting it completely drain before recharging for the first 3 charges but the battery really can't hold a charge past 45 minutes. I just plug it into the lighter port anyways so losing power in the middle of a car ride doesn't happen. Another quirk I encountered was if I took the battery completely out of the camera unit and put it back in once or twice a day the camera started acting funny like not recording or turning on. I got the camera to work again by pulling the SD card out and putting it back in. So, I no longer take the battery out and I haven't had any problems since.
I am uploading a video with this review I've uploaded a video of the night vision on youtube search for Barrudaki it's on my channel under reviews. For the price it is a good camera, if you can live with the occasional quirk and try pulling the SD card when it does act up you can be happy with this camera. Not sure how to judge the night vision. I would say it is ok. If you encounter an issue try pulling the SD card out and reinserting it.
It records in .avi format which is good,it is compatible with other editing software I have.
**Update***
Not sure what is going on but looks like the seller changed the description of the dash cam. Not sure if they are selling the same model I have so just a heads up quality may defer.

I keep a dash cam running when ever I drive to catch those instant moments and it has already saved me a ticket from a crooked cop so when my dash cam died I purchased this one. I purchased another camera $10 cheaper and it lasted 4 months. Even though it looked IDENTICLE it was by far inferior. This one has a larger battery (5c rather than a 4c), it actually does have an HDMI output (the other said it did but did not), it feels heavier if that means anything (internal electronics?) it actually does accept a 32 gig memory card (says will accept up to 64 gig) where the other says it will accept up to a 32 gig does but will not. The menus seem more in-depth rather than something to seem like you have an operating system like the others. It is ever so slightly larger but maybe that is just my impression. It comes with many cords (HDMI adapter, audio/video adapter/power cord/PC USB cord where the other only comes with a power cord). Now, I just installed this camera to replace the other that died so I will be updating this review as the data changes for better or worse so stay tuned, but so far I am very impressed more so than the other when it first arrived.................... UPDATE: I discovered today, the first day of use that the display is much clearer and sharper in bright sun light then the other unit I had. Another impressive factor............ UPDATE: My unit stopped working after 5 days of use and after some diagnostics found the memory card failed. Also found that this unit does NOT accept 64 gig memory cards as it says. When my 32 gig memory card failed I purchased a 64 gig high quality and it would not accept it. I tried several others and still did not work so went back to a 32 gig and back in business. But also found that once I turn off the unit it will not turn back on till I cycle the power... WTF...That's cool, I want it to turn on and start recording when I start the engine. Final note: You may wish to give it a good over night charge before using it off the cycled power outlet otherwise you may have unpredictable issues on startup and shutdown in automatic mode. UPDATE: the auto cycle off when power loss has stopped working... no big deal... when I turn off the vehicle I can turn off the unit and when I start the vehicle it auto starts as its should.UPDATE 6/20/2013 It has died completely except for the power light... No screen operation at all... It's time to bury it...this camera if "good enough". you can read plates of the car that you are behind at a stop light but not if you are following the car at a safe distance on the freeway. the mic picked up a lot of vibration noises even though the suction mount is very solid. i couldn't get some of the features to work without crashing the unit and having to reset it. for example, if i opt to have the camera record for 10 more minutes after i turn off my car, i would need to power cycle (sometimes needing to unplug and remove the battery) the camera to get it working correctly again. another bug is that i could not get the screen to turn off automatically after a set amount of time of operation. i resorted to folding the screen up so that it's brightness does not distract me while driving at night. also, the motion detection is not sensitive enough for a reliable recording and it cannot be adjusted. otherwise, it's a solid unit.

I purchased two to cover the front and rear of my car. I purchased a 32GB SD card for each and after using both for a day one failed and would not accept the SD card then the other went too. I confirmed with the seller about the defective one and returned both. I cannot take chances with one not recording when it is absolutely necessary. I plan on investing in a more expensive and reliable unit through amazon. One thing to note, once car drivers see the camera in the rear of the vehicle, it changes the way that they drive too and tailgaters start to back off.So far so good.
Can't say much about it now but manual is the usual made in China. You can not count on it.
Quality is good.
I will come back with some more reviews and will upload a movie soon.

Original OEM Car + Travel Charger + Data Cable For Motorola Droid X Includes DBRoth Microfiber Cloth
I could only attribute it to the wall charger...very weird. Other than that, everything else was great.Everything was as described. The car charger and data cable work perfectly. Didn't really have much use for an additional wall charger or the screen wipe, but it was a nicely priced bundle. No complaints from me.

Retractable Car Charger for Nokia N97
I bought this charger because I liked the idea of the retractable cord, making it much neater to store. When it arrived, I was a bit dubious about the apparently thin gauge wire, especially as compared to the typically thick charger wires I'm used to.
I've had it for about a month now, and I'm quite happy with it. It appears to charge the phone just as quickly as the original, and so far I haven't experienced anything to be concerned about with its operation. I have no idea how long it will last with that thin cord, so I'm going to buy another one "just in case". Having that cord rolled up inside is really great when it's riding in the glove box.
I didn't give it five stars only because I still doubt the durability of the thin cord and retracting mechanism. I do feel that the retracting cord is worth the chance of a shorter product life, since it just feels good every time I fish it out and don't have to deal with a cord tangled around a bunch of other stuff. The retracting mechanism allows you to partially retract the cord to the length you need. I think the fully extended cord is about 15" 18" long. The first charger I got, stopped working after two times of using. I contacted the seller and they were really nice and sent me a new one. This one works very good.

Car Cigarette Lighter Charger for Samsung Conquer 4G SPH-D600/ Convoy 2 SCH-U660/ Admire R720/ Char
UPDATE!-
I used this charger for maybe 2 to 3 months, maybe 2 times a week, before i noticed it wasn't working anymore. The blue led was dim and the phone was not charging. i checked the fuse, turns out there isn't one.... but after fiddling around with it, i got the led light to come fully back on. phone still does not charge from it. Lucky for me I had the one from my last phone to replace it with because this is truly a cheap pile at this point. This did not work at all for the Samsung Transform. Spend a little bit more money and get a real charger. Can't really beat the price and it works just fine. The quality is a little questionable, so I'm not sure how long it will last. But at this price, not sure it matters too much. This works for my Samsung Transform Ultra. I even slammed the tip in my car door and it still works.

PowerDigital Ultra Compact High Output Dual USB Car Charger - Ideal for Charging iPad, iPad 2, iPad
Time will tell if it lasts longer than the generic cheapies, but I will be using it for two hours a day, at least 5 days a week. If it fails on me I will come back and edit this review. A generic cheapie lasted about a month in that kind of service before it simply stopped charging.
Stay Tuned!I bought this product for my daughter who recently purchased an iPad 3. This is a great charger for the price and it has worked well so far. The bonus is the 1000mAh USB port which is great for charging iPods. You can plug in the outlet in the car and use your devices while they charge.Works great! Everyone loved their car adaptor. Works with both iPad and iPhone. Great travel accessory. Would recommend this product. So far I've only used one charger side and it works well. I'll post an update after using both plugs at a time. This car charger is great! Not had the first problem with it. I leave it in my vehicle for both myself and my husband to charge our phones. Works great!

Virtual Reality Sound Labs VRTP3N1C175 Slim 3 In 1 Power Inverter - 175 Watts
Everything is carried in my tankbag and the unit is quiet and runs fairly cool even in the closed tankbag. Of course I'm not really stressing the capacity since the ASUS netbook takes 36W when running and much less to charge the battery. The Blackbery and camera batteries also require very little current. With the netbook and the USB charger plugged in, the VR3 is running at about 20% capacity.
I haven't noticed a large current draw from the unit, but I usually use it when the motorcycle is running and providing lots of power. Haven't tried using it just from the battery.
It is very convenient to have the 110VAC and the USB output so I can charge two things at once and don't have to carry another cable, which works fine and has not caused any problems.
The AC output is on the end of the unit, which is good for the netbook charger and not so much for the camera charger since it has the flip-out plug and makes the whole thing a little awkward when plugged together.
I like that the DC input cable unplugs from the unit so it can be stored more compactly when not in use.
Altogether I would recommend this as a low capacity inverter/converter combo. Very convenient and the price is right.I also bought this from Costco just today and I was concerned when I got home and read the previous reviewer's comments. I decided to give the product the benefit of the doubt and actually tried it. I attached both my cell phone charger and the charger for my Garmin GPS at the same time. Both charged without problems. I actually had some initial qualms because there was no sound at all coming from the inverter and I wondered how it could be cooling without a fan. Unconvinced, I plugged in a battery charger with four AA batteries. No noise and the unit is barely warm. If all of this holds true after a few more tests, I'll go back and get a couple of more. You do have to keep in mind that this is a 175-watt inverter and thus is limited. I tried old Gateway laptop and it wouldn't work but this dinosaur computer reeves up a terrible cooling fan on startup and it's too much for this little unit.
Buy Virtual Reality Sound Labs VRTP3N1C175 Slim 3 In 1 Power Inverter - 175 Watts Now
This is the third one I have purchased. Have had one for two years and it is great.Bought one for my cabin and one for a friend. So Small and Silent, I love it.Tried Everything about it, Its definately not 175 watts, will not run anything more than about 75 watts, 15.4" laptop will work after its booted it up but wont run with the wireless turned on. It actually comes with a Fm modulator & that works good, really powerful. But I bought it for a bike and it will be used to charge e-cig, cell phone & various other batts, maybe to recharge a shutdown laptop occasion. So hopefully it wont let me down. Just dont expect to run anything over 75 watts & you'll be fine. For 14$ if I get a year or 2 out of it I'll be happy. Bottom line its really compact charger/inverter & will run only the smallest netbooks, tablets. Even says in the manual it will run 100 watts for 20 mins, so 75 continuous is its max.
If you want small inverter with ability to run tvs, large laptops & have an extra 12 volt plug in it, I'd suggest Black & Decker, 200watt continuous/400surge , Maxx SST. I have one that still works like a champ, even after 8 severely used & abused years.(Orange one, Not the newer silver one, just cant speak for that one), A well sepent 20$.
Want Virtual Reality Sound Labs VRTP3N1C175 Slim 3 In 1 Power Inverter - 175 Watts Discount?
I purchased this last night. Wanting a inverter to power my netbook and mobile devices. Open it up today I found out it was a FM transmitter as well. It didn't mention that on the packaging. So I plugged it in to a Mp3 player and tune to the default station on the unit. Wow!!! I was impressed with the sound and clarity.I live in a city and FM Trans. don't go together. In the many Trans. I have own they were all horrible. Especially a stoplights and especially in a Ford Taurus I occasionally drive around. The receiver on the Taurus is in the trunk so any ordinary trans. doesn't do well due to the six foot range of the trans. I unplug the Trans and find out the station was broadcasting a local program. Usually there would be bleeding and you would notice this almost immediately; not the case here.
Later I got in the Taurus and which I have a DLO iPod docking/charger. I only use it for hi-way trips out of the city. This unit on the same station that was broadcasting locally was powerful enough to over come that and the distance to the trunk to produce good fidelity and static-free sound in the city.
I would highly recommend this to anyone.
One downside the manual states that you can only use the 120V outlet for about 20 min.
Uniden SC200 Handheld Sport Scanner with 200 Channels
Buy Uniden SC200 Handheld Sport Scanner with 200 Channels Now
I researched a lot of models before purchasing this one. You cannot go wrong with the Uniden/Bearcat name. I weighed the features against the price and this was the most economical in my mind.I programmed the channels myself. Once I got into a rhythm, I finished all Cup drivers and a good portion of the Busch drivers in about 30 minutes. We have used at several races and we have so much more fun being in touch with so many different aspects of the race MRN/PRN, race control, drivers, etc.
The scanner is a nice compact size. I clip it onto my leg with an extra belt to prevent it from falling. A Y-cable is needed for more than one headset. I also have a 4 way intercom box (aircraft) and used the scanner with it. This will require additional cables as well.

Mazda MIATA Battery
I ordered the item straight from BatteryMart, which uses Google checkout. They also shipped out the package the same day they received my order in the morning. As I need the battery to start my car, it was much appreciated.
However, UPS delivery had a problem since the address was missing my apartment number. I called Batterymart since I was sure I entered the apartment number in the original order (shown in email confirmation), batterymart rep claimed that I would have to pay a $10 fee to correct this error, which I found outrageous (regardless of whose error, since it's really just a simple call to UPS to change the information).
After explaining and verifying that it was something amiss between Batterymart and Google Checkout that they used, the manager was able to "waive" the address-change fee. A bit cynical, I asked for a discount, which the manager named Anthony was nicely able to get (probably through Google) a day later by waiving my shipping charge.
Then the package finally arrived, even though it was delivered to the wrong building (again fault of UPS). The carton looked worryingly small, barely bigger than the battery. Opening it, the suspected problem unraveled: The package was padded by 1/2" of spacer at the top and two longer sides (not four), but the bottom was only padded by a single layer of thin corrugated board with a few crushed shipping foam peanuts. Two corners of the battery was thus damaged, obviously pushed in with creases in the plastic and outer box.
I called UPS to file a damage report, but also contacted BatteryMart via email. I think the damage is as much attributable to UPS as it may be to the woefully inadequate packaging. The battery had been tested to have the proper voltage and appeared functional, though I was not sure if these damages would have repercussions in the long term. I will update if I get a follow-up from the vendor (or not) on replacements or compensation.
Also notable is that the top of the battery doesn't really look like the one in the Amazon photo, which looks exactly the same as the old Deka/Westco battery. The one I received has a slightly different design, arguably looks a bit cheaper with plastic layers instead of an entire block with grooves as the hold-down bar guides; although it's a minor quibble. I also cannot verify from any of the markings that it is indeed made by East Penn (except the shared 81MU1R model number which is also shared with an Autozone wet cell miata battery among others, telling nothing of its true origins).
Nonetheless, it is an AGM as there are no watery slushing noises, or this sort of damage with the package obviously been rolled around would probably have caused a leak already. The hold down clamp in the Miata also fits perfectly over the plastic top pieces. The battery is the exact same size as the old Westco, fitting nicely into the battery tray as well, with some room left over (as Westco is a bit smaller than the original Panasonic AGMs).
I have searched various sources for the proper AGM battery, and most are either much more expensive, or have been replaced by Wet-cell types that are serviceable yet undesirable due to Miata's peculiar battery location in the trunk. It's a pity that if not for the damages, I would have declared this my new source of replacement Miata batteries.
8/20/10
Batterymart responded to my email, less than a day after I dispatched my request. A product specialist named Brad kindly offered to ship me a replacement at no cost, and noted that UPS will probably pick up the damaged package. He also instructed the shipping department to pay extra attention to packaging to avoid damages. I also received a UPS shipment notification, suggesting the package is going out today.
Initially I almost did not expect a reply, much less a positive one, due to the aggressive pricing of the battery itself and that "$10 address-change surcharge" incident. Therefore this level of painless customer service had taken me a bit by surprise. I hope this wraps up nicely, and will update once the replacement arrives.
8/24/10
The replacement battery arrived today. The package is almost 3 times as big as the original that got damaged, suggesting ample padding material. Opening it up, I had to chuckle: the battery was packed to make a point! There was at least 2" of thick corrugated boards protecting the top and bottom, and between 3" and 4" of similar padding by the four sides (see photo). I imagine even the most anal-retentive (e.g. yours truly) would be put at ease with this kind of packing. It would probably survive a drop from a UPS truck while moving!
Needless to say, the battery arrived in perfect condition and tested to be in expected working order. The customer service at Batterymart proved to be responsive and thorough, and promptly righted what could be a messy problem. It's probably a quality most valued from any online vendor, and I appreciated it.Bought this to replace a 7 year old Mazda battery in my 96 Miata. Battery was the same size and poles are correct. The only minor issue is the Battery vents are round and smaller than the Mazda battery. I had to cut the square ends off of the vent hoses and they fit into the round holes on the Marathon replacement battery. Other than that was a quick replacement and has been working well.
Good replacemnet and cheaper than the dealer.According to a number of threads on Miata.net, as well as manufacturer data on other sites, the Marathon MAR-8AM-U1R battery is in fact an Absorption Glass Mat (AGM) battery, NOT a lead-acid type as stated in the description here on Amazon. This also appears to be the same unit sold elsewhere under the Deka brand name, item number 8AMU1R. In any case you can buy with confidence, this is the right battery for your Miata.

BatteryMart replacement battery (made by Marathon Batery) was easy to install and took only about 10 minutes.I cut the original two "rubber" vent tubes at the top of the round tubing where it met the rectangular section which fitted over the rectangular battery vent (I was replacing a Jhonson Control's battery).
The new battery (Marathon) had circular vent holes so the round "rubber" tubes fit perfectly over the battery's vents.
The new battery had the same terminal orientation as the old battery so the cables fit perfectly.
So for $101.95 (including shipping) and 10 minutes installation timeI was very satified with this purchase. The local Miata dealer had quoted me almost $200.00 for replacing the battery on my Miata.
Want Mazda MIATA Battery Discount?
This battery is a great sub for the Gen 1 (Classic) Prius battery. It costs less, has vents required for trunk mount and is jell cell.
Length and width are the same, height needs to be shimmed 2 inches.
I used pieces of pressure treated wood pickets for that.
The battery terminals need to be changed to standard auto terminals.
Less than 10 dollars at Auto zone.
A good deal

Stanley FL5W10 5 Watt LED Waterproof Rechargeable Spotlight
The rotating on/off switch does not penetrate thru the plastic. Instead it moves a magnet that causes one to three internal magnetic reed switches to activate and allow current to flow to the light. The dimmer moves one of them as well I think. To try it yourself remove the cover, unscrew the three top screws then unscrew the battery charge lid retainer (one screw to the plastic tab). Pull the light out no wires get in the way. Try a refrigerator magnet over the black area until the light comes on.
The problem is with the reed switches. In the OFF (open) position the switches are not truly open, rather they still have a resistance of about 2000 ohms on my light enough to leak away most of the battery in a few days.
The magnetic switch idea was good but either the switches are cheap or they are defective in design. Only solution is to leave the light on the charger until ready to use hardly a good answer.I was actually lost looking around on the internet for the "Perfect Father's Day Gift" for not only my Father, but my Husband as well. I wasn't thinking I would hit it out of the ball park with the same gift for both.
For my father I thought flashlight or spotlight because what do you buy for the man that has everything? I remembered when I was little, 5 or 6 and my Dad would always have a Mag light flashlight for everything, one in his truck, one in the house, when they came out with the small ones he bought those too, so I figured a flashlight or spotlight might help him around the lake and would definitely be a great gift for him.. I can't afford anything else that man would want :)
My Husband, the Camper, Camping is his life, I got him a Tent for Father's Day, a Beautiful Coleman Tent he wanted, but then I bought the light for my Dad and had to get the same for my Husband "from the kids".. :)
First let me tell you, we've been faithfully disappointed in LED technology lights time and time again, until we found a lantern we recently purchased for our camping trip that boasted 400 Lumens, then we saw that an LED light could actually work, light your way, and not eat your batteries one after another. That light was the game changer, Guide Gear was the brand and it also is a fantastic buy, I will review that one separately.
I actually purchased the Stanley FL5W10 5 Watt/520 Lumen light on sale and was drawn to the fact that not only was it waterproof, but you can dive 6 feet under water with the light on!! It's not a deep dive light, but it is a neat little gadget if you've lost something near the shore at the lake. Aside from that, when dropped in the water it flips light side up, which is very handy when you accidentally drop it in the water, then of course it is BRIGHT YELLOW in case you didn't leave it on when you dropped it.
The other factors that drew me to the light, lol (pun intended), was that not only is it rechargeable, but it comes equipped with a DC and an AC charger with the package!!! YOU CAN CHARGE IT ANYWHERE!!! When it is done charging it BEEPS for you, if you leave it on the charger it will kindly remind you. It boasts a 10 Hour Use time on dim, so that's a pretty great thing in addition to being rechargeable.
Just a little bit of Battery advice, Batteries build up a memory with bad charging habits, it's like filling up your car with gas all the way once, then filling it up again and again and again once you've only used a quarter of a tank, the rest of the gas is old starts to lose it's ummph.. Batteries do this too, although they used to be much worse.
I always live by the rule of charging ANY NEW ITEM, YES, INCLUDING CELL PHONES, CORDLESS PHONES, FLASHLIGHTS, ETC, FOR A FULL 24 HOURS BEFORE YOU EVEN TOUCH IT. Even though it may beep and say it's full, leave it on for a FULL 24 HOURS before using it for the First time. Once you use it, don't take it off the charger then immediately put it back on over and over, and lastly let the battery go completely dead once per month to every 6 weeks, then charge it again to full. This will help extend the life of your battery hopefully and help prevent a bad build up or "Memory".
Now then, back to the light, The quality of the light, what you've been waiting to hear about, oh my good gosh this thing lights up the way.. I have never owned a light so powerful, it is absolutely 520 Lumens strong.
We live in one of the few places on the planet and in the USA that you can actually see the stars at night. We live in a very rural area with not a lot of traffic, light pollution or neighbors.. one such of our few neighbors lives around 5 acres away from my house, and a slew of dense cedar trees between us scattered here and there; well he always hangs outside in the evenings with some buddies, without fail and I wanted to check this light out, show it off for my husband so he could be proud of his new light. so I call the neighbor, I asked if he was outside, of course he is.. I stood on my porch and I shined the light in his back-back-back yard, meaning a hundred and fifty or so yards from his porch and i was lighting up very clearly whatever I shined it on, not faint, but an extremely clear line of sight, and he said WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THAT? I said our new Spotlight, he says "no kiddin", then I told him it was LED.. he said "LED?? No way!"
his crew immediately drove over in their ATV to check out my Husband's new Spotlight, then they all left me, including my husband and my son to go over to the neighbors to drink beer and play with the new light some more.. my mistake.. or was it.. HA, I had a nice hot bath in peace and quiet after a day of it being all about the Dads.. :)
My Father told me his story later when he called to tell me how much he loved the light, except he lives on the lake and they actually got in the water AT NIGHT and played with the light. He fishes at night, so he wanted to see what it could actually do.. he loved it, he lives in an inlet on the lake so the water is a bit calmer than the main lake and he couldn't believe how well he could see under water AT NIGHT with the light.
Anyhow, the light lives up to it's claims and more, it is dimmable, and is "dunkable" and I'm sure you can "Drop it 10 Feet without damaging it", although we haven't tried that out yet. I uploaded a picture comparing the size to a standard DVD for you to be able to see just how small this light is. Smaller than you'd expect compared to most spotlights but SO POWERFUL, It's amazing.
I would recommend this light for any household, Rural, City Living, Campers, Travelers, in your car on a road trip or just around town, this light is quite possibly the best light we have ever purchased.
*** Update 8/8/11: When I wrote this review my spotlight was manufactured by/for Stanley and the product on this page was a Stanley light and was yellow, Now it is Black and Decker they appear to be related, or share manufacturers, or have sold the technology, whichever, they appeared to have changed only the color from yellow to red/orange (typical B&D coloring), it's the same light I reviewed, only they changed manufacturers on us who reviewed the light prior **
I hope to have helped you with your purchasing decision.

This is the second spotlight I bought this week. The first was a Coleman 4351-700. I did not realize from looking at it on the Internet how big and heavy it would be. It is enormous and extremely heavy because it uses a sealed lead acid battery (SLA) (like a car battery). My wife said it was too heavy and she couldn't get her hand around it. I returned it without ever opening the bubble pack packaging. The Stanley seemed like everything I ever wanted. I need it for my sail boat where space is at a very high premium and every pound of weight really matters.
This light is small, powerful, and light weight. The light has a very tight beam and is even more powerful than I need. It was easy to light up trees that were 1500 feet away. I didn't have line of sight to anything further away on my first outing. You can adjust the light brighter or dimmer than the default setting. I didn't notice much more light when I went to the brightest setting. I could see a significant difference at the dimmest setting, but dimmest would still be bright enough for most uses. The instructions say that you can get 50 minutes at the very brightest setting and 10 hours at the dimmest.
Another reviewer said they could not turn the unit on using only one hand. I can, but it is easier using two hands, one to hold the unit and one to rotate the on/off switch.
Now for the bad news. This unit uses NiMH batteries (which are not bad). However, they are very susceptible to damage from overcharging and like to be kept charged. They do not have a memory effect like NiCads.
You can NOT leave the charged connected after it is charged (max 5 hours), and you must charge the unit at least once every 30 days even if you have not used it. I would have been happy to spend more money to get a unit that let you keep it on the charger by just having the unit turn off the charge to the batteries when they were fully charged. There is apparently more risk of damage using the 12 volt charger because the manual has a special STRONG warning about NEVER leaving it on this charger for more than 5 hours.
I knew when I ordered the unit that it had a non-standard battery pack. I assumed that this meant that I would someday have to purchase a replacement from the manufacturer. However, the manual states:
"The battery should last the service life of the unit." In other words, dead battery=throw entire unit away. They could have made this unit to take six off-the-shelf NiMH AAA batteries, it would have been worth the extra cost.
The manual tells you that battery recycling is required when you dispose of the unit. However, very few people would have the tools and patience to disassemble the unit to get to the batteries. The solution is either to not recycle, or smash the unit open with a hammer.

Looking at some of the negative reviews, I'm guessing some people can't read. "I charged it for 24hours" or "It was already charged, but I charged it overnight anway" Duck duck durgh duh!!! The instructions plainly state to only charge the product until the light is green, but no more than 3 hours, or you risk damaging the light. Guess what is sounds like most negative reviewers here did? That doesn't mean some people didn't get a lemon, which happens, but I'm leaning towards "users fault" with many of the bad reviews. I guess it is Stanley's fault, for not realizing too many Americans are too lazy/simple minded to read. They should have built in an automatic charge kill function.I bought 2 of these over a year ago, one for my dad and one for me. They've worked great so far. They hold their charge a long time. They're small and bright. The flashlight feels solid/well built. It has a dim/bright control. I have thoroughly tested the waterproof claim during several night-time swimming adventures, the light passed the test/abuse. What's not to like?
I only have 1 complaint. The on and off control should be simpler/quicker.

6 Piece Value Combo Accessory Bundle Kit: Black Silicone Skin Case Cover + Car Charger + Travel Cha
- Package comes with 6 essential pieces of accessories for your Sony Walkman
- Include: One black silicone skin, One USB data cable, One travel wall charger
- One automobile car charger, One adjustable armband, One belt clip
The only item that is so-so in the bundle is the beltclip. For some reason, it's white everything else in the kit is black. So of course, the clip clashes with the black case. The only thing missing from this combo kit is a screen protector but you can't have everything. And since Sony tends to use proprietary ports, it's not like you'll find a lot of options for generic, compatible cables elsewhere. So all-in-all, I'm quite pleased with the purchase. Recommended.teenager was very happy and we all know that is a hard thing to do. He use it every day.Very happy with all items from this combo. It has been very helpful to have back up charges and cables for the walkman since I travel for work quite frequently. The sole reason I bought this kit was for the battery charger...which happens to work just as I had hoped. The other items I really didn't need.
I couldn't beat the cost either...Sony charges 3 times for a charger alone, so the cost was well worth it.Both the hard and soft cases are basically junk. Either they shipped the wrong ones ? or these are poorly designed. Only half the buttons are accessible with the soft case. The hard case does not secure the Walkman, it just slides around inside and the lower half of the control buttons are covered.

This is a nice car charger. This cord is longer than a comparable product with a coiled cord, so it's easier to talk on the phone while it's plugged in. The retraction button is a little hard to find at first, but that's minor. It also stores in smaller space than the coiled type. The price was GREAT! So far, glad I bought this.Want EMPIRE Retractable Car Charger (CLA) for Verizon Motorola DROID 3 Discount?
