Have being using this for my Samsung Moment for over a month, with no problems...It does what it says and for a good price.

I would not call this a "rapid" car charger by any means, my home wall charger is faster. It did work for a while and then the cord that goes inside the actual adapter came loose and I couldn't get it to work again. However, this is incredibly cheap (price wise) so you get what you pay for. I would definitely buy another one and handle it with kid gloves. Overall, not a bad product.

After using this charger a few times my computer would no longer "see" the device as anything but a unknown device. I was forced to send it back to creative for repairs, which cost me $25. Maybe my Zen was a lemon, but it worked great until I used this product.

The charger is very handy to have when travelling. I especially like the interchangeable tip technology. Unfortunately the tip for the Zen Vision M "fries" the Media player's motherboard, and should not be used together. I have had to have ny Zen repaired 2X.

This charger works great with my Sprint Mogul (HTC PPC6800) and a Holux M-1000 bluetooth GPS. At $1.99, I bought 3.

But, there is one problem the phone connector is a flimsy, snap together plastic shell; one of mine came apart in a few weeks. I tried the following trick on the other 2 to (hopefully) make them last longer:

Get some 1/2" heat shink tubing. I used Gardner Bender tubing from Home Depot (1 pkg $1.95 is enough to for 24 chargers)

Cut 1/2" off the tubing, slip over the body of the phone connector and heat with a lighter or match.

This should hold the 2 halves of the shell together and keep it from coming apart.

I purchased a different adapter earlier this year and I could tell right away that the mini-USB connector was flimsy and would not last. After a few months it stopped working. My wife received these radios as a gift and we promptly used them in Glacier National Park. We only charged them up overnight, not the 24 hours recommended. Regardless, they lasted about two days which may be symptomatic because of the short charging time. As for their range, 2 couples were hiking and we were separated at some times by distance or terrain. The radio transmission was clear, the units easy to use, and easy to setup. The two power levels are tied to the particular channel selected by the user. When you select the channel, be sure to read the manual or you may have a visit from the FCC as a few of the channels require a radio license. One other thing is that the radios will automatically shut off if the batteries are too low. My recommendation is that if you are going to be on the trail for several days, have 4 AAA batteries as a backup. The weather radio function is a nice touch.

These radios are great but they (in NO way whatsoever) will broadcast or recieve radio transmissions from anything more than maybe 5 miles away if you're lucky (they didn't even come close to that when a friend and I tested this). Otherwise, they are decent (a little on the larger size but decent).

The radios do, however, feature a great function that allows you to monitor two channels at the same time... so you can monitor what the enemy has to say as well as what your team has to say... just gotta figure out their channels LOL!

I've tried to use this charger a few times, with no luck. The problem I wanted to be able to charge it, throw it in my bag and forget about it until I needed to use it. All the times I've tried to use it, the charge had magically drained away in the time I wasn't using it. If you remember to constantly charge this as a back up it might work, but as an emergency/once in a blue moon backup it's totally worthless.

I am using two of these charger/maintainers, as well as some other brands. This model claims to have temperature compensation, and although I have not used it yet in any temperature extremes, I have not seen any change in voltage in a small band of temperatures between 67 F and 78F. Let's assume it will compensate at temperatures out of that range, but even in that range, I've seen it raise voltage to 14.8, 14.9, even over 15V a few brief times. Fortuneately I've never seen it maintain over 14.8 for more than about 1.5 hours, so it probably has not done too much damage to my batteries, but I'd feel way safer it it stopped at around 14.4V, since it has no setting for battery type. Definitely not the one to use for GEL batteries. What's strange, but I find acceptable, is that in FLOAT mode, it's only about 13.25V, which is a bit less that would be expected when it charges at higher-than-normal voltages. Bottom line, is that since it doesn't normally stay at the excessive voltage levels for a very long time, and it stays then forever at a safe 13.25V (at around 70 F), it's probably a relatively safe charger/maintaner for such a cheap price, assuming it will voltage compensate at temperature extremes. If you are willing to pay a lot more for a far better charger/maintainer, look to BatteryMINDer 2012 or 12248 or Xantrex for the best, as far as I have ben able to determine, but for such a low price, I think this Schumacher ProSeries will most likely do more good than harm to most wet (non-GEL) lead-acid batteries.

American Hunter Economy Solar Charger

I ordered this item to use on my boat as a trickle charger for the 12v Battery. The item in the photo is in a plastic case and the photo appears to be the charger I have seen on other boats. That is why I placed the order. Unfortunately, I was shipped a different model in a metal casing -which does not appear to be as weather proof. Rain and Saltwater appear to able to puddle and leak through seams in the corner. I doubt if the metal casing will be as corrosion resistant,durable, or as eco-friendly as the plastic unit pictured.

There were no instructions or specs provided for the unit. It is not clear how the mounting bracket should be installed. This unit may be fine indoors, in a car, or a dry environment.,but I doubt it will be found very durable in weather.

On the plus side, the unit appears to have more cell and may generate more amps than the unit photoed. Also, shipping was very, very, fast. Probably faster than anything I have ever ordered. In less than 4 days and it was at my front door.

I read the reviews for the battery and because I needed something for the road, I went ahead and got the white one and a black one. I gave the white battery to a friend who had the white iphone and kept the black one for myself. I was looking forward to using the battery but it turned out to be huge disappointment. It worked the first couple of times, but then it just stopped. The battery was charged, but the lights did not go on, and it would not charge my phone. You would have to reactivate it by putting it on the charger and it would show full lights, but then minutes later would just be dead, and have no charge, no lights.

DO NOT BUY. This company needs to make better products.

First, the Fire's battery life is amazing and I didn't actually need a charger, but the USB cord was great to transfer data using my laptop. The biggest complaint with this charger is the fact that if you push it all the way in the 12v receptacle, you are going to need something narrow to pry it out and probably some pliers unless you have an iron grip. I've seen other chargers that are designed to mount flush like this before but they usually have some type of d-ring to assist with removal. I bought this over a month ago and then tried to use it today to charge my Motorola V195 in my car. It would not work at all. It works with another older Motorola cell phone but not the V195 I bought it for. I don't know why. The V195 charges fine on the indoor charger that plugs into the wall and it charged fine on the old car charger before that charger broke.

If I wiggle each part and retract and unretract the cable a few times, I can get it to charge my phone, but mostly it doesn't work. When it is charging it might stop charging at any time, for no apparent reason. It's been like this since I got it. Put the device in cigarette lighter. After a moment, made a loud noise. Put car in drive, and Shift gear knocked against device. After that, the device made lots more noise, as the fan inside was dislodged. Now, the device is extremely loud, so I deem it worthless. Went and bought a laptop plug, which is what I should have done in the first place.

i still would simply prefer longer battery time, but absent that, my Samsung Epic 4G is a power hog (particularly with wifi and 4G turned on), so this battery dock with spare battery is the only practical solution. I actually have two of them to keep 2 back up batteries charging/charged.

This is a really small and slick battery charger (+ battery) for the Samsung Captivate, and even makes a desk stand for the phone if you like that sort of thing. Exceptionally handy as well, since the Captivate battery (after a few months of usage) does not seem to hold a charge from morning to night, even with light usage.
