Got here very quickly and seemed to work just fine, but it doesn't seem to work that good after just one use.

Got it a few days ago, says it's charging the phone, but doesn't really charge. In most cases, even when plugged in to this charger, the phone dies if the battery is too low.

This is a good quality transmitter. It's easy to use, and has a wide range for transmitting (88-107). I have tried different transmitters (generic, maxell & belkin) brands in the past and though this one captures interference occasionally, it still is a good option. Compared to other i have owned, this one has more power and delivers a great sound. The device may seem big since it's as wide as an iPhone 4 and a bit thick but i believe this allows having a better control. The transmitter is easy to use, can be charged via mini USB (cable included) and has a gold plated connector.

Had for about a month. The connection was always really loose with my HTC MyTouch 4G and finally just stopped working altogether.

When I recieved the item it was poorly packaged, it came in a white plastic envelope with no protective padding in the package at all. Once i opened the package it did not have any other packaging inside just the charger. I knew then that it would not work, so i took it out to the car and would'nt you know it...it did not work. I wanted to be sure so I placed the charger in all ports in the care and it did not work in any of them.

Now I am going to have to go out and by a new charger that is properly packaged. You ask why i have not sent it back well since it only cost $1.00, I refuse to spend $3.00 to ship it back.

Motorola MB810 Droid X Car Charger

The best car charger for the droid x, I drive different cars every day, as part of the business I'm in and chances are the "lighter outlets" aren't always in the best of shape, and my co-workers are always giggling and trying to get a connection with there GPS and phone chargers. The good news is the item was received in just a couple of days. The bad news is, the item I received was actually an LG STA-P53WS Travel Adapter rather than the advertised STA-P52WS. This charger will not work with my LG VX8600 phone, even though the list of phones for the charger says it will work, and it also says it is a replacement for the original STA-P51WS charger. I think the problem is that it has different voltage and current specificatons than the original charger. The original was 4.9V and 0.9A, while this one was 5.6V and 0.4A. I had the same problem with another charger I already had for a different LG phone which also didn't have the right specifications and wouldn't work with my phone. And I know the problem is not with the phone, since the car charger still works with it.

Also, I know that the charging pins are the same as on the original, so that's not the problem. I know this because I was able to get a working charger by combining the plug from this charger with the wall wart from the original charger (the original plug broke, which is why I needed a new charger). That old electroncs techician training comes in handy! For the cheap price, it wasn't worth returning this, so I figured I had nothing to lose.

So I would not recommend this charger unless your original charger was an STA-P53WS or had an output of 5.6V and 0.4A.

This original charger is perfect! I can't believe how cheap it was!! Trust me, those purchasing this product will be more then pleased...

I bought this for use with my Samsung Captivate. The connection to the phone works fine. Nice and snug, with no problems either connecting or un-connecting. The connection to the car dock works well enough the fit is just a little bit loose and can "shake free" on bumpy car rides; fortunately, the charger has a light that goes out when the connection is lost, so it's easy to notice and fix if the charger does shake loose. The retractable cord is nice, although you do have to coax the last inch or two to retract I guess they didn't want the connector to smack violently into the charger each time you retract.

The charger itself seems to work well enough, but it definitely doesn't put out the same level of juice that you'll get from your wall charger. With the phone screen on and speaker phone going, the charger just barely manages to keep the battery level steady I would imagine that heavy usage of the phone (music, video, etc. while driving) would be too much for the charger to handle. Still, I purchased the charger to help take the edge off the daily drain on my phone, so this charger works sufficiently well for my needs.

I bought 2 of these because they were just too inexpensive and i could put one in my car and truck both. It works as described, the retractable cord functions as it should. No cord laying around to get tangled amoungst your other cords when not being used! I should have bought 2 more while I was purchasing...

This is very convenient. It is nice and compact and the cord does not get tangled up with any of my other cable devices in the car.

Only thing is that sometimes I have to remove my cell phone cover in order to connect the cable.

I took a gamble and purchased this item as it is very cheap ...only to realise that it is not working.....

the design is flawed and rattles when plugged to a car outlet...

checked this when the car is stationary and found that a constant loose connection is happening and my phone lights up saying it started charging...next second it stop charging...again lights up....this charger can screw up any smartphone battery in minutes ....

DONT BUY !!

Update : The company contacted me via e-mail and send me a new car charger absolutely free of cost.... and it works well so i'm happy and changing "Dont buy" to "Buy"

It works just fine; however, the cable's insulation is pulling away from the connector, leaving the wires exposed. I'm going to have to put on some heat-shrink tubing or something to cover it. Overall, it's worth the price, but it would have been nice to not see this problem so soon after purchase.

This charger is very nifty. I really liked the design of it. The cord is a bit short. Don't forget that it retracts via the button. The button blends in well and can be hard to see in a dim lit vehicle, especially in the winter evenings. I had forgotten about it and was used to my other retractables where you need to pull all the way out before it winds back in. Needless to say, I pulled firmly, but not that hard. I didn't feel any tear or break, but the very thin cable couldn't stand up to it. The charger stopped working. I had it all of one day.

Great idea, not very well built. I never did get to fully charge a device, so couldn't say if it rapid charged the Galaxy Nexus.

This one needs some TLC, but could work well for someone else. I ended up getting a Verizon car charger since it can charge 2 devices at once.

Good for the price. Probably as good as something you'd pay 3 times as much for at a cell phone store. 3 bucks.... who could ask for more, really?

So far this works pretty well. It doesnt charge as fast as the original LG charger and sometimes my phone recognizes it as an "unauthorized charger", but for $3 it's well worth the investment!!! It does it's job! I do like that you can roll the cord up, that's a bonus!

Although this charger is suggested when purchasing the Verizon Razr, the phone complains that this an "Unauthorized Charger" and it will not charge the phone. Do not waste your time with this.

I agree with most of the others, it worked okay for a couple of months... now, not only does it not charge my phone, but if I plug it into my phone, it immediately loses all charge! It's also always falling out of the lighter plug. I don't have that problem with any of my other chargers and I carry three chargers with me for my different gadgets.

This product is garbage. First one I received was defective and did not charge my 3G Ipod, but instead like some other people have said, drained my battery to the point my ipod would not even turn on. Hopkins 46365 Short Proof Power Converter

This is a splice it yourself kit, you have to know which wires to splice into, so you'll need to know your wiring harness. Install was easy for me because I was replacing a burned out converter that was plug and play. The wires on the old converter were marked, so I just wired right up to those. The directions suck (hence 4 stars instead of 5) The hardest part is getting a feed up to the battery, as this has it's own VBATT circuit to prevent burning out your car's lighting circuits. Just takes some time working your way along the floor trim and finding a hole in the firewall. I've had too many problems with shorts on trailers taking out cheapo converters, so I figured it was worth the extra dough. So far, I'm satisfied. Installed on a 2000 Jeep Cherokee.

Product works as described so far. My only complaint is that the old versions had a connector on the side that you plugged in the trailer extension harness, which was a flat 4-wire cable. This version has no connector on the unit, just a couple feet of 4 individual wires terminating in the 4 pin trailer plug. I understand that it's cheaper to manufacture this way, but it just looks cheesy, and now instead of the nice 4 wire flat cable I have 4 individual wires that I had to wire tie every 4 inches to keep under control exiting the vehicle.

I would happily paid the extra dollar to have the decent cable with a connector on both ends.

It seems that when one of the tail lights burned out it took the electrical adapter with it. The Hopkins 46365 is short proof, was easy to install, and works great. I have purchased "discount" accessories from various sources for my mobile phones for years. In some cases brand names are important, but this is usually not the case. For simple items like car or home/travel chargers, the less expensive "off Brands" work just fine. This charger is a perfect example. Even with the shipping charge, the charger costs less than one third what you would have to pay at any brick and mortar store and performs every bit as well. There is simply no good reason to pay more for the same thing just because it has a better sounding name.

looks like a good heavy duty charger. the rectifier was laying lose being held only by the wires. might have been cliped on the bigger heat sink? pluged in and smoked it this gave power to the 12v dc cooling fans. I insalled a older 110 fan and made it work. poor job on the rectifer. they changed from 110v to the 12 v fans because it was cheaper. after this I hope it last as long as my old 30 year charger.

This was by far the best price we found anywhere on this charger. It still seemed a little spendy, however when it arrived there was a voucher to receive a free jump pack charger ($150 value) Very pleased with both chargers.

Charged 2 volvos and they both started with no problem. Many new vehicles are challenged when you try to put a strong charge in to the system.

Trickle charging is best and works much better for most cars. A great value that will pay for itself over time.

Not the fanciest with the most options and functions, just a basic workhorse. I have plenty of multimeters and state of charge meters. I use it to start an Isuzu diesel box truck so I can move it around. The batteries onboard are several years past usefulness, but this charger will put enough charge in them after twenty five minutes to start the truck easily, even in the winter cold. Only had it for a month or so, but would buy another if I needed one.

I bought one of these a few months back and my problems began....First one of the wheel brackets fell down inside and I had to take one of the side panels off to get it back . Once I got the side panel off, I noticed there were quite a few little nuts and bolts laying loose in the bottom of the unit. Next I found to my dismay that the screws included to install the handle would not fit. I had go find others. The top panel seems to move very easy. I had a little Schumacher that lasted for over 20 years. Now I would not buy another one.
