I got this product and it was packaged poorly. Also, it worked about once or twice, but after a few days use, it started smoking. LITERALLY. It shorted out and didn't work since. I would not recommend getting this item. I certainly paid more than what the thing was worth. I will have to pay more from my pocket if I want something like this that is actually good quality.

It worked great for about 4 months, then suddenly stopped working. While it worked, it would power my Garmin GPS unit and kept both of our iPhones charged at the same time.

I like the fact that unlike some other trickle chargers it specifically confirms when it is charging. I have one from Harbor Freight that only indicates if it is either plugged in or connected to the battery. If the battery leads come off it still shows that it's on just because it's still plugged in. The only improvement I would make is that the battery leads could stand to be longer.

I've had one of these float chargers on my C6 Corvette battery for 6 years. Maintains a full charge and doesn't boil out the battery. Works great on the yard tractor and generator battery also.Don't be fooled by the cheap price, it works better than one I spent $130.00 on!

compared to the majority of cell phone chargers sync cables I have owned this cord is kind of on the shorter end. it is very cute, and the colors are nice. the cable does not look terribly cheap but it broke within the first month of me having it, which I can't get terribly upset about because it wasn't very expensive... still it would be nice if it worked longer than a month and if the cord was a little longer. also as soon as the usb is plugged into a port the cables smiley faces are lit red and stay red. The charger will not work if your I-Phone is in an "Otter Box" protective case. You must remove the I-Phone from the case before you can insert the charger into the phone. I do not know if it will work with other type cases.

These are not advertised as light duty, but when I got them that's what they are. But hey, I drive a Corolla, they work fine. My manly side wanted some flippin' awesome heavy duty cables, but it's okay.

I read the other reviews when I purchased these, and decided that I didn't need hardcore heavy duty cables for my little Protege. When my battery died, they fired up my car on the first try.

Two weeks later we tried to jump a V8 jeep with these cables and it took about ten minutes of letting the cars sit together before the jeep would start. I don't know the exact physics of this (whether it was the cable or the battery), but when the jeep died again we had better luck with a more intense set of cables.

Since the jeep isn't mine, I'm quite happy with this purchase. They're cheap and they'll get my car started in emergencies.

I bought this kit in order to learn about solar power. The intent was to make a portable solar generator. Overall the individual pieces of the kit are "all right" but I should have just bought the solar panel and the charge controller separately. I have already found a better deal on the inverter at an automotive parts store, and the wire that came with the kit was thrown out for a higher gauge set that I had in the garage.

The kit should have come with instructions to assemble the pieces together.

The MC4 cables ARE NOT INCLUDED! Out of the box, this kit is USELESS! I had to order the cables separately with no clue of which type of cable to buy. I took a big guess based on Amazon pictures.

Overall, the products are quality, but do your research and buy the parts individually.

Its been 7 years now and this year after sitting flat all winter inside the toolbox of my seldom used pickup I plugged it in last week and today I used it to start my diesel trencher and it worked as good as the day I bought it. The only negtive I can thing of is the way the handle that you pull out to switch voltage is orientated to the body. If the jumpstart gets banged around a lot the handle will break off. The unit still functions fine it just mainly cosmetic. Other than that....ya....5 stars!!!

We gave it the test. Someone had left the key on the on position on a De icier truck. These trucks are use for deicing planes. They have to be up and ready in the before snow rolls in. We can't be tieing up another truck for a dead truck.

We usually have to hook another truck to it and let it charge up for an hour. Or drag out the charger and electric cord which is very heavy. 150 ft cord.

Brought out the Jump and Carry, switch the plug to 24 volts. It kick over with no problem.

Did do some read up on it before buying. It does have a built in protection not to over charge the unit.

Con: manual say it has leds on it for charging. None on there so we don't know when its done charging.

I used it to fit the front engine compartment to the removed grill assembly. It actually pulled the armor to the grill, with no problem. Another thing that surprised me was the smoothness of the whole process and how quiet it was. Very nice, Thank Amazon for shipping to APOs and FPOs. Great all around experience. 2 weeks from beginning to end.

I use it on a daily basis and wouldn't use anything else. Nothing else compares, and I've tried snapon, dewalt, and a few other brands.

Cons: (1) Not variable speed, (2) a bit heavy, (3) still relatively big compared to the competition

Overall, it looks to me like this impact wrench might be outdated compared with what's out there today. Most of today's cordless impacts are variable speed. You have MUCH better control with variable speed, especially when you are trying to put nuts back on. With this Makita wrench, soon as you hit the trigger, it goes full speed.

The wrench seems somewhat powerful, but I found a couple of (maybe frozen?) lugnuts this guy could not take off. It was on a '03 Corolla (I think using 21 mm nuts), which is not even close to a tank. I don't know if the car's lugnuts were put on by impact guns before at a shop, but I had no problems with any of the other lugnuts on that car.

My other gripe about this wrench is the size and weight. I did some specs comparisons of the latest cordless impacts out there today (i.e. Milwaukee 2663-22, IR W360P, and Craftsman c3 19.2 cordless impact wrench) and the Makita is the longest as well as heaviest of the bunch. When you read the Makita product description, they mention how the tool is compact and light. I'm guessing it's when comparing it to electric impact wrenches at the time the tool came out. Those electric impacts are much heavier and bigger. But now today's latest cordless impacts are more compact and lighter than this Makita. Check out the specs for the 3 other wrenches I had mentioned and see for yourself.

I actually got the Craftsman c3 19.2 impact wrench with the lithium ion batteries to try out and honestly, I like it much better than the Makita. It has variable speed, is smaller, lighter, much cheaper, and feels just as powerful as the Makita even though it only has a rating of 200 ft lbs of torque. I did some tests like tightening a lugnut to 150 ft lbs and trying both the Makita and Craftsman on it. Both wrenches zipped off the nut very easily. When removing a standard 80 ft lb torqued nut on my Honda Civic, it really seemed like the Craftsman zipped them off easier compared to the Makita. I don't know if they overstated the torque on the Makita or understated it on the Craftsman, but both wrenches seem just as powerful, however the Craftsman felt a bit stronger. Though that is just going by my observation and feeling, so there is no scientific facts or hard numbers to prove it. I don't know if this is because the Craftsman has a faster IPM (impacts per minute) compared with the Makita. Anyway, since I only need an impact gun for my cars at home (I'm never going to working on big machinery), the Craftsman seems plenty powerful enough for me.

I will say the Makita LXT series has good batteries and chargers so if you already have an investment in them, maybe you have no choice but to go with this tool if you need something with more torque. I ended up returning the tool because of the cons, but I'm hoping Makita is working on some next generation high torque cordless impact that will address all the shortfalls I mentioned. As of now, I am sticking with the Craftsman I bought.

I bought this to replace my Dewalt heavy duty impact wrench 18v XRP set. I got sick and tired of everytime I needed it the batteries were dead. Right from the start I have been extremely impressed with this tool, the power is great, I have been working on vehicles and farm equipment for more then 40 years I used this to remove the 2 1/2" blade holding nuts from a large bush hog rusted and pacted with debris, it is hard to believe how fast and efficient this tool is. It is stronger then my previous air impact wrenches and much handier out in the field. Too bad I cannot give it more then 5 stars because it deserves it. With the 18v makita lithium ion batteries it is always ready to go even months after the last time it was charged.

This is one of the most cheaply constructed items I have ever seen. I have a slightly smaller solar panel that I use to keep a deer feeder charged throughout the winters – it cost $9 from Cabellas and better wires and connectors than this unit.

Does it work? I don't know yet – I did put it on a multi meter and it does produce 12 – 16v with mostly indirect light through a window with blinds. Don't even think that you are going to attach the alligator clips supplied to a car battery, not gonna happen. They are not made to attach to anything larger than a spring top battery.

I have bought this stuff to convert 220v to 110v only to charge my Dewalt 20v max tools' batteries.

Works perfect so far, hope in the future as well. I connected two Dewalt charges at the same time

and I did not see any excessive heat. Good buy, recommend.

Solidly made transformer that works step up or down (220 110 or vice versa). I have only used it for step-up. Slightly crudely finished not quite the polished exterior and all around superb quality you get from a Tacima but solidly made and does the job without overheating. Minor quibble is that it comes with a European electric plug and an adaptor that converts the two round prongs to US-style straight prongs. Problem is that ignores the earth (which in a European plug is at the edge). Best to chop off the wire and attach a new earthed US plug if you're using it in the US.

This was one of two converters we purchased in prep for an 8 day trip to Spain. It stopped working after day 3 still not sure why. The other converter from a different manufacturer worked great the entire trip.

I also had difficulty with my Chi (hair straightener) with this model. At times during the first 3 days of the trip, the Chi would not work with this converter, yet worked fine with the one from Simran.

This item is also very heavy as noted in the other reviews. I would recommend purchasing a different model and forgo the purchase of this one.

Purchased the Economical Version of this product directly from their website. These solar panels are solidly built. They feel really solid. They also come in sturdy storage cases. After spending a month or more looking all over the web, I chose to purchase from this vendor because of the storage cases and the great customer reviews on their website.

I have three (130W) "economical" versions of these panels. What is offered here is the "professional" version of their 130W system. This is actually a nicer product than the economical version. The difference between the economical version and this version is a) inclometer (to check optimal sun angle), b) CEA Solar patented control charger (for blow by blow geek status updates :) and 3) theft-alarm deterrent system.

My version does not appear to be available on Amazon but is available from their website for about $645. ). As soon as the inverter arrives (A Samlex PST 200S 12A 2000 W Pure Sine Wave inverter), I will be running 390W Solar arrangement with the Samlex inverter and 4 Optima Yellow Top Dual Purpose AGM Batteries.

The reviews on their website are right on. Their customer service support is exemplary. They will NOT sell you what you don't need, and they give good advice about accompanying products. I chose to wait until my panels arrived to purchase the inverter, since I had heard horror stories about UPS guys and glass panels shipping with inverters.

Seriously, go to their website. Look at their products. Call Bob Nichols and ask him questions. Fill out their questionnaire to figure out your actual solar needs. These guys are cradle to grave merchants and I feel very secure that if any thing goes wrong they will work with me to find solutions.

This is a great and useful product, but must be turned to European mode to reach 87.7 87.9 since for some reason Griffin thinks that they are not allowed to use these frequencies (they are).

On the FM transmitter box, push the middle button (Function) and then press and hold the "Mode" button (the right one) for approximately 10 seconds. When you let go you will see a menu for "Us" "Eu" "Ja", select the middle button, "Eu". Let the device sit for a few seconds until it goes back to the main screen, then tune your radio and the transmitter to 87.7 87.9! Now you can use the device on the frequencies that will rarely give you interference (I have the best luck in St. Louis with 87.7).

I have owned many Griffin FM transmitters for the iPod and iPhone over the years, and a couple from their competitors. I keep coming back to Griffin for their high quality products, which when properly used provide the best sound possible over an FM transmitter (even better than most wired FM transmitters).

Several reviewers have mentioned running the Roadtrip in its "EU mode," which is excellent advice. 87.7 FM is the going to provide the clearest frequency in most locales and almost all vehicles. Other FM frequencies' reliability will vary greatly based on the stations in your area and the sensitivity of your FM antenna. My wife's Griffin iTrip Auto FM Transmitter with SmartScan, for example, transmits flawlessly on 104.1 FM via her Subaru's head unit here in Seattle. In my Audi, only 89.1 and 89.3 seem to work with the same transmitter.

I am surprised that the product description and customer reviews fail to mention an excellent feature of this transmitter: RDS output. If your car stereo is capable of displaying RDS data (used by many radio stations to display station identification or song titles), the RoadTrip will display the artist and song name for the currently playing MP3/AAC. Not an essential feature given the easy access to the screen the RoadTrip provides, but it was a nice bonus I was not expecting.

My only gripe so far is how unreliably the RoadTrip engages with my car stereo. Sometimes, I find myself reseating the connection to my car's DC outlet over and over before the static is finally replaced by the silence of the RoadTrip transmitting on 87.7. I'm not sure if I just have a defective unit, or if my car is the problem. Besides this glitch, it works so flawlessly that I'm willing to overlook that one quirk.

Over all this is a nice looking device The transmitter works well in my Honda Ridgeline, it comes in as clear as any other FM radio station.

Griffen could be a bit more careful with the form and fit. One of the buttons was too tight and I had to cut it back a bit with an exacto knife to get it to stop sticking.

The one thing this unit lacks and it is not made clear in any reviews I read was that while it is true that it pauses the music when a call comes in and plays the ring tone over your car speakers it DOES NOT play the callers voice over the speakers. What an oversite on Griffin's part! The unit is really complete, except for being able to take a call through it.

Griffin if you are listening, I have no problem paying $60+ for this unit if I could hear the caller over the speakers and use either the iphones built in mic or a mic in the RoadTrip but as it sits now I am tempted to give it back. Just an FM transmitter is not worth this much money.

Griffin's new RoadTrip for my iPhone 3G works extremely well. You have to searcha litteto find the right frequency to use, but having done so, I have very good performance on my daily commute with no interference whatsoever. The mounting is great as well. Could be a little longer neck, but great overall.

The numerous reviews on this product and the competitors are really helpful in making a decision; especially if you've tried to buy in a brick and mortar store. At least there are some opinions here. Key issues that got my attention were quality of the "arm" and functionality.

With the Griffin Unit you are getting very high quality. The connections to the Iphone is excellent and stays connected; the adjustable arm is excellent quality and stays put. With unit multiple "holders/connectors" come with the unit. Each one is specifically designed for each version of the Iphone, so you do get a perfect fit. Only draw back is none work with a case on the phone. Wish a larger version were available to hold the Iphone with a case on it.

The appearance of the unit is very good and does look like it belongs with the car; not factory installed but doesn't look like a cheap addition. Once connected this unit stays put: holds the Iphone and stays in position. You can easily work with the phone menu without removing the unit; it is very stable.

However as many reviewers have stated, if you are going to use this unit or any FM unit in a metro area there are going to be reception problems. Finding an unused frequency is a challenge. This has nothing to do with the unit; that's life in the big city. I'm in Atlanta; 87.7 works best in the City. But when you get near the large buildings, especially where construction is taking place, other personnel communication devices do come in. On the roads outside the areas of high density, unit works great.

Iphone does not like being attached to devices not sold by Apple, a few statements come up on the screen after connection; just ignore them or press cancel. I have been able to totally replace satellite radio with Internet radio. I'm sure AT&T is not happy with that; more use of the Iphone frequency. Pandora Radio works great and you do get the functionality of Pandora by signing in to your personal account and the service continues to "learn" your preferences. The like/dislike and skip functions are all available.

One aspect that I have found helpful in improving reception is that my audio system does "learn" stations; in that if reception is poor over a few minutes it will self adjust settings to improve strength. Usually within a minute or two if I have poor reception it improves very well. For those in a metro area just be ready for pops and crackles that will occur. You will not get CD or strong FM quality reception; outside metro areas reception is great.

I gave the unit 5 stars because the previous reviews seem to focus on quality, stability, and ease of functionality. The Griffin unit does not disappoint; pay the extra dollars. Have learned that a unit that "moves around" would be a major reception problem. The unit needs to be stable to maintain a dependable FM reception. This unit simply will not move, nor will the Iphone. Also it great holder for using the GPS features of the Iphone Apps. The flexibility of positioning the unit makes it very user friendly for the driver and passenger. Can easily change positions.

Just a final note, please remove this or any device like it from visible site when the car is parked. It looks very nice and expensive; a definite attraction for the opportunist car break-in types. It's really not worth a smashed window so someone can grab what looks like a really kewl electronic device. Makes for a very attractive smash and grab opportunity. This unit is easily removed and fits very nicely in a small place like a console or glove box. Please "remove and place the unit" outside of view when not in use; it really is easy and convenient.

Good luck and this unit only takes a few minutes to setup once you find a frequency. Instructions are very clear and easy to follow.

First off ... 0 Stars. I ordered 3 chargers and received them in good packaging. Upon opening them, two didn't stay in the phone unless you set them down very gently while charging, and the other one doesn't fit at all due to the phone plug being faulty. One of the loose ones had dirt (dried mud) and scratches on the cigarette lighter plug, as well as the "sprint" sticker was halfway removed. It was obviously used, returned without inspection, and re-packaged. On top of it all, it will cost me more to return the items than it would to just buy new ones. I have never had a bad experience on Amazon but this really aggrevates me. Not happy and this seller is officially on my "Do not buy" list.

Bought this for my wife but the connector does not fit snugly to either of our Sprint phones. I ended up giving my wife my phone charger because she was so unhappy with this so now I'm stuck with this piece of junk.

It also doesn't charge at a high rate. If you can keep the connector from falling out, it takes forever to charge and the phone must be turned off. Otherwise forget it. If the phone is on, the charging rate is insufficient to charge the phone.

This is a great little charger, it's light, energy efficient, inexpensive and does the job of a much larger at a reasonable price. I have used this unit to charge a large automotive truck battery and it completely charged it within 5 hours. I also used this unit to charge one of my little sealed lead acid battery packs for a 2 amp trickle charge. I haven't yet had the opportunity to use the 8 amp engine start feature, but I am sure it won't dissapoint thanks to it having the build quality and reliability of the stanley name.

I bought this to keep my batteries at full charge. In the automatic float mode you don't have to worry about over charging the battery. IT WILL NOT CHARGE A COMPLETELY DEAD BATTERY!...THE BATTERY CAN NOT BE DOWN BELOW 2 VOLTS! At 2 volts and above the charger charges the battery just fine and then kicks into auto float mode once the battery is at full charge. It's light weight and has a nice easy to read digital screen. I wanted to get a charger that I could connect and forget, and not worry about over-charging a battery.
