These are fantastic products, while they last. I've now had six of these for my BlackBerry Tour 9630 and Bold 9650 over the past year. I keep one at work, and one at home. For four to five months, they work perfectly, pairing nicely with the Seidio Innocase I use to protect my device. But then, one day, they just stop charging the device. The green light glows on the back and the charger cable works when plugged in directly to the BlackBerry. But the cradle contacts seem to no longer "touch" the BlackBerry contacts properly, and then this otherwise-excellent charging cradle is toast, and it's time to order another one. NOTE TO SEIDIO -time for some quality control at the factory in China where these are made for you?

I use a Seidio Innocase 360 case on my Tour so the OEM "charging pod" won't work for me.

The beauty about this Seidio charging cradle is that it works either WITH or WITHOUT my case on.

I bought 2 of them (one for home and one for the office) and I can simply drop the phone into the cradle to charge it. No wear-and-tear on the USB connector. It also holds the phone at a nice angle for viewing while it charges.

It also has a nice rubberized texture, just like the Seidio cases.

Overall, a great product for a reasonable price.

DEAR SEIDIO:

Unfortunately, I am sorry to inform you that you have lost a once-enthusiastic customer. I have been a loyal customer of Seidio ever since purchasing my first smartphone a year ago. I have bought holsters, replacement batteries, docks, travel kits. I have raved about the products and referred my friends. Unfortunately, the quality of the merchandise is horrible. I purchased two docks for my phone, and they have consistently failed to function within a few months. I comforted myself with the knowledge the inevitable failure within 6 months would at least be greeted with a willingness on the part of Seidio to exchange the defective merchandise, but apparently that does not apply to replacement merchandise. Therefore when the replacement fails, which it certainly does, Seidio only gives me the "option" to purchase a new one, despite my experience that the item will most certainly fail in a few months.

I should have realized that a 6 month warranty, rather than the standard industry 1-year warranty for technological merchandise, was a warning sign that these products would fall into the "junk" category, but I was hopeful. A warranty should be a safeguard to the consumer's money, to encourage the consumer to be confident in his purchase, and to help establish a loyal consumer base for the manufacturer. If it is however a clear indication that the product will most certainly last no longer than a 6 month time frame, this neither inspires consumer confidence nor does it create a good name for the manufacturer, which would in turn lead to a a loyal base of consumer support.

Please note that I will, with the same enthusiasm that I once lauded Seidio products, make sure that as few others as possible make the same mistake I did in trusting Seidio products. Besides word of mouth, I will make sure to post my experience on all online review sites.

The Seidio cases are GREAT. I bought them for my Blackberry and my Android cell phone and love them. The belt clip holsters are also very nice. Very thin and very sturdy. The charging base for the Blackberry is also great at night I can drop the Blackberry in the charger and don't have to take it out of the case.

Oh yes, keep those battery cable connections clean too. That means wire brush the post and inside the cable mount.

Unit turned off after 5 seconds. Internal battery would not charge. Manual impossible to understand. Ended up getting a Vacron for $300. After looking at other dashboard cameras, it appears that you won't get anything reliable until you get into the $300 range. The $29-$59 dashboard cameras all appear to be junk. Some people apparently get them working, but the vast number of bad reviews on most of them should have been a warning.

Suggest getting dashboard cameras that record in H.264 rather than AVI. AVI is "freeware" whereas for H.264, the manufacturer had to pay for that software which suggests that the rest of the system is equally high quality. If you don't really need a dashboard camera, any of them will work, but if you really want one you can depend on, you'll have to step up...

Just got it today. So far its working great. It took a little to learn the functions, nothing difficult. At the 640 setting the picture is clear, can read plate numbers. So far I'm impressed. I'm using a 2gig card, and am recording a total of 16 min in loop mode. I've ordered a larger card. So far I'm very happy, I will update after more testing. Thus far I would give the pic a 8, the sound a 6, and the mount a 5. At this point I would recomend this to a friend.

The charge cable is USB on one end with a spring loaded clip on the other end (comes with USB wall adapter too). The clip has two small prongs that connect to the back of the bracelet. It disconnects when you are 10 feet away from your phone. If you are in your house and walk to another room it will disconeect. Anybody who is reading these reviews for the purpose of buying this product should be aware that a portable satellite radio is not based on the same technology as a Walkman-type radio sold back in 1980s. Satellite radios work by line-of-sight, which requires an unobstructed path between the receiver and its signal source. When properly installed and used, the XMp3i works great for recording and listening to live XM/Sirius broadcasts. However, you must ensure the unit is receiving a strong signal to make it work. If you plan on using it mostly in an automobile (with a live signal), that means purchasing an additional car cradle/antenna. If you wish to use it mostly indoors, you'll need to install the included home dock/antenna properly.

I've had a good experience with the Xmp3i so far. In fact, I was able to listen to live XM/Sirius radio while biking over the weekend with very little interruption. I also used the home dock to record some of my favorite shows for playback later. I believe it is the ability to record programming which is this unit's strong suit. You can record up to five channels at the same time, so getting vast amounts of music/talk on to the device in a timely fashion is easy; provided you have correctly installed the home dock. The playback is flawless and is much more convenient than listening live since you can skip songs, commercials, etc.

The interface seems a little sluggish at times and is not the most intuitive, but it works. Thanks to the microSD slot, you can load up your MP3 library and play your own tunes as well. I was impressed by the overall sound quality from both the satellite feeds and my MP3 files.

The Xmp3i is best-suited for users who will pre-record their music/shows to bring along in the car for playback. It also works well as a standalone device for plugging into your home stereo system. Do not buy this if you want to listen to live XM/Sirius broadcasts when you take the subway to work, or while you're hanging out in mom's basement waiting for some laundry to dry. Though it has a built-in antenna for live reception, the manufacturer clearly intended that to be used in outdoor-only situations.

This is a great little radio. Reception is great. I love the recording of XM stations feature. BUT, as of this writing, the enclosed software DOES NOT work win WIN 7. So if you have WIN 7, you will not be able to copy mp3 recordings on this unit. Why they (XM) have not fixed this is beyond me. I called XM about this, and they are useless. Cutomer Service immediatly claims no responsibility whatsoever. They tell me to call Microsoft! Unbelievable. WIN 7 has been out for almost a year now. Come on guys!

My XpressRC screen went out, and I needed a replacement. While I tried every way under the sun to find a current radio not made my Audiovox, I couldnt, so decided to try this one, since I dont own an MP3 player, I figured it would be a nice backup when I wanted to listen to something different.

First, this is a satellite receiver. Anyone that expects a satellite receiver to work 100% like an FM radio, doesnt understand the concept. While more forgiving than DirecTv or Dish, you really need to be able to see one of the two satellite locations for uninterrupted reception. Im not going to fault the radio because it blanks out inside a house. It needs an outside (or south window) mounted antenna (included) unless you happen to live where there is a terrestrial repeater (I do).

The radio needed two firmware updates when received. They took about 15 minutes. Added several features and fixed several bugs.

XM audio quality on the included ear buds is good. Much better than I expected.

Sound quality through the powerconnect FM transmitter in my work truck is much better than the previous clip on your FM antenna device. No issues at all in driving around out in the country out of repeater range. Usual dropouts going through tunnels, or under gas station awnings I had with the XpressRC.

The MP3 section is great. Audio quality is excellent. Needs a MicroSD card to store more than 7-10 albums at 256K rate.

Havent tried the song or station recording feature yet. 30 Minute buffer works fine.

Easy to navigate. Now if the screen doesnt burn out like my XpressRC did, Ill be very happy with this receiver. I do plan to try to buy an extended warranty for it though.

It claims 4 hours for XM live, and 16 hours for MP3's. Ive been playing MP3s for 6 hours and the battery indicator hasnt moved yet.

The documentation claims you shouldn't have the radio in an environment over 95 degrees as it will limit the lifetime of the battery. Its 5 degrees warmer than that here in the shade, so I figure 120+ in the truck when its parked.

Might need to keep a spare battery in the fridge :)

If the product holds up to daily use, Ill be a happy camper.

EDIT TO ADD: 02/08/2012 Have had the radio running almost 2 years now. Works perfectly. The powerconnect to the vehicle electrical system gives interference free reception. Recording works great, and Ive built up quite a library, as well as put all my mp3s on a SD card. No issues with the radio at all after almost 2 years. Pops out to bring home on weekends, and plugs into the home cradle with an outdoor mounted antenna, although Ive stopped doing that and just use their internet service at home now. Good radio. Highly recommend.

I just purchased this product and was pleasantly surprised by its features, small size, and sound quality. It activated quickly and worked very well with good reception hand-held outside as well as indoors with the accessory antenna (included) in a window. Unfortunately, it is now fairly useless because I made the mistake of upgrading the firmware from v1.29x to v1.31x. This upgrade inactivates the control wheel of the device which means you can't use it -you can't selected items like channels, categories, set-up option, etc. The warrantee says the product should not be returned to the retailer from whom you purchased it (Amazon) -but should contact XM radio. XM radio technical support said they can't help, I should contact Audiovox. Audiovox said to leave an email on their website. I'm waiting for a response. Searching the web, others have had this same problem. I'll wait and see if any fix comes along soon, otherwise I'll return to Amazon. Glad I bought it here. I'll update this when and if I get more info.

Update: Spoke with XM again today. Even though the packaging that came with the unit has an insert that says in capital letters: If you experience problems DO NOT RETURN THIS PRODUCT TO YOUR RETAILER but instead call XM Radio. The XM technician says they now have a solution -"Please return your unit to Amazon, buy another unit, and don't upgrade the firmware." Clearly that will work, but I think I'll wait until I hear back from Audiovox.

Final update: Audiovox's response was:"We don't provide customer or technical support for our XM radios; you must go through XM." So, I used Amazon's wonderful replacement service and was sent a new radio by overnight FedEx with Saturday delivery, printed out the return slip and sent the old one back. The new radio works just as well as the original but with a working control wheel. I love it. Downsides: every time I open XM2GO software to manage books and MP3s on the unit, it tells me my firmware is out of date -but I'm sure not going to update the firmware again. This unit is currently running firmware version 1.29x. If a firmware version appears that is higher than 1.31x, I might consider trying it, although I'd do so with some trepidation. I'm going to change my rating to four stars if Amazon will let me.

Final, final update: Thanks to a comment received to this review (feel free to read), I have now upgraded my new unit to firmware version 1.31x and after following the commenter's advice to remove the battery and wait a while -it works and works just great. Hope this helps others.

Works great as long as you are standing in the middle of an open field and holding the radio over your head. If you live in a big city, XM does appear have the Clear Channel Repeater System backing up their satellite signal. I am guess that is where the good reviews are coming from. I live in a rural area. Took it to the ball park (no trees) for a morning jog. I could only get a signal while jogging in certain directions. It does work OK at the house hooked to the home dock with the external antenna but that is not why I bought a portable radio.I am boxing it up now to return.

I bought the helmet as I was looking for bluetooth so I can talk while riding. I am going to break up this review into 3 parts. 1. The bluetooth feature 2. The style of the helmet 3. The sound level First the bluetooth feature. The bluetooth feature works as long as you are not moving. I have a quiet motorcycle and you can't even hear the person you are talking to on the other end. Even with the volume up all the way it is too quiet. I am very disappointed in that I was looking forward to it. I have already returned the helmet waiting for refund. If you don't mind a bluetooth helmet where you can talk while standing still then the bluetooth helmet here will work for you fine. But you will not be able to ride and talk at the same time. Now let's move onto the style and appearance. I would rate the looks of the helmet a strong 5 as it is awesome looking. Now lets move onto the sound level. The sound level is too loud for a bluetooth helmet. People say you can hear the wind and this is unacceptable and it's even a blue tooth helmet. You think they would make the helmet quiet. Here is my honest review and final statement. If you don't mind a helmet that only works when stopped and not moving you will love this helmet and its perfect for that. If however you want to talk to people while riding I would not order it.

That is the key. Make sure you are ok with stopping and talking to someone then it will be ok for you but when you think about it, if you can stop then why wouldn't you just use your cell phone and save the money on getting the helmet? See it doesn't make sense.

For the price, this helmet seems ok. It dosent have the liftable front face, which I have noticed is rather shakey on these models. Dosen't have the sun glasses, which I hear gets loose and drops out of the helmet at random times. Was dissapointed in the quality of the Bluetooth. I have tried others that was way nicer. You cant hear anything on the highway, not even music. The one speaker just isnt enough. You can hear it on regular streets however, and the battery will last just about all day with a full charge. The helmet if outfitted with a slot for another speaker, but the wires are hard wired in, so any tampering with the system to make it a two speaker system will void the warranty.

I bought this hoping for the best, mostly because it matched my bike. Everything is nice and secure setting up the Bluetooth isn't difficult at all just put the battery in and let it charge. I be used it for listening to the iPod while riding and sound quality is great. One thing I got a medium and it was a little smaller than I intended so if most mediums are snug on you this one might be a little bit tighter. But I got it worked in and it fits snug now. This helmet is OK for the low price. The fit is a little smaller than most for a large. The visor seal is questionable. In the photos it looks awesome but up close the low price quality stands out.

Like any other person I wanted to be able to listen to music while riding and answering my calls at the same time. This is a very nice helmet that can do both. It has lots of padding on all sides. The graphics are really nice. The helmet looks sturdy as well.

Coming down to the bluetooth functionality, it is very easy to set up. when you are riding within the city it is easy for you to listen to the person on the other side. when on a freeway riding at 70-80 mph it will be a little hard to hear everything, but you will be able to hear most of the conversation.

The microphone in the device is a little on the downside. I was talking to my wife and she told me that she could hear me clearly but the volume was too low. I tried increasing the microphone volume on my phone as it is in the pairing mode but then it didnt help a lot.

Also Amazon uses a 3rd party shipper called OnTrack for the delivery so, if you have a gated entry to your residence then they wont be able to enter the premises and leave the package outside your front door if you are not available. UPS, FedEx, USPS usually have the access to enter the building premises and leave the package outside the door. If you miss the delivery then they won't redeliver/or charge you for redelivery. you would have to go to their warehouse to pickup your package within 3 business days of delivery or else the package will be returned.

Overall I will rate this helmet a solid 8.5/10

Graphics: 10/10

bluetooth: 8/10 (due to the microphone volume issue.)

Other that this it is a great helmet for the price.

And yes to add to this make sure you take a size bigger than what you actually wear as this is on a smaller side. I usually wear an L but took an XL and it fits just about right.

This device is improperly titled. It is not compatible with GPS units for 2 main reasons:

Cons:

1. It has coiled wiring and for any GPS unit you need a long wire you can snake around the dash/motorcycle etc.

2. It is the wrong voltage. It will charge your GPS, but you won't be able to use it like you do if you had the original charger. For some reasons the Nuvi GPS units have a hardware or electrical failsafe that won't let you use them if you have the wrong charger so you'll be driving looking at an image of a PC as if you had it connected via USB to your computer. This is useless if you're intending to navigate.

Pros:

1. Cheap.

2. Can power up your cellphone if it's mini-usb compatible.

Conclusion:

You get what you pay for.

I thought this would include a interface to connect directly to my old TomTom 910. The mount I have for that TomTom will not charge it. Turns out it was just a plug in to a car lighter and a plug into the mount that I already have that does not work. It is not worth my time to send it back so it will be thrown into the drawer with all the other useless power cords I have that serve no purpose.

However, I was able to use it for my LG enV2 VX9100 cell phone. The smaller flat connector fits well in this phone. That is why I rated this car charger 3 stars, since it was advertised for the wrong phone. The retractable feature works great. I wished that it had worked for my wife's phone. I have bought other car chargers for the MOTO W755 that either came broken in pieces [cheap], or did not fit like this one, or did not charge the Motorola battery.

Just came back from a trip to Central/Europe. The adapter works as advertised. I had no problems with it. Yes, all the outlets in Europe are the recessed type. However, regarding Amazon reviewers such as TravelGuru who posted a review, I'm not sure if I should fault the reviewer for not knowing how to operate the equipment or the manufacturer for not providing explicit instructions. The adapter prongs screw out, so there is no problem with recessed outlets. I would recommend this adapter.

This travel adapter worked pretty well while we were in Italy and France. The only complaint I have is that the plug portion is not very long. There were many outlets in Italy and France that were somewhat recessed, which meant that this adapter would not work because it got too big too close to the plug (or the plug was not long enough). If the outlet was flush with the wall, there were no issues. Luckly we had a few different adapters for these types of outlets. The size is great (small), compared to other adapters.

All of the outlets in Europe sit in a circular recessed hole. This adapter is too big and does not fit in any of the recessed outlets I have tried.

They need to redesign it to be smaller so it actually fits.

I had decided to spring for this unit as opposed the "660" because of the few [but amazing] reviews I had read (particularly the ability to leave it plugged in and it won't overcharge). The 660 comes up as #1 in regards to user reviews here on amazon, but that simply because of the NUMBER of reviews. This JNC950 unit has equally good reviews, but only 10% of the reviewERS. Well, I decided to spend the extra for this unit. It jump started my 91 camaro from a complete cold and dead battery didn't have to hook directly to battery terminals either. It then started an old piece of crap camry several hours later. This thing was seam less both cars cranked as if their batteries were completely charged.

if you're looking at the 660, but want something even more hardcore buy this unit. It's worth it, it's not a toy (heavy as hell) and will jump start anything. no frills attached, no light, no nothing. just a jumpstarter.

Product works just fine, in that it charges my batteries, which it is supposed to do. I'll be honest, I have not tried the car adapter, and what with not being in the EU, I have not tried that one either. The only thing is that the wall adapter goes from a totally normal orange-ish light to kind of freaking out and flickering frantically back and forth between green and orange once the battery is charged. But maybe that's just something about my battery. Anyway, that indicates it's charged, and it works fine, so it's all good. (I'd probably give it four and a half stars if I could, because the flickering's a little weird, but since it doesn't affect its functionality, I'll go with five.)

At first, the red light charging indicator did not work in my car even though battery was getting charged. I thought the problem was with the indicator. But when powered on wall socket, the red light appeared. Then after subsequent uses, it started working properly in the car too. Could have given 4.5 but now that I don't have any problems with it, I will give a 5.
