Fuse Solar Charger

Fuse Solar Charger Color: Charcoal PanelsI purchased the Fuse Solar Charger just under a month ago, and so far I'm impressed with the quality and thoughtfulness of this product. It is ruggedly constructed and comes well stocked with a good capacity battery and with several of the most popular power adapters. At the time of my initial review I've only tested this by charging the battery and by directly charging my cell phone in controlled settings, I have not taken this hiking yet.

That being said here is what I can tell you about the battery and about hooking directly to the solar panel. My test device to charge was my Palm Pre, which has the "Govnah" application installed. This application monitors temperature, processor, memory, battery, load, etc. The most important feature for these tests being the ability to monitor battery input and output. Based on some simple tests I've done it appears that the Battery does not charge my phone quite as quickly as the Solar Panel directly. I noticed the battery was only sending out about 300mA 500mA to my phone whereas the Solar Panel (in direct sunlight) was sending about 600mA. I suspect this has something to do with the battery on my phone being higher capacity, and I noticed the more charge left in the battery the more the power from the battery charger dropped (50% battery 400mA, 70% battery 300mA). Ultimately each method has a downside. When using the battery it is consistent, but slowly charges with less power as your device is charged, and secondly when charging with the Solar Panel it only reaches its full potential in direct sunlight. The less direct the light, the less charge you get, or none at all.

Overall this is great gear, and in my opinion the stats that the manufacturer has listed do not over or understate the product. The charge times for the battery seem to be pretty accurate (in direct sunlight!), and as stated using the panel directly in optimal conditions can give you quick charging results as well. A couple of final notes I want to mention. One, I suggest purchasing a good USB battery charging kit (See Sanyo Eneloop 2-AA NiMH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries with USB Charger). They work mostly the same as if you have them hooked up to your computer, and it makes for a great portable charger for your camera batteries. Lastly, you can easily remove the battery from its sleeve in the Solar Panel bag. It is very slim and lightweight, which is great in particular for women with a purse, but just a tad too bulky for a pocket. It has the ability to charge most phones fully 1 to 2 times before needing recharged, and can save you in a pinch.

I just got three of these which I plan to use in Peace Corps service in Kenya. I haven't yet used the solar panels to charge with because I have been testing the batteries using USB and AC power. I will update my review once I've used the panels, too. I just wanted to at least give some information on this product for anyone who is curious.

Initial impressions:

* very well made/designed

* solar panels are very sensitive (if the red indicator light is anything to go by)

* lightweight

* the product images and description lists these as coming with nine connectors, but all three of mine only included four.

* the batteries themselves are very light

I looked at the Solio chargers, too, but opted for this system because:

* It's more versatile:

Voltaic batteries can be charged using the solar panels OR using a USB connection on a computer OR USB connection directly into a wall socket

can strap to a bag, a bike, a roof, anywhere you can clip the straps

* It's more outdoorsy:

waterproof solar panels (Solio's panels aren't...)

* Easy to use:

USB connection right on the battery (Solio requires an adapter for this even though most devices now can use USB)

I've used full-charged batteries to power:

* BlackBerry (takes half a battery to fully power)

* iPod touch (most recent generation; takes half a battery to fully power)

* Kindle 3 6" (haven't yet tested how long it takes to charge...)

The negatives:

* the panels are waterproof, but can be scratched...take care

* the batteries have a power on switch that gets clicked constantly if you have them floating about loose in a backpack

UPDATE (January 2012):

So...I'm back from Kenya and, as it turned out, I almost never needed to resort to charging the battery packs using solar energy alone. So, I don't having any news there.

I can say that while traveling, the little battery packs were *marvelous* to have. I took at least one with me everywhere I went so that I could recharge my phone, my iPod, and my Kindle if I couldn't find an outlet to plug into. Even when I could find an outlet, I still mostly charged everything using the batteries so that I could prevent exposing my electronics to power surges.

In the future, I'll just bring all three of my battery packs for travel. I'll only bring one of the pairs of solar panels, leaving the other two at home.

It worked fine until last summer. I live in the south so yes, it can get pretty hot, but you would think that a solar charger would hold up better. The battery pack apparently melted and became so warped that it no longer fits together. It is now useless unless I want to buy another battery pack.

I also agree that more detailed instructions should have been provided.

I just finished a six day bicycle tour of the Natchez Trace and the Fuse met and exceeded all of my expectations. I am very pleased with the purchase. This charger will be on all future tours.

firstly, unit delivered sooner than predicted. these unit for some reason are sold on other web sites as spin off of Icom with icom products looking/ specifications same !! I own icom products, and believe underneath it is possibly a icom product being sold as such with a mystery reason sold so cheap. these are excellent units that have features that exceed if not contain features not found at all even on high end radio"s costing up to 400$$ !! i know cause i own them all. reception good, especially comes to the repeater system. i put a stubby anntenna on, and easily get 20..30 moile range, even the fm radio strong reception. and the volume is loud. the only down fall, unless your a techie like me, programing can be tough ! I could go all day with details about these units, but by all the reviews think wasting my time as they all say same what i would say. good units a gift at this price, why i bought 3, wierd ? naw, cause i love these and good for years to come. they are built with metal..no plastic !! highly recommend., especially for the techie, for others, get the download cable.

YTX4L-BS Power Sports Battery Replaces 4L-BS EXT14 GTX4L-BS CYTX4L-BS

YTX4L-BS Power Sports Battery Replaces 4L-BS EXT14 GTX4L-BS CYTX4L-BSMy scooter battery died.

We replaced it with this battery.

My dad checked the battery with a voltage meter when we recieved it.

He said, this is how I tell how the state of the battery charge condition was 12.3 volts.

A fully charged battery should be at least 12.78 volts.

Batteries below 12.5 volt usually need to be charged.

This battery needed to be charged .

After more than 5 years, the original battery in my scooter died. Battery prices were all over the place. This one was well priced and the looked to be the exact fit. I believe there was a good return policy if it did not fit as well.

I arrived in a few days, fit perfect and had enough charge to start the scooter. I put it on a battery maintainer and have been using it since without problems. I believe to maintain any of this type of battery, it's best to keep them on a maintainer or top them off regularly. I was told that the scooter charging systems are minimal. Hopefully I will get another 3-5 years from this battery, like I did the first one (if I treat it well).

GSI Super Quality FM Transmitter/Modulator with Car Charger Kit - USB Charging Port - LCD Display

GSI Super Quality FM Transmitter/Modulator with Car Charger Kit - USB Charging Port - LCD Display
  • High Powered FM Transmitter - Plays Music from Car Speakers
  • USB Interface - Reads and Plays MP3-WMA Music Files from your Favorite Audio Device
  • LED Screen Display - Charge Mobile Phones and Bluetooth Devices with USB Cable
  • Powered by Cigarette Lighter In-Car, or with 2 AAA Batteries Outside of Car (Batteries Not Included)
  • Customizable FM band frequency settings, 200 Channels, PSL technology to optimize audio transmission

Over the years, I have tried various wireless FM transmitters. The performance was limited due to 4 or less FM bands that the devices could be set to. I found this GSI model to be the best one I have ever used. It can be set to a range of anywhere between 87.50 and 108MHz. It has an auto shut-off if there is no sound input. It can be plugged into the cigarette lighter which saves the batteries. Most of all, it has the best sound that I have ever gotten from an FM transmitter.

There are a lot of bad reviews on this item. I decided to get it any way as the price was less than a burger and fries so was worth the risk and I didn't need anything fancy.

Either the negative reviewers got a bad one or the device has been upgraded. I have used it several days and I'm am very impressed with how well it works. It has the power to play over existing radio stations and the quality is not bad at all to me. I listen to Pandora from my smart phone.

I have some suggestions for some of the problems that people have said.

The Cig lighter plug only works if the batteries are out of the device.

The device will shut itself off if there is no audio playing.

I'm happy enough to order 3 more for my other cars. (kids cars)

I hope this helps.

For the money this transmiter is okay if you are listening to music. If you are listening to Podcasts or other spoken recordings it does not work as well. I listen to a lot of sermons and other Christian radio broadcasts downloaded off of Itunes. When listening to a spoken program the there is an iritaing hum or ringing type noise. I am considering buying another transmiter by soundfly from Amazon.

For $10 though this transmiter is not a bad buy especially if you are going to listening primarilly to music.

I've used this almost every day for 6 months and it works great. I'm ordering another one for my other car.

Morningstar SunSaver SS-10-12v Charge Controller 10A 12V

Morningstar SunSaver SS-10-12v Charge Controller 10A 12VMay 19 , 2013 update. Same panels, same batteries, same charger. All is well. Fridge died , but controller is still doing the job.If you battery(s) are worth more than $25 this is probably the best cheapest controller. If you buy a cheap controller, you need to check what is happening with a volt meter. The cheap ebay controllers i tested are not good.

2 years ago-This is an update after 5 months of constant use in Baja california. I run a 12volt refer and the lights to a small house.

Testing with a watt meter:

Watt meter between charger and battery. my panels

( 320 year old 50 watt panels) had at least a peak wattage of 130 (9.5 amps) watt on a sunny day, and hit 200 watts on some partly cloudy days. So the unit was pushed to the max, and held up well. Wattage to a fully charged battery was 5-8 watts. There was no heat coming from the unit. Would up my rating 5 stars. Therefore the following review should be changed in spots, but I'll leave it for now.

How Morningstar Sunsaver ss-10 works and the potential flaw.

Assuming temperature 25 degrees C: the controller will put a voltage of 14.4v into the battery. With no load on the system, and sun, a voltmeter will always read 14.4v no matter what state of charge the battery is in. This is just what my battery type wantsconstant voltage. So far great.

But when the battery is fully charged , the float voltage does not go down to around 13.7v. The float voltage is 14.4v. After 2 days of charging, an analog amp meter shows zero current going into the battery. however my 0-25a meter is accurate at best to + 1 amp. So maybe a float voltage of 14.4v is ok? Provided the current is very low. My batteries (expensive) call for a float votage of 13.2v to 13.7v. I'll know more when I get a digital amp meter.

I can't find any specs from Morningstar on how much current is going into a fully charged battery.

It's just sort of dissapointing that I spent the extra money for a name brand, and may have ended up with an inferior product. If I had known the float voltage was 14.4v, I would not have purchased. Especially with no specs on current at the float voltage. If I hadn't modified the mounting holes , I would return it. Now I'm left with the problem of finding out the current myself, and then babysitting the thing so my batteries don't overcharge.

The temperature sensor works well.

Correction. I started out with an 85% charged battery. I do not know what the initial charging battery voltage would be if I had started out with a more discharged battery. Probably would depend on % battery charge and output of solar panels. Float voltage still 14.4v.

Update. I bought a 10 amp controller that looks identical to the HQRP 10a. Was not purchased from amazon. Was 20 bones delivered.

That controller is way way worse than the sunsaver. It starts the day on a fully charged battery and enters an equilization phase. Battery voltage is brought up to

16 plus volts then shut off until voltage goes down to 14.4v. Then the full power of the panels ( 6 amps in my case)is put into the battery until voltage goes to 16 plus again. This went on for an hour until I pulled its plug. Next day same thing. I'm not sure what kind of battery likes this treatment. Not gel and not my AGM. Would be ok for an old car battery you don't care about. So for under 60 bucks the morningstar may be as good as you can get.

I've put a switch on the morningstar and can lower the float voltage to 14.1v. I think I can live with that. Or maybe go back to the nc25a I was using.

I have no use for the load contols on these controllers. I'm not lighting a street lamp. My main use is running a fridge/freezer, that shuts down when batteries are below 12 volts. I would be happy if the manufacture left out the load feature and just spent the savings to make a charger that correctly charged the battery.

The Morningstar SunSaver Charge controllers do the job.

My solar system is for a weekend cabin that is mostly used during the summer and autumn.

But be careful in hooking up; I damaged one when I inadvertently shorted a connection.

Another one was damaged when mice built a nest on top of the controller and it overheated.

The unit is well engineered, and maufactured. There is no way one could install product wrong. The risk of short circuiting is practically impossible,as there are tall walls between the terminals. It is epoxy encapsulated and therefore waterproof. The backplate is constructed in such a way as to insure ventillation, minimizing heat buildup.I would definetly recommend this unit.

I have a garden away from the house that is too far to run electricity. I needed an electric fence to keep the critters out and a pump to bring the water in. I have several solar panels a friend gave me so I decided to make my own little solar power set up. I ordered one of those cheap Chinese made charge controllers to save a few bucks. Well, that was a mistake. The thing was DOA and looked like a piece of junk. The instructions were in Chinglish.

I decided I needed a better controller so I did a little research and came upon the SunSaver on a sailing website. I figured if it could stand up to the salt water, it could take the weather and would be reliable. Since it was cheaper to order through Amazon, I ordered it here. It's hooked to three 40 watt panels that put out 7.5 amps. I have a deep cycle battery that it charges. There's a 12 volt fence charger hooked to the battery and a 12 volt water pump that I hook to the battery when I need to water. I installed it a month ago and it is working just fine.

I would urge anyone who is looking for a solar charger to pay the extra few bucks and get a well built, quality product like the SunSaver. It's worth it.

Wagan 2003-6 400W Continuous Power Inverter

Wagan 2003-6 400W Continuous Power InverterGreat, durable device that is sure to last. The only downside is the loud fan and bulkiness. Not too noticeable if cars a/c is running on high or if music is playing.

I purchased this unit to provide AC power for my computer and recharge my cell phones while on long cross-country trips. The unit has worked perfectly and provided reliable power for my equipment despite some rough highways and temperatures that ranged from the low teens to well over 100 degrees F. The unit has two USB ports whose power many cell phones will accept and two AC plugs for those that will not. I found that a 150 Watt inverter that I had picked up on special a few years ago was fine for one device, but would overload on two. The 400W inverter handles the 10W iPad charger or Dell laptop power block as well as two cell phones simultaneously. I stow the inverter under the passenger seat which also mitigates the noise from the fan, but you must periodically check the red and black nuts for the DC power terminal as they will loosen over time and bumpy roads. The unit has been reliable now over 16,000 miles and still going strong.

Buy Wagan 2003-6 400W Continuous Power Inverter Now

I bought this for a road trip across the country. Didn't really have much time to shop around. It's a solid piece and offers more than most of the power inverters in the price range (at least to my limited view). Well powered USB inputs. One thing to note however is that this inverter is LOUD. Not bad if you're traveling at 65 MPH down the highway with the music blasting and the windows down, but louder than you'd prefer for simple "parked" applications.

Good piece and I'm pleased with the performance, but if you need something quiet shop around.

Read Best Reviews of Wagan 2003-6 400W Continuous Power Inverter Here

So when I received this inverter I expected the fan to be a little loud, based on previous reviews, and it was. Not extremely loud, but I decided to fix the problem. A screwdriver opens the case and reveals a small 40 mm fan. Probably the cheapest fan you could find. I picked up a 40 mm computer case fan from Amazon for $7 and swapped them out. I took about 10 minutes. This new fan is only 14 dBA. You need to hold the inverter about 1 foot from your ear to hear it. So now I have the best of both worlds, a solid feeling 400w inverter with fan cooling that is whisper quite. Fan link below.

[ASIN:B000RD0RDU Scythe 40x40x10mm Fan 2 pin with 3 pin adapter.]]

Want Wagan 2003-6 400W Continuous Power Inverter Discount?

This is my first power inverter I've purchased. I did however know what to expect from friends and family that have these. This inverter is one of the best built I've seen. The fan being a little loud is just the inverter keeping cool. A little fan noise should make you feel comfortable that this thing will not overheat. So far I've used it to recharge flashlights, 18 and 7.2 volt DeWalt batteries, and NiMH rechargeable AA and AAA's. It has done a fine job at everything I've put to it. It does not run hot, I'm sure cause of the awesome fan it has. And all the charges have been well within the normal charge time as opposed to me having the chargers plugged into the wall at the house. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that needs the power while on the road.

August CR150L FM Transmitter - Wireless MP3 Player for In-Car use with SD/MMC Card Reader / USB Por

August CR150L FM Transmitter - Wireless MP3 Player for In-Car use with SD/MMC Card Reader / USB Port / Remote ControlI have purchased over a dozen of these players to use myself and give away. When they work, they are great transmitter/sd card players. Once you figure out the controls, they are easy to use and do a great job, and they come with a random play mode. Their downside is that some do not work out of the box. But for the price, I order some spares. You can also get a 120 volt ac to 12 volt female cigarette lighter addapter and use them in the house, giving you a cheap SD card player for your home stero. I have also set them up to use with my old boom box radios outside in the yard. With these, I can play any music I want on any old FM receiver.

This product did not work at all. I am very dissatisfied and would like a refund. I ended up going to Wal-mart to purchase another one that actually works. Do not buy this!!

OEM Rapid Car Charger with IC Chip (CAD300SBEB) for Verizon Samsung Omnia i910 Smartphone

OEM Rapid Car Charger with IC Chip for Verizon Samsung Omnia i910 SmartphoneExactly as advertised! It really is an OEM Samsung car charger, quite impressive for the price. It does work, the only drawback I notice is that it doesn't charge properly when it is hooked into the combination adaptor, which allows you to charge and listen to the headphones at the same time, but I don't know if it is a problem with the charger, or with the adaptor/phone itself. Judging from the quality of the charger, I would say that you are getting EXACTLY what you think you are ordering! For HTC ThunderBolt 4G / HD2 / EVO Shift 4G / HD7 / G2 / Desire ADR6275Aria / myTouch 4G / G2 / myT

The price was right and it works as advertised. Now that my wife and I have matching phones (HTC Evo's)it's so convenient to be able to plug in either or both phones while driving. The unit comes packaged with one cord so we just bring along an extra one so we can charge both phones at the same time.

Usually, my wife seems to always forget to charge her phone at home so she's used it quite a bit more than I. When we're on long road trips we leave the phones plugged in so we can use them as we travel and when we get to our distination, our phones are (usually) fully charged for a day of sight-seeing.

I use the GPS (Sprint service) feature on the phone, so my old Magellan GPS is now obsolete. Besides, the battery had gone out (dead) on the Magellan and it would have cost what I paid for one of the phones (with rebate), and I was just about to pay out nearly a hundred dollars to update the navigation system. Thank goodness we bought the new phones.

By the way, the blue light on the plug (the part that goes into the car's cigarette lighter) is just right and bright enough to let us know the connection is working. The phones have battery-charging indicators also.

Rate a 10 on a scale of 1-10. Great product and well made.

This car charger works perfectly. Its dual USB ports is not only great for charging my HTC HD7 phone but also for charging an iPod and/or a Nintendo DS, which is especially useful for long drives and road trips.

On the good side, it can charge 2 devices at the same time. The bad side is that if my 'droid is navigating, it burns about as much power as it draws, so it doesn't really charge... Already bought a better one from a name brand, kept this as a spare.

Clore Automotive JNC4000 1100 Peak amp 12V Portable Jump Starter

Clore Automotive JNC4000 1100 Peak amp 12V Portable Jump StarterThe unit I bought was purchased from Griot's Garage, which is this item rebranded. It is thin enough (3.5" wide) that I could keep it in my Mazda RX-7 between the seat and storage bins. I used it many times over the last 5 years and it seems to be holding up great. I put it in my finance's car around a year and a half ago. Even she has commented on how often she has used it; not for herself but for coworkers and customers at where she works.

The only criticism I've found is that the cables are a little short at 23" long. Not unusable but I'd like them longer. I just purchased the "660" version of the Jump-N-Carry, the JNC660 for my truck due to the 46" long cables and a larger peak amp rating. I've never had it fail to turn over a vehicle, but I thought it may help with the V8.

BTW I attached two strips of heavy duty velcro (the hook side) on each side of the back of the unit. This prevents the unit from sliding around in her truck.

For Christmas I wanted to buy my parents an auto battery starter that would work without them having to get out of their car, since they live in the Rocky Mountains where it can stay below freezing. My husband informed me because of their elevation, climate and they drive an SUV they would need something with a lot my amps; so with his help on line we found the jumpstart 4000. Dad was so excited to get it, he opened it before Christmas and had it out during our visit starting quads that had been sitting out in the snow and not running for quite some time. Then wouldn't you know it our Ford F-250 truck would not start one morning, after a -9 degree F night, when we were taking our one year old to the Urgent care with a 103.7 fever. We grabbed the Jumpstart and the the truck was up and running in minutes. By the time we were headed home from our Rocky Mt.Colorado trip the Jumpstart had been used nearly everyday, even to jump the neighbors snow plow. We were all very impressed with Jumpstart 4000 and knew we made a good purchase.

The only short-coming to this unit is the 23" inch cable leads. These units will out perform "ANY" other unit on the market today and especially the styles that you can buy from the big dept stores. Do any of those "other" units come with a certificate to repair or replace their unit for $25.00? Mine did when I bought it back in 1998 and the unit I have is still working to this day... I believe its now $50.00 to send it in for a one time exchange! An "internal" charger is built into this unit so you don't have to deal with attaching an external charger like some brands have out there to charge it, and who doesn't own an extension cord? I do use my unit commercially and if you can safely hook this unit up to the correct leads on the battery your boosting than this unit will not let you down! Buy it and you'll love it! Note" The 660 Model has 46" inch lead cables and is a larger more powerful unit but. this unit will get the job done if you don't need the longer cable leads.. Enough said! Good Luck, Mike

The Clore Automotive JNC4000 is the product to take seriously. After looking around a long time, I decided that this particular model was the best. I am very pleased with my decision.

I first chose a jump starter from my local store. It was a Super Start Power Pack Portable 12 volt power source with 1000 peak amps. When I got it out of the box, I noticed that the lights on the actual charging unit were wrong. The printed label on the unit had been reversed leaving me very confused to whether it was charged or charging. Instead of reading "Charging" it said "Charged!" I called the company to complain and they said that they would call me back. They didn't bother. The quality control was in question and the company didn't care!?

Back to the Clore. It is sturdy, built well and the instructions have obviously been written in this country and easy to read. There are no corny lights in red or green. It has an easy to read needle that clearly indicates where the charge is or how much more is needed to bring it up to its peak power. Nice.

The smaller cables are of no concern for the average home owner. They are conveniently located and easy to unwind. This particular sealed battery can be stored or travel in any direction. On its side, back or whatever. Many units say that they should be stored upright or packed that way for travel. Not this one!

So, the big complaint seems to be that there isn't a power cable that comes with it. I personally feel that this is not a problem. I will pack a small power cable about ten feet long without that multiple cable that comes on the smaller ones sometimes used for lamps, etc. It takes one plug outlet on the box and one on the wall. I like that it is not attached to the box itself so I can store it easier while I'm on a trip. This unit I have been told is used mainly by auto dealerships to jump start dead batteries when they have been depleted sitting in the parking lots. By the way... the little card that comes with the unit has a lifetime guarantee, but it has gone from $25.00 to $50.00 and now is up to $75.00. So, when something goes wrong to the original owner to send the product back and forth and to repair or replace it costs $75.00! Forever... if you live that long! I recommend this jump start to anyone who needs something that is dependable and long lasting. Good Luck... Mike

I have had this in my warehouse for quite a few years. This unit has started everything from a honda civic to a completely dead 18 wheeler. the 18 wheeler took about 7 or 8 minutes. I have since retired and took only one thing with me. The only thing bigger than an 18 wheeler would be the space shuttle.

Competition Solar 7-Watt Amorphous Solar Power Battery Charger

Competition Solar 7-Watt Amorphous Solar Power Battery ChargerI bought 28 of these panels (not on Amazon) and I think they're an amazingly good panel for the money. They are amorphous which means they charge in diffused sunlight not just direct sunlight.

I set up three of them on the deck in February on an overcast day and hooked them up to a discharged car battery. With my voltmeter I could tell they were putting out around 24 to 25 volts each and sure enough, the battery went from 10.4 volts (way too dead to even turn over the engine) to 12.5 volts (fully charged) by evening.

With solar panels it's dollars per watt that counts for comparison. Right now, anything that sells for about 2 bucks per watt is a good deal which is what I paid for mine. I could have bought two 100 watt panels, but I'm planning on putting my panels on roof mounted tilting axis poles so they can track the sun, and these panels are only 16" wide so the pole can be mounted very close to the roof and still get a high degree of tilt in either direction for tracking, but still be low enough not to get blown off by any nasty winds.

And panels are easy to link. Just connect the wires together in parallel (all the red wires to one big wire, all the black wires to one big wire) to increase your amperage. Each one puts out .58 amps so my 28 panels should provide just over 16 amps of charging power with a charge controller in line that will be plenty to fast charge a couple of deep cycle batteries and run lots of small appliances with an inverter.

Good product, fast ship. keeps my tractor battery up at all times. Like the battery clamps that come with solar cell. Three days in the sun and my dead car battery came to life to start another day. I have two of these and both are great to have when no ac is available.

The lighter outlet in our Toyota Yaris is near the hand brake, between the two front seats.

The cable is just enough to reach the windshield, but it is too stretched.

The other problem is that the mechanism that fixes the plug to the lighter is not very flexible,

my car's lighter has almost pop out when I tried to remove the charger.
