My first charger lasted 3 month and stopped working. I went on line to order another one and noticed that

the car charger had a life time coverage. I ordered another one which I recieved without question and fast.

Sorry to say that the second one only lasted one and a half month. (I am not a heavy car charger user). So after

only half a dozen times, it failed me again. I have given up on ordering another one from the same place and wasting

my time one mor time.

Being a little naive the last time I had to replace my security system battery. I called the alarm service who promptly came out and charged me $85 for the service call. This time when the battery needed replacing I went to amazon and found this exact replacement for $15 and free shipping. Just unplugged the old one and plugged in the new one, easy. And it saved me $70 what a value. Shipping was extremely fast. Great deal!

I browsed Amazon and found this to be the best deal for a replacement alarm battery, so I purchased it. After installation, I received another call from my alarm company regarding low battery. I had a technician come out and he informed me that my charging terminal was operating correctly, but the battery was not taking/holding a charge. Whether the battery was old, or defective from the start, it was a complete waste of money. With a service call, and second battery, my alarm is finally online.......$147 later.

Also, because the battery is classified as hazardous waste, returning it was not an option.

1/21/13 I have only had this for a couple of weeks, but seems to be working absolutely fine. I was reluctant to buy it as I thought it might be a gimmicky little piece of junk, but it is not. Now...again....I've only had it a couple of weeks, but it appears to be made well and does the job. What I like so much is that I am rid of the bulky cord. I store the charger in the glove box and the bulky cord on the original car charger took up too much room. The retractable mechanism on the Retractable Car Charger springs right back in when you hit the little button. It is too soon for me to say how the retractable mechanism is going to hold up, but it seems to have quite a spring to it so I feel it will last for quite a while. I don't charge the phone regularly in the car so there really is no reason for the spring to wear out. I paid under $5 for this item and my feeling is if it fails in a couple of years....I've had my monies worth. By then I'll more than likely have changed phones and also more than likely this retractable charger will not be applicable to a new phone. My only suggestion would be that you store it inside of something to protect it. I wouldn't just throw it into the glove box. The reason I have purchased it is that the original car charger that came with my phone got damaged while in the glove box. The piece that goes into the phone for charging got crushed by something in the glove box. We cannot figure out what happened as we don't store anything heavy in the glove box, but none the less the piece that went into the phone was crushed and destroyed. So, again, I would put the Retractable Car Charger inside of something to protect the little piece that goes into the phone. I've put mine inside of a small makeup bag, but anything that has a little padding that can offer some protection will do.

I keep this charger in my car at all times. I has a very good retracting cord.

I am very happy with mine. I woud recommend it.

This charger works with DC and is lightning fast. It's great if you don't normally use the cord in your car that connects to your cigarette lighter or other power source. I don't like to have the power cord hanging from my windshield and charging the unit before I use it in my car avoids that. I don't use the traffic feature which isn't very good anyway so I have no need for the FM receiver attached to the cord. If you use this cord, then you don't need this charger unless you move the unit between different vehicles alot, as I do. You can't tell from the pictures just how small this unit is. Mine also had a 50% charge upon receipt and did not take long to fully charge. I was looking for a jump starter that I could keep in my car for emergency situations. My previous jump starter was too large and I wasn't able to keep it in my car without it getting in the way. These walkie talkies were purchased for my 8 year old son for his birthday. They are replacing an exact set he had previously but misplaced. They really do work great. I can't speak to the mile range because he just uses them here around the house and in the yard but they work excellently for that.

The sound is clear and pretty much static free. They use 3 AAA batteries, which were included. I know from the other set we had that the battery life on these is pretty impressive.

If you are considering buying some toy walkie talkies for a child, I would avoid those. They are incredibly staticky and really no fun for kids at all due to the static and crappy reception. Spend the 5 more bucks and get these instead!

For the adults, I think these would be great to use while shopping or doing outdoor activities.

The kid loves these.... I bought these to replace some cheap ones my 7-year old had that were practically worthless.

The important stuff:

1. NO Way does this get the 16 miles it claims. OK, we haven't taken it out to stand on a hill without any buildings, so maybe that's the problem. We do, however, get about 1.5-2 miles in suburbia around houses, trees, etc. We tested it in a car moving away from the house a couple of times. so that's good enough for us. We also found it reached a little farther in a park by the house with less buildings in the way.

2. Beware the 'belt clip'. Once it's on, it's quite difficult to get off which wouldn't be a problem, but it's nearly impossible to change the batteries with it on. We've decided to keep the clips, but not put them on the radios unless we feel we must.

3. This model uses batteries. I like this because I've had issues with some items that will recharge. Also, I can use rechargeable batteries. Another point is that I can take extra batteries with me to change immediately if needed -and I didn't want to spend a great amount on higher-end radios just for that feature.

4. Battery life seems ok/normal. Again, I'm using regular batteries: Duracell Ultras. With good use a couple of hours a day/2-3 days a week we had to change the batteries after a month.

All in all, my kid's happy. They are clear and have enough range for our use.

These are AWSOME in all aspects except the fact that they chew thru batteries within 5-15 minutes of being turned on! The range is great! The clarity on nearly all channels is as well, great! The only problem I have is I cannot afford to use them as it gets incredibly expensive changing six batteries, (3 per unit) every 10 min... I believe this is a manufacture defect, but so far have not had any luck getting a response from the seller. Humm...

Purchased the Uniden GMR 1635-2 radio. Though it is GREAT for the price ($20), I would definitely recommend going with the 1636-2C (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004NYB684 for only $30) or any of the higher up ones (ranging in price). I say that only because the battery life on the 1635-2 is not all that great. The 1636-2C has a rechargeable battery, so you'll be saving a lot of money and time on replacing batteries.

Pros: Works great; Good distance; Good clarity; Easy to use; Super affordable!

I bought this less than 6 months ago, and barely used it. I tried using it about 4 weeks ago, and discovered that it faulty and unable to provide any charging!

I emailed the company for a replacement, since I assume there is a 1 year warranty. But to date, there is still no response.

No more Just Mobile product for me! Getting a faulty product is acceptable, but not responding is unacceptable.

My advice try to get such product from a shop, where you can easily replace it, but not through the internet.

I actually purchase 2 of these, both of them went tits up on me within 1 month of normal usage. I suspect its the pin out on the new Iphone 5 cables. As soon as I pop in the new I phone5 cables the charger went dead. I am giving this a 2 stars because it is by far the best looking charger out there. The little LED on the front is also very thoughtful the aluminum finish is Apple grade. So for the design I am giving it a 2 stars. A charger needs to charge, no matter how pretty it is, if it doesn't juice up its useless.

Just Mobile does great work, and this is exactly what I wanted to solve the iPhone + iPad problem while traveling. I use iPhone as my GPS device and that drains the battery too fast for long term use. Now my wife can use her iPad at the same time. The Just Mobile dual car charger is bit pricey, but very nicely made and it looks great.

I agree with the other reviewer who noted the unreliability and poor service for the Highway Pro. Mine worked quite well for about four months, but then I received a message on my iPad that the device was overheating and had to shut down. After that, the Highway Pro never worked again. I sent repeated emails to JUSTMobile asking for help in replacing a fuse or getting the device working again, but never obtained a response. I assume there is a circuit there that is supposed to act as a fuse and failed, along with the unit. There are others not as pretty that work reliably.

the Inverter is just the right size for my businessIt is perfect for running my 4 1/2" grinder and then my 3/8" corded drill.It is perfectly capable running my interior lighting in my vans as well as a small heater for in the winter time along with my key cutting machines all at the same time with no problems. I think this is a good choice for back up sump systems. Works well with Zoeller 507-0005 backup sump pump system.

Sunforce 82883 Solar "AA" Battery Charger

Only way this unit would be worth anything is as a last resort. Even in full sun it rarely generates more then 120 mA and 80 mA is probably the average and the slightest wisp of cloud drops it to near zero. With todays 2000-2750 mAH rechargeable batteries this unit would take 125 hours to charge 4 2500 mAH batteries. Assuming 6 hours of "full" sun a day at 80 mA it would take almost 21 days to charge those four batteries. Real world would be more likely a month.

Like I said, maybe if it was all I had, but there are better places to spend your money.

I bought one of these several years ago and am surprised these are still made.

As someone has already mentioned, this unit doesn't provide a lot of power. You're really looking at weeks to completely charge a set of batteries and that's if you have a place that gets sun most of the day. Having it inside a window causes a pretty significant drop in amps, but leaving it outside for weeks isn't a great alternative either. Obviously partial charges and top ups may work for some people, but for most this is just not efficient enough.

But another big problem with this unit is the batteries are in a closed plastic case in the sun. Heat degrades rechargable batteries and I doubt any manufacturer would recommend it for such an extended period as this solar charger requires. I don't feel comfortable with how hot they get as it probably shortens the battery lifespan. There's a platicky smell when it heats up. There really should be an air gap and a more open case that allows excess heat to be carried away.

With two big flaws, I think people should apply their money toward a better charger, even if more expensive.

We bought this to be able to use a tea maker we had bought oversees. The 3ooo W unit did not last for than a couple of months and we had no success with the manufacturer or Amazon to get another unit or refund.

Like another reviewer, I too thought this may only be a stabilizer when I opened the package. (I bought the similar but lower-rated Simran AR-350.) The package only refers to the stabilizing functions, saying something like "converts 75-140 V to 110 or 175-250 V to 220". However, my voltmeter shows that it does, indeed step-up 110 to 220 and I'm happily using mine on 110 V to power a 220V device.

I purchased the converter stabilizer to step a 220 line down to 110. I have a long run of Romex from my barn to a shed. I needed more power at the shed and by putting 220V on the line and then converting it back down I can cut my voltage loss by half. I was a bit worried since one review said that it did not convert but only stabilized while others said it converts 110V to 220V and 220V to 110V. It does the conversion just fine. A voltage check shows it to be spot on. The 110V outlets stay at 110V as the load changes so the stabilizer is working great also. This is while the input line drops from 220V to 205V. Great product!!

This is a little behomoth of tried and true technology. I expect to have it for decades to come. Truely it is Heavy Duty as it weight a ton, but is does the job it is meant to without issue. I use it at least a couple time a week for hours at a time, I use it with my 230v Vorwerk Bimby which also cooks at 100 degrees c, so I can definitely tell you this little transformer can handle the load. I do wish that it were a little more compact and lighter but other than that it is a jewel.

As an owner of a solar photovoltaic company, I loved showing off my phone and my "solar" charger. In fact, I used the charger as promotional material and gave away free chargers to those who signed up for my email list. I worked ok but never fully charged in the sun even after hours of full exposure.

Unfortunately, my personal charger melted on my dashboard after 45 minutes in the sun! It was an average Colorado spring day hovering around 68º F so it wasn't unusually hot. The solar component started to warp and the battery bulged out on both sides. I immediately went online and looked up the site looking for a contact #. I called the 888 line and ...oh, had to leave a message. After a day or so, no response. I left a message on their "contact" form. No response. Called again, left a message. No call back. Does this company exist? I believe not.

Don't waste your money on another company with bad customer service. Or NO service at all.

My son got this for his ipod and it has been attached since day one. He loves the extra charge it gives his ipod. The solar charging is a rather slow process that, like all solar chargers, must be left in bright sun. But where this item really shines is as a battery backup.

We tried everything to get this to work. It said it was fully charged and then when I went to use it on my ipod it would not keep it charged like it said. I would not buy this product.

Beyond lighting up a FALSE indication of charging when connected to a computer thru USB, the charger is all dead both after USB and solar sessions to charge it. I wonder how Apple certified it as suitable. Surely only benefitiary is Apple with its royalty income; all others are taken for a ride!
