It's been almost a month since I odered this and have yet to receive it. Very disappointed in this vendor (Webtreo) and will not deal with them again.

Battery came in a timely manner and did not work properly. THEY CONTACTED ME TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS OK!!!!!!!!!!!! That is not a misprint, they sent me an email asking if the product was working satifactory. I sent them back a one line email stating the battery did not work but I wanted to keep the charger and just replace the battery. I promptly received a new email (with their apologies) stating that they are sending out a new battery immediately. I received it the next day ALONG with a postage paid return receipt. Not only did they send me a new battery without any hassles whatsoever, but they paid to ship it back! Who knew customer service still existed on the net. BTW, the new battery works great. I would HIGHLY recommend this company!

Hard to complain about getting an OEM battery AND a car charger for less than half of what they would have charged at the Sprint store for the battery alone--assuming they had it in stock, which they didn't. Shipping was prompt and the items worked as expected. Unlike an earlier reviewer, I saw no evidence to suggest that the battery which was shipped to me was anything other than brand new.

I got these for my grandsons, and my daughter particularly asked me to write a review praising them. They are easy to use, and very durable. She found the user manual very helpful, actually written by someone who speaks English. She has found one feature particularly helpful. It is possible to lock the controls, so that the kids don't get the settings out of whack. This eliminated some irritation caused by the younger child changing channels in the middle of the game.

If you are looking for simple, compact, short range two way radios, this is perfect for you. It's very simple to use, fits right in your palms for easy grip and handling. Some of the negatives:

My company has gone through many different brands of walkie Talkies and this is the 4th set of these I have used. They work well, are reilable, and have clear signals most of the time. On occasion we will get some radio noise and have to switch channels, but it is VERY rare. I would reccomend these again and will buy more in the furture as we expand!

They have a charger so you don't have to keep buying batteries. We put them back in the charger at night and they are ready to use the next day. The sound is clear and very easy to use. Just wish I had bought them sooner.

I honestly have nothing bad to say about these. They work incredibly well--even in areas where we'd have no cell phone reception--and are really easy to use. This doesn't cost much more than the really cheapie ones that have about a 50% shot of not working even straight out of the box, but it feels solid and I've never had a problem with any of them. (I say "any of them" because I tried one and it worked well so I bought two more, and I'm about to order another two.)

I use them to charge an HTC Droid. Seems to do the job, though I don't use any of the really power-hogging features of the phone, like GPS, while I'm driving.

Panel came early. Box was trashed! UPS neads to be held accountable! I opened box because it didn't appear to have intrusive damage. The protective case looked nice and has a very comfortable handle. opend up case and panels looked fine....and there were two Jolly Rancher candies in there! Not sure what thats about. They could have broke and had sticky gue all over since I am in the desert. I set it up immediately and it was very easy and came with the stated conections. While stroring the panels I did notice the case was collapsed just barely on one corner...ups sucks! Otherwise it did it's job.

As for only four stars....I started looking at the catalog and noticed a picture of the same panels (130 watt) but noticed the charge controller had a digital read out. I have installed large, glass, metal-framed solar chargers on a previous boat, but wanted something light, flexible, and removable for the tender to a large motor yacht. This unit seems to work well and provides 0.3 to 0.5 amps of charging current under typical conditions in San Diego in the winter, which is enough to keep the battery charged when the only draw is occasional running of the bilge pump when it rains.

This item comes, as advertised, with two accessories. There is the 12volt "cigarette lighter" female plug and a longer cable with battery terminals on it. Both of these accessories plug directly into the plug attached to the panel.

What I have used it for:

On a sunny day, I took it to the park and laid it out flat on a park bench when the sun was as close to zenith as it can be at noon in WI in the beginning of April. First I charged my I-phone. A simple 12 volt usb adapter plugged into the 12 volt cig. plug did the trick and the phone immediately started charging, no issue with "charging not possible with this accessory" messages like I got trying to use my Brunton 5W thin film charger. This is the 14 watt and worked great, charging the phone just as fast as the wall charger can. Finished with that, I then charged an Ipod. With that at 100 percent, I plugged in a Brunton Solo Batt Pack and started charging 4 eneloop AA batteries. I finally departed with a haze forming in the sky and the sun's angle lower at about 3:30PM. The panel laid flat the entire time and was not canted toward the sun. So, in 3.5 hours, it was able to charge two devices, one from about half charge, the other from below 20%. It also put enough charge into the eneloop batteries to charge my Ipad that night by about 5%. That's not bad when you consider a set of AA charged in a LaCrosse Tech wall charger only charged the Ipad about 17%. In 1.5 to 2 hours it managed to bring the batteries up from a low charge to almost a third of the charge they would have had overnight plugged into the wall.

I can't speak to the panel's ability to charge laptops, but I was surprised when I took my Panasonic portable dvd player and plugged it into the 12 volt cig. plug. It started charging! I am impressed. My advice is go big. I have messed around with the smaller panels because of an acute case of the cheaps. They never did what I wanted them to. Finally getting the panel big enough made all the difference in the world. I would never recommend a panel smaller than 14 watts. I would also recommend that if you want to take one of these panels backpacking, take a foldable one, not the roll. I love the roll model, but it does take up some room and you have to be careful not to squash it flat when it is rolled. Between the Brunton and the Powerfilm (I have both brands) I would definitely recommend Powerfilm. The cells are made in the USA and it just plain works better.

Be advised that a particular seller (that claims to be the actual distributor for Baofeng based in KY) advertises the original UV-5R radio but then ships the UV-5RA instead. Normally this would be no big deal, as the UV-5R series of radios are exactly the same inside and have no additional features except one the "newer" UV-5RA unit has a different front plastic face plate but that newer faceplate causes additional problems the design of the newer faceplate on the UV-5RA does NOT allow you to use the normal Baofeng 3800mAH battery (nor the cheaper 3600mAH generic clone battery that the same "distributor" claims (and lists) as an actual Baofeng 3800mAH battery. They claim their generic battery will work unmodified on the UV-5R series of radios (their justification for the switch), but it doesn't. See my Baofeng Extended Battery review for more info).

Yes, you can modify (on your own) the Extended Battery so it will fit the UV-5RA (or the other series of UV-5R radios with modified faceplates), but if the "distributor" lists the UV-5R (but then switches your order to whatever they have in stock instead of what they have listed) and then ships (in the same order) a generic clone Extended Battery that isn't the actual Baofeng AND doesn't work/fit with the radio they shipped, why is it your job to modify their items to make them work?

In addition, when you (as an Amazon customer) point out their multiple listing errors (shipping a non-Baofeng battery, shipping a less than advertised 3600mAH model (vs. the actual Baofeng 3800mAH model that was advertised on the listing), and shipping an Extended Battery that won't work on the UV-5RA radios that they switched your order to and shipped with them in the same box), they claim that:

a) Baofeng doesn't even make an Extended Battery (funny since I own several already with Baofeng Electronics' label on the inside of the case and Baofeng's name imprinted into the back of the plastic battery case), and that

b) if I'm not happy I should pay to ship my order back to them (this is how they treat a customer that ordered multiple radios, extended batteries, and programming cables all at once and paid over $117 in shipping fees)?

None of these issues may bother some folks, especially those that either don't care which model of radio they get and/or never plan to get an Extended Battery as an accessory, but I wanted folks to know what customer service issues you may face in dealing with this Baofeng "distributor" in KY.

I needed another plug for my GPS when it croaked, but what I found on Amazon was even better. I found a two-parter: it plugged into the cigarette lighter as usual, but as a bonus it also plugged into any electrical outlet. This way I could plan my routes not just in the car (where I was impatient) but ahead of time in my house. I'm glad the charger works in both places!

Not much to beef about with this product as it is a simple USB cable that allow sync operations between the A626 and a computer(PC). The cable also permits the charging of the A626 battery from the USB ports on a computer that it is connected to although it is a great deal slower that the AC adapter which can be purchase to charge the A626. It is well made and has an RFI device built into the computer connector end of the cable.

I've used it and experienced no problems with it or with my A626 due to the cable. The same cable is usable on many other devices with have the USB 2.0 connector on one end and the mini USB connector on the other end (device end). I have used it to charge and sync my Sony ICRecorder (voice recorder) and it works just fine. It is a standard pin to pin cable and can be used with other devices with a mini USB connector that need to port to a USB connector on modern computers.

WARNING: The picture that Amazon has displayed with this product which I purchased from an outfit in the Old World (United Kingdom) is not a USB cable. It is a picture of a automobile charging cable for the ASUS. I suppose the picture was attached by Duragadget the people who market the product and not Amazon. Still beware that what you see is not what you will get when you order this product!

This is the perfect thing to bring on a trip to visit family, or anywhere else you don't expect to have enough outlets to charge your devices. The one odd thing is that the packaging contains instructions that claim that you can only charge 1 USB device at a time, which is odd for a travel device that has 2 USB outlets. I didn't notice any issues charging 2 but if this is a big concern for you, you might want to investigate further before buying. Overall, I'm glad I own this; it is compact and useful, and the folding plug makes it very easy to pack.

I like the compact and lightweight features of this unit. It has enough power to start a car with very low charge. However, it only has enough juice for 1 or 2 attempts of starting the vehicle. Maybe I have to recharge the unit a few more times to get peak performance.

One gripe is that there is no cord to an outlet. You have to provide an extension cord to charge the unit. Make sure it's a heavy gauge cord too.

Extremely compact and well "branded."

The clamp handles touch one another, making their release awkward. (This can be overcome by clipping one higher than the other on the case.)

Two problems with the plug prongs. A larger cutout on the case end would permit the use of a wider range of extension cords. (The earlier comment about a computer power cord is excellent.) The prongs are slightly loose and move inward, so that the connection with the cord is marginal.

I purchased a previous version of this (back then the product name was the "Mighty-Mite") although the color (mine is more towards black) and the graphics have changed. I don't believe the product itself has changed much, with the buttons and lights in exactly the same place.

Despite the size, it has worked great over the years. I purchased two back in 2006 and they still work well.

I'm not docking off a star, but there are little things that have to be understood for this product to be more useful. Sometimes the automatic charging system doesn't stop, although the charging current is probably so small that there's little risk of damaging the internal battery. I've found that disconnecting then reconnecting showed a green "charged" indicator in those cases. Since the current draw is pretty small, you can safely use something like a simple household extension cord. Since the plug is recessed, the way I've dealt with it was to use a 2 to 3 prong adapter, which serves as an extension of the plug. The other alternative is to get something like an outdoor electrical cord with an end that will fit in the recessed area. I rather prefer this to the ones with wall-wart adapters, since I can easily obtain replacement extension cords and 2/3 prong adapters on the road and can keep different sets in the house and car. I don't particularly like storing wall-warts in the car, especially given how delicate the thin cable is.

It doesn't come with a male-male cord to recharge off of the 12 V accessory port. You can also use those to maintain the power in a car (like electric presets) when you're changing a car battery. Amazon has it, although Schumacher also sells it directly.

These are well-made and manufactured in USA!! There is not much to say about jumper cables, but some of the ones you see at automotive parts stores are pretty flimsy and the conductors look like they are significantly smaller than the gauge marked on the packages. These 6-gauge are suitable for cars with medium size batteries such as compacts or older models. For a new sophisticated car with lots of electronics and a big battery (BMW, Lexus, Mercedes, etc.), I suggest 4-gauge cables instead.

These cables are a good value. They work well enough if you're attaching them to automotive battery terminals; however, the jaws don't close together far enough to bite onto motorcycle/powersports type terminals, which limits their versatility.

After accidentally including my last set of jumper cables with the sale of my last car, I was in need of new ones!

These are long and heavy duty probably overkill for my 1.4L engine, but if you needed to jump a truck, they would be great. The whole assembly is well put together, with good, solid connections from the handles to the cables. They have worked great on a hybrid Highlander and Chrysler 300 (co-worker left the dome light on in the company car...).

If you don't have a lot of space though, skip this set since they are not small.

I have not actually used these yet. I purchased them after having had need of them and not having any. The clamps are tight and cord is a good length. The only thing I don't like is that there is an opening under where you hold the clamps that has a bear wire on the other side. I am not sure if you would be able to touch it through the very small slit but it is something that I have kept in my mind. Over all pretty good quality. Not the kind you would use everyday.

Seems well made and for the price you can't beat it. Mine came with 1/2 charge but charged up quickly after plugging it in for 30 minutes. Read the manual. You have to recharge every 30 days to maintain a full charge. That is normal for these portable chargers.

You can't tell from the pictures just how small this unit is. Mine also had a 50% charge upon receipt and did not take long to fully charge. I was looking for a jump starter that I could keep in my car for emergency situations. My previous jump starter was too large and I wasn't able to keep it in my car without it getting in the way. This one is small enough that I will be able to keep it in the trunk at all times. I am also looking foreword to using the 12V charger on our next camping trip. I tested it with some additional items around the house success all around. The adapter gets a little warm but not hot.

Pros:

1) LED light turns green when the Adapter is plugged in and drawing electricity.

2) Good variety of tips.

3) Tips fit snug, no worrry of them accidently coming off the cord.

4) Storage case for spare tips.

5) Cable tip is marked to ensure proper polarity.

6) Exceeds value expectation in relation to it's relatively cheap price.

Possible Cons:

1) Product is very light if you abuse it it might have a very short service life.

2) Not really designed for commercial environments or applications. More like a "light to medium" usage item. Definitely not "heavy duty". Then again, you get what you pay for and it was very reasonably priced.

I have been using them for a week so far without any issues. Therefore, I am unable to comment about long term durability.

I have been able to use this with several electronic gadgets that either didn't come with adapters or that came with adapters that were later lost. The build quality isn't the best, but you can select your voltage AND your tip. And the price is awesome.

I did my research and this is a quality battery. The price, including shipping, was the lowest I could find for such a good product. Installed easy and is working fine. We have frequent power reductions and the ups along with this battery give me peace of mind.

Easy installation and worked so far so good. I found this replacement on Amazon.com to replace a dead APC ES550 UPS factory battery. It has been working well. Don't know how long it will last but because of the cheap cost I would not worry too much.

Purchased 2 batteries for a couple of apc ES 550 that have bad batteries. The batteries arrived on time. They look just like the original but with one big difference.

The terminals are about half as wide as on the original apc connectors. The cables keep slipping off the terminals on the battery. If you can manage to get the cables to stay the ups charges and works as it should but I left for a few days and turned off the ups, when I returned and turned on the ups it acted as if there was no battery charge. Looked everywhere for the cause and finally opened up the battery compartment and the negative cable was not nmaking contact. Would be a perfect battery if the terminals were a little larger. (wider).

I used to buy a lot of APC UPSs because they were cheap on Black Friday. However, the last 5 years or so they have not been on sale and the ones I have are dropping like flies. New ones are $60-80, so I thought I would replace the battery instead. This was my first foray into replacing a battery in a UPS (note I have a fair amount of electronic experience and frequently rebuild Black and Decker drill batteries with the guts from a cheap brand).

I bought this to put into an APC Back-UPS ES 500. This battery physically fits perfectly. It is rated at slightly higher capacity than the original so hopefully that it will provide longer runtime.

Initially it did not function. The terminals on the battery are a little smaller than the connectors in the UPS, so I had to pinch the connectors down a little with pliers to get a good electrical connection. Once I did that it seemed to work fine. At this point only time will tell if it lasts. If it screws up within a year I will post an addendum to that fact.

I had problems with this APC replacement battery from the day I got it. The positive and negative poles are thinner than on original APC batteries, so the wires do not fit tightly and kept coming off. After having to reconnect them several times, I finally had to tapes the wires down with duct tape. Then after about 3 weeks of use the battery died. The APC unit alarmed and the "replace battery" red led came on. Amazon has a no return policy for batteries, so I just went and purchased a new APC es550 at another store. Just to test this replacement battery, I put it in the new APC 550, and again the "replace battery" led came on. So the battery I got is obviously defective. I wrote to ecom electronics and asked for a working battery since I can't return this one. I will post again when I get their response.

UPDATE: I just received a replacement battery from ecom electronics. They responded to my post right away and I had the replacement battery within a week. For those reasons I am changing my rating from one star to 3 stars. I will install their new battery and see if it lasts longer than 3 weeks. I will post here again once I determine if the replacement battery keeps working for a reasonable amount of time.
