Kensington 33362 Ultraportable Power Inverter 150

Kensington 33362 Ultraportable Power Inverter 150This is the perfect adapter for me as it powers both my notebook and all of my gadgets from a single brick. I use it for my notebook, DVD player, cell phone, mp3 player, guitar trainer and PDA. The Kensington is simple, compact and lightweight without a lot of fussy extra stuff to deal with. The iGo and Targus systems require a separate dongle for low-power devices like cell phones and CD-players.

"Brick" really isn't a good description though, because the Kensington transformer has a super slim profile and is lightweight. I bought the 120w version because some people reported trouble with the 70w on newer HP Compaq Business notebooks. I figured the 120w is good now and insurance against obsolesence in the future.

The power supply is just part of the picture though, as the real beauty of the system is the "smart tip" feature. I frequently fly on international and long haul domestic trips and like to take along my portable DVD player for entertainment. Instead of hauling heavy auxiliary batteries or having both a DC adapter for the plane/rental car AND the regular power bricks, cables and wall warts for AC, now all I need is a single power supply and the right tips.

It seemed like I was always forgetting to pack the one crucial component I needed, like the USB cable to charge my Tungsten T or the wall wart for my mp3 player. With this system, everything stays in one pouch in my carry-on briefcase and the OEM power supplies stay at home, no more sharing and forgetting....

On the downside, the AC power cord really needs to be longer. Now it hangs down off the wall with the weight of the brick straining the cord. This will eventually lead to failure and an electrical hazard unless replaced. Also on my wish list is a separate European two-prong power cord to eliminate the need to pack a plug adapter.

Technical support is a joke, as the call desk didn't even know that any of the DVD tips were available. Technical spec information is nigh on impossible to get. My DVD player wasn't listed on the website and I wanted to know which tip supplied 9v.

Good luck trying to find that out without a major research project. I wish Kensington would just publish a compatibility chart on the site and keep it current, instead of that goofy query-based tip selector. It is so out of date, that it doesn't list many of the DVD player models that have tips (e.g. Panasonic).

I wanted to find the right tip for my Philips PET1000 DVD player. I finally had to go to the manufacturer websites that Kensington makes tips for to dig out which one uses 9v (it was Panasonic). Bought the tip, works like a charm. This works for other devices that aren't listed too, like my Tascam gutiar trainer. If the tip fits your device without forcing or isn't loose, it is probably the right one. However, ALWAYS check the voltage and amperage first to avoid frying your stuff.

The bottom line is that this is head and shoulders above the other AC/DC systems out there. If Kensington can keep up the product support by making new tips for gadgets as they hit the marketplace, it could be around for a long time.

I am very happy with my Kensington Inverter and recommend it highly. It has served me well on many road trips and airline flights.

Having a 3-prong outlet makes this a far more versatile and useful device than inverters that just have a tip for the laptop. It is by far one of the lightest devices of its kind that I have found and great for travel.

There are a few tricks of the trade when using these kinds of devices. One is that airline "empower" ports only put out 75W--and if you read the fine print it can get shut off abruptly at any time during the flight with no warning.

There ar a number of laptops that require more power than 75W--particularly if you are trying to charge the battery at the same time. No inverter can help you solve this problem but it is something to be aware of. In many cases you can either remove the battery or connect it and let it fully charge up before you turn the machine on and it will work fine.

And finally the box says 150 watts, but this is *peak* power which only lasts for a short time (such as the startup phase for your laptop). Sustained output is 120 Watts--just something to note in case you are running devices that require that reuqire a lot of juice.

But all in all this is a *great* little device and I recommend it highly.

Buy Kensington 33362 Ultraportable Power Inverter 150 Now

I purchased the Kensington Universal 120W AC/DC Power Adapter because I wanted a lightweight solution to keep my IBM/Lenovo T43 laptop powered through long airline flights. Kensington's product is a slick piece of engineering the brick is actually lighter than the one that came with the T43 (that went in the closet immediately, probably never to return). And, it's probably < 50% of the weight of some of the previous AC/DC adapters on the market. Yesterday, a friend was telling me of some incompatibility between his DC adapter and the set-up in American Airlines coach. I've had no such issues. I've had the opportunity to employ my Kensington Universal 120W Adapter at home, office, car and plane and I've had complete satisfaction in all settings. And as for the previous reviewer's comment about the 5" cord, yeah, it does make for a rather odd, dangling effect, but I've not had a situation yet where I've been unable to make a connection because the brick got in the way (although I've had a couple of stares at Starbuck's when I cram the brick into the power alcove).

This power adapter is light, versatile, and performs its function very well, but verify that compatible tips are available for your specific devices.

It has replaced five power cables I used to lug around for trips, and worked perfectly in Europe and India on 220 volt supplies. It's actually lighter than my original Dell laptop adapter. The anywhere adapter also works with a 12VDC auto outlet and the Empower outlets found on many airlines.

This is a power adapter only, so it will not perform a data connection with your PDA, iPod, etc. something to consider if synching while traveling is important to you.

The power cord from the outlet to the brick is 6" short. This is by design to allow the adapter to hang off the wall and have more air circulate around it. The adapter can get quite hot when drawing maximum power. I like the short cord because it's one less item to coil just toss it in the bag. I've actually worn out two other power adapters by coiling the cords and causing them to fray. The cable from the brick to your device, in contrast, is extremely long (approx 3m/10ft). Kensington offers a retractable cable; I haven't bought it but it is intriguing.

A few more hints:

-The adapter comes packaged with several tips for the most common devices, including the iPod.

-Check to ensure a tip is available for your device. Kensington does not have the newer Nokia cell phone (AC-3U 1.5mm) tip; you can get the Nokia adapter for the older tip. There are tips available for digital and video cameras. Check that the tip is in stock! I had to look around for the BlackBerry one.

-Consider getting the dual charging cable. This is a splitter that powers two devices simultaneously (one high power such as a laptop and one low power such as a phone/PDA).

-The included zip case is awful. It's thin and the zipper split open easily.

This is based on a couple of days' experience.

The AC seems to work. Haven't tried DC yet.

It's lighter than the factory power supply for my Compaq Presario 2100. That's 18oz; this one is around 13oz without the DC cord; even with the DC cord it's a couple of ounces lighter. It's also a bit slimmer, though wider and a little longer.

It has built-in velcro straps on the cable. Cool, means I don't have to add my own.

The cabling is kind of interesting. The AC input cord is only about 5" long, so the power supply normally just hangs from the outlet. The DC output cord is about 10'. Both cords will detach from the PS itself, and then the DC output cord connects to one of several tips that select voltage and tip style.

The advertised capability to power almost anything is quite attractive, but I wasn't able to find anything about alternative tips at Kensington's web site. It'd sure be nice to be able to power my PDA and my cell phone, but they'll take unusual tips. Their compatibility page had lots of laptop computer coverage, and zero coverage of anything else.

When you combine the tip with the connector on the end of the cable, the result is about a 3.25" rigid connector sticking out the back of the computer. That make me nervous; it seems like it's asking to get broken or, worse, break the laptop. It may interfere with one of the major things I wanted this unit for strapping the laptop to the center console in my motor home. A right angle connector would be better. The factory power supply has a right angle connector, and projects only 0.75" out the back.

this is a great all around unit

i had to upgrade after my stock headunit took a dump and couldn't be happier with my choice

the earlier complaints about this deck have now been solved and all you have to do is visit kenwoods website to get the latest updates installed (Real easy) and if your using a rear sub via the sub out connection you will have to contact kennwoods customer support # to get them to walk you thur the process.

btw calling and getting a kenwood tech is REAL easy and they are more then happy to help you. i called 3 times about different questions and got the answers every time, with little to no waiting on hold. (thank you kenwood)

the deck is fully upgradeable down the road so if you decide to add navi, satellite radio, bluetooth or hd radio ect. your covered no problem.

if your wanting to use your ipod or iphone with the new update and the use of KENWOODs KCA-IP301V cable you will be able to control your ipod thru the deck seamlessly

i am currently able to control my iphone 3g with no problems. (Video music podcasts .ect)

so if your looking for the basics with the option to upgrade you'd be goofy not to seriously consider the DDX-512

Purchased as a replacement for factory DD radio, great head unitIt can be upgraded to all the stuff you exactly want. It plays DVDs, no issues viewing, great sound quality with the Alpine components, Have the navigation love it to just wish you could here the radio but I guess if you need directions your focuse should be there not the music, Radio is as weak as the factory radio so no change there but good news you can always upgrade to sat. or HD radioso for the price its a great head unit with even greater potential with all the upgrades you could ever want.

Easy installtook about 15 minutes, the nav unit took longer due to running/ hiding the wires, but all turned out seemless.

Want Kenwood DDX512 6.1-Inch-Wide In-Dash Monitor with USB/iPod Direct Control/DVD Receiver Discount?

This is a good item for the price. it plays DVD's, CD's, musis and TV shows that are on your iPod. Once you get it hooked up it works great. My reason for only giving it 3 stars is the lack of information available regarding extra equipment to make it work properly. This information is not available on Kenwoods web site or Amazons product description or any other web sit I searched.

1. You will most likely need an antana adaptor. Depenting on what type of vehicle you have this could be as much as $50.00. Luckily for my GMC Sierra it was only $10.00.

2. In order to hook up your iPod you need another adaptor cable which was about $40.00. Additionally, this will not work on all iPods. I have an iPod touch which works great with this stereo. I also have an origional iPod classic that does not work even with the upgrades available on apple's web site. I took my older iPod to a local stereo store to seek help and they told me that it is simply "too old to work with this stereo". The product description for this stereo says it works with all iPods version 1.2 or newer and I have found this to be false.

3. Mounting HardwareUnless you are replacing an existing aftermarket double din deck you will also need a dash kit. The installation hardware that comes with the unit is useless for a GMC sierra. Add another $20.00.

4. This deck does not come with a remote control. This is not deceptive as the product description does not state that there is a remote included. However some movies will not play without the comand from a remote. Another $30.00.

5. If you want to maintain your door chimes and factory computer functions of your particular vehicle, you need an additional unit that plugs inline with your factory wiring harness before pluging into the deck. For a GMC Sierra this was another $189.00. You don't NEED this to make the deck work but again, not mentioned in the product description, anywhere.

Enough bashing on this unit as it does have a couple of unexpected useful features.

1. It clearly states in the instruction manual that you cannot play video from your iPod on this unit. That is not true. I watch movies, TV shows and any other type of video from my iPod touch without any problem.

2. The installation manual wants you to install this unit so that it won't play video while you are driving. This can be easily over riden by grounding the wire on that back of the deck that they want you to connect to your park brake.

Hope this is helpful because none of this information was available to me before I purchased this unit. But now that I have it hooked up, and over $250.00 additional dollars later I love this unit!!!

I just purchased this unit upgrading from my old kenwood head unit. I found out the hard way that there is some serious issues with this unit.

1. The unit is "Satellite XM/Sirius" Ready, but Kenwood has not released the cables needed to connected the unit to the Sirius unit. So basically if you buy this unit to listen to Satellite radio, you are out of luck until Kenwood releases the proper cable. I called Kenwood Usa support about this and they can't give a reason why the cables are not available, but said they should be available by April 2008. In the meantime I can't listen to my Sirius.

2. The unit claims to be able to play MP3, JPEG photos, and MPEG videos from a USB device (ext USB hard drive or thumb drive). I bought a external USB hard drive and it was able to play MP3s from it but no JPEG and no videos. I emailed Kenwood USA about this and they responded with this:

"The DNX-5120 and DDX-512 are currently unable to play MPEGs or JPEGs via USB. We are aware of this issue and currently working on a fix to solve the problem. When the fix is available, we will contact and email you the update."

So now I can't play my Satellite radio or play JPEG and Mpeg videos from my USB device! But there is more:

This is supposed to also have bluetooth with the optional BT-200 bluetooth unit. I called Kenwood and the Bluetooth add on will not be available until May 2008 according to Kenwood USA.

So I can't use my Bluetooth, Satellite Radio, or JPEG, MPEG files!

So basically if you are going to buy this unit, wait until May when they are supposedly going to have everything available. I am not a happy customer!

Universal Power Group, Inc 84028 Energizer 12 Volt 4 Amp Battery Charger and Maintainer

Universal Power Group, Inc 84028 Energizer 12 Volt 4 Amp Battery Charger and Maintaineri have two 12 volt automobile batteries which are used in summer for my boat. i hooked up the said charger to them. i check the voltages on the batteries at least once a week. float voltages are approx. 13.4. i would like to see 13.8 volts, but this is acceptable. they also charge up the batteries fine after using them for a while. So far so good.

I purchased this product and when it came I was excited but what I found out was that it did not perform at all like it was described. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. The seller was just OK because they did get it to me within a reasonable amount of time but the people that answered the phone didn't have a clue as to the product's capabilities.

Active 10 TREK

Active 10 TREKI debated before purchasing the Satmap for myself and my Dad, did I really need yet another device? We're both keen hikers and wanted something to help us explore some less well known trails in the Bay Area. Just a few days in, we're both enamored with the ease of use and the quality of the product. The mapping from Nathional Geographic is detailed and the size of the screen is a bonus when navigating. My Dad isn't that techie and he loves it. Definitely worth the investment if you are outdoorsy.

This GPS Unit is £400 in Britain that's $628 in America, but even at this cheap price it's still way over priced,it's as if it's a prototype so could be good someday, but not now,for instance it's claimed to have an IP rating of 65,but using this thing in even slight rain isn't advised as water gets behind the back cover and behind the screen, also they quote up to 120 hours battery life, when you're lucky to get 12 hours out of it and it's very tedious to use without a computer, speaking of computers it only works properly on a PC and the online mapping service together with maps cost a fortune, personally I wish I bought a cheap GPS or a car type SATNAV than this.

Buy Active 10 TREK Now

I just purchased the Active 10 GPS and like it but the maps are not what I expected, I expected the maps being National Geographic maps to be much crisper, the maps are blurry when I zoom in. The unit it self I really like and the size of the display is a huge plus for me. I don't need my glasses to read the information on the display.

Read Best Reviews of Active 10 TREK Here

This GPS looks like a great product. It has exactly the features and map detail I desire for day hiking. Unfortunately, SATMAP has only 12 National Geographic State Map cards currently available for the device (and none of them are where I live).

In addition, the National Geographic State Map cards cost $99.99 per state. If you are like me, and hike in five separate states (Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina) then the cost of the map cards becomes excessive.

I own National Geographic's TOPO software for my home PC, and use it to produce my own detailed trail maps. National Geographic bundled multiple states in their TOPO software (Georgia, Alabama, and Florida are together); I am waiting to see if they will do the same with their SATMAP map cards.

Solio Mono Emergency Hybrid Solar Charger

Solio Mono Emergency Hybrid Solar Chargerbefore you buy this product check on the charging time. In order to actually use it to solar charge you need to leave it in the direct sunlight for about 5 days!!! If you plug it in to a wall socket or computer to charge it takes about 4-5 hours. If you are planing to use it as a practical extra battery or solar charger don't waste your money. I live in california with direct sun all the time it charges terrible!!!!

I received my Solio Mono as a promotion from my local public radio station. My box came with: a hemp bag, instructions, carabiner, AC cable plus 4 changeable prongs, USB cable (for charging the Solio), charging cable that connects to the charge tips, and 4 tips: female USB, mini-USB, micro-USB, and a Sanyo 6 tip. There are additional tips available from Solio's website if none of these will work for you.

The micro-USB tip attaches directly to my phone, and I use the USB female tip to charge my iPod Touch via its USB cable. You can use it to charge anything that has a USB charging cable, so that's really handy. My AC adapter came with interchangeable prongs for the USA, Australia/NZ, UK/Europe, and those round prongs possibly used in Asia, which is really neat. I have a trip to NZ planned, and I'll take the Solio instead of my devices' respective charging paraphernalia. While this means I can charge only one device at a time, I can charge one device overnight while the device is plugged in (and charging itself too), then charge the other device during the day while it and the Solio are stowed in my backpack!

Note: you can't charge a laptop or any heavy power usage items with the Solio. It's designed for "personal electronics" like cellphones and MP3 players. It will work with digital cameras that can charge via USB, they say on their website.

The thing that loses Solio points is solar charging. I've owned it for 4 days and it charges very slowly using just the sun. I've had it outdoors on my sunny porch for a couple of days and it's only gotten one "tick" of charge. Now, I live in the Northeast US, and that spot gets direct sunlight only in the afternoon. Both days have been partially cloudy, but this seems sad. At this point I'm ready to ask for some sort of protective cover for the solar cell and just use it as a charger/spare battery! Solio claims it takes 20 hours to get a full charge, but unless you're under ideal conditions it's going to take much longer. So can't recommend that anyone count on it for seriously charging a device using only the sun. If that's your need, you should go for Solio Universal Hybrid Solar Charger, which is heavier but has 3 collectors instead of just 1.

So I like it as a travel charger and emergency battery. I don't think you can expect to reduce your energy use and count on getting any significant charging from the sun, unless you live in a sunnier clime and can keep it in stronger sunlight more of the day. You might get enough charge for an emergency call, or to keep a device topped off, so it's better than not having a solar collector, I guess. But if you have multiple devices that you travel with, and you'd like to have some spare charge and not carry all those different charge plugs, then this might be useful for you.

Buy Solio Mono Emergency Hybrid Solar Charger Now

AWFUL. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND ESPECIALLY DO NOT USE AS EMERGENCY BACKUP. IT WILL NOT SUPPLY ENOUGH POWER TO CHARGE ANYTHING.

Read Best Reviews of Solio Mono Emergency Hybrid Solar Charger Here

To be honest, this thing sucked. I bought it to use on a 16-day trip to Europe, to charge my iPod Touch (I used it to call home with wifi where I could find it). It didn't work at all. Luckily, I was on a music tour and a few of the 46 band members had computers I could plug into. The charger could charge via USB, but it never charged in the sun, and it would stop charging a device after a few seconds; you had to keep pressing the start button.

I assume it was defective; after I returned I returned it, and traded it in for the three-panel version (I had the choice of another mini or trading up, so I decided to see if the bigger one worked. It does, and I'm pleased with it. As for this mini, it either needs more work or needs to be abandoned.

Want Solio Mono Emergency Hybrid Solar Charger Discount?

It does tale kinda long to charge it, but I got it to charge in my car easy, in the winter even. Your windows need to be clean (it won't charge under half of my back window because of this), and your car needs to be in the direct sun, but even driving, in my boyfriend's hatchback, we clip it to the cracked window & it charges fine.

It's great for trips, where I know I'm going to burn out my battery on my smart phone, as an emergency back up.

EC TECHNOLOGY High Capacity 2600 mAh New design Walkpower Backup External Battery Pack and Charger

EC TECHNOLOGY High Capacity 2600 mAh New design Walkpower Backup External Battery Pack and Charger with highlight flashlight(Black color)for iPhone 4/4S/3GS , iPad , iPad 2 , The new iPad , ipod touch/classic/nano , Motorola: Atrix11 , Verizon Droid RAZR , Droid X2 , Droid Bionic ; Samsung: Galaxy S II S2 i9100, Galaxy S III S3, T-mobile T989 , AT&T i777 , Skyrocket SGH-I727 ; HTC One X ; HTC: Sensation , Sensation XE EVO 3D , ThunderBolt ; Blackberry Bold 9900 , Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S , Nokia N9Real neat item. But it is cheap -I hope it lasts. We've been using them for 2 weeks so far with no problems.

Instructions are terrible, but if you have a little tech. common sense, you don't need them.

I bought a Blue one for me and a Plum one for me wife. They are designed differently! My Blue model has a Y-cable dongle for all adaptors, and it also charges. The Plum (purple) model has a flush USB connection, a single cable for adaptors and charging (flip it around and charge with the mini-usb), and had two more adaptor plugs. The Blue one I received seems a little cheaper and does not look the same as pictured. I think I got an older revision -but it works OK.

The light works well on both and they look the same. The blue has a flush lens, and the plum lens is curved in with a bump in the center. Almost as good as my LED maglite, and if this truely is 2600mAh, then it should last just as long.

I'd buy this again.. Good luck, because who knows what type you will get!

** Since the photos for this item have been updated, you can see what I mean. The WHITE end with a hole -this is the for Y-cable dongle and there is a little switch for the flashlight. The BLACK end has the nice, flush USB socket and there is a tiny button for the flashlight. Both work, but I prefer the flush USB socket because I'd rather not carry around another Y-cable.

Whistler XTR-445 Laser/Radar Detector Battery Operated with Built-In Battery Charger with OLED Red

Whistler XTR-445 Laser/Radar Detector Battery Operated with Built-In Battery Charger with OLED Red Text Display
  • Battery-powered radar/laser detector provides up to 15 hours operation on a single charge (power cord and rechargeable batteries provided).
  • Provides 360-degree alerts for selectable radar and laser signals, POP mode alerts, and Safety Warning System alerts.
  • New and improved red OLED text display provides distinct visual confirmation of signals detected, signal strength, and indicates engaged modes of operation.
  • VG-2 cloaking technology makes you invisible to radar detector detectors; 3 City Modes and Highway Mode for reducing false alerts; dim/dark mode
  • One-year warranty

Who's the joker who gave this a 1 star review? My experience with this item is a 5 star one. Here are my thoughts.

Pros:

Scans for so many types of detection K, X, Ka, VG2, Laser... I've seen them all go off in just a few days. I had no idea there were so many cops around!

alerts you in order so the most advanced speed detection system is prioritized over the lower ones.

Detects signals from cops I can't even see and I'm on a motorcycle, so I'm taller than cars and can look in all directions. So, basically it's picking up signals from a few blocks away.

gives you signal strength of radar etc from 1 to 9 so you know if they're right up your ass or a few blocks away AMAZING!

legal :)

fits to my screen easily with the enclosed suction attachment. Was a bit nervous about it falling off but I've been over some major bumps and so far all good.

-contrary to the 1-star fool the batteries that come with it last a good amount of time, as do my other rechargeable batteries that I use with it. Don't know what he's on about.

display is bright and easy to see

flashes an 'all-clear' when the signal goes away.

Cons:

errrmmm... racking my brain to think of one... my only addition would be a headphone socket so I didn't have to rely on glancing at the display (bit loud on a motorcycle to always hear the voice forget it on freeway).

Case-study

I was a little dubious before I bought this that it would work, but it really does. I tested this on day one by flying past a stationary cop in traffic. Sure enough he starts to follow me. I cruise at the speed limit and within 10 seconds I am alerted the exact moment he switches on his radar gun to track my speed. I ride on. Since I did nothing but obey the the law and speed limits, after a mile or so he gets bored and peels off. System gives the 'all-clear', and away we go. I couldn't ask for more for what I feel is a very reasonable price a just under at hundred bucks. Get one! :)

Like the different filters to tune out traffic sensing radar. Seems pretty sensitive to real radar from cop cars. The vg2 went off a few times already. You have to keep in mind that when vg2 is detected the local oscillator In the detector shuts down for 30 seconds to avoid detection by the cops. So even though it shuts down of corse u know there are cops around. It's a keeper.

I have owned two other Whistler radar detectors and the XTR-445 is much more sensitive than the others and the ability to use it without the power cord is the main reason that I bought this model.

Want Whistler XTR-445 Laser/Radar Detector Battery Operated with Built-In Battery Charger with OLED Red Discount?

Seemed to work great, would detect radar with more than enough time to slow down, about the same range as my old Passport. Didn't seem to have any more false alarms than my Passport, in fact there were a couple spots on my daily commute where the Passport would false, but the Whistler would remain silent. This was using the Highway mode on both. They don't use Laser around here luckily, so I can't comment on that.

Batteries seemed to be good for about 5 hours before they would read 25% left. That was good enough to last the week for my dailt commute to work, but if it sat unused for 2 days after re-charging, it would drop to 75% without ever being turned on, dropping the life to about 3 hours. Not great for any trips, don't forget the cord, or some spare batteries. I had planned to replace the cheap chinese batteries with better quality rechargeables to see if that would extend battery life.

Got in the car yesterday and turned it on, it goes through the entire test sequence, and then says "NO BATT" and shuts itself off. How can it turn on if there are no batteries? I tried charging it overnight, even tried a different set of batteries. Same results.

JR is paying return shipping to exchange it, so I will try another. Hopefully it has a longer life span. I can highly recommend JR music world, great service.

UPDATE 9/11/2012: I received the replacement from J&R a couple of days ago. The batteries that came with this one are garbage, and will only run the unit for about an hour before the charge runs out. I have tried regular alkalines (DO NOT charge these!) and it shows 50% battery life after 8 hours. I have some Eneloops on order to fix the low battery life. Just a warning that if you do buy this unit, plan on replacing the batteries right out of the box.

I was very satisfied with the way it responds so quickly to any detection. The only negative thing I have to say about it is, the battery life does not last long at all. I can get about an hour to maybe an hour and fifteen minutes use out of it before the low battery beep goes off. Other than that, I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a good, yet affordable radar detector.

Original OEM Car Charger for your Blackberry Curve 8530

Original OEM Car Charger for your Blackberry Curve 8530I ordered 3, only 1 worked, 1 arrived DOA and 1 died after a few days. Will not buy again. When it did work, it worked good.

Not much to say. Just open the package and plug it in. Unlike 3rd party chargers, this one actually charges your battery properly (uses intervals), increasing the life of your phone's battery.

250w Grid Tie Power Inverter Converter Solar 10.8v-30v DC 110v AC

250w Grid Tie Power Inverter Converter Solar 10.8v-30v DC 110v ACAfter testing this device for two weeks, here's my take... I have it connected to my 12 volt / 305 watt solar array. It really cranks out the power! It's silent until the fans starts when it reaches 50 watts or so. I have it plugged into a Kill-A-Watt meter so I can see exactly how many watts and amps are being generated at all times. My electric meter goes to zero even with the refrigerator, desktop computer, HDTV and other small appliances running. This means that my solar panels are generating enough power to run everything in the house without using City Power. I have a Blue Line digital meter connected to my electric meter and it lets me know how much City Power is being used. The electric meter will zero out, but not spin backwards. This is fine with me since I can use the power that my solar panels are producing rather than constantly charging batteries that are never used since there has not been a power failure at my house since 2006. Back up power is fine, but you really want to use the power that your solar panels are generating NOW. Note: All of my solar panels combined are 305 watts and with full sunshine, the device runs until the electric meter goes to zero state and stays there until clouds pass by. It has never shown any sign of having a problem with more than 250 watts being connected to it. The fan cycles on and off but it's not overheating since the box itself is only warm.

Hey had my doubts, but this actually works... hook your solar panels to it, plug it into the electric socket, and your going..., i watched the electric meter actually stop for 2 hours.... in the heat of summer! Been using it every day now for 3 mths now. Only have 55 watts worth of solar panels...got to remember your refrigerator, and freezer only run intermittently,, so it takes fewer watts than you think to make a difference....

am hoping I can hook a small wind generator to it, though it says for solar power. so long as i dont go over 250 watts or 30volts, thinking it might work... and can get another one of these and plug in another outlet... might go for a 500 watt grid tie inverter one day, thought I would start small...!

This unit works as advertised but beware that in many areas you must have a co-generation permit to install this. The cost of the permit will be way more than you would ever save with it. Smart Meters easily detect that you've plugged this in and WILL report this to your power company. Without the Smart Meter it's hard for the power company to detect.

If you're in an area where you don't need a permit, then this could be for you. I tested one out and don't see any problems with it.

Just as described. Works great. I was skeptical about this when I first saw it, but doubts disappeared after use and testing. Using this to connect a 100 watt solar panel, and a 12 volt battery bank to the grid. Killawatt meter shows it's making almost 100 watts on a clear day connected to the PV panel. Slows down the meter on the house. Waiting for next power bill to see energy savings. The cheapest and easiest way to connect your solar panels to the grid.

Want 250w Grid Tie Power Inverter Converter Solar 10.8v-30v DC 110v AC Discount?

After reading up and watching videos on U-Tube, I decided to buy this product along with a kill-a-watt meter. Everything was just as is. Just plug in and start saving. I have 3 45 watt solar panels I bought from Harbor Freight, I have 4 marine deep cycle batteries hooked up. When running 12 volts to the grid tie inverter the output is only around 120 to 125 watts that you are putting back. When I wired the batteries in series and hooked up 24 volts to the grid tie inverter I was putting back 230 to 240 watts. Just make sure your wiring is correct. Don't want to blow the inverter up. Only wished I bought the 500 or 1000 watt instead because I intend on expanding and adding wind turbines to my setup. Recomend you go to Missouriwindandsolar.com They have great products at a reasonable price. That is where I intend to purchace my wind turbine from. Hopes this review helps. Tony from Indy.

Wagan 2107-6 Smart AC 80 USB Inverter

Wagan 2107-6 Smart AC 80 USB InverterI had hoped that since this was an inverter, the USB would be isolated from the 12V input. I'm not certain if it is or not, because I haven't taken it apart to look yet, but I still get bad ground loop noise when using this to power my media player and connect it into the vehicles sound system.

I used this to power a 25-watt set of little computer speakers for about 5 hours, since my radio was dead. About a year later, I tried to plug my iphone in to charge, and about 20 minutes later the phone said it wasn't charging. The little green LED on the inverter was no longer on. Double-checked it in another vehicle; still dead.

This thing also ran really, really hot. Maybe I got a bad one?

Comes with bonus car adapter. Very handy. A bit more lightweight than the original. But this should not suffer much wear and tear.

This item was stolen from me along with several other items I had in my purse. But the item was excellent and it did it job performance on keeping my camera charged a long time.

I guess with such a low price you can't expect much. This charger, although it says it's for the DMC-ZS5, has only two prongs instead of three, and the battery falls out of it very easily. I didn't even attempt to charge battery because it appeared to be wrong and I didn't want to damage it. The seller was great though and refunded my money. I wouldn't recommend this item. It would be better to just buy the "real" one from Panasonic.

Battery Tender 022-0158-1 Waterproof 24 Volt Power Tender Plus Battery Charger

Battery Tender 022-0158-1 Waterproof 24 Volt Power Tender Plus Battery ChargerWe use this for our power lift at work. The previous on board charger would over charge and cook the batteries if we weren't careful. This unit charges perfectly and can be left plugged in for a maintained charge. I own several Battery Tender brand chargers and all are high quality and problem free. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra bucks for one.

I replaced the OEM charger that came with my scooter with the Battery Tender 022-0158-1 Power Tender Plus 24V Battery Charger. I took the old round connector off of the dead OEM charger and connected it to this charger. I expect the expensive battery pack to last longer plus this charger is water proof.

Samsung SPH-M320 Retractable Cell Phone Car Charger

Samsung SPH-M320 Retractable Cell Phone Car ChargerThis is one of those you get what you pay for things. This did not last more than a month before it just died. I would not say it got a whole lot of use in that month either. I should have contacted the company, but did not bother because I did not pay much for it at all. I can't say whether or not they would have done anything, but I would not purchase this product again. My husband only used it a few times to charge his phone on his way to and from work which is only about 10 miles away. It did put on a surprisingly high amount of charge in that little time and the retractable feature was nice, but it just did not last long enough for me to give it more than one star.

Item ordered was received in a timely manner. Ordered for myself, gave to son for Christmas. With all the "stuff" he already plugs in, this is a wonderful way to get a little neatness. Unit fits snugly into phone and is easier to store when not in use as the cord is completely retractable. In a small pickup, it doesn't take long to have "spaghetti strings" for accessories, and this certainly is a convenient addition.

Buy Samsung SPH-M320 Retractable Cell Phone Car Charger Now

This was such a bargain. I don't use a car charger too often, but occasionally I need one. I love the retractable cord feature. Works just fine.

Xantrex Technologies 813-0078 XPower Mobile Plug 75-Watt Compact Inverter

Xantrex Technologies 813-0078 XPower Mobile Plug 75-Watt Compact InverterThings to think about before you buy:

Make sure your cigarette lighter socket has enough clearance around it to accomodate this large of an adapter. You may need one with a cord with the plug on the end to fit in your vehicle.

Make sure your intended use won't overload this adapter. It's rated up to 75 watts continuous duty.

Otherwise,it's a well made unit by a name brand manufacturer and they warranty it as such.Besides,[Amazon.com] stands behind your purchase.

Although I purchased this inverter some time ago, I am still using it quite a bit. This is great for any in car need for an electrical outlet. We use it to charge the kids' DS's and to plug in dvd players. I recommend this

I have had one of these for quite some time and I use it to charge my cell phone. It works great. Every now and then I have to pull it out and plug it back in to get it to work... but it works every time. It makes no noise (unlike the model with higher voltage) because it doesn't have a loud fan. It's a great option for accessories that don't need a ton of power.
