SimplySleeper Premium Air Mattress with Built-In Pump & Rechargeable Battery

SimplySleeper Premium Air Mattress with Built-In Pump & Rechargeable BatteryThough this is a wonderful mattress made from durable, non-stretch material, the fact that it is only possible to fill it from a fully charged Ni-Cad battery is a serious design flaw which needs to be addressed, in my opinion. I've had the mattress for about a year and inflate it for frequent guests and to put in our tent for camping. I love it in theory. The mattress itself is rugged and comfortable and in the beginning inflated quickly. Unfortunately, the fact that a Ni-Cad battery has "memory," coupled with the fact that one cannot simply plug this unit in if the battery is low, means that the battery will not maintain a full charge anymore. It would be helped by two things: 1) The battery inside the blower could be upgraded to a lithium cell, which is not adversely affected by partial charges. 2) The electric blower motor could be modified to allow the transformer to plug in when filling (in the event of a dead battery). It is easy to let the air out of a mattress, but I have been frustrated on more than one occasion when the battery had been in the bag too long and wouldn't fill the mattress. Then we had to either plug in the blower until it charged (hours) or get light headed blowing the mattress up manually. If this gets fixed, I'll buy the nest iteration or the upgraded blower.

I bought this air bed because I was going to a weekend trip to my grandparent's campgrounds. The air bed came quickly and I didn't open it until I got to the campgrounds. Boy, that was a mistake. The batteries had to be charged for at least an hour before I could get enough juice to pump up the air bed. That was my only complaint, but that was kind of my fault for not trying it out before I go somewhere that doesn't have easy to access electrical outlets. I should've brought a car AC adapter. But overall great air bed for camping or sleepovers.

PROS:

very comfortable (forgot it's an air bed)

No sagging after a night of sleep

Easy to use pump (it deflate or inflates)

Bed has integrated travel bag with zippers that make folding and unfolding super easy (best feature!)

Lightweight and stylish

Cons:

Battery was not charged initially

You can not plug pump and inflate/deflate at the same time, must remove pump to charge up battery

UPDATE: I left it a 4 star earlier, but I am giving it a 5 star now. I lent it to a friend for camping and she absolutely loved it and wanted to buy one. I let her keep mine as a gift and just ordered another for myself. :)

Received this item the other day, and based on previous reviews immediately plugged the charger in overnight. The next day checked both inflation and deflation and everything worked fine. It was very quick and simple. Then I refilled the mattress and left it up a couple of days and it lost no air at all and indeed is very comfortable. I really like how it folds up into the attached bag very easily. Will now take it camping for a few days and am looking forward to the comfort I experienced here at home. Any problems and I will add them to this review, but I really feel that I have purchased an excellent product, well worth the extra money for both the durability, comfort, and ease of use.

I ordered 2 of the twin size and 2 of the queen size for family camp outs. I have purchased others, even expensive ones and have been disappointed. These air beds are simply wonderful.... you just charge the pump, when ready, insert pump with end marked inflate and in seconds your bed is ready....when ready to deflate, just reverse process... bed deflates in seconds. flat enough to put right back into the carrying case it came in.

Wonderful firm bed ready in seconds... my grandsons use theirs also for Friday movie night sleepover in the living room and they hold up beautifully!

I would make a commercial for this product I am so pleased with it!

Want SimplySleeper Premium Air Mattress with Built-In Pump & Rechargeable Battery Discount?

We ordered this bed for my sister's b-day at first. But ended up opened it before giving to her, cause my kids were curious how the built in pump works. My whole family of 5 were so amazed how quickly and convenient it is to inflate and how the pump was designed! My 3 kids slept on it for the whole weekend, and looking forward to use it again this weekend. They're loving it! :) Is nice to have around for trips or sleepover. Best of all, is comfy & not like other inflatables, super hard to fold it back and never can fit back in the box after use. This one comes with a attached zipper bag (u can't lose it) and the pump deflates itselfs, just fold it in and store back in the perfect fit bag easily. I will have to order another one for sister, we are keeping this one after all. :)

The con is you can't charge and inflate same time but speedy inflation (inflate the bed within 1-2 mins) with 1 hour charge time.

Magnum Energy MS4448PAE 48V Pure Sine Wave Inverter 4400 Watts

Magnum Energy MS4448PAE 48V Pure Sine Wave Inverter 4400 WattsI bought one of these a couple years ago, and it's been working perfectly ever since!!! last I knew Expressbatteries.com has them for $1,800.00 bucks with a coupon code you type in at checkout. "LESS20PERCENT" or something similar to that. This unit puts out 120/240 so it works great for backup power in a house and 4800W is plenty of capacity for most homes.

Hitachi WR18DL 18-volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Impact Wrench

Hitachi WR18DL 18-volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Impact WrenchI install garage doors, and my impact wrench is my number one weapon. I have owned a 14.4 Milwaukee, 14.4 DeWalt, 18v DeWalt, and now this one. I had to send the Milwaukee back numerous times because of it's poor build quality. I have had motors die on the DeWalt due to its poor cooling design. There are small plastic fins in the motor which move air and keep the motor cool, and they have broken of on every DeWalt impact I have owned. I have been using the Hitachi for more than 4 months without a problem. I look actually look forward to using it. The battery stays secured to the drill, even after a four five foot fall. I laughed at the little light it comes with at first, but it has come in handy in dark garages. The torque is strong enough to pull the lug nuts of a wheel hub, and the battery life is stellar. One battery will get me through multiple double sized garage door installs. The DeWalt would kill at least too full batteries in only one install. It's safe to say that one Hitachi lithium-ion batter = 3+ DeWalt NiCads.

Another reviewer has mentioned a bad smell from the motor. All my impacts, drills, saws, and other power tools have gave off burning odor during the break-in of the tool. This is normal.

One other component of the impact which I enjoy is the pin. Unlike the DeWalt, the pin is designed to keep the socket secure when the pin of the impact is in line with the hole of the socket. The socket WILL come off of the impact with a little force unlike the DeWalt. With the DeWalt, the pin had to be compressed with a nail or screw in order to remove the socket.

To sum this review up... Buy the Hitachi.

Whoa....size does matter! Small, compact, lightweight size in this instance. If you want a cordless impact wrench...you've gotta try this baby! I can hardly believe the power it has for such a small tool! I work at a wrecking yard driving fork lift, and pull and park an average of 30-40 vehicles a day. I have had my Hitachi impact for almost a year now and I use it 5 days a week to remove wheels from many of these cars and trucks among other tasks. Then I bring it home on weekends in case I have any tasks at home that I might want use it for....it's a tool I just don't like to be without in case I have a wrenching job! I am a mechanical guy and work on cars, appliances, and about anything else that I can fix myself.

I have owned several impact wrenches. I've had a few cheap ones that I won't bother to talk about. Previous to my Hitachi, I had a Goodyear Racing impact wrench. I liked it and it did a good job, but it was heavy, clumsy, and pretty much designed just for using on lug nuts. The batteries also didn't last a long time on a charge and deteriorated a little each time they were recharged requiring replacement after about 6 months. Finally, my charger went belly up as it fried my last battery, so, I went shopping for a new impact wrench as I really need to have a cordless impact on my job.

First I bought a Makita impact wrench thinking that would be the answer. It was lithium-ion, so that solved the battery problem to a great degree, but what a monster. Again, big and heavy and clumsy, and I don't think it was as powerful as my Goodyear Racing impact gun....I quickly returned this puppy.

Then I tried the Hitachi WR18DL....and let me tell you.....this baby smokes! Very light and small and easy to handle but has lots of power and 2 speed settings and was about the same price as the Makita. It is super fast for removing or installing bolts and nuts of all kinds and sizes. It won't do like 1 ton trucks and once in a while at work I will get a lug nut that is so tight that it won't break it loose and I have to break the nut with a fourway by hand. That said, she goes thru 95% of the lug nuts and anything else I have tried without breakin' a sweat.

This little Hitachi impact makes every job that involves wrenching fast and easy and a pleasure to do. As another reviewer said, and I concur, "I actually look forward to using this tool". I have two 3.0 amp hour batteries that I use and they do a great job and last a long time on a charge.

In conclusion....yeah....you can buy a more powerful impact (just double the price and weight), but when you consider size....weight....power and price combined....I don't think you can beat this little impact wrench with anything else on the market! Just a note, if you're shopping for an impact wrench, make sure its an impact wrench your looking at and not an impact driver.....totally different tools.

I am a satisified customer of this impact from Hitachi and was happy to do a review of this tool.

I am a Hitachi fan converted over from Makita. I use this Hitachi WR18DL 18-volt Cordless Impact Wrench to change flat tires on my 2 construction trailers. This Hitachi takes the drudgery out of changing flat tires.

Now I am also using it instead of my air impact wrench around my shop, etc. etc. NO AIR HOSES NEEDED.

Read Best Reviews of Hitachi WR18DL 18-volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Impact Wrench Here

Got the WR18DL today and it promptly took a lug nut that was torqued to 80ft/lb off my Maxima in about 5 seconds. I plan on keeping this lightweight bulldog in my trunk at all times for just that purpose.

One thing about Hitachi Li-Ion tools that gets overlooked is their battery technology. All Li-Ion batteries are not alike! Hitachi uses the same nano-phosphate formula that DeWalt uses. This technology allows the cycle-life of these batteries to be tripled over the standard manganese (Milwaukee and pretty much everyone else uses this) to 1000-1500 cycles. Manganese Li-Ion only lasts 300-500 cycles same as NiCd and NiMH. You will need new batteries a lot less often with Hitachi and DeWalt as a result.

I really wish that Ryobi would adapt their One+ impact driver to a wrench because I have their 18V Li-Ion battery, but they didn't yet. Since Ryobi uses manganese Li-Ion, this is no great hardship. Hitachi sells many bare tools that can use these batteries, so while it's not as versatile as the One+ system, it's the next best thing with better batteries!

If you're taking big rig tires off, go for the Snap-On CT4850, but anything shy of that can be done at half the price and half the weight by the WR18DL (again) with better batteries!

Lovin' it.

Don't let the size of this tool trick you. This fanstastic little powerhouse removes the wheel lugs on my trailer and SUVs rapidly. The specs say it's only 1950in-pounds, or 162ft-pounds. It seems to have this plus some. For seriously stubborn tasks, a large and heavy electric may be necessary or a pneumatic impact for the ultimate torque, but for 98% of what I do messing with my Jeeps and lawn tractor blade changing etc, this is a super convenient, small, lightweight powerhouse... (and I don't have to move my compressor, or run super long air lines to my work.)

I shopped for a long time before buying this. There are heavier impacts... Ingersol Rand makes a great cordless with Lithium batteries at 350 ft-pounds. It's $400 w/ two batteries. The Dewalt cordless impact has 300 ft-pounds at $299, but it continues to use the outdated Nicad batteries..in the heat where I live, these fail rapidly and you spend a fortune replacing them every year. I looked at more powerful plug-ins, all above the $150 range have great torque (like the Dewalt:340 ft-pounds at $179), but you'll have to run that power cord to your task. And, most of these tools are HEAVY.

My plan is to use this lightweight powerhouse for most of my chores, and when I need super torque, either hit the task with a 24 inch breaker bar, or breakdown and get a corded electric. If your wheel lugs are not seriously coroded and neglected, this tool seems to have the muscle to take them off. It's so small, it's almost fun to see this tool remove the lugs so easily!

GPS Portable Travel USB Plug-in Rapid 12 Volt Car Charger

GPS Portable Travel USB Plug-in Rapid 12 Volt Car ChargerAfter breaking the power cord for my Magellan GPS, I looked around for a replacement. Magellan was ready to sell me a new one for $25. Same price for a generic one from an electronics store. Then I found another one here at Amazon for $12. And, finally, I came across this one for less than a dollar. The price disparity was so great that I was inclined to be suspicious of its quality, but for less than a dollar I was willing to risk it. It works just fine. As noted by another reviewer, the cord is just a little on the short side, but I have found it long enough to reach over the steering wheel from the cigarette lighter to the lower left corner of the windshield in my 2003 Toyota Rav-4. I've only needed to use it a single time since the purchase but so far, so good.

Original car charger was destroyed. Tried numerous usb adapters and chargers, all would power the unit but would not charge the internal battery. This charger/adapter did the trick. Although it doesn't have the feel of quality as the original (cord isn't rubberized or as long as the original) it is definitely worth the price. A+

Buy GPS Portable Travel USB Plug-in Rapid 12 Volt Car Charger Now

This device works like it is designed to, however the cord is the coiled type, and seems a little short. If you are needing to span a fairly long distance from the GPS unit to the cigarette lighter plug, then you may consider a non-coiled design.

I have a Jeep Cherokee, and the GPS is mounted on the front windshield. Not a great distance to the lighter socket, but it is a bit of a stretch with this coiled cable.

Otherwise this one works well, with a good solid connection on both ends, and an indicator (red) LED light tells you the plug is operating.

We had left the original in a rental car and bought this as a replacement....it was actually a better cord than the original because the new cord coiled so there was not so much excess cord and it wasn't so stiff. Very happy, thanks.

iGo Charge Anywhere for iPod, iPhone, iPad, and other USB Devices

iGo Charge Anywhere for iPod, iPhone, iPad, and other USB DevicesI have been using the Igo charger for several weeks now, primarily to charge my phone when I am not near an electrical outlet. In general, I have found that it works reasonably well, but you can get higher capacity chargers that are more compact for a much better price.

Here are the pros and cons I observed during use:

PROS:

Attractive: The Igo charger has a diamond pattern on the top, making is snazzier than most chargers that I have seen.

Easy to use: To recharge the charger, just flip the built-in plug out and plug the charger into the wall. To charge a phone or other device, plug in a USB cable into the single Igo port, plug in the device, then press the button on the top.

Comes with a cable for Apple devices: I didn't test it with any Apple devices, but the charger worked fine with my Android phone.

LEDS indicate remaining charge: Four blue LEDs indicate the amount of battery capacity left in the charger during use.

CONS:

Larger than most chargers. The overall height and width are about the same as many other chargers, but the Igo is much thicker than most other chargers: about 2x the thickness at 24 mm (almost an inch).

Only 3400 mAh: This is one of the smaller capacity chargers you will find. I have seen them that go up to 12000 mAh. The larger the mAh rating, the more charges the charger will provide to your devices.

Relatively expensive: For the mAh rating, this device is pretty expensive, currently offered at about over 1/2 a c-note. The makes the price per mAh about 1.6 cents. Amazon sells other well-rated chargers for as little as .4 cents per mAh. Huge difference in price there.

Bottom Line:

During use, I was typically able to recharge my Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone about 1.2 times from one full charge of the Igo charger. Recharging the Igo charger took about 4.5 hours average. While the charger performed well enough, I find it to be overpriced and oversized for a somewhat anemic total capacity. I recommend that you keep shopping for a better value.

I live mostly off the grid, and sometimes completely away from electrical power, so I appreciate any tool that makes my life easier. The iGo is a fine device for my purposes.

The charger arrived with an approximately 35% charge right out of the box. You can roughly tell how much of a charge you have in the unit by how many blue indicator lights glow. I had three light up. I was able to start charging my own iPhone directly from that with the included USB iPhone cable.

I then unplugged my phone from the iGo. I put the iGo directly into a wall outlet (two prongs) to bring it to a full charge (the prongs fold out from the device's body on the 'belly' end). Red indicator lights show when the battery pack part is charging, and then go off automatically at a full charge. From that time, the iGO is ready to be a portable USB charging device.

From the charge my product arrived with, it took less than two hours to bring the unit to a full charge, with no load. You can also simultaneously charge a USB device AND the battery pack, however.

The iPhone/iPad/iPod port is on the underside, on the short end of the body. The cable to use with this port is included in the box.

There is also a mini-USB port on the right, long side of the body, for charging other items. I really appreciate this kind of thoughtfulness, even though the mini-USB cord is not included. It is very nice to have the option.

One thing I would have liked to see included would be a small cloth bag for the charger and cord, for traveling. I have so many little devices now that I am learning how to sew my own.

The iGo body itself is a little shorter than an iPhone, but twice as thick, and decently weighty for the size (it IS a battery, after all). The front has a black plastic diamond 'quilting' design, and there is a single on/off switch to depress.

HOW I USE IT:

I keep the charger pack in a Ziplock bag in my purse for iPhone charging when out and about. I tend to be a heavy user of my phone, taking and texting a ton of photos, using apps and the internet, and usually draining my phone over the course of a day. This device gives me a little leeway for extra use time when the evening rolls around, and a lot of peace of mind that I won't accidentally be dead in the water. I just plug in the iPhone at a 10% charge and continue what I was doing.

For day hiking and camping, having this thing around gives me a feeling of security too. Since it's not water-resistant, I would need to use a dry bag for this on paddling trips.

RECOMMENDATION:

For ipods, phones and pads, this is a plug and play tool. It's both a wall unit and a portable charger. It's solid and user friendly. You don't even need to read the little instructions sheet that comes with it.

For non-Apple USB devices, the iGo is incredibly versatile. I've charged up my emergency Trac phone, my Flip camera and my Kindle so far, using my own cables.

I'd recommend the iGo for heavy USB device users who are out and about a lot. If you spend most of your time at home or in an office, this really isn't necessary, except as an emergency charging device in your car, backpack or Go Bag. Just remember to make sure to top off the charger's unit if you hide it away for long periods of time, so you will have that emergency power when you need it.

Altogether, I highly recommend this useful, versatile device.

Buy iGo Charge Anywhere for iPod, iPhone, iPad, and other USB Devices Now

This is one of those items that's really straight forward. As the title says, it's a Power Brick. However it also includes power indicator to show you how much power is left in it.

With anything that charges, there are only so many times you can charge it until it begins to hold less and less charges. So unless you know you need a full Charge, it's best to let it go down as low as possible.

It comes with an adapter for Apple products.

HOWEVER you can purchase or use any USB adapters for droids, tablets, etc,

I use it to charge my Droid. The USB adapter I remove from the AC charger and plug it into the iGo. Charging my phone takes over three hours.

I've gotten almost three full charges for my Droid. Then it needs recharging. Recharging from one bar takes just about six hours. I've never been there to get an exact time. Plugs into any standard AC outlet. Two prong.

The bars change colors from when it needs a charge to when it's full and the bars go from one to full.

It's a good product. But know the limitations. When you have no power you will get a a good two charges (and some more) until the "brick" itself need charging. It goes not charge through sunlight or crank.

This is great for a hiking trip or to keep in a bag for an extra phone charge.

Read Best Reviews of iGo Charge Anywhere for iPod, iPhone, iPad, and other USB Devices Here

iGo is one of the trusted names in travel electronic accessories and when they launch something new, most people in the travel electronics industry pays attention. This product fulfills a number of "wants" and deals with a number of "dislikes" of those who are frequent travelers. However as everyone has different needs, it is ultimately quite subjective. I've listed a few pros and cons below to help you decide if this is what you need.

Pros:

+ Less to forget. It's your power brick and your spare battery

+ Folding plug. Nothing will get scratched in your bag by pokey plugs, and plugs won;t get bent out of shape during transit.

+ Holds enough juice for 2 full charges of an Iphone 4, 4s and Iphone 5.

+ 4 indicator LED lights show how much power is left in the battery, how much it is charging etc.

+ Button next to the LED indicator lights to turn the indicator lights on.

Cons:

Large for how much power it actually stores, but that may be due to the folding plug.

It's fat (wide) so it takes up the space next to it. Assuming you've plugged it in on the end of your power strip.

You need an easily accessible socket or you'll really be crawling behind and moving furniture to find somewhere to plug this in.

If it's behind furniture, it'll easily be forgotten = you've just lost both your spare battery and your power brick.

There are similarly sized backup batteries widely available that can store more power.

Overall whether this is the backup battery for you depends on whether you value:

a) less bits and bobs so fewer things get lost

b) How much power you need

c) How forgetful you are.

d) folding prongs.

e) if you have easy access to a socket when you need to charge this thing.

Over the past few months, I've used this traveling by air, by boat and by train internationally. It was always easy for my traveling companion(s) to find what they needed out of my electronics bag as there was less to dig through. I did have to use international plug adapters, but not voltage adapters as this is dual voltage. There were a few instances where we had to move some furniture to get to a wall socket but overall it served us well over the course of our 5-month trip.

Want iGo Charge Anywhere for iPod, iPhone, iPad, and other USB Devices Discount?

The function of this iGo charger is simple: At home, you plug it into a wall socket to charge it up, and then you take it in your bag wherever you go and it then charges your other electronic devices.

The red indicator lights show when the battery pack is charging, and then go off automatically at a full charge. Recharging the iGo charger takes about 4.5 hours average. It has LEDs to let you know how much battery life is left. You can also simultaneously charge a USB device AND the battery pack itself. You can use it with any gadget that has a USB cord to charge. It takes both USB or min-USB connectors. Also, it comes with a cable for Apple devices.

However, this iGo charger is very large. And, it only has 3400mAh, this is one of the smaller capacity chargers.

There are similar devices at lower price with bigger capacity. I recommend some shopping around before selecting this one.

Rapid Car Charger + Generation X Antenna Booster for SANYO 6750, PRO200, PRO700, Katana LX, S1 - Non-Retail Packaging[[ASIN: Rapid Car Charger + Generation X Cell Antenna]] The service was excellant. The charger works fine and I was kinda skeptical about the Generation X Cell Atenna, but I stuck it in my phone and it went from 2 bars to 3 bars. The shipping cost more that the product, but because the product was so cheap, it still came out cheaper than buying a similar product here.

Bought 2 of these instead of the overpriced chargers from Sprint. 1 is still working well but the other will not stay plugged into the phone. Charger appears cheap but works OK. The locking mechanism is not very good and I was unable to talk on the phone while trying to charge it. Overall not bad for a few bucks. Didn't even bother with the antenna booster.

I receive a different charger when it was deliver to my home. It is nothing like the picture. It's in a cheap plastic bag. It looks like it came from the Dollar store. Don't buy it. Amazon should take this product off line.

Jump-N-Carry JNCAIR 1700-Amp 12-Volt Jump Starter with Power Source and Air Compressor

Jump-N-Carry JNCAIR 1700-Amp 12-Volt Jump Starter with Power Source and Air CompressorI could not stand the rinky dink 12v cigarette plug low volume compressors to pump up tires. Plus I go in areas where there is no AAA help or cell phone connect, so if you get a flat or need a jump you maybe on your own. This Jump and Carry Start/compressor power source is of battleship construction. Built to last. This is what the professionals use .

I pumped up 8 ATV tires that need a few pounds more each. Then pumped up 4 big van tires. One needed 18 lbs more, the other three 5 pounds more each to 38lbs. Then 4 truck tires 5 more pounds each to 40 lbs. This means to me that this compressor will easily pump up a flat after putting in temporary green slime or a low spare tire. Could of even pumped up my 4 travel trailer tires also. All this on 1 charge. The compressor kept on putting out fast large volume air. It got a little warm but not hot. Shut off compressor each time a tire was filled and checked the built in gauge to a good tire pressure separate gauge. Accurate.

I put it on recharge plugged into the wall with an extension cord and it was still in the good green after all this tire filling.

This compressor pumped up the tires very quickly. Much much faster than those low volume 12V cigarette plug compressors. Shut off compressor and looked at the gauge. It was accurate compared to a good tire gauge.

I have not had to jump start a car yet. Will add to post when I go. The alligator clamps are solid heavy duty and a good length of heavy duty jump cable supplied. This is a first rate unit, battleship construction and built to last. 5 stars

I keep the unit topped off charged once a month just to make sure its topped off and has a full charge.I always keep the unit in the truck when I go on long distance travel. If I break down at least I can pump up a tire or jump my battery by myself.

Oct30. My daughter's boyfriend bought over an ATV. Jump started it instantly with the Solar Jump N Carry. Jump N Carry had been sitting a month. Very old ATV battery was dead and did not take a charge with a battery charger.

June 14 Checked and topped off 4 van tires and 2 ATVs ( 8 tires).

June 16. Filled up ATV tire ( flat after pumping in Green Slime) effortlessly same charge on Jump N Carry as June 14.

June17 2011. Big battery to truck bad. Just click click no turn over. Connected Jump N Carry... same charge as June 14.Started truck in 2 cranks err err. Took truck in for service. Bad battery... shorted cell. Had to buy new battery. Glad I have the Jump N Carry around. Easy to use.. took less than 3 minutes.

June 16, 2012 Unit is still working perfect. Family and I have used it at least 70 times to start cars and big trucks and fill up tires (can go up to 60psi). Also have used it as a power source via the supplied female cigarette plug enclosure to run my moving 20 inch telescope. Lasted all night long!

I own this unit and it is built to last. Jump N Carry is what a lot of professionals use because it does the job. With 1700 peak amps you can start about anything. The added air compressor and 12V power source is also a great feature out there in the field. You can buy cheaper imitations like the other fellow but eventually you will be back to get a Jump N Carry.

I bought the Jump-N-Carry without the air compressor about 10 months ago for a 13 year old Tahoe that has electrical issues that no one seemed to be able to figure out and I loved it! The alternator caught fire while driving (long story), so it had to be towed for repair. The AAA service station that towed it to replace the alternator stole it! Of course they denied it! Anyway...I loved it so much that I bought another one and upgraded to the one with air compressor. When it arrived, I took it out of the box, plugged it in for 24 hours...hooked it up and and the Tahoe (totally dead battery) started right up on the first crank!!! I am not a mechanic by any means, so if I can use this device anyone can! I highly recommend it.

I own 3 Clore Booster packs. One of them is the one with the built in inflator. These units are well built. They perform as advertised. I have had no issues with the chargers at all. I would prefer if they put battery indicator lights on these units as well. The 660 now has the indicator light and the battery protection which doesn't allow an overcharge. The older units have to be charged as per specs or you could damage the units.

I have a John Deere that needs to be jumped started each time it needs to be started. I sometimes jump start my tractor about 15 times in a day. I do charge the unit after the end of the day so I don't know how long it could jump between charges, but in two years, I have never had a problem. I also need to inflate my tractor tires which it does fine. Sure, a bit slow, but that is being picky. I am able to pump up my truck tires also. I have had this unit for two years and am very happy with it.

If I were to make improvments, I would add longer jump cables, a better mount for the tire inflator. I would also add a light made of LED that could illuminate the area. This unit does the job you need it to do if all you want is to jump and inflate. I did buy a new different unit that has an inverter for AC, has DC plugs, inflates, jumps and has a light. the Jump N Carry is lighter and easy enough for my wife to handle with ease while my newer inverter is quite a bit heavier.

Solio Solio Hybrid 1000 Charger

Solio H1000 Universal Hybrid ChargerI bought this before going to summer camp for a week with my son's BSA troop, and honestly, I expected to reap more envy from the other technophiles in the troop than to actually put it to much use (admittedly a shallow motive for buying it). But I was surprised and pleased to actually find it of value.

I charged it from my computer before setting off to camp with the idea that it would be an emergency back-up battery from my mobile phone. By Wednesday evening I'd made a few calls from the remote campsite and had killed the charge on my cellphone. I fully recharged it in short order from the Solio, which was still 60% charged after this.

By Thursday evening, another ASM needed to recharge his phone and I was able to accommodate him with my Solio (which I'd had out in the sun all day and was back at full power).

Finally, on the bus ride home, I was able to loan the fully charged Solio to two scouts to recharge an iPod and another mobile phone. I also recharged my own iPod as well before I had completely discharged the Solio.

Maybe I had better luck than others have had, but I have found that the device recharges more quickly than advertised. I had it out in the sun on my backpack or on my tent all week and it was always ready for use.

And of course, it also paid off in my more mundane expectations and many people admired it, making it a great icebreaker with members of other troops.

I didn't give it five stars only because it still takes a long time to charge it fully and you need to keep your expectations in line. But it does what it says and probably does it a bit better than documented.

I had been looking at this unit for a bit and finally decided to get one. The unit is small and thin and looks pretty cool. In the box you get three adapters (more on that in a minute) and a USB attachment.

The three attachments are for the most common cell phone(s) (nokia) as well as an attachment for blackberry type units and then finally the iPod.

Charging the unit takes some time. It needs DIRECT sunlight. You can tell if its getting good light by a red LED light on the front. It will stay lit up when its getting full on light. The sun light charge was "slow" so I decided to USB charge the unit the next day at work. That took about 2.5 hrs (the unit probably needed a full charge). After that I connected my iPod and began the "charge". It was slow and took a few hours to get the iPod back to a full charge.

Solio has a web site that can get you all the connections you might need. (PSP to Phone/camera etc). I could not find my phone so I emailed them and got a response about 24hrs later. (not too bad). The attachments appear to be about 9.95USD.

If you are looking for "fast" charges I'd say just use your wall outlets/usb's etc. I leave he Solio in my car during the day and get the sunlight..then I'll charge my iPod or my phone (when I get that attachemt) during the ride home.

A cool device and I feel like I am doing the right thing.

I bought this for my daughter who is a Peace Corps volunteer in Togo in a community with no electricity. It was a godsend. She is now able to charge her cell phone and her iPod with no problem, and we worry much less about her not having her cell phone available in case of emergency. The solar charger works perfectly for her; she puts it out to charge during the day and can charge her phone and iPod at night. I believe she can also charge her battery recharger, but am not sure. She is thrilled to have it.

While it has some usability issues, overall the Solio H1000 charger solidly does what it is supposed to do.

First, the good parts. I've had the battery charger for about 6 months now, and the battery and solar panel both work solidly. Note that the solar panel is only really effective outside (windows filter out non-visible light). In other words, if you hang it on a tree in bright sunlight, you should be able to charge your phone once per camping day. And while this is obviously designed for camping, I find myself charging my phone with it whenever I accidentally let my phone drain.

Ok, the bad part... namely the baggie of easily lost connectors that goes with each unit. The connector for your charger of choice is thin, detached, and is constantly getting lost. The USB plug to charge this unit is similarly thin, detached and constantly getting lost. Furthermore, sometimes things charge automatically when plugged into the unit, sometimes you have to hit a button a few times. The battery charged indicator is a simply unclear series of flashing lights.

On overall reflection, it is still a very useful unit. Sadly, I've failed to use it as often as so simply because the needed plastic dangly bits were nowhere to be found, or the plug-in charge function felt like being finicky that day.

Want Solio Solio Hybrid 1000 Charger Discount?

PROs: Nice design, light weight, clip on top with tie-down point on bottom making it ideal for backpacking.

CONS: The internal battery charge rate is FAR lower than the manual would lead you to believe.

In real world use the Solio took about 5 days to charge from 20% to 100%.

This was a mix of direct and indirect sunlight.

Some problems:

1. Even the slightest whisp of a cloud and the battery would stop charging.

2. Even the slightest obstruction to the panel (example a 1" thick back-pack cord covering a small part of the panel), would stop it from charging.

3. Angle to the sun needed to be perfect. Hanging it vertically off by pack was required during the morning, but once noon hit the panel needed to be moved to the top of the pack to charge. It needs to be angled to the sun at all times.

The total power capacity is about equal to 4 low mAh AA batteries.

Overall it's a lot of work, a lot of time and hassle for a very small amount of power.

Another annoyance is these little adapters you need to carry in order to use the Solio. The proprietary power output cable attaches nicely to the Solio, but there is no room to leave and adapter connected. So even if you only use on adapter (like me with the USB), you need to carry it separately.

Also, for serious backpacking future versions need to be built tougher and be water resistant.

Battery Tender 081-0148-12-BG4 12.5' Extension Cable - Pack of 4

Battery Tender 081-0148-12-BG4 12.5' Extension Cable - Pack of 4I'm a Battery Tender fanatic. I honestly think I need help. Maybe it's all in the deviously subliminal master plan to someday transition to an electric car? Anyway it's winter in the Northeast and the boat is in storage (three batteries) along with the waverunners (two batteries) and the motorcycle (except for a few warm winter days), not to mention the non daily driver car that sits. So everything is on chargers since I hate hitting the start button and getting nothing, having to wait, go get a battery, install, and miss an opportunity. Anyway, these chargers never had long connector lines. I had to move the box close to the battery and not too far from the outlets... Enough!....and then I found these extensions which solved my problems. Now I'm tucking (heavy) batteries away in corners where I don't need 'em for a while, and the ones leading into the car and motorcycle aren't getting tripped over knocking Tenders onto the floor. Love them. They work perfectly as long as I lable which ones were going where. These things are great and they work perfectly.

I was sent a pack of only one on two occasions. Then they tell me it's no longer in stock, and other shippers are selling for more money! Very disappointed!

Would be nice if they have the protective caps for storage or when just lying on the ground.

Rapid Car Charger with IC Chip for AT&T LG Incite CT810

Rapid Car Charger with IC Chip for AT&T LG Incite CT810I bought this charger at a very low and reasonable price. It worked very well. Before I first purchased it, I questioned its ability to work for such a low price. Once I tried it, I had no problems at all. It's a wonderful product at a remarkable price. SATISFIED.

Cannot beat the price, I did have to replace 2 fuses already but it works great

I bought two of these car chargers for a new phone purchase, but never used either of them since the phone itself (LG Incite) was a horrible piece of mobile technology and has been retired.

I plugged one of the chargers in and the red light came on so I'm assuming it would have worked. The packaging it came in was very basic and looked about like something you'd pick up at a dollar store. I have no complaints though.

Solar Portable Charger (Red)

  • Equipped with SUN POWERED ENERGY source keeping internal battery fully charged.
  • The unit battery can also be charged through DC Car Charger and any USB port.
  • Includes charging adaptors for most popular cellular phones such as iPhone, Motorola, Nokia LG, Blackberry and Samsung
  • Includes handheld Video Game consoles charging adaptors such as Nintendo DS lite, Dsi, and Sony PSP

I received this as a gift and I have to say this is prob the best gift I ever received. I bought a used car a year ago and after I bought it I realized that where they installed the cd player they had to take out the cigarette lighter/car charging station. You wouldn't think you'd need this for so much. I couldn't use my GPS for long trips, if my cell died I had to wait till I got home, and my MP3 player was a big no-njo since it used a lot of battery life. This little thing charges all of that plus my childrens 3ds and PSP. I even use it in my house to save on the electric bill. It might not be a big money saver but it does help and I figure if I'm ever lost or stuck on a deserted island my MP3 player will always be charged.

Bought this Item for my daughter. She uses the internet a lot on her phone which saps the battery life. Its great when she's on a night out and needs to charge her phone. an inexspenive item to know she has always got connectivity on her phone in case of emergencies.

This charger meets all those criteria and more. It comes with a multitude of different charging adapters and it can be charged from your laptop or a USB plug that are becoming more and more common these days. Once charged stick it in your pocket or your bag with the relevant adopters and off you go.

the only negative thing I can think of is that I would have prefered the pouch to have a fastener at the end so that it doesn't fall out.
