Buybits PRO Motorcycle Bike Mount with Waterproof TOUGH CASE for the Apple iPhone 3G 3Gs Smartphone

- Robust heavy duty TOUGH case is for the Apple iPhone 3G / 3Gs & Professional Motorcycle / Bike handlebar mount. Fits handlebars 19mm-35mm. Min space of 42mm required to fit.
- Bespoke silicon liner for the iPhone 3G / 3Gs only. All function buttons accessible. Clear touch lens is very responsive. Use of the iPhone not comprimised.
- High quality Bike mount. Secure screw fix. Case can be removed from mount for security.
- Case designed to IPX4, all weather, will keep your iPhone 3G / 3Gs secure and dry in most riding conditions. The solid, robust case has been designed to withstand daily use and will protect against wet / damp weather, knocks and bumps.
- Case includes removable lanyard. This is a strong, stylish, hardwearing mounting option for your iPhone 3G 3Gs.
My only complaint is how easily the screen scratches. The clear screen is a very thin plastic material and just one swipe of your finger will leave a scratch. If you happen to have motorcycle gloves with conductive fingertips then you will likely cause real damage to the screen. If I need to touch the iPhone screen for any reason, I now just pull over and pop open the case to touch the iPhone directly. Which is not that big a deal, since I don't have conductive gloves and had to stop to pull off a glove to use it anyway the only added step is popping open the case. This is for a 3G and I neded a 4. The company was so nice and understanding. Returns were easy.

It's a cord and two connectors; one end plugs into your GPS receiver, the other end into a 12-volt outlet in your car. Simple. Remember that running the GPS off car power means you can leave the receiver on continuously and even use the backlight as much as you want.Your website mentioned this adapter is for the Gamin C330 GPS but the it can't fit. The connection on the C330 is different. This adapter can not be used with the Garmin 330cI have no idea why Amazon recommends this for the C330 GPS as it doesn't fit that model. I ordered it on Amazons recommendation and decided it is too much trouble to send it back. They need to check out what works with what. Be careful what they add as accessories as they may not work with the model you order.Tuesday, August 19, 2014
New Combo Rapid Car Charger + Home Wall Charger + USB Data Charge Sync Cable for AT&T Samsung Galax

In that regard, they work well enough as extras. I would have given these products five stars for doing what I need them for, but my rating went lower because of the AC charger. To start, it doesn't charge as quickly as an AC charger should. I tested it extensively and it seems to charge at the same rate as plugging your phone into a computer USB port -to get to the gist, it charges slowly. Whereas the original Samsung AC adapter would charge from 5% to almost 100% in two hours or so, this AC charger would take 4-5 hours to do the same (i.e. USB port rate).
Furthermore, and this is what really brought the score down, it appears there is some sort of glitch related to the AC charger. When charging through the AC charger and using the phone at the same time, the responsiveness of my phone (the Galaxy Skyrocket) would go down dramatically. Often, I would be completely unable to enter my lock-screen pattern or I would have to touch the screen several times before my touch registers or simply that my touch would register after a 2-3 second delay. I have to unplug the phone from the charger to make the phone responsive again.
I haven't tested whether this same issue is there on the car/USB charger, but AC charging is my primary method of charging, so this is a big downer. If the above issues I listed are not a problem for you, then these offers a great extras to what you already have. If the above issues do present a problem, I'd suggest buying something of a higher quality to ensure a good experience. This was a sweet deal and I am so glad I purchased it when I did. I can now charge my phone anywhere at home and in my car at anytimeThese are not a bad product for the pri ce, but the car charger and wall outlet have to be just right or they will not charge.First had a problem with car charger It ok now the car charger working but got a replace meant and it work ok nowThis item was great, just as described. would do biz again. Plan to in the near future! I have recommended to friends. Thanks

Icom IC-A24 Handheld Nav/Comm

Update 2/1/2013: I still love this unit, but I should state that the ICOM battery management is not the best possibly due to the software power up circuitry which draws power even with the unit off. If you are not going to use the unit on a daily basis (off for long periods of time) as mine is, then you should remove the battery to prevent overcharging and damaging the battery. Mine may sit for months between uses and I find that this practice has kept me from overcharging and getting out in the field with a useless battery. It made my CFI jealous. Great for checking the weather and monitoring ground frequencies. I will be carrying it as a backup radio once I get my license.
Buy Icom IC-A24 Handheld Nav/Comm Now
Haven't had to use this yet but will be good for monitoring solo students and as a backup radio. It did come with the headset cable in the box which I saw no mention of but sells for $30 $50 so I'm glad I held off on buying the headset adapter until I got the A24. It can pick up the VOR on the ground at my house about 8 miles north.Like it but instructions on how to store frequencies are not very good. Still have not figured it out yet. This radio has all the features necessary for my flight training. It is very user friendly and meets all expectations. I would definitely recommend this radio. It is everything in the description while I was shopping for one.Thursday, July 17, 2014

Samsung Dart T499 Cell Phone Car Charger

The charger is light and feels a little cheap. But it works! No problems at all. I would buy again.Read Best Reviews of Samsung Dart T499 Cell Phone Car Charger Here
It seems to work in the various cars I've tried it. Sometimes it seems difficult to position however once you know the angle, it is easier to use. I had been told that cars charge phones faster than wall plugs; I have not found that this is the case.It didn't charge my phone at all...:-( The cord needs to be longer if they make one that does work.Cobra CPI-150 Micro Port 150 Watt Power Inverter (Black)

Buy Cobra CPI-150 Micro Port 150 Watt Power Inverter (Black) Now
I spent an absurd amount of time comparing the different inverters on Amazon and finally decided on this one. I'm glad I did, and I am a very persnickety designer. Unlike some of the other ones I was looking at, this one has a clean, slim design. Most inverters must be triple or quadruple the size and weight, if not more! This one is light and tiny, about half the size of a small paperback book, if even that. The plastic it is made out of is the high quality impact resistant stuff, not the fragile junk I was half expecting. The cord is detachable and is just right to keep the inverter out of the way of things like your shifter, but not too long that it's messy. The product comes with this nice little case for the inverter and cord which is pretty handy, perfect for storing it in the glove box. I just got it but have tested it out and it was charging my laptop. I recommend going with this one, you will be happy.Read Best Reviews of Cobra CPI-150 Micro Port 150 Watt Power Inverter (Black) Here
The product is great overall. Incredibly small for inverters (will be perfect for flying with my laptop), the power is not underrated, and the pouch it comes in is very handy. The only downside is that it is noisy. I've heard noisier inverters, but this thing is far from silent. I can hear the cooling fan distinctly over my car's engine and road nice (and I have a pretty loud car).
Overall still happy with the product. I needed an inexpensive, compact power inverter that can be used in a car and on a plane.
Want Cobra CPI-150 Micro Port 150 Watt Power Inverter (Black) Discount?
I read a lot of these reviews and couldn't find definitive answers. So I bought the Cobra, and now I have some very specific notes I hope will help you judge whether this unit will work for you.I used the Cobra CPI-150 in an American Airlines 737 plane.
The DC plug was the standard "car lighter" size, and the Cobra comes with an adapter so you can plug into that. If your plane has that miniport DC power, the Cobra will fit that too. (I didn't find its ability to fit in either port detailed in the product description, but it's a really nice bonus.)
When we were stationary and then taxiing on the runway, it charged my iPhone 4s via the USB port no problem, no interruption. I mention this because some folks had complained they didn't have power on the ground but did so once the plane was in mid flight.)
Then I plugged in an Apple MagSafe 85 watt power adapter with a 3 prong extension to charge up a 2007 17" MacBook Pro. It charged fine for a quick minute, then the Cobra began to reset, light turning from red to green over and over, first sending power to the computer, then nothing, then sending power, then nothing. I thought the problem was that the plane was still taxiing and under-powering the Cobra.
However, mid-flight, I was having the same resetting issues with the Cobra and the 85w Apple power adapter.
I borrowed a 60 watt Apple MagSafe power adapter, and that seemed to solve all the problems. In fact, I'm typing this review on my 17" MacBook Pro that is charging steadily with the Cobra and the 60 watt MagSafe adapter.
So, in conclusion, though the Cobra is labeled 150 watts, it doesn't even sustain 85 watts for longer than a few seconds. Booooo! Shame on you, Cobra. But 60 watts? Sure, no problem. And charging an iPhone via USB, heck yes, it can do that.
Happy, fully-charged journeys to you...

Buy Midland GXT1000VP4 36-Mile 50-Channel FRS/GMRS Two-Way Radio (Pair) (Black/Silver) Now
Either I've ended up with the only 10 radios Midland has made that were junk, or the other reviews are from Midland employees. My radios just won't hold a charge, stop working after 2 days or start to sound like I'm talking under water. We purchased 2 pairs of these for a video production. At first I couldn't believe how good these were. The range, albeit not a million miles like they say, was VERY VERY good! Several miles for sure. Very impressive. So we bough 3 more pairs the same week. But before the second set showed up, the first 4 started flaking out. The batteries wouldn't hold a charge. I thought they were being overcharged, but the book says to keep them on the charger when not in use.
It wasn't 2 weeks before the other ones started flaking out on us too.
Out of the 10 radios there are only 1-2 that appear to work without any issue. For the life of me, I don't see how these have gotten such great reviews since we've only had 10-20% reliability at best with the ones we've purchased.
I don't have any recommendations for any other radios since this is our first radio purchase. These have so much potential, but fall very very short! If they would just stay on and hold a charge for longer than 30 minutes, I would be in love with them because the reception/transmission signal is simply incredible (when working)! In the past I have taken walkie talkies to the State Fair and they were unusable because of all the chattering going on. I brought the Midland GXT1000VP4 radios to the fair and randomly selected a channel and privacy setting. They worked perfectly. Not one other person broadcasted on the same channel (200,000 people in attendance). We could hear each other crystal clear. You either get a crystal clear signal or no signal at all with these radios; there is never any static. They lasted the whole day on one charge and the battery indicator still read full.
The only complaint that I have is when putting them on the charger, it takes a bit of menuvering to get the charge light to go on...and I have had it go off after about 15 minutes before. In that case I reseated the one radio again and the light stayed on for the whole charging period.
Want Midland GXT1000VP4 36-Mile 50-Channel FRS/GMRS Two-Way Radio (Pair) (Black/Silver) Discount?
I recently purchased these radios after our 2-year old Motorolas were stolen. We use the radios exclusively for RVing (communicating between driver and spotter when maneuvering). The audio on these radios is MUCH better than the previous Motorolas. Menu functions seem to be a bit more intuitive as well. The only negative I have found is "range", or lack thereof. Midland advertises 36 miles. (Yeah, I know, that's on a straight shot with nothing in between, but how many of us really use them under those conditions!) In the real world we were able to transmit about 1 mile.
I knew this limitation going in, so I wasn't disappointed.
The radios work well for our purposes. We got these to use as an intercom between the house and workshed. When they work they are fine, but sometimes they don't work. One will go dead, and then if you keep turning it on and off enough times it start up again. But since you don't get a warning when it goes dead you can't rely on being reachable unless you keep checking to see if it is still on.
I wish I had saved the packaging to return them. They aren't sufficiently reliable to keep using.
We haven't used the advanced features, just because we don't trust the radios to carry them anytime we might need them.

Belkin Portable Power Pack 1000 - Mobile Charger / Travel Charger for iPad, iPhone, Kindle, Tablets

I dislike giving negative reviews, but this product had my dander up. Also, I like to save people Forty Dollars on this poor product. The first time I charged this battery overnight (minimum of eight hours); I waited the next day until my iPhone 4S was at 20% of a charge. I then plugged it in while still using the iPhone occasionally. In three hours it went up to 39% and then began to rapidly reduce the entire battery charge back to 20% until it completely discharged. I thought I would try charging it without using the phone. I charged it again in more than the recommended three hours (four hours) until the blue light verified that it was charged. There is NO simple scale on the Belkin battery to tell you how much charge is left in the battery, which I think is a major failing.
I waited until my iPhone was completely out of energy (1%) and then plugged in the Belkin. The small port on the Belkin came loose and dropped into the Belkin Battery. I never had the chance to see how much of a charge I could get. Next came six calls to Belkin who triple verified everything from my name to my model number and promised to get back to me the next day, which they did. What followed were accidental hang-ups, repeat information and a bevy of frustrations.
After reading how so many reviewers only had limited recharge rates, I did ask technical support an important question. "If my iPhone is at 1% of energy and I attach my Belkin Battery fully charged to the iPhone, how much of a renewal charge should I get?" The response was, "You should get a 100% charge up on your iPhone". I don't think so. Save your money and buy something else more reliable like a "Juice pack air(tm) iPhone 4 & 4S Battery Case" or a New Trent ifuel IMP500 5000mAh External Battery pack and Charger for Apple iPhone 4S 4 3Gs 3G (AT&T and verizon), iPod Touch (1G 2G 3G 4G 5G), Motorola Droid, HTC Android EVO, Blackberry, Samsung EPIC, Samsung Galaxy Tablet, Samsung Galaxy S and much more (although I cannot yet speak for the latter). Good luck. I've been waiting for someone to come out with this exact product. I got this because I often use my cell phone for music, route tracking, and to make and receive calls while I'm out on long bike rides, skiing, or just away from the house. The thought has often occurred to me, when I've been especially far away from other people, that the battery in my phone is kind of a critical resource to be wasting on Pandora or other applications that drain the battery quickly. I worried that my battery would be near dead on the exact occasion that I had some emergency come up, and would be unable to use my phone when I needed it. This battery is the exact solution I needed to stop this attack on my piece of mind.
Versatile. The use of a USB port for power-output and for charging on this device means that it works with pretty much every device I own. Android phones, iPods, portable wifi hotspots, Bluetooth headsets, all can be charged from this battery, and it can either be recharged from the wall, the car, or even from your laptop's battery.
Portable. I love the compact size of this battery. I had considered getting the 4000mAh version, but am glad that I opted for this one. It doesn't provide as much power as the bigger unit, but considering how compact it is, the trade-off is worth it for my purposes.
Durable. Although plastic, this battery seems very well made and is very durable. I don't think there will be any problem with it surviving in my ski coat or Camelback.
Power. I got about half a charge onto my Motorola Triumph Android phone when I charged it from zero as a test. Based on that, and the 1000mAh rating, think that half a charge is about what you can expect for this one on most smartphones. Enough for an emergency, or to prolong your phones life, but not enough to give you a full recharge.
I recommend this battery for its stated purpose. If you need something with more power, consider the 4000 mAh version. This is a tiny, lightweight external battery that's good for emergencies only. People should NOT confuse this with the larger batteries also sold by Belkin that are used to really charge batteries.
What exactly do I mean? For example, the iPhone 4 and 4S uses a battery with a capacity of about 1500mA while this battery only has a capacity of 1000mA. Thus, from the specs you should expect that this would only be able to charge about 66% of that of the iPhone. In real world application, expect probably around a 50% charge from this battery to your iPhone.
So, this is definitely for smaller dumb phones if you expect it to fully charge your phone. For smartphones I would only rely on it only as an emergency charger to use in a pinch until you can get to a real power source. For that, this external battery fits the bill quite nicely as it's small and light weight.
The only thing missing I think is a battery indicator beyond just one LED light to show how much power is left in the battery. I guess it's not a problem to just charge it all the time but that's not exactly efficient.
Finally, I think this thing is way overpriced for its intended use. I can see it being a good value if it were priced under $20 but not at the current price. I found this to be a very easy to use little device, quite handy and easy to carry. It took about 4 hours to come back up to a full charge when depleted, so it's not hugely fast on the recharge. It will shut itself down if you detach the phone or what-have-you and don't turn it off, so it will conserve power. It was also durable, as I dropped the darned thing a few times and it survived unschathed.
The down side is that while it's small and light, it also doesn't store enopugh charge to fully recharge a cell phone. I tried it on both my Blackberry Curve and my wife's smart phone and it charged a dead phone back to about 50%. Certainly not awful but I would have hoped for a little better. This is the most basic model in the Belkin Power Pack line. Despite the tagline 'for tablets and smartphone', it's really not strong enough to boost those power hungry items. Even with a full charge, it barely gave my phone an extra boost, nowhere near the advertised '5-10 hrs of talk time'. The best thing about this pack is the slim design. It's very small and would be great for travel. I only wish it carried a stronger charge. It might work better for mp3 players etc, though I haven't personally tested that option.

Lincoln Lubrication 1242 12 Volt DC Cordless Rechargeable Grease Gun with Case and Charger

Even though it's 12V, it has more than enough power to squeeze out the grease, even if you had the gun sitting in a cold garage mid-winter. I found that filling my truck's joints with green grease was exceedingly easier than the last time I had done so with a hand trigger style gun.
When you pick this up and have it in your hand, you know it means business. It doesn't feel "plastic-ey", like it's going to break at any moment. With it resting on my chest, I had ample hose available to reach whatever I needed to reach under my 4x4 truck, which I was thankful for ,given its weight.
No problems whatsoever priming it. They gave all sorts of instructions as to how to prime it if necessary, but I just put the tube in, pushed in the handle in the bottom, and pulled the trigger and a few seconds later grease was kicking out and has kicked out every trigger pull since then.
You can hear the pump cycling through, so there is an audible noise every time it kicks in some grease. This is good since it will enable you to gauge how much grease is going in if you can't see the fitting and are just adding some by feel. Each pump noise equals one full squeeze of a standard grease gun, in my estimation. Each pump is less than a second, so it doesn't take very long either.
Bottom line is, this is an impressive tool. It does what it's supposed to, and it does it well.I've had this for over 5 years and it has worked perfectly each time. Originally bought it to lubricate my steer skid loader, daily. Sold that and use it on my cars and trucks. Very handy I love it. Sometimes I go up to a year between uses and the battery is still charged and going strong. You will like this very much.

Lincoln has been making shop equipment for many a year. It is well thought out and works well. But just like one of the other reviewers said, what you see in the picture is not what you get. Just the greaser, one battery, the charger and case are included. This grease gun is a heavy duty maintenance tool used to lube D-8 Cat's and other cargo handling equipment. It makes the mechanics job easier and hence, the proper preventative maintenance is always completed before the equipment is needed for work.An easy to use and load product. I actually enjoy greasing our tractor and I get more grease into the fittings than I get on myself now.Friday, March 21, 2014
