Update: less than 2 weeks after initial purchase the charger doesn't work at all.

Bought this after getting new cell phone and have been very pleased, esp for the price. Plug my phone in while driving and bingo! it's charged when I get to my destination. Great deal for the money.

This adapter works well, but I have concerns about the durability of the cable itself (not the connectors). The wire is very light guage and does not have the outer cover that the OEM adapter has.

Edited/updated review: The item shipped IS NOT the same as pictured in the product listing. The cable does not have an outer jacket and consists of two very thin wires with light-weight insulation. After just 11 months of moderate-to-light use, the cable frayed and broke just where it enters the 12-volt power connector for the cigarette lighter socket. I don't believe this adapter is worth the money and would not purchase this product again.

I purchased one of these replacement power cords last October through Amazon. I was surprised to see how thin the cord was --not the same thinkness as the original Garmin cord. Despite this, I used the cord through the Winter only to have it break one morning due to the cold temperature. While I do live in New England, I still would not expect a car power cord to literally snap due to cold weather brittleness. I've never had this issue with any other mobile power cord. I attempted to contact the seller in February asking for a refund but never received any response. I ended up buying an original equipment Garmin power cord from ebay, which works fine. A bit more expensive but worth the little extra cost. Don't waste your money with this product or seller.

I ordered this in July for my Garmin c340 and it worked just as it was supposed to until this morning (in early Feb)when I went to plug it into the cigarette lighter, the cord had completely snapped off of the part that plugs in. I didn't notice any fraying previously, but I guess the wires had been fatiguing inside the insulation. I must say that I am disappointed in the durability of this product since it was well cared for and still only lasted a few months.

We were very unhappy with the quality of this garmin car charger. It worked intermittently for about two weeks then stopped working altogether.

I bought this cord as a replacement for the above GPS model. Since this is an older model, it was difficult to find the exact cord that it came with. This is the cord that fits exactly into the round opening on the GPS and plugs into the car AC adapter. The price was also within reason. Product was delivered quickly.

B.B. Battery 7.2 AH 12V SLA Battery BP Series

I have used several of these batteries to replace old batteries in APC UPS units. Some have been installed for over 6 months and they perform as well as the old batteries did. When I was replacing one APC battery, I pealed back the APC label to discover it was actually a B&B battery that they had just slapped their label on.

I received a different brand battery although it has the same volt and amp. It was poorly packed that the corner of the battery was dent. The surface of the battery was heavily scratched that it looked like a refurbish, not new. After my complaint, the seller contact me and offer me a partial refund. I accept the offer because it is a reasonable price for a dented refurbish but still working battery after the partial refund. It is good to know that the seller cares about the complaint and review. I don't mind to do business with them again.

However I received a UB170 in its place which of course, has smaller terminals. Not a show stopper but annoying and not what I paid for. Also as others have stated it was shipped just in a bag.

This company did contact me offering to ship the terminal adapters if I would remove this review. However, probably should have sent it with the battery in the first place if you are going to send something different than what was advertised.

I got this to power my dew heater on my telescope and it does the job quite well. It seems to be well made and works exactly as stated. All metal case with sturdy connectors and IF weight is any indication of quality then this must be a good one. I did not want and did not get a lighter plug connection...this one is set up for direct wire connection only. For those who want to use a lighter plug they make another model like this. I've known Pyramid Car Audio products for decades (sold a lot of their car head units and their CBs and using their 15-inch subwoofers in the Reference Audio System.

In the past, they've always been great values!

Although, I've got a professional version of this Pyramid product, I decided that it was too big for where I needed one. So, I did some research and felt that this Pyramid product should be outstanding.

Once I got it, I put it one my testing bench (yes, I've got a professional one that can accurately test almost any audio product it's a modified McIntosh one) to find that it was performing very well.

I purchased this pack the same day i purchased my phone so they would arrive together. This pack actually arrived first, which is wonderful, but i noticed immediately that the USB cable included (which is very short mind you, about 3') was bent a bit on the micro side and would not work. I gave the company a two star seller feedback and they contacted me that night to resolve the issue. They told me that they would send me out a new USB cable and that i should look for an e-mail with instructions. They then slipped in that i should reconsider my seller feedback, which i would gladly change if the issue was resolved. As pleasant a surprise as this was, no e-mail or replacement ever came and here i am to this day, almost a month later with a tweaked USB cable that does not function.

I believe it is worth mentioning that the wall charger and car charger work fine.

This charger will not charge your Rezound with any but the most minimal of cases on. I have a couple different cases for mine and couldn't get the male micro USB connector from the dock to insert far enough to begin charging. Additionally, the backrest behind the where the Rezound sits (which it would, in theory, rest on) sits back too far for it to support the phone, so really the only thing supporting the phone in the mostly vertical position is the USB connector. Also, just as a point of information, the spare battery charger behind the phone charger is completely flat, so it should accommodate either a standard battery or an extended battery.

The charger is light but doesn't have a cheap feel. There's a blue LED in the back that throws light above and behind the phone when plugged in. I think it's a nice effect. The male plug is the standard type and fits the HTC Rezound, but it's not the notched shape that came with my phone. There's nothing to guide the placement or angle, so it can be very difficult to get the plug into the port. It almost always takes me several seconds or longer to get it seated. Once the phone is in, it's always difficult to get it out and usually requires two hands, which is a problem when answering it in bed.

UPDATE: I got spare batteries and found that the battery charger doesn't work at all. I tried leaving different batteries in the compartment in the rear, and all were completely dead after days of charging.

I bought this to charge my phone at night and use it as an alarm clock in the bedroom. Useless lights on this awful charger are so bright I have to totally cover both the phone and charger. Yes it charges the phone, no the phone doesn't seat easily, Yes I can hear the alarm under the towel that is used to block the stupid lights (and phone unfourtunately). I bought this with the intention of using it to play some music while it charges. The charging aspec of it is okay, but the connection can be difficult to line up right. I spend more time trying to get the phone in place than its worth. I prefer to use a regular wall charger with a case that has a little stand in the back. This unit has no speakers (which I knew about). I can charge through a wall attachment or a USB line, but the USB line is permanent to the docking station. I purchased two pairs of Cobra PR 3000 GMRS 2 watt radios for our ski trip this year. It's one of the best purchases I ever made. I looked at Motorola and Midland before purchasing these. They have more power than Motorola and better built than Midland. I like that most of the buttons are on the face and you don't have to do a lot of menu browsing. We skied at Alta and Snowbird Utah. The ability to talk over the slopes really amazed me. We tried them out in our neighborhood and they worked pretty well. We could converse for a half mile with no trouble at all through trees and houses. However if you go behind a hill the ability to converse is greatly reduced. At Alta Snowbird you are in a canyon with granite walls, so I think the signal is bouncing off the canyon walls, becuase we could talk for miles, even with ridges between us. At the frequencies and power levels of these radios you should get great reception if you are in line of sight without too many obstructions. But don't expect to go much over a half mile if you have a lot of obstructions. If you are true line of sight with no obstructions, you can go further than the 5 miles advertised. In a granite canyon like little cottonwood canyon they were great! We were in a group of 8 skiers and it was snowing hard and difficult to stay together. My 12 year old daughter got separated from us and called in to let us know where she was. It saved hours of anxiety for us and kept us from ruining our ski day. Same thing happened the next day with my 11 year old daughter. As far as I'm concerned it was well worth the price.

I was looking for a used snap-on 1/2 inch impact but found I could buy this new for the same price. After reading other positive reviews and awards along with the fact that Ingersoll makes quality products I bought one. The feather trigger is great and the overall quality of the product seems solid. I put it to the test on some rusted out bolts on an old 1960 Ford truck bumper and it broke them loose with ease. I removed some bolts off a flywheel with no issues either. It's great not having to pull out my compressor especially if I'm working late in the garage. This is hands down one of the best tools I've purchased.

I do like power tools not only as a tool but also as modern art man toys. Ok, I agree, I'm a little bit crazy but this is true :)

This tool has enough torque to do everything I reckon a DIY or even a pro (which I'm afraid I'm not) can do with a car... wow I'm amazed.

Look how easy it is even when I'm right handed and in this video of me trying the tool for the very first time, I'm using my left hand. It is fantastic!!!

I was very nervous about buying an impact wrench because first of all, I know absolute nothing about impact wrenches of any kind and second, I needed the tool was able to work my cars toughest nuts like the ones in the suspension and tires.

The thing is though, While I loooooove DIY and loooove fixing (sometimes what I get is the opposite :) ) my cars, I have wrecked 4 of my intervertebral discs. First because I got too fat, second because I've been careless and finally because I'm not getting any younger so now I need real support from my tools for me to be able to keep my hobbies in sync with my health. While I live in a tropical country with a very mild climate and no rust anywhere either in my 8 years Ford Explorer truck (the one in the video) or my car which is 10 years older (but good looking as the owner LoL ) this tool can handle absolutely every thing it can reach, amazingly easy... Previously, I submitted a negative review on this item. The reason for the negative review was that the charger was not actually able to charge the cell phone.. The point of connection to the cell was through the USB port not the charging port. Bottom line the charger could not function. I stated that since the cost of the item was so low it made no sense to pay the shipping cost to return the item. The sellers have recently notified me that I will be receiving a refund for the product. Even though the charger was a disappointment, the sellers have a satisfied customer.

One gripe with the Nokia 5230 "Nuron" cell phone is that although the phone uses a micro-b USB port for data connections, it has a separate proprietary port for charging. As a result, it's smart to keep a charger in your house and car just in case you need a boost.

This charger is working great for me, and I have no complaints. The other reviewer apparently got a charger with a usb end, but mine has the Nokia power port end, as pictured in the photo.

-Acceptible broadcast strength, plenty loud as long as the iPhone volume is set loud.

-Buttons are flush with the front, fewer accidental button presses like I had experienced with my other (obsolete) transmitter

Bottom line: with recent advances now 3 stars (Amazon does not allow you to change the rating for an item once it is ranked). There are better items now on the market, but a low-cost option, especially good for non-iPhone applications due to random iPhone static interference.

This device works really well... IF you change it from US frequencies to International as explained by Random Bimms in another review of this product. (Thanks Random!!) I was having trouble finding a clear frequency in the D-FW area until I found the secret of setting it to 87.8 MHz. Too bad this tip isn't included in the instructions. With the USB charging connectivity, this is truly a universal transmitter/charger. Don't lock yourself into a unit that is dedicated to a particular brand/model... this one works with all of them that have a standard stereo headphone jack and USB charging.

It's great not having to have any batteries for the transmitter OR the MP3 player. Works fine despite crowded NYC airwaves. Only thing lacking is an on/off switch; I have to pull it out of the lighter socket to keep it from draining the car battery.

Does just as advertised. Except your MP3 player must be set to a high volume. I had trouble finding an unused frequency because I live in a giant urban area. I use 92.1, but as you go from city to city unused frequencies will change.

Delphi XM Roady XT Satellite Radio Receiver

The Roady XT has made some major improvements over the Roady2. First and foremost, artist names and song titles will now scroll if they are longer than 16 characters. Each will scroll twice at the beginning of a song. If you need the complete name/title further into the piece, the best way to trigger the scroll again is to to hit the "display" button five times. This takes you back to the same display mode you were using, and it will begin to scroll again within a few seconds.

The sports ticker is great also. I was able to set it up for every NFL team, so there doesn't appear to be any limit on its size. It's not instantaneous, however; it takes about 2-3 minutes for an actual change in the score to be reflected in the ticker.

There is also a "Jump" button which allows you to flip to the previous channel.

The "Tuneselect" feature now allows you to search for songs not only by the song title, but by the artist name as well. This is accessed through the menu screen. You do, however, have to pick one or the other.

Another big plus: The Roady XT now gives you access to virtually the entire FM spectrum (88.1-107.9) if you want to listen via the FM modulator. The "Jump" button also comes into play here as well. If you hold it in for a few seconds, it will bring up a screen showing the last 6 FM frequencies you used. You can then use the arrow buttons to go to the one you want, then hit "Select." And by setting your in-dash radio's presets to the corresponding FM frequencies, it makes it much easier to adjust the modulator if you start running into interference as you drive.

Tip: The XM antenna also serves as the FM transmitter. If possible, place it close to your regular car antenna.

I own a Delphi SkiFi2 in my personal car and have purchased a Roady XT for my wife and sister-in-law.

The quality of the RoadyXT is excellent! The ease of installation and features it provides the user make it a great bargain. The only critique I have is that I got used to the larger display offered on the Delphi SkiFi2 which makes browsing channels easier to do. Other than that, I'd recommend a RoadyXT to anyone looking for a cheap, good quality sat radio for the car and home.

Great improvement over the Roady 2 and it is amazingly lightweight. I bought the Roady XT after trying to get a home kit for the Roady 2, only to find out the A/C adapter in the Roady 2 home kit didn't want to power up/stay in the Roady 2 (after trying 2 different kits same thing). The Roady XT is a well needed update to the previous model because it seamlessly goes back and forth between satellite and conventional AM/FM settings with a simple push of your preset button. The antenna is strong enough that I have mine inside my car and I seem to be enjoying strong enough reception. You may want your antenna outside your car as prescribed by the owner's manual, but I was concerned that the antenna would be too easy to steal or simply vandalize, so based on my installer's recommendation I had my antenna placed on the upper right windshield, inside the car.

The radio's interface is easy to use. You can scan, digitally enter desired station or use presets. The ticker feature is nice and easy to read. Also my professional installer (I recommend professional installation even though this is supposedly a "plug-and-play") said he has installed many satellite radios and he thought this one was the best he has seen.

Bear in mind all satellite radio is not a perfect technology. It's got great content but remember it's vulnerable to reception glitches in the same way that a cell phone is. Going under tunnels, bridges, for example; or driving up in the mountains or by the beach with lots of overhanging structures; even heavy cloud cover can compromise your signal. But even with its similar cell phone weaknesses, I think on balance satellite radio is a good buy, especially for long drives when you don't want to be faced with "cow pasture" radio stations.

In conclusion, the XM Roady XT, with its effortless transition between satellite and FM/AM radio, represents the best technology for this type of radio.

Post Script: Contrary to my installer's advice, the radio works better with the antenna mounted on the dash than it does in the upper right window.

Update 8/20/06: If I could do it over again, I'd only get satellite radio if it was pre-installed in the car because my installer, as a result of moving a car panel, has made a rattling sound in the side car panel, which he removed to put in the radio. Don't get one installed, only pre-installed.

Final Update on 12-15-07: I did not renew my XM subscription. As I said, the installation resulted in car rattles and vibration noise. The actual satellite sound was unacceptable: loud hissing, static, sometimes outright lack of reception, compromised fidelity even in best conditions. Living in LA, I have so many terrestial radio choices plus "radio" websites such as Pandora leave me with no desire for satellite radio.

The sound quality and reception of my Roady XT using the built-in FM transmitter is tremendous at home as well as in my car using the car antenna on my dash and on my couch. It may have something to do with living in the San Jose area though. Pretty slick little radio. I am impressed. Good job Delphi!

UPG UB645 Sealed Lead Acid Batteries

This battery was purchased as a total replacement battery pack in a Wildgame Innovations (WGI) 1.3 MP strobe Game Camera under the Timberview brand name. See my review of that camera. This game cam used 4 "C" cell batteries. At best the batteries would last 6 weeks. After buying several packages of "C" cells, it was time to trim our battery cost.

The battery was quite a bit smaller than I expected. Out-of-the-box, this battery was charged (6.34 volts), but we topped it off before the battery was placed into service (7.30 volts). Furthermore, given the reserve capacity rating of this battery in comparison to the reserve capacity of an Alkaline "C" cell battery, we should get far more use time out of this battery. How much more? That can only be evaluated at a later date. As a side note -WGI newest deer cam models have the capability of connecting a 6 volt battery pack, such as Amazons Wild Game Innovations External 6V Battery Pack. WGI uses a pair of batteries of comparable specifications to the UPG UB645 inside their battery pack.

I will update this posting as we monitor this battery's performance in the field. Preliminarily (2 days use), this battery is performing as expected.

The application this battery is now being used in, the size, being completely sealed from the elements and the current price, we are hard pressed to find fault with this purchase.

9/2/2010 Update

First field test with the deer cam over a 19 day time period in the woods and in wet conditions -237 pictures with approximately 85% being flash pictures. ALL flash pictures came out clear, no black pictures when the camera triggered and the battery couldn't supply enough power to charge the flash strobe. Voltage test in the field -5.99 volts under a minor load. We recharged the battery to 6.67 volts and placed this battery back into service with the deer cam in the woods. We are very pleased with this battery's performance.

9/29/2010 Update

28 days and 330 pictures (85% flash) in the field -The camera was shut off when we retrieved it. The last 24 pictures were black, where the flash couldn't recharge due to the drop in battery voltage. The battery was drained down to 3.57 volts when it was brought back for recharging. After a slow 12 hour recharge, the battery was back up to 6.67 volts.

I cannot fault this battery. The drain came from the camera and the flash itself. Performance between "C" cell batteries and this one appear to be closely related with one major exception the ability to recharge this battery, unlike the "C" cells that have to be replaced. We are going to monitor and recharge this battery more closely in the future. I'm disappointed in the prospect that this battery doesn't have the long term capacity to supply power to this deer camera over the long, cold Michigan winter.

10/05/2010 Update

We returned to this battery after 5 more days in the field. 150 pictures and all were perfect. The battery voltage was at 6.20 volts (80% flash pictures). Pulled the battery and recharged to 6.67 volts. One night, with overnight temperatures dropping to 22 degrees, we captured 250 flash pictures all clear in full color. The battery voltage was at 6.0 volts. We recharged the battery and placed back into service.

We have now obtained a 9 volt solar panel charger for this battery. Our next trip up, this solar panel will be connected to our battery and camera. We anticipate this will give the battery a much needed boost in life over its long winter task.

In all, this battery performed as we expected. The cost savings in "C" cell battery's has now more than paid for itself.

1/11/2011 -Second battery

We have a second deer cam Wildgame Innovations IR5 5.0MP Digital Game Scouting Camera with Infrared Flash(see my review of this game cam) in the field now. It too is developing battery issues, especially with the flash at night. The batteries are "C" cell's and we are going through too many to be economically viable. So, just like its smaller cousin, we are hard wiring in this battery for increased performance and longevity in the field.

Buying a second similar battery for the very same purpose shows how happy we are with these batteries. The cost savings is also a big plus!

7/2/2011 Third battery and Update

We purchased our third deer cam along with a third battery. The new camera is a 2011 S1.3X strobe deer camera with an external battery connection as sold by Amazon as Wildgame Innovations Game Scouting Camera with Video. Our first run with this new camera required the need for a higher power battery. Here it is.

All three batteries work great. All recharge fine and hold their charge for extended use. Even after hundreds of flash pictures every 30 seconds, all pictures come out. We couldn't be more pleased with these batteries performance.

6/8/2012 Update

11 more months have passed since my last update. Two harsh winter's and two hot summers, rain and snow, weeks of total discharge sitting waiting for a recharge are just some of the conditions we require these batteries to perform in. All three batteries are still in service. All three batteries take and hold their charge. Battery efficiency drops significantly in real cold weather, but when recharged, they bounce right back to their prior operating condition.

The oldest of the three batteries (made in 4/2010) has been rotated to the most power efficient camera with infrared flash. Even doing this, we are still netting over 300 pictures per charge with most being nighttime pictures using the flash. Voltage remains well within operational limits of the camera of more than 5.5 volts.

These batteries have performed better than we expected. How long will they last? We will find out, but it may be some time into the future.

6/27/2013

Another year has passed with these batteries. We are now down to two strobe flash camera's using this battery. We rotate the third out as a spare battery, so only two are being used at any one time.

All three batteries are performing very well. Even sitting discharged the past cold winter in NW Michigan, they recharged just fine. Two are working as I write this, snapping deer pictures in the woods.

Almost 3 years of continuous use, months of total discharge in sub-zero temps and they come back to life each time they are recharged. I am truly amazed that they continue to perform as well as they have. If you need a 6 volt battery like this, don't hesitate. They work!

I purchased this battery as a replacement for a Peg Perego Thomas the Train Ride along Engine. Merely take the green top off the old battery, slap the green top on this new battery and you are good to go. Peg Perego batteries are around 4 times the price. Save yourself some $ and get a generic battery that operates at the same efficiency.

I bought an emergency power fail light at a big box store several years ago. Recently it quit working and I traced the problem to the battery.
