Whistler XTR-140 Laser/Radar Detector with Exclusive Twin Alert Periscopes

Whistler XTR-140 Laser/Radar Detector with Exclusive Twin Alert Periscopes
  • Complete band coverage of all Laser, Radar, VG-2, and Safety Radar bands
  • Exclusive Twin Alert Periscope provides an added attention-getting visual alert
  • Easy-to-read icon display indicates power, city mode, band identification, and signal strength
  • Three unique city modes and highway mode to reduce false alarms
  • Patented VG-2 cloaking technology for undetectability

I was extremely skeptical about the performance of a $40 detector, but after a few recent road trips, I am convinced this is actually a well functioning product. Although it does not have exceptional filtering ability for false signals, it can still give you enough X/K/Ka warning for you to slow down in time.

The two blue LED's are a great innovation, because you can easily see them out of the corner of your eye. This is extremely useful when your radio drowns out the audible signals, or when the sun washes out the primary letter warning lights.

You simply can't go wrong with the price. It does not have the features of the top of the line detectors (coiled power cord, voice alert, text readout, settings save, compass, etc), yet it has at its core the most important feature: the basic detection ability to provide enough warning for the driver.

Buy Whistler XTR-140 Laser/Radar Detector with Exclusive Twin Alert Periscopes Now

i purchased the xtr 140 and it has been great so far, from what ive read the 330 has voice alerts and thats the only main difference. higher end radars have alot more features (compass, volt meter, aarows, pop detection etc) but none of that matters to me, i just wanted a radar detector that works. usually i find myself drifting 12 or so mph over the posted limit in the city and it gives me plenty of time to stop. besides a blip of ka when i pass a walgreens or cvs (if you are pointed at the doors its a full alert) the city 2 mode is pretty quiet. then again i can barely hear the radar when it goes off with the radio on so the lights come in handy to get my attention

i bought the 140 model because it was cheap but still accurate. i really dont care about a 3-4 mile range of detection because with instant off and instant on even a v1 cant save you if you are alone on the road. no one uses POP radar and im not going to pay another $50 for a feature im not going to use, and in the city there are so many cars on the road that i can pick up a trap in more than enough time to react.

************update 10/2/09***************

i have had this detector for about two years now and it has yet to disappoint me. however after owning it for about a year i felt the need to splurge and purchase a higher end unit, the whistler pro 78 rev c. i thought that my top tier purchase would blow my old xtr140 out of the water, but suprisingly the performance was nearly identical. however with the pro 78 you get to select what functions you want enabled or disabled.

in short i have to stick to my original review

pros:

i have gotten over a mile detection of a K band speed trap

i have also gotten slightly over a mile detection on k/a band

very clear display

VERY cheap

cons:

lacks internal memory. doesnt save settings

"chatty" on k and specifically x band. it will pick up your cvs walgreens everytime. its best to run city II mode if you do heavy city driving

i still recommend this product to anyone when they talk about speeding tickets. always gives me plenty of time for radar alerts

the whistler also has that signal strength meter, where as i believe the cobra does not. i have a cobra esd6060 and this whistler destroys it in detection distance

Nice quality. No nonsense.

Picks up some stray X from industrial parks or commercial buildings occasionally in Highway mode if buildings are adjacent to interstate, BUT these signals easily discerned giving only one bar on strength meter, and a couple warning only chirps.

However, first night out, I had my unit reach three bars, light up the entire display like a Christmas tree, blip the periscopes constantly, basically seemed like the thing was going to implode ("scary"), and then I saw the cop! He was about 3/4 mile away, opposite side of interstate facing me with a victim pulled over, lights flashing.

Caught him a second time while exiting an off ramp in a hotel parking lot perpendicular to me prior to that with another victim! "Big, bad, Dodge Hemi" cruiser, all painted up with intimidating graphics. "Big bad", muscle car, chase car with undoubtedly the latest radar.

All I know is that this little $38 Whistler "smells" his butt a mile away like a geiger counter detecting radiation! He hangs in the same geographic area around my workplace constantly busting people (a real worka"ho"lic), but now I can "smell" him a mile away for $38!

Me like!

Want Whistler XTR-140 Laser/Radar Detector with Exclusive Twin Alert Periscopes Discount?

I recently bought this detector for my wife since she racked up a few tickets lately, and it has blown me away! I have an older Whistler 1545 detector that is pushing 10 years old now, and this one destroys it (even though the old one cost twice as much). The blue lights are a real attention-getter and the volume dial is a treat (something my old one doesn't have one). This baby picks up waaay farther than my old unit. It picked up a county Sheriff last night over half a mile away, over a HILL! It also caught the splash back from one of the automated radar warning signs they park on the highway (the "Your Speed Is__" things). We were coming up to it, it was 100 yards ahead of us facing oncoming traffic (away from us), and the detector caught the reflected radar waves bouncing off the oncoming trucks. Unbelievable. You would expect his level of performance in the $100-$200 detectors, but not from one that was under 40 bucks. This baby is a real gem.

Needless to say, I am buying another one to replace my old Whislter! Highly recommended.

Pros: Inexpensive, easy set-up, user friendly, exceptional performance.

Cons: None yet.

It's almost exactly the same as my old Whistler 1732 radar detector. The only pluses are the blue lights stand out at night, but you can't even see them in the daytime. Also, the 3rd city mode lets you get rid of the X band which almost no police use anymore anyway so it cuts down the false alerts by at least 80%.Worth it, although everything resets everytime so that sucks almost enough to want to buy the next model up.But for now it will work. Also it's way bigger than my old one.Not bad though for 40 bucks.

Motorola Roadster Bluetooth In-Car Speakerphone - Retail Packaging

Motorola Roadster Bluetooth In-Car Speakerphone - Retail PackagingI own the newer Motorola Roadster and the slightly older Motorola T505. So it made sense to do a head-to-head comparison to see which unit is better.

Design: Both units are compact. The Roadster's layout is somewhat more appealing to my eye. The Roadster's controls are labeled and easy to find. They are also illuminated. The T505's controls are not as well labeled or illuminated, but it is easy to use nonetheless.

The T505 has a reversible mounting clip, so it can work with cars like my Audi, which have sun visors that swing from front-to-rear rather than the usual rear-to-front. Roadster's mounting clip is not reversible, so I must mount it backwards in order to use it. Once the unit is mounted backwards, throw those easy-to-read labels and icons out the window. The T505 is made from plastic. So is the Roadster, but it also is partially covered by a nylon or poly cloth material that could prove to be less durable. While the Roadster features a more updated look, the lack of a reversible mounting clip gives a slight advantage to the T505, as the Roadster is hard to use when mounted backward.

Pairing. Both bluetooth units pair very easily, but the advantage goes to the Roadster, which announces that it is ready to pair and then does so quickly. Things couldn't be much easier then that. But the T505 is also easy to pair, just not quite as easy as Roadster. Also, the Roadster turns itself on when you enter the car, which is nice. The T505 must be turned on manually.

I paired both units with a newer Palm Pixi Plus and a slightly older Palm Treo 755p. While Roadster initially paired with this somewhat older 755p, after a couple of days it would no longer pair. I tried everything I could think of and got to pair eventually, but it later developed the same problem, dropping pairing and then refusing to pair. The T-505 paired and remained connected without issues. While the Roadster pairs easier than the T505, I had no issues with the T505 and I had several problems with Roadster's pairing. Advantage: T505.

Streaming Music: Both units can stream MP3s from your cell phone through your car stereo. When advancing from one track to the next, Roadster required me to hold down the advance button for much longer than I'd like to, creating a distraction while driving. A single touch on that key pauses the music but it must be held down for awhile to advance the track. I had to hold the button down to the point where it was annoying. Also, the advance takes longer than I'd like and is accompanied by a very loud beep and then a clicking sound. Also, with Roadster, I cannot revert to the previously played track. With the T505, I simply click on the right side button to advance and the left side button to go back. Changes from track to track only require a short touch, the change is immediate and it is not accompanied by the obnoxious beep tone or clicking noise. Advantage T505.

Speakerphone: The Roadster's built in speakerphone is louder and clearer than the T505's. If you are using the speakerphone and not streaming to FM stereo, the advantage goes to the Roadster.

Output to FM stereo: Both units have similar output strength to FM. It could be better but both units are much better than a Jabra unit that I tested earlier. I'd consider the output to FM on both units to be on the better side of acceptable. Roadster can select a specific FM frequency that you'd like for the unit to broadcast on each time. The T505 cannot do this. T505 will automatically scan for a frequency and you can select a preferred frequency, but it will generally select whatever it likes. I'd probably call this a draw, although I do prefer Roadster's frequency-selecting ability.

Call quality: I spoke with my mother on the Roadster first and then with the T505. I was driving a convertible with the top up. The car is not noisy but is slightly more so than a hardtop vehicle. The Roadster's microphone was so sensitive that it was picking up much of the background noise and forcing the duplex to me even when I wasn't speaking. That meant that I couldn't hear much of what mom said because Roadster picked up the road noise and shut off mom's conversation. The T505 didn't have this problem. Big advantage T505.

Incoming calls: When an incoming call arrives, both units announce the caller's name and number, if available. Roadster allows you to say "answer" or "ignore". With the T505, you simply tap the telephone icon to answer. Slight advantage Roadster.

Texting: It's my understanding that Roadster can read back texts and allow you to reply to them. I did not test this function, but assuming it works properly, it seems like that would be an attractive feature for someone who texts a lot. Advantage Roadster.

The Winner: Of the two units, I prefer the T505. It's less fussy than Roadster. While Roadster's pairing failed several times, the T505 was always rock solid. Music streaming track advances were much quicker and smoother on the T505. The microphone was way too sensitive on Roadster, although this might not be a problem for those with a very quiet car.

Both are decent units, but I'm using the T505 daily while Roadster sits in its box. Roadster isn't bad, but I can't give it more than 3 stars based on my experiences.

Before getting this I did quite a bit of searching on the web, and couldn't find anything that explains exactly how well this speakerphone works with iPhones. Several other reviews outline its main features, and a few mention that they use it with their iPhones but don't discuss the limitations of that mode, so what follows is intended just for those who hope to use it with an iPhone. (I've got the iPhone 3G, but I can't see any reason it would work differently with the iPhone 3GS or 4).

It's clearly designed for droid phones, and on those phones you can download the MotoSpeak app and have it read texts out loud and even allows you to compose texts hands free. Still, the basic and most essential functions appear to work with any Bluetooth enabled phone, and certainly with my iPhone 3G.

It hooks easily to the sun visor of the car, and the charger plugs into the cigarette lighter. It links easily with the iPhone, once you go into the settings and enable Bluetooth. After it's linked, the Roadster recognizes your phone, and turns itself on automatically, apparently triggered by the sound of an opening or closing car door. Once on, it speaks out loud that it recognizes your phone, and even says the name of the phone it's linked to. It also tells you whether it's fully charged or not.

If you receive a call, it tells you there's an incoming call and if your phone recognizes the caller it tells you who's calling. You can then say either "Answer" or "Ignore" and it will either pick up the call or drop it. You hear the call either through a speaker built in to the Roadster or you can set it up so it transmits directly to your car stereo through an unused FM frequency. The onboard microphone picks up your voice all you have to do is speak at an ordinary level and it works fine. My wife reported that it sounds just like it does when I'm calling her directly through the iPhone.

Pressing the call icon on the Roadster will redial your most recent call. Another feature built in to it is that you're supposed to be able to click on the dial tone button and speak a phone number but when I press that button the Roadster tells me that the feature is unsupported by my phone. It strikes me a bit odd that the Roadster can control my iPhone enough to dial the most recent call, but not to dial a different number, but that's the way it is.

You can also play music from your phone through the Roadster it sounds awful if you try to do it through the speaker on the Roadster, but when you've got it on the FM transmitting mode, and assuming you've got it set on a clear station the music sounds pretty decent, about as good as you'd get it from a decent but not perfect signal on a regular FM station. In my case I hook the iPhone directly to my stereo with a USB cable, so I wouldn't ever bother with this.

So what this is really useful for on my iPhone is answering calls hands free and in my case that's the main thing I wanted it for so it works pretty well for me. If you want to make phone calls a lot while driving, or want to receive and send text with voice commands, you'll need a different kind of phone, with Android 2.2 or higher. Having said that, those features would make this an excellent device for owners of Android phones; the more basic features still make it quite useful for iPhone users like me.

I am really not sure what is up with the bad reviews(1 star). Regardless of the bad reviews, I still purchased the product and to be honest I think it is great. People seem to complain for absolutely no reason. Don't compare a device to another device. This is not a comparison review. The product delivers as advertised.

This is my first motorola product I purchased from amazon.

-Quick delivery +

-Easy pairing. What a breeze for any non techies out there. +

-Speaker phone works great. + Everyone I spoke to so far had no clue I was on speaker phone. Its loud too except if the volume is on full blast it can be slightly distorted. Simple fix(don't put it on full volume)

-FM transmitter works fine. + Here is where I don't get some of the reviews. What do you expect? Dolby Digital, THX certified sound coming out of your car speaker from this device? You don't even get that from your handheld phone. If you find a clear FM channel and play around a bit, it will come in fine. Not 100% clear but what do you expect? Its a FM transmitter people. I think its perfectly fine and once again, nobody said they heard anything strange on the other line.

-Synch multiple devices. + This was really cool. I had two cellphones in my car and the device knew to switch back and forth between the two when I hit a button on either phone. I remember my old BMW which had bluetooth couldn't do this. I had to manually switch back and forth. So annoying while driving. This device did it no problem.

-Not sure about battery life since i've only had for a week but its seems fine. It would have been nice using mini USB charger instead of some strange connector from motorola.

-Haven't tried motospeak(speech to text) yet sorry.

Only Con: The buttons on the device aren't the best. I hit a button and doesn't seem like i'm even hitting it. FM, +, buttons in particular. No big deal. You shouldn't have to hit buttons often anyway. I changed from 4 stars to 5 because this is just being too picky. If I could do 4.5 stars then I would but I can't so 5 stars it is.

If I were you, I would definitely purchase it. Its a sleek little device and not bad for under $80 bucks. Works like a charm. Don't listen to the rest of these people that gave 1 star reviews cause they are used to their old devices or are just whiners by nature. LOL. Works as advertised.

Just got this a few days ago, but so far I am very impressed by it. Charged it up in the house and it immediately connected to my phone. I leave it on in the car and it immediately connects when I get in--even faster than the "built-in" bluetooth on our other car. The sound is good--people have no problem hearing or understanding me while I'm driving in the car, and I have no problem hearing callers. Love the voice commands--I can just say "answer" and don't have to reach up for the button to answer calls. It also automatically connected to my phone's contact list so it tells me who is calling if they are on the list--otherwise just the phone number--and I can say, "Call Roy" and it does it! Now that's real "hands free". So far the battery seems to last well. I've had it on in the car for 3 days and the battery is still "high" (I never turn it off). I don't use the FM connection, nor do I stream music from my phone through it, so can't comment on those functions. However, I can't imagine that this speaker could reproduce music as well as the car's sterio system. I bought it strictly as a Bluetooth speaker for my cell phone for hands free receiving and placing of calls and it is doing that beautifully!

Want Motorola Roadster Bluetooth In-Car Speakerphone - Retail Packaging Discount?

The Roadster is a lightweight unit roughly the size of a cellphone but molded to fit properly on an automobile sun visor. It comes with a car recharger and small instructional booklet. I unpacked mine and turned it on. It immediately "spoke" through the built-in speaker, indicating that its battery level was low and that it needed to be connected via Bluetooth to my cellphone. I have an iPhone 4; I turned that on and selected the Settings app so that I could set up the Bluetooth connection. Following the instructions I'd just heard on the Roadster, I accomplished that within a few seconds. The Roadster then indicated that it was connected to my iPhone, using my iPhone's personal name through the speaker.

The next day, I put the Roadster in my car, plugging it into the lighter socket to recharge the battery. A blue LED on the lighter plug indicates that power is being received and the unit announces that it is being charged. A little while later, I received a phone call. The ring tone that I'd normally hear on my phone came through on the Roadster's speaker and I was quickly able to answer the call. While driving on the highway with some interior noise in the car, the unit had excellent clarity and my caller indicated that he had no trouble understanding the conversation.

While I can send the Roadster's speaker output to the FM radio band instead, I rarely have the radio on and so have not used that function.

I left the car at the airport, leaving the Roadster turned on and unplugging the lighter plug, and taking my iPhone with me. Four days later, returning to the car, as I opened the door I heard the Roadster announce that it had detected my iPhone and was setting up the Bluetooth connection. This required no action on my part. Battery level was announced as being high, so clearly the unit had turned off appropriately during my and my phone's absence. I initiated a call this time and the input/output was automatically directed to the Roadster's mic/speaker setup without any additional action on my part.

As you've read in other reviews, the Roadster has other capabilities, such as streaming music, voice response to certain commands, and so forth. I haven't utilized these capabilities yet, but the strength of this product is in the straightforward and easy setup, the clarity of the speaker and microphone, and the ease and speed with which it links to the Bluetooth connection of my phone each time I return to the car. I've observed no errors or problems in this regard over the first 10 days of use and am looking forward to a long relationship between my phone and the Roadster.

Interphone F5 Stereo Bluetooth Motorcycle Headset with 6-Way Intercom Conference and FM (Twin Pack)

Interphone F5 Stereo Bluetooth Motorcycle Headset with 6-Way Intercom Conference and FMI bought the F5 mainly for the bike to bike intercom feature. Shipping was great got the F5 in 3 days. Out of the box the F5 feels like a quality product. I was expecting installation to be a little difficult. I was very pleasantly surprised at how easy the units installed. I put them on two helmets in under 30 minutes. Both F5s were paired right out of the box. My girlfriend and I took the F5s on a test ride. We both ride Harleys with no windshields. I could easily hear until the speed got up to around 55 mph. The speakers could be louder. Over all I am very pleased with the F5. Easy to install and easy to use. Only down side is the speakers need to be louder.

After using the F5 for a few days I am very disappointed with the battery life. Streaming music or using a cell phone with the F5 I am getting less than 1 hour of use time before the battery dies. A lot shorter than the advertised 11 to 12 hour use time the unit is suppose to provide. I dont know if I have a unit with a bad battery or if this is the average use time. I am waiting for a response from Interphone. Hopefully it is a battery issue and not normal performance of the F5.

The battery was bad in one of the units. Interphone replaced the unit within a week and it is working as advertised. I was very pleased with customer service at Interphone.

I bought three of these for my friends and one for myself. Going on group rides are so much better now with the F5, instead of having to guess what your ride buddy is trying to say. Daily commutes are better as well with FM radio and music streaming from a Bluetooth device.

Intercom works well. The only issue I have found was reconnecting to streaming music on an Android phone after exiting intercom mode. This issue was resolved after updating to the latest firmware on the F5.

Usage with iPhone:

I am able to make calls, receive calls with spoken caller ID, have text messages read to me (iPhone 4S/5), send text messages (iPhone 4S/5), control music play back, most anything with Siri, and now with iOS6 turn by turn directions.

Tip on how to use Siri (iPhone 4S and 5):

While in phone mode select the down button once and about 2 seconds later you will hear Siri's tone. Say anything you would with Siri and do not press any buttons, Siri will know when you have stopped speaking and process your request.

Defiantly can tell this is a quality product just by holding it. I have ridden through some heavy rain and did not experience any issues. The F5 is covered with a one piece of rubber that makes it water proof.

At the beginning I had issues using the F5 because my cold weather gloves were too thick, and I unable to feel buttons. I was pressing the wrong buttons and getting distracted from the road. I would recommend for the first week or two to use summer gloves until you get familiar with the button locations.

Battery life is great on the F5 comes. I leave the wall charger at home and travel with a USB cable (included) which can be used for charging.

Amazon has done it. Cyclebots is now selling the Interphone F5 via Amazon.

The F5 sets the bar for motorcycle intercoms. It is easy to use. The stereo output

is loud and clear. The Bluetooth 3.0 is amazing. The big bang for the buck is multiple motorcycle hook up on intercom. It comes with everything you will need and then some. Truely a first class unit.

If you liked the talking GPS ( Dora the ding-bat)then you'll love this talking Interphone (Sweet Cheeks).

I had purchased the Interphone F4 last year. After much research, I thought it was the right option. The units worked great the installation was easy. However, the connector is extremely delicate. It is very difficult to get the plug aligned to connect the mic/speaker cable and the charger cable. You have to remove the mic/speaker cable in order to plug in the charger cable. Bad design! Recently I experienced a situation where the mic/speaker cable would not make a good connection. Therefore the unit would not work properly or at all. I contacted the place where I purchased the unit. I was advised to contact the distributor. They advised me they were no longer the distributor and to contact the new distributor. Meanwhile, the F4 had been replaced by the F5 model. The new distributor did not have an F4 replacement. They only handled the new F5. After much correspondence with the seller and the new distributor, I finally received a replacement F4 module. Then the other module died as well from the same cause. So, rather than fight it any longer I bought the SENA SMH 10.

The Interphone worked well when it worked. But, if you get into a warranty issue, you may have a difficult time of it. I understand the connector on the F5 is improved. Not worth $500 to find out. The SENA is about $150 to $200 less money and works great.

Save A Battery 2365-6 6-Volt Battery Charger and Maintainer

Save A Battery 2365-6 6-Volt Battery Charger and MaintainerI needed a charger that would not ruin the battery if I left it charging too long. Got this one and the reviews of other users were on target. It works as specified and maintains with the trickle charge in fine fashion.

Save A Battery 2365-6 6-Volt Battery Charger and MaintainerWe purchased this battery charger/maintainer for use on our 1928 & 1931 Ford Model A's. The charger met all our expectations very well! And the battery seemed stronger after using the charger--the "ah-ooh-gah" horn was strong with the voltage of the battery without the push of the alternator.

The title says it all. I have purchased the Sears version, the Harbor Freight version, the J.C. Whitney version and several others that presently remain nameless, useless products that purported to do the job. This one works and I have several in use maintaining my old car batteries while the autos are in seasonal storage. These cost a few bucks more than its competitors, but then again, where is the savings if the cheaper version can't get the job done? I predict you'll be pleased with this product for years to come.

Power Bright VC300W Voltage Transformer 300 Watt Step Up/Down converter 110/120 Volt - 220/240 Volt

Power Bright VC300W Voltage Transformer 300 Watt Step Up/Down converter 110/120 Volt - 220/240 VoltI've put about 200 watts of load on this and it runs cool, quiet and works great. Those complaining of overheating, buzzing, and blowing fuses must be overloading it and should have bought a larger model with a higher wattage rating.

It's not ultra well made, but what do you want at this price? I verified it's properly grounded and fused. And it claims to be CE rated (the European rating agency).

It's also worth noting it gives you the ability to fine tune the voltage a bit with the selector on the back (each mode has 2 different voltages--i.e. 220v or 240v). That could be useful if you have unusually high or low line voltage.

One note: It does NOT have a detachable power cord like shown in the picture. It comes with a regular 120 USA AC cord hard wired in for the input power for step up use. And an adapter to plug is supplied to convert that into a euro plug for step down use.

I bought this product three times higher power than what I comsume. Open the box, no installation. plug in the power! Work for me. I user that everyday for two weeks. So far so good. Work fine to me.

This converter does the job well. Since it's a single outlet, I chose to attach a multiple-outlet extension cord, to accommodate all of my electrical needs, including a netbook. I didn't have any issues with it blowing fuses. The main reason I bought this was I've lost too many appliances to using just an electrical adapter while traveling overseas and on cruise ships, but when I bought this, I neglected to take into account the weight limits for baggage that is allowed on overseas flights. It added 7 lbs to my luggage and took up too much precious cargo space. I'm now looking for a lighter and leaner one. Anyone interested in buying mine knowing all the limitations?

Everything stated by the seller corrispondes to the truth. However you have to be very careful with the three pin plug outputs of the device. One output is for 220V devices (i wonder what is the possible use of a 220V output on a 220-110 converter) If by mistake you plug your 110V device into this output,it wil burn! Ingersoll Rand W7150-K1 1/2-Inch High-Torque Impactool Charger with Li-Ion Battery and Case Kit

Ingersoll Rand W7150-K1 1/2-Inch High-Torque Impactool Charger with Li-Ion Battery and Case KitThis impact wrench is just plain awesome. It has great power and the battery life seems to be pretty good also. Should be able to do at least a few tire rotations, brake jobs etc. no problem. My only gripe is where they put the direction switch. If it was a 1/2" higher or a 1/2" farther back it would be better, but that's my only complaint.

This machine is just plain awesome. Took a crankshaft bolt out of my honda accord in one try... Fixing car is fun again

Arrived in timely fashion, securely packaged, all expected parts of kit present! Charged and functioned with excellent power and portability as designed. Could have designed directional switch with more thought or detent strength, easily to accidentally hit directional switch while holding in hand for use. But very impressive power for the job and size of tool!!!

I was looking for a used snap-on 1/2 inch impact but found I could buy this new for the same price. After reading other positive reviews and awards along with the fact that Ingersoll makes quality products I bought one. The feather trigger is great and the overall quality of the product seems solid. I put it to the test on some rusted out bolts on an old 1960 Ford truck bumper and it broke them loose with ease. I removed some bolts off a flywheel with no issues either. It's great not having to pull out my compressor especially if I'm working late in the garage. This is hands down one of the best tools I've purchased.

This tool is serious business!!!

I do like power tools not only as a tool but also as modern art man toys. Ok, I agree, I'm a little bit crazy but this is true :)

This tool has enough torque to do everything I reckon a DIY or even a pro (which I'm afraid I'm not) can do with a car... wow I'm amazed.

Look how easy it is even when I'm right handed and in this video of me trying the tool for the very first time, I'm using my left hand. It is fantastic!!!

I was very nervous about buying an impact wrench because first of all, I know absolute nothing about impact wrenches of any kind and second, I needed the tool was able to work my cars toughest nuts like the ones in the suspension and tires.

The thing is though, While I loooooove DIY and loooove fixing (sometimes what I get is the opposite :) ) my cars, I have wrecked 4 of my intervertebral discs. First because I got too fat, second because I've been careless and finally because I'm not getting any younger so now I need real support from my tools for me to be able to keep my hobbies in sync with my health. I has to say, this may be my very first really pro battery power tool but hope is not going to be the last!!! I mean, this thing is FANTASTIC!!!

While I live in a tropical country with a very mild climate and no rust anywhere either in my 8 years Ford Explorer truck (the one in the video) or my car which is 10 years older (but good looking as the owner LoL ) this tool can handle absolutely every thing it can reach, amazingly easy... If you're in the market looking for something like this, go ahead and buy one... you won't regret.

Is this tool better than the Snap-on? I don't have a single clue but this thing sure is cheaper, strong, powerful, solid, etc... you get the point right? :)

Thank you very much for watching and for reading!!!

See you next review :)

BLACK OEM Verizon Universal Micro USB Vehicle Charger w 1 USB Port MICRDUALVPC1

BLACK OEM Verizon Universal Micro USB Vehicle Charger w 1 USB Port MICRDUALVPC1This product works well and the extra USB port is a nice added feature. I would recommend this charger over the one that Verizon sells for $20.00.

i bought this charger thinking it was a verizon charger and it does not say it. still works excellent from what i can tell so far. shipped fast and had no problems with packaging.

Purchased this car charger for my LG Cosmos 2. It works great for keeping the phone charged when I'm away from a wall socket, and the USB port keeps my iPod Touch charged as well. It feels a little rickety, so I keep it in the socket on my car rather than take it out. For the price it's done quite well so far.

wow. had a hard time getting it out of the box. Bad omen. red and yellow colors described on the box to determined charged and charging batteries did not co-inside with box description, another omen. Couldn't fly it off the ground. Bad omen.

Flew it once. Recharged it. And it hasn't flown since. Trying to figure out the problem. Not worth sending back.

Purchased other S107's and I still have them flying. Just thought this 3 channel would be awesome, which it was until ......

Probably find another company with another helo.

On a positive note, the usb plug thing hasn't fallen apart.

Have been using this ever since I got it. The blue LED battery life indicator is a great indicator when I need to recharge it. It holds it's charge for a long time. The longest I have gone is a month of not using it, and the battery was still full. I only use this to power different kind of circuit boards, so I do not use it extensively. But, I have been through about 30 cycles and it still holds it's charge well. Would highly recommend this product. It is good quality and a decent price.

Well, I just wanted to say that I wanted a cheap car charger and being retractable I figured it sounded like a good deal. I am pleased with the purchase in that it works like it should and the retractable feature is really convenient to avoid having cord clutter in the car.

Yamaha EF1000iS 1,000 Watt 50cc OHV 4-Stroke Gas Powered Portable Inverter Generator (CARB Complian

Yamaha EF1000iS 1,000 Watt 50cc OHV 4-Stroke Gas Powered Portable Inverter GeneratorI've used these with friends camping and been absolutely amazed. This model has a number of positives about it. Yamaha has produced small, reliable generators for over 15 years.

My big plusses:

1 REALLY quiet. The engine drives basically just an alternator and produces about 12V, though it varries. When there is a small load on the generator (typical of most camping / outdoor uses) it slows down the engine. This not only makes it quiet, it cuts back on fumes, and saves gas. A tank filling can last half a day easily depending on demand.

2 clean power. Because the alternator is outputting a DC voltage into a sinewave inverter your 110 VAC is comming from one of the best sources. I use inverters in many of my service vehicles, right at 1000W, and have found no situation where that was not enough power. Since the inverter tells the throttle how much power it needs, wasted noise and gas are eliminated. Basically it does not feel like the old 5000W genset on wheels.

3 light weight. Compared to taking the 5000W generator camping, the small size and light weight are a welcome change.

4 very small gasoline consumption. Unless you are running the full 1000W all the time you'll get great mileage. If you do need to run 1000W all the time, consider a larger digital inverter genset. Honda makes a 2000W which can be joined to a second 2000W for 4000 total if I recall.

5 well built engine. Although only 50cc, it has overhead valves and excellent sound isolation.

Cons:

It's not going to run EVERYTHING in your RV at the same time. If you are watching the plasma TV (400W) and turn on the microwave (1000W) the generator will shut down due to the 1400W load. Consider your loads and if you must run everything simultaneously.

Heavy loads make it spin faster and thus change the acoustic tone of the exhaust. If it's within hearing range and you turn alot of stuff on/off the noise may irritate some people.

Pros:

Put a 100 foot extension cord between you and the generator and you'll be saying "what generator" as the lights and appliances work fine for 12+ hours. It's that quiet.

1000W is enough to run your vehicle's battery charger, a good size TV, and small cooking appliances, just not at the same time. Consider the kill-a-watt wattmeter to know EXACTLY what your load is P3 International P4460 Kill A Watt EZ Electricity Usage Monitor

The previous review on this generator is correct. It is quiet and it is a very good gas saver. We use our generator for a 250 watt average load. With that load, the economy saver feature on this generator allows its 0.6 gallon tank to last a little over 12 hours!!

It is extremely quiet, just slightly louder than that of a good refridgerator.

Why the 4-star rating?

The Yamaha website doesn't appear to be too up-to-date on Yamaha Generator Service Shops. When we got our generator, it had a bad seal on it and the oil leaked out. When we looked on the Yamaha website, it showed two dealers in our area that fixed these generators. Neither one would take it. They said they stopped working on generators. I ended up having to drive over to the next town where the dealer told me that most dealers do not like to take generators unless they sold it to you themselves.

So, while I got lucky and found someone that would take it. Just be aware that you might not be so lucky. Before buying, call the dealers on the Yamaha website and ask them if they can fix a generator for you. Then you will have a better idea of what situation you are in before you buy.

Buy Yamaha EF1000iS 1,000 Watt 50cc OHV 4-Stroke Gas Powered Portable Inverter Generator (CARB Complian Now

I wanted a smaller generator than the one built into my RV to save on gas and operate quieter. this little yamaha did the trick. I use a 50 foot extension cord and run it to my rv through the window. It can power my computer, battery chargers, and small appliances on its quiet, low power setting. I barely hear when it is running on low power if it is 50 feet from the RV. Uses only 1/2 gallon of gas if i run it all day. but you do need to go to a local Yamaha dealer and get the proper oil. make sure you read the instructions for this or you will burn out the motor.

I love the size of this unit, perfect for my VW Vanagon camper.

I can't run a portlable AC unit as it doesn't have enough power output.

The oil filler dish is an interesting piece of equipment, it works.

For power where there is none I'm sure this is going to be just fine.

Its a little louder than I had hoped for.

All in all a quality piece of equipment, I would recommend this to a friend

I'm in CT and lost power for 8 days last year. I vowed never to live in colonial times again and bought this generator just to run a pellet stove and a few lights when the power goes out. I was extremely happy when my Yamaha 1000is arrived two days early, just in time for hurricane Sandie. Of course now that I have a generator we didn't lose power. I added oil and fired it up to get ready for the storm. It started on the 5th pull right out of the box, and one pull after that. It is quiet, but still loader than I expected. Then again the Hondas I have heard were at a little distance so I might be expecting too much. Get a 50 foot cord and you won't hear it. It ran my pellet stove using manual ignition with no problem, about 500W. In econ mode it varies the speed when the feed motor kicks in like it should. For fun I disconnected the stove and ran a small microwave on it, about 850W. It stumbled but didn't kick out. Probably should not run econ mode with heavy loads, but it did take the load. It won't run your whole house, but manage your loads and this generator does the job on a minimal amount of gas which gets hard to come by when there is no power. Its small size makes it easy to store too. My Yammie is now drained of gas and sleeping in its box waiting for the next outage. My neighbors can't believe we didn't lose power during Sandie. I smile, because I know the reason we didn't lose power is because I bought this generator and that we will never ever lose power again. Lucky I camp so I can use the generator in the summer.

LG Dare VX9700 Cell Phone Car Charger

LG Dare VX9700 Cell Phone Car ChargerGood product to purchase for the price. If it was more I wouldn't purchase it because the cord is not long enough and when I try to talk on the phone the cord becomes disconnected from my phone. But overall for the price it's okay.

For this price, I thought I would try it, since Verizon wanted $29.99. I am extremely pleased. The service was nearly perfect. The charger arrived in 3 days. It works. Not much else to say about a charger, but I will definitely deal with this company again for all of my accessory needs.

When I ordered this charger I thought it was too good to be true, or just impossible. The price is ridiculously low. The quality of the actual item is pretty low too, but you get what you pay for.

Works fine to charge my phone, the only problem is that the actual end that you plug into your lg Dare is a little bit too fat so you feel like you're shoving the cover for the slot way out of the way.

Bare-Tool Milwaukee 0799-20 V28 28-Volt Lithium-Ion 7/16-Inch Cordless Impact Wrench (Tool Only, N

Bare-Tool Milwaukee 0799-20 V28 28-Volt Lithium-Ion 7/16-Inch Cordless Impact WrenchThis is super heavy duty. It has more power than coorded versions.. I think because the technology is modern, it's machined with greater precision. It is quite heavy, heavier than a coorded tool.

This can take off lug nuts of semi-trucks.

Note that the chuck is a quick change hex. That means you will need an adapter to use standard sockets to remove lug nuts.

This is essentially an impact wrench that has been re-tooled for self feed bit and auger bit drilling into things like telephone poles, railroad ties, and walls of buildings. With a normal drill, when a large bit like that gets bound up, the drill will just keep turning and you can literally break your wrist. With this, the impact is absorbed by the hammer/anvil of the drill.

28v batteries last a very long time in this drill. This drill is also a heavier duty commercial grade big brother to the 18v version, it's not just the battery size that is different. The entire tool is beefed up.

It can drill massively wide and deep holes, it can remove nuts. It is heavy duty. And the battery will last forever. If you are in the market for this type of tool, then this is the one to get.

Downside.. not compatible with 18v systems.

Hope that helps!

When I originally became aware of this tool, I asked my contractor friends, what's it good for. The answer seemed to be: 'Not much.' But obviously, someone went to a lot of trouble engineering this, so probably that answer was wrong. A quick call to Milwaukee customer service helped somewhat: 'The phone company uses them with our augers to drill telephone polls.' Well, still no reason for me to own one. Then I figured it out, the standard arbors on their larger hole saws fit this thing, then with the impact drive, you can cut holes in about anything in no time at all. So I broke down and bought one. I give it four stars because customer service doesn't know what it's for.
