Retractable Auto Rapid Car Charger with Ic Chip for RIM Blackberry 9500 9530 Storm Thunder, Pearl F

Update 12/1/2011: I had to replace this charger with another one and have tried a different brand this time. The micro USB adapter became detached from the cord. It wears out from pulling the cord out and this seems to be the weakest point for any of these types of chargers. Although, it's been awhile since I purchased this product, I only used it on weekends when traveling so if you plan on using this more often or even daily be careful to not tug the cord out using the micro USB adapter but wiggle down to the cord itself and pull it out that way. You'll probably get more mileage out of it by pulling it out this way and that's what I'm doing with the different charger that I ordered just to play it safe.Good product, a little cheap in quality but functions perfect. All in all good product.Love the features. Retractable cord means no mess in the car. Blue led indicates it is on. Expanded reception when plugged in.My bberry car chargers typically last a couple of months at most. This one has been going strong for 6 mos, and the retractable cord is convenient. This is a great car charger for my Blackberry Storm. I was a little weary of getting a retractable charger, since I didn't want it to stop retracting. I have not that problem at all it has retracted everytime.
It is rather quick to recharge.
It is nice and compact.

UPG D5779 UB1280-F2 Universal Lead Acid Battery

Buy UPG D5779 UB1280-F2 Universal Lead Acid Battery Now
Product arrived exactly a week after ordered via UPS. The shipping material was very professional, using thick box and peanuts with all the caution on the box label for the mail handler. I don't know who the credit should go to, ITL or UPG? ITL is the middle-man, and the shipment came directly from UPG and shipped within one day (according to UPS tracking). The processing between Amazon, ITL and UPG took a week. The product was shipped directly from a local UPG warehouse (locally to where I live), which made the packaging very professional and shipment fast. The battery does have larger terminals than the older one I had, but no worries for me. I just replaced the existing lugs and crimped on the right size. But, this could be troublesome for others who do not have the right tools, materials, and skills to do this.
The battery appears brand new and fully charged. My alarm LED went away as soon as I replaced it with this battery. I would say, I give credit for ITL for selecting the manufacturer (UPG) directly and not another reseller or distributor that could have shipped me a battery that has been laying on the shelf for years.

This is a great battery, very powerful, I use it as a backup for my home alarm system. The battery arrived in less than a week with free shipping from Amazon, like any new battery, this one was not fully charge (depending on how long has been sitting on the shelf), however it took less than 12 hours for it to be fully charged by my alarm system.Want UPG D5779 UB1280-F2 Universal Lead Acid Battery Discount?
Purchased Oct 6 (along with other batteries for other UPSs all for computers). This one died Nov 9th.Update Nov 16th: This is awkward. I ordered another 1280 (from a different company) and the UPS is still dead (which I've never had happen to me). I apologize to eComElectronics and change my rating from 1 to 5 (the 'Dead' in the title refers to the UPS, not the battery).

Tripp Lite PV150 Portable Auto Inverter 150W 12V DC to AC 120V 5-15R 1 Outlet

We've used this with a variety of cell phone/ipod/handheld game chargers and so far haven't experienced any problems.

I have used this inverter in my work van for 3 years. I use it daily (yes, daily!!) to power my DeWatt, Hitashi, Ryobi, 18 volt battery chargers and occasionally my drill doctor, etc. I plan to buy another inverter to run my bedroom 42" lcd tv (200 watts) in an emergency and I will buy this exact same product again. It is slightly noisy(mild whine at best) but that is not a factor for emergencey power. I blew the fuse only once when I overloaded the device and I knew better, but I had to push the limit to learn. Do buy this product, but do plan on spending another well spent $45 dollars on battery cables and clamps, etc. The cig lighter connector is just a convenience and not able to pull the full 375 watts. I spent plenty for twin copper #10 wire and pricy connectors to mount this bad boy inside my van. But it remains the best bang for the buck device. You must pay the extra for heavy amp wireing to your truck battery. Get wise, buy this, then spend again for 12 volt supply wireing and you will never be sorry, and always have power!Excellent design! After much research, I purchased this item and have used it extensively for the past couple months. So far, nothing negative to report. Many reviews commented on how loud the fan was but I barely heard it at all. Nor did it get too warm. It's pretty basic mechanically, so I assume it's as dependable as any other inverter. If you're not sure what size to get, always be on the safe side and GO LARGE! Tripp Lite makes them in various sizes.Want Tripp Lite PV150 Portable Auto Inverter 150W 12V DC to AC 120V 5-15R 1 Outlet Discount?
I bought this item for putting in our minivan in case we needed it on long trips to recharge a laptop, provide power to a DVD player, among other things. It has always worked with no issues. When the car battery starts to get low, it shuts off thus saving us a jumpstart. You can hear it, but not above any road or radio noise. All around a decent product.Friday, September 12, 2014

Cobra CPI1000 1000W 12V DC to 120V AC Power Inverter with USB Port

- 1000 watts continuous power with 2000 watts peak power
- 5 volt USB output for running and charging your electronic devices
- Direct-to-battery cables included
- 2 AC outlets
- Heavy duty construction capable of handling multiple loads
I picked this one for it's power and voltage display. It allows me to estimate the battery draw so I have an idea how long it will last. I also liked the USB power source, although I have not used that yet.
It does come with nice HEAVY power leads (with clips), although they are very short. Good enough to set right next to a battery and clamp on.
So far, no complaints or problems.

I have these in all 4 of my company's vans to run heavy duty continuous use machines. My old inverters would pop and I would have to turn them off and back on. If these surge it resets itself within less than a second and keeps on truckin. I had to install a solenoid for them to work correctly (my mechanic advised me to do that, I dont know the technicalities) because without the solenoid it wasn't drawing enough power. I have been very impressed with the quality and price of these and will continue to buy them.Read Best Reviews of Cobra CPI1000 1000W 12V DC to 120V AC Power Inverter with USB Port Here

My first review of this product was not a kind one. I could not use a toaster or coffee pot with this device and chastised cobra for over stating the wattage capabilities. After many hours of work and upgrading to another bigger one with the same results, I wanted to rewrite my review. If you take this inverter or the bigger one, and put it right at the battery with the supplied clamps, it WILL deliver a strong output and make a pot of coffee with a normal toaster. Keep in mind a toaster and a coffee pot are pretty much a direct-short to a power supply since they are heating elements. There is no more difficult task for an inverter to do! Vacuum cleaners, all those things are easy compared to heating element type appliances. Anyway, back to installation. If you have the device RIGHT at the battery it will deliver as promised since there is a short wire and no voltage loss.BUT when I installed it under the seat of my RV with a top of the line amp install kit about 12 feet away, it did NOT deliver. It would beep and shut down. Even with the 100% copper wire, oxygen free stuff I used, it had voltage drop to make the inverter go below the magic level that makes it freak out. In my installation, I could NOT mount the inverter at the battery--there was not enough room. So long story short I put a second battery under the seat of the RV next to the inverter/ this battery only drives the inverter. Problem solved. works like a charm, but I would invest in the bigger one-if you can afford it. The voltage drop in the wire is very real issue. I am in the car electronics business and sell such things and it even amazed me and my co workers .
The bad thing to keep in mind, is that all of these converters have a cooling fan. You will hear this loud whirring noise while it runs. The fan has two speeds. If your car is running and it gets enough voltage the fan goes at low speed. BUT if your car is not running the fan is in high speed. Keep this in mind, you WILL hear this and it may make watching TV annoying. Install the inverter accordingly.
You do get what you pay for in inverters. If you were to step up to the more expensive brands of inverters that boast "sine wave" and "noise filtering" You will pay $400 or more and I bet they have less issue with voltage drop. But hey, you have to live within your budget.Tried several others before this one. main reason for purchase was for a PS3. Once I bought this one the PS3 worked... One caution though. If you use the old PS3 (fat one game play 200watts) the power required will or might give you feed back through the speakers in the form of a hiss. I purchased the newer skinner PS3(only 100 watts) and it was quite. Also I have seen several people use the 800 watt one and there are small lines of distortion from the alternator. This has an extra grounding terminal for chassis ground(below large ground) that seems to clear up this problem... Great product

Schumacher BT-100 100 amp Battery Load Tester

A carbon pile load tester works by applying a calibrated load to the battery (the load is essentially a large carbon resistor that heats up when voltage is applied).
To properly test using this method, the battery must be at least 75% charged. A good battery should be able to supply half its cold cranking amps (CCA) rating for 15 seconds without dropping below 9.5 volts (if you want to test batteries that are not fully charged you'll need to purchase an electronic tester which tests by measuring the internal resistance of the battery.)
IMPORTANT NOTE: This unit (by design) will get hot and might initially produce some smoke if there is any foreign matter on the resistor element.
*** UPDATE: The rocker switch on my unit MELTED rendering the tester useless ***Remember, this unit is a carbon pile testerin other words, uses a thick carbon resistor to apply a heavy load across the battery terminals to load test the battery. Works flawlessly from the first, and I use this unit daily in my lawnmower shop it is a huge time-saver over "test by elimination" methods, and has successfully tested several dozen batteries and going strong. As long as unit is maintained (keep it clean and in a toolbox where dust won't settle on the carbon resistors) you'll be happy to have this unit in your shop. If you leave it out or splatter oil on it, obviously it will smoke as the debris burns off from the hot carbon pile resistor.
It does not test a discharged battery (but if a 12V battery does not have 12 volts, even after charging, it's obviously bad) but a quick charge from a charger and a quick, very brief load test to burn off surface charge easily lets me know whether to continue charging the battery or condemn it right away.
For a small shop that does not need the advanced features of a resistance circuit computerized battery tester, this unit is well worth the investment. (we use different procedures for charging system testing, depending on the equipment being serviced, so it is not always possible to test these charging systems we work with with an advanced computerized unit, so.. )
Only complaint I have with this unit is the cables are maybe a little short, and quite stiff. It'd be nicer if the cables at least had more flexibility to them, or were about 6 to 10 inches longer some places it is a little clumsy to hook it on to the battery, while holding up the tractor seat at the same time, and other places the battery is slightly recessed. smaller clamps to fit in tight spots, and more flexible cables, and this unit would be *perfection*

Besides checking batteries on my car and truck I have several other deep cycle batteries for RV and other purposes. This unit provides an easy and quick way to know if the batteries are healthy and expected to last awhile. Yes, the tester did smoke slightly during it's first use, but it's expected to 'burn in' when new, like a muffler on a new car. The BT-100 looks and feels like a quality piece of equipment, is handy to have around and a good buy from Amazon.Read Best Reviews of Schumacher BT-100 100 amp Battery Load Tester Here
I purchased one of these from Amazon about a month ago. My issue...I have an on-board battery charger in my bass boat, so I simply plug in from a remote plug and end up not checking/maintaining my three boat batteries as often as I should. So, when I went to use the boat the first time this year, I did check the water level in my starting battery and found it low (below the top of the plates). I had charged it to put away last year, but wasn't sure if I should trust it this year. So I ordered this, followed the instructions to load test the battery, and found it good. Without this, I would have probably just bought a new battery "to be safe". So save one battery. I have also used it to test the JD lawn tractor battery, the battery for my wood splitter, my trolling motor batteries, and both my vehicle batteries. I also keep a couple spare 12v batteries. One tested bad, so I could dispose of that, otherwise I may have just had that sitting around and kept trying to keep it periodically topped off with a 2A trickle charger. So, I figure it has already paid for itself, and I'm a light user. Now my brother can check his batteries too. Yes, I recommend!

the only bad i wish the cables were a foot longer, but only in some instances.

Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 Motorcycle Covers w/ Lock & Cable

As other reviewers have pointed out, it does seem fairly thin, but that's the downside to packing into such a small package, and being so light. I wouldn't use it for offseason storage outside, but for covering the bike while parked downtown, or to keep the dust off while in my garage, it's perfect.

I purchased this to replace the one that came with my DVD player. The one that came with the player broke relatively quick and initially I thought it was the player itself. After some research, I was told to replace the adapter and this one works great.I went to radio shack and asked for this cord but the best they could come up with was giving me a single one then splitting it myself. My son ruined the one that came standard with our dvd player for the car by tripping on it and pulling the cord out so this is all we needed. It was a quick, easy, and cheap find. Thanks so much!We had to replace the old power cord that had been broken. This power cord is great it is exactly like the old one our Grandkids can watch movies as we drive. Life saver. The cord is very sturdy, and it is nice and long to reach both dvd players in the back seat of the car.Friday, May 2, 2014

Datexx Super Battery Dynamo Cell Phone Charger

Will it charge? Well I hooked my iphone up to the Super Battery, and cranked it for half-an-hour (a painful half-an-hour). According to my multimeter, my battery gained about 3% from the effort. So, that's probably not a good thing for the hand cranking option. As for the built in battery, it's only rated at about 1700mAh. The technical specs says it has a single AA rechargable battery inside. ???? There are a multitude of good quality, low-priced AA rechargables on the market with upwards of 2950mAh per battery. Why choose such a small capacity?
I'm getting ready to crack the Super Battery open and see if I can change the battery and/or add another. If there's room I should be able to increase storage capacity to 5000-6000mAh. That would make it much, much more usefull. After charging this unit up overnight, I plugged the USB adapter to my Motorola Razr v3xx and it did not show a charge light on the phone.
I started cranking the handle and found at slow speed, the phone would show a charge light, if I went too fast, the charge light would go back off.
So if you can be very patient cranking this device while watching the phones charge light to be on, it can work for your Razr v3xx.
Other phones and devices may work with this device

Husky Liners Custom Fit WeatherBeater Molded Front and Second Seat Floor Liner Set for Select Chrys

The fit is perfect with total coverage and they seem like a very high quality product. No nasty rubber smell like with the cheapos I bought last year and they look great.I have been looking at many different floor mats for winter/fall use in my new 11 Charger (any car and truck for that matter). These were by far the best. They are more like floor pans, not floor mats. They cover almost all carpet that can come in contact with your feet. The are custom fitted to perfectly fit the floor of your car. If you're in the market for winter mats I HIGHLY recommend these. I will be keeping them in all year except for the summer months. In SPring I will just put my factory floor mats inside of them. GREAT PRODUCT!!!!

Soundfly-i Ultimate iPad / iPhone 4s, 4, iPod Auto-scan Fm Transmitter Charger with RDS & Remote Co

- Remote features: Album shift Up & Down - Fast Forward & Rewind - Repetition of defined Section- Shuffle - Bookmarking
- ID3-tag information via RDS: View iPod/iPhone song information on your compatible radio display.
From this, I think I know why the transmitter is so weak. Apparently, this unit originally did not comply with FCC regulations and probably was a very strong transmitter that could do the full FM frequency. At some point, apparently very recently, the FCC probably forced Satechi to remedy this and now it can no longer do 87.6-88.0 and no longer broadcast a signal powerful enough to be received from more than 6 yards out as the FCC requires.
If you look at reviews on Amazon, you'll notice the FM transmitters made by companies you've never heard of all get the high 5 star reviews while the ones made by big name brands (like Monster and Belkin) get absolutely trashed in the reviews. This is because ANY FM transmitter that actually complies with FCC regulations is garbage in a large city with heavy airwave saturation. The cheap chinese ones rarely comply with these regulations cause they constantly change brand names, anyways. The bigger players usually do play the by the rules and their products suffer as a result.
In this case, I suspect Satechi has recently been forced to start playing by the rules based on the transmitter I received. The weak signal and newly restricted (at least it appears to be a new change) frequency range are dead giveaways of this.
Sadly, that makes the unit hard to recommend. It's not Satechi's fault, but this transmitter just sucks in terms of signal strength (which means static *all* the time and an inability to broadcast "over" another signal if you can't find an empty frequency). Great design, but unless you live out in the middle of nowhere you probably won't be able to hear your music without static.I love my Satechi FM tuner with presets!! I had an older tuner that I hated because of the cord, limited and unchangeable FM stations, and incompatibility with the new iPhone and iPod Touch. I was ready to "iPod" my car for $300 because I had such a bad experience with my tuner but I decided to buy the Satechi gadget as a last ditch effort to save money.
I live in LA and have an iPhone 3G and first generation iPod Touch the Satechi works on both without any errors (and charges them both, too!!). Save yourself some trouble and do a search for the best "free" fm channel in your area. Then, make sure the tuner is flush against your phone or iPod. If its not flush, it'll pop out very easily (so yes, that means taking off the case for many of you). Once you are synced to the right channel, the sound is great! The only time I get static is if I go into a garage or if I'm travelling outside my station's zone (then I just switch channels).
To top it off, I just took a road trip from LA to SF. This tuner made my trip so much more enjoyable! I was able to hold a couple stations for hours and it only started getting static-y around Tracy but I think its just because the signals aren't strong here (happened with my last tuner but it sounded much much worse).
PS... be realistic... this is an FM tuner so you WILL get some static once in a while and the sound will NOT be CD-crystal-clear quality. But for the price, this gadget is amazing. Wireless, small, and just what I need to listen to podcasts in my car! Thanks, Satechi!!I am really impressed with this unit. It is so small and does a great job as FM transmitters go. The customer service was excellent. I honestly can't even believe how good it was. I bought a Satechi FM transmitter with a suction cup through Amazon and there was a problem with the adapter not fully snapping into the unit. I was too lazy to try to return it and since it worked pretty well anyway, I didn't bother making a complaint. After about a month and a half, I figured I would try a little more pressure to press the adapter into the unit. Bad idea! I broke it. I could still charge my iphone 3g, but I could only get FM if the iphone was upside down! I figured I would call Satechi just to see if I might be able to make a case for a replacement even though I was past the warranty period. I didn't need to make a case. Someone answered the phone immediately and I was offered to have a new suction cup mount sent or to try the new tiny FM transmitter I am reviewing now. No questions. No charges to my card. Nothing. And, I didn't even have to send back the suction cup transmitter first, which was great because I kind of got used to being able to charge my iphone in the car. The only issue is that the suction cup mount cost more and I am only getting store credit for the difference. I don't see myself needing anything else that this company makes.Great product and easy to use, although when using with Pandora on iPhone 3G, I often get the digital phone interference which can be quite loud over the stereo speakers. You can probably eliminate this by putting phone in Airplane mode, but then you can't use Pandora or receive calls or e-mails. Not sure how Satechi could prevent this, but it has been annoying enough for my wife to ask me to just turn it off or use iPod instead.I received this unit yesterday and it is being used with an iPhone 3GS in a 2001 Mercedes CLK 320 convertible, with no AUX input, hence the need for the FM transmitter. The unit worked well right out of the package. Despite what some other reviewers have written, the unit (and my car radio) could both be tuned to 87.9 MHz, and that's where I've been using it. It is important for all users to realize that the sound quality is going to be somewhat degraded because digital audio quality is lost since the music is getting to the radio via the FM transmitter, so the frequency range is standard FM quality (20-20KHz). Music sounds like it's coming from a radio station, and not a CD player. So it's good, but not crisp and sharp like from a CD or MP3 player.
I have not played with all of the functions of the remote, and the range seems to be only a few inches. I will replace the battery in the remote to see if that helps; I haven't drilled into the user manual, but will do that over the weekend.
One negative, and this seems to come either from default settings or from the fact that I am not doing something right, but once you plug your iPhone into the dock, it automatically starts playing the first song in your stored songs listed in alphabetical order. So, I've been hearing a lot more of Elvis Costello ("Accidents Will Happen") than I'd like, as I have to fumble to get my songs where I want them to start. There is a bit of fumbling with the phone once it's plugged in to get to the track wanted, as it seems harder to get to album or song settings, but these are minor nits, and again, I haven't mastered this to the fullest.
Final verdict: this is the second FM transmitter device that I've purchased (the first, a Belkin unit, was crap and went back the next day) and I am quite happy with it. There are many FM stations on air here in the Bay Area, and it seems to hold its own set at 87.9. Additionally, there seems to be a filter in place that limits the hiss of the radio at this frequency, which makes the music a bit more clear. I am happy with it, and feel that $50 for the unit with remote plus shipping is a very fair value for the money.
