Campbell Hausfeld CC 2300 Portable Inflator

It will probably last longer if you follow the instructions. It's apparently a lead-acid battery and should always be recharged before it gets too low, which I did not do.
According to the manual, the battery has enough juice to completely inflate 8 car tires or run an 8 watt TV for 14 hours. Max output is 15 amps @ 12 volts.
Shop around. An orange logo home improvement place sells these for a good price.
PROs:
The CC2300 is perfect for tires.
The built-in pressure gauge and clip-on inflation hose make tire inflation a breeze.
You're going to waste money on gas unless maintaining your tire pressure is real fast and easy. This unit makes it real fast and easy.
It's compact. It has little compartments for all the accessories (charger, hose, 12 volt cord, extra fuse, etc.)
The switches and indicator lights are clear, sensible and ergonomic. The handle, and everything about it is to like.
The cigarette lighter socket lets you use it as a 12 volt power supply, and also lets you recharge the unit from your car's cigarette lighter. (I never used these features.)
CONs:
It has very low air volume for air mattresses or large beach toys. I wish they had doubled the air volume and maxed the pressure at 115 PSI instead of 230 PSI.
The pressure gauge reads about 4 lbs too high. Need to compensate.
It's "household quality" not industrial quality. One of the little compartment covers broke the first day I had it.
Strangely, you are not supposed to use it while plugged in to 110 volt AC. This review is based on my using this product only a few times so I can't comment on its longevity or holding a long-term charge. I bought this because (1) I am too lazy to go to the gas station to put air in the tires and many gas stations don't even have air hoses anymore anyway, or else they charge you for air; and (2) by the time you get to the station the tires have warmed up and the pressure isn't accurate anymore.
The build quality of the unit is satisfactory. Everything is clearly labeled and the instructions are brief but clear. The hose and accessories fit tightly in the compartments provided and there isn't room for anything else in there.
I charged it overnight, hooked the air hose to my car tire and turned it on. It is pretty noisy and the air fills rather slowly but then this isn't an expensive compressor so I don't think it is realistic to expect anything more. It took about 30 seconds to add two pounds of air. The air hose made a tight clamp on the tire valve and the embedded tire gauge is adequate although it is best to use a more detailed gauge since the supplied one does not have marks for each pound of pressure, only in increments of 10 pounds. I noticed that the reading per the embedded gauge matched my separate tire gauge, however (which is also made by Cambell Hausfeld so maybe they're in cahoots with each other).
All in all, so far I am glad I bought this because it is much easier to add air in my garage instead of driving to the station. I just hope this thing lasts, which based on how it has performed so far, it should do the job for a while.
Note: I am adding this on July 31 after having used the unit for a while. It still works like I wrote above, but I find that it doesn't take that long for the yellow indicator light to come on telling you it needs to be recharged again. I'd say it lasts long enough to check the tires on two cars as long as none of the tires needs a lot of air (like maybe 2-3 lbs per tire at the most). However, you can always plug it into the cigarette lighter and use it and then you don't have to worry about the battery drain.
Well now I am adding something again on September 30. I've found this unit really does not keep a charge very long at all and the yellow light comes on before you can even finish with the 1st tire. If you plug it into the cigarette lighter outlet then it works fine (make sure the motor is running so you don't drain the battery) but otherwise, don't depend on this to provide air in the case of an emergency.

Purchased to replace portable air tank. I used it three times [two bicycle tires and partial inflation of car tire to 36 psi] over a period of approximately six months.Attempted to inflate a water device and battery indicator was 'Low' after 3-5 minutes. After charging for four days, it still reads 'Low' and strange noises coming from the case but not enough air to inflate volleyball!

I bought this 4 months ago to replace a Campbell Hausfeld air compressor with almost 20 years of service. My old compressor used 12V DC current only (cigarette lighter)and this one has a built in battery. The battery is of little use to me because it won't hold a decent charge; it never really has despite charging according to directions. I charged it overnight for use this morning. The charge inflated the tire from 19 psi to 23 psi before going dead.....4 measly pounds on a "fully" charged battery. The tire size is 235 65 17, so not a small tire by any means, but 4 pounds?? I used the cigarette lighter cord to finish the inflation to 32 psi.Sturdy construction, adequate length hose to reach valve stems at their highest point, fairly quick inflation compared to my old compressor. Storage area for cords WAY too small, expect to do some serious stuffing to fit these back into the storage space once they're unraveled....or you may even give up after a few minutes.
This is perfect for bicycle tires using only the internal battery. But, expect to use the cigarette lighter cord if you plan on inflating auto tires.
It's just frustrating when you expect a product to perform as you thought was advertised. Except for the small storage space, I would have absolutely no complaints on this product if it DIDN'T have the internal battery to begin with. But since it does, it should at least hold a charge enough to inflate a set of tires that are each a few pounds low. Ok, even 2 tires each a few pounds low would be borderline acceptable....but a single tire 4 pounds on a "fully" charged battery....not acceptable. I have had two of these. The first overheated and burned out. The 2nd one when fairly new somehow jammed the piston at exact top and wouldn't turn. It kept blowing fuses. I took apart and moved by hand but when put back together it couldn't get pressure over 30 lbs. The air volume is very low too. I'm now shopping for a 110 volt unit with more air volume.

Instapark® NEW All Black 50W Mono-crystalline Solar Panel

P.S. Pure sine wave inverters are also 3x more expensive than modified sine wave inverters. Modified sine wave inverters can do most of the jobs pure sine wave inverters do. I didn't mention this in the video but most of the times, deep cycle and marine batteries have 2 rectangular caps, look in the video closely, you have to put distilled water or drinkable water(it's okay), and fill it up until about 1 inch below the opening of the holes. Check these water levels about once every 3 days(recommended). Just take the caps off to put the water in if needed. Also, charge controllers are heavily recommended if you use a solar panel greater than 10 to 15 watts. Mono-crystalliine and poly-crystalliine solar panels are recommended, amorphous panels are not recommended because they're not efficient as the other two types of panels and they generally last shorter than the other two. You can buy a smaller inverter, smaller controller, smaller battery, smaller panels or larger of them depending on your needs.Yesterday we hooked up our solar panel. It works great!! We hooked it up with a 10 Amp charge controller. This panel is keeping our 5th wheel powered up great. It charges even when the sun is not directly on it which is nice. We hooked it all into our electrical system and it started charging immediately. This panel does NOT come with the connecters as shown in the pictures so be ready to crimp your wires. Also ours did come with the positive and negative wires marked. If we add another panel then we will get a 30 Amp charge controller for a better charge to our batteries. I am glad that we had a friend that used to work in the solar industry explain that to us. But for now we are just going to add another battery and we should be good. Maybe next month we will add another panel. This seems to be built well, nice and heavy construction. Not a wimpy piece of junk. Great value for the price. If I had it to do over again I would order this panel. It showed up in perfect condition. Shipping was quick and it was packed nicely with styrofoam padding all of the way around it. No problems there.

This panel works well. Even in a very overcast day, I still get good voltage and decent amperage from it.The only downside, which is why I only gave it 3 starts, is that the factory cable did not have any connectors on it as the description mentioned. It simply had a cable with the ends slightly stripped back, and the penetrations into the J-Box can not make a good seal with the factory cable. This is not a big deal for me as I was planning on making my own wiring harness anyway.

My panel came with the MC4 connectors attached unlike previously reviewed by others. The output value of amps and voltage are within the specified range advertised. This panel keeps my 2 deep cycle RV batteries charged while using inside lights and 24-7 refrigerator. I don't use much else in my week-end retreat and I no longer have to use a generator to charge my batteries. I had a smaller 10Watt unit but it never did the job. I now only use my generator to watch TV or run the microwave or power tools as I have no inverter and this unit is really for charging and maintaining batteries and very small amp/hr applications. Mine sits flat on my roof with no permanent attachments and stays put. I have unimpeded sun exposure all day and never adjust the panel direction. The cable is only 3 ft and you will need to add cable remembering you need a MC4 attachment on the extension or cut and rewire the connections. I suggest a good, not the cheapest, 10 amp charge controller in case you wish to add more panels to this application and prevent overcharging of batteries. The unit does not have holes in the frame for the two cables and must be drilled if you use a flat surface mounting and route the cables from under the frame. Most of the issues mentioned in other older dated revues have been addressed and the cables are clearly and correctly marked with positive and negative tags.Want Instapark® NEW All Black 50W Mono-crystalline Solar Panel Discount?
I received this solar panel today and the first thing I noticed is that there are no MC-4 connectors included. The second thing is that unlike the images describe, the two wires are part of the same wire "assembly" and stripped from that assembly before going into the panel, removing any weather protection they might have had. Also, since the wires are so incredibly small, no seal can be created where they go into the weatherproof box on the back of the panel. We'll find out in the next couple of weeks if this puts out anything around 50 watts and update the review as appropriate. If so, it will still be a good deal compared to some other 45 watt poly-crystalline panel kits that cost a bunch more.
Update 02/15/2012: Using my Watts-Up meter here in the winter I am 25-40 watts in the sun. I re-soldered some nice 12 AWG wire into the connector box with PowerPoles on the ends and will probably buy another one of these this summer to add.
I'm using a CirKits SCC3 solar charge controller connected to a Duracell Powerpack 600 and the solar panel is definitely doing a good job keeping it charged up.

Received this item fine, the All Power America APG3004D 1,200 watt 2 stroke gas powered generator. I could not start this, husband had a lot of trouble getting it to start. Once it started it ran very rough, we let it run for a time and tried to turn on a simple fan would not start. Husband is very good with mechanics and turned it off, looked it over and gave it another try. Fan still would not run. Called the company All-Power and they said I could return it no problem. I had to send an email with proof of purchase. First email I sent was not good enough, the proof had to be an attachment not a copy. Resent email and got confirmation it was ok that I would get a return authorization within 8-10 business days. Day eight I called and the rep was rude and told me that since I didn't purchase directly through them (bought at Amazon) that it would take however long it took, she repeated 8-10 business days. On day 10 I still had not received an email and called, all I was able to get was the company's main voicemail and left a message. Day 11, still no response and called, again I had to leave a message 3 days later and I still have not received ANY communications from AP. I have turned this over to the BBB and Amazon to help. Amazon is accepting my return for refund THANK YOU AMAZON!!! I will highly recommend that you NOT purchase anything from All-Power, check out the BBB before you do I did not and would not have if I had read the past problems others have had. Hope this helps you make a better informed decision.Wednesday, August 6, 2014

- Features include channel scan, call alert, eVOX, auto squelch for crystal-clear communications
- Channel scan automatically checks all channels for activity, stopping on any active channels
- Tough, water-resistant construction for outdoor use; three-year warranty
I just picked these up over the 4th of July sale Ace Hardware had. Originally selling of $14. each, they had on special with a $10. rebate by mail check each. So for a final investment I thought I could not go wrong for $4. each! They are a bit larger that the pair of Uniden [5 yrs. old] GMR 325-2's that I already own. They take the same batteries AAA x 3 as the older ones. The clip seems nice and sturdy, the battery covers are a bit tricky to get off but I'm hoping they loosen a bit with age. One nice thing is that the pre-programmed channels [22] all have freq's that match the Unidens, I was not expecting this & very happy. So now I have four radios that work togather for a total investment of about $25!!! We mostly use on family/friend outings. Hoping these are better on battery use than the Unidens, we will see. FYI the screen is NOT backlit like the photo shows. It is a light grey [unlit] with bold black numbers. Not especially helpful in low-light/night situations. I will post additional comments as we use further.

This product working very good and sounds very clear for me. For my experience I found these two Midland and Uniden brands are best over all other brands: easy to use, battery last longer, and voice sound better. My battery life last longer on this brand name in compare to AudioVox, Motorola and Cobra brand. I like very much...and I bought a pair and then 2 months later bought another pair of (Midland GXT1050VP4 36-Mile 50-Channel) with higher mile range. The radios work just fine for a short distance. The vox , auto talk works on voice activation, but be careful what you say and remember it is on, because phone rings , talking on the phone, dog barking or any other slight noise will activate it. Tried these up to 5 miles in the country setting and would not work, but if you are closer they work just fine.Want Midland LXT114 22-Channel 18-Mile FRS/GMRS Two-Way Radio (Pair) Discount?
This radios don't work as good as they're advertise. As a matter of fact they don't even come close. The manufacturer says that if you are in a flat area with no obstructions, that they can reach up to 18 miles. Well
I live in the country wich is the best place to test these because there's no interference and a quarter of a mile was all
I got from them. I bought these to keep in touch with my kids in a cruise and that was even worse.
If we weren't in the same floor we couldn't copy each other.I own a smaller theatrical lighting and sound company and find that these radios work great as crew radios. We add the behind the ear boom headset and 3 triple A batteries and we are working the show! Nice strong clip too. And the clip is removable (I carry my radio in a shirt pocket. The keys a lockable (no VOX by mistake) and the batteries last a long time. They have great range indoors in a theatre(lots of concrete and steel) and are better outside. They have GMRS capabilities (I do have a license) but we have found we didn't need the GMRS side (at least not yet). They work out great for crew as they are small and light. They do not have privacy codes but We haven't needed that feature and radios that do are fully compatible. If we are on channel 1 the other radios are on 1 0 (channel 1 privacy code zero ) and all is well. I have also found that with fewer features, the less experienced (with radios) are not intimidated as there's only a couple of things to learn (on-off and push-to-talk) and they are trained users. I have owned numerous pairs of these Midland radios (they used to be at walmart!) and have supplied them to a couple of local performance groups also. (Probaly owned 20 pairs at one point so I guess I like them alot!!)

Schumacher PC-6 120AC to 6A 12V DC Power Converter

This converter works fine and gave new life to an old car stereo in my grandparents garage. Yes, like the other reviewer mentioned, this adapter is only rated for 6 amps rather than 10, but the description has been fixed now. The converter doesn't run hot while in use and the green power LED is a nice touch. However, I think that the build quality could be somewhat better, the top and bottom of the casing is warped pretty noticeably.
Update -
About a year or so after I wrote this review, I replaced the incandescent lights in my grandparents garage with fluorescent lamps. Unfortunately, whenever I would turn on the new lights, the car radio that was being powered by this converter would pick up interference from the fluorescent lamps. It would completely overpower any FM or AM station, and could even be heard when playing a CD or when using the auxiliary input. It seems this converter has very poor or no filtering. I have since switched to a Pyramid PS15KX 10A 13.8-Volt Power Supply with Cigarette Lighter Adapter, which does a great job at filtering interference and outputs more power as well. However, considering the extra expense, bulk, and heat output the Pyramid offers, I would still recommend this converter to someone who will not be powering any devices that are susceptible to RF interference.

This AC/DC Power Converter is powerful. When I attached my Bell Inflation Station Air Compressor it had a lot of power. It gives the same power as when I had the Air Compressor plugged in the cigarette lighter of the car. I tested by inflating the electric scooter tires & it was done in seconds! I also have a bicycle and I already know that this will work as good! So handy and now I don't have to go to the gas station for Air in my tires. I'm very pleased. I also got this package in 5 days! It shipped a few hours from when I ordered. And I live OVERSEAS!!! in a military instillation but that is still super fast shipment. I highly recommend! Very good Power Supply for Kooltron Thermoelectric cooler application. It Runs cooler than the usual 5 vdc supplies and provides enough current for the cooler. Much bulkier than the normal 5vdc units but should last longer due to the cooler operation.Monday, May 19, 2014
Sealed Lead Acid Battery Charger UPG D1724

12V sealed lead-acid batteries of the type used in many house alarms are pretty expensive. Fortunately, they are rechargeable. This charger only costs about 1/4 to 1/3 of the price of a new battery.
I let it charge during a weekend for a total of about 12-16 hours. I don't recommend leaving things like this charging while you're away from home or asleep, just in case.
No more beeping, so it seems to have worked. The charger does NOT have an LED light or other feature to indicate that it is "on" or whether in fact it is "done" charging.

This charger works fine -my only gripe is that I wish it had some sort of indicator light to tell you that it's working, or that it's charging. You know, a red light while the battery is charging, a green light when it's done. Other than that, it's fine.Read Best Reviews of Sealed Lead Acid Battery Charger UPG D1724 Here
This item should be listed as I have, because it will charge only small batteries, (lawn Tractor, or such items) that have loss their charge over a long period, as is common with lead acid batteries. It will maintain batteries that sit idle over the winter, and recharge small like batteries, if the discharge was do to idle periods. If your battery, "dies" after only a few days replace it, as it more than likely has a bad cell(shorted) and you will ruin these chargers, as they will put out the max they can and eventually "burn" up, do to excess heat. They can be used on large batteries that are in good shape,to "Maintain" the charge. Don't confuse these units for a full size battery charger, they charge at 4-10 AMPS, this unit only puts out Milli amps.I'm not sure what product the other reviewers are referring to. But my charger did not have any instructions or indicator lights. I'm not even sure the thing works. I bought it to recharge a 12 volt sealed lead acid battery for my alarm system. It never charged the battery. There was no indication or instructions or any other way to tell whether there was even power going to the charger. I feel as if I wasted my money and time. This wire kit was just what I needed to get my Cobra Radar Detector up out of the way on my windshield. I now have mine mounted just to the right of the rearview mirror. I didn't want to cut the original power cord so I can still use it in another vehicle. The kit wire is very thin and easy to tuck under interior trim to hide the wire. I wired mine to the accesory fuse so it turns on and off with the ignition. loved getting that wire off my dash and opening up my outlet again.I was able to hardwire my Cobra radar detector in about an hour. Works great and the wires are small enough to fit in the ceiling of my car without taking it off. Makes for simple installation. The wire reaches from my mirror all the way down to my fuse box with plenty of slack. Highly recommend.Thursday, February 6, 2014

The Kensignton iPhone car charger I had been using for years still performed well, but since it was originally intended to be a charger and an accessory for a remote control (that no longer works) it was bulky and had an extra AUX cable attached to it that I wasn't really using. It was until recently that I had the opportunity to order this Belkin car charger and I can confirm it was definitely quite the upgrade!
The first thing I liked was the size, the charger is pretty much the size of the cigarette lighter and only sticks out enough for you to see the green light when plugged and for you to connect the included USB cable. It does not take more room than required, that's a good thing for me. The USB cable included is designed for iPhone 4s and below, it also works with my regular iPod classic. I have to thank whoever designed this product because the USB cable they included does consider the fact that many iPhone/iPod users like to keep their devices in protective cases, the cable included is designed after the size of the original factory charger and the connector is long enough so it fits regardless of the case you may be using (after having to remove the protective case for years so I could charge my iPhone and iPod this is a most welcome change!)
Now that we have established the fact that the product is practical, how does it perform? The product description claims the charging times are faster. Well, after several tests I got an average time of charge of 1.15% per minute, using an iPhone 4 and an iPod classic. So say if you charge your device for an hour, you will get about 69% of battery. It is definitely slower than charging using a speaker dock, a computer or a power outlet, but in case of an emergency, it is good enough for me.
I have read you can use the charger with other USB devices, for my review, all tests were made with an iPhone 4 and an iPod classic (160GB)
Would I recommend it? Yes! The price is right, performs well and it is very practical to use in my car!Item came as described, good prodcuct. No problems so far and I would recommend this item to other iPhone owners.

But this Belkin surely seems of Belkin's usual high quality and I've used it a couple of times and it works superbly. Great price, too. Buy name band and buy quality, I guess. This is so much better than the usb that comes with the iphone. Sturdy! Perfect! Very happy with my purchaseFriday, January 31, 2014

XTREMEMAC InCharge Duo for iPhone/iPod

Buy XTREMEMAC InCharge Duo for iPhone/iPod Now
I had trouble getting my iPhone 3GS (iOS 4.3.2) to sync in this cradle, but it worked fine on the iPod Touches we have (2nd and 4th Gen). The iPhone would begin to sync as normal, but would then get to a certain point (usually either syncing contacts or syncing mail) and would unexpectedly lose connection to iTunes. Finally, after several tries, just before I lost connection with iTunes while syncing again the "This accessory is not optimized for this iPhone" message popped up. Aha! I turned airplane mode on, hit sync again and voila! Not exactly how I wanted this to work, but it seems like a small enough annoyance to warrant losing only one star.Read Best Reviews of XTREMEMAC InCharge Duo for iPhone/iPod Here
I bought this because my two kids fight over the charger, they both have their own ipod 4 touch, i can't get the ipods to sync with the charger with or without the converter base that come with it , have to keep an eye on it and adjust it to keep it charging or else any touch or bump into the device can un-sync it causing it just to sit there without being charged. Not a good product. If you have a store nearby where you can check this out please do , see how your ipod fits before you buy.cheap plastic construction but it seems to function ok. I bought it to charge mine and my girl friends iphones at the same time but it only comes with one insert for each type of ipod/iphone so that kinda sucked, but like I said it works.
