Okay, I don't know if it is just me, but this thing takes all night to charge a single battery. I have two of these and both of them work but it takes all night for the battery to become charged. Now I don't know if this is because the batteries are very high capacity or if this device just charges them very slowly so I can't say anything bad about the product because I don't know. Just seems a little strange.

It seems that I received some kind of mess up in my order. It says that it is for the Sony NP-F550 everywhere on the box and on the back of the unit, however the front of the unit says it is made for a different battery also made by sony and as such it does not fit the Sony NP-F550 battery. Seems to me like there was an error in the production. Just my luck.

I bought these just because I needed some basic tools for a project I was working on.

I didn't expect much for the price (or after reading other reviews).

After using these tools for awhile I'm pleased with them.

The drill is good quality with enough power for everything I've thrown at it. The battery hasn't died on me during a job. A single charge lasts long enough.

The circular saw isn't the best, but it gets the job done. It seams to drain the battery pretty quick. But for small jobs it's great. The project I was working on required 1/8 1/2 inch wood and it did a great job with that. Larger pieces aren't a problem but the battery won't last long.

The saw seams to be of good quality. I've only used it to cut a few pieces of schedule 40 pipe but it worked great for that.

The flashlight drains the battery fast. It's convenient in some places with the rotating angled head, but it's very bulky for most applications. At first I couldn't figured out what was rattling inside, but it turns out there's an extra bulb inside the flashlight, which is nice.

The charger is my biggest complaint. It's not a smart charger so you have to be careful not to leave the battery in there for more than a couple of hours.

The case is also annoying. I've never been able to get all the tools back in the case. The saw just doesn't fit anywhere once you have pulled it out.

Overall it's a decent low price kit. Don't expect to build a house with these.

Early on, the batteries seemed to struggle to maintain a charge or to deliver power to the three "main" tools. Over the past two months, however, I've been pleased with the set. Using the reciprocrator, I was able to fully modify a steel bike frame and cut down a large bush on one charge. I've used the drill on a variety of jobs, mainly installing deadbolts and mortise locks on several doors, as well as many smaller jobs with no problems. The circle-saw is pretty good as well, and has successfully cut through 2x4s without trouble.

I can't explain the early problems, but they seem to have disappeared completely.

Bought only the 19.2v drill from Costco some time back, thinking the Kawasaki name should be good for something, and I wanted a lightweight auxillary drill so I can minimize bit swapping. Soon after I bought it, the company (Alltrade, not Kawasaki) issued a battery recall notice. No problem, as my serial numbers were not listed.

However, in actual use, the drill is very underpowered, even with 19.2 volts. It can not drive a 1/2 inch spade through a 4x4 pressure treated post. I ended up finishing the job easily with my trusty DeWalt (rated at 14.4 volts), which cuts into the material like butter (literally!).

Then there's the issue of battery life. I expected way better than what I got, even though I knew it wasn't a professional-level power pack. The batteries have to be charged very frequently, even with light use.

The drill is light and is comfortable to hold and use, if a bit large, and the chuck is wobble-free, making it good for precision work. But the drill is not appropriate for heavy-duty use or for those occasions when you really need the extra power or torque.

Most disappointing was the fact that, even with light use, the drill failed completely within months (probably due to a faulty trigger assembly).

In sum, this set of tools will likely disappoint, as most people will use the drill most often. Based on my experience with the drill and battery system, I would not recommend this set. You will be way better off spending more and getting a good combo from one of the established tool companies (DeWalt, Makita, etc.). It can be much more expensive ($400 on up for similar tools), but in the end you'll have something that'll last and get the job done with less frustration.

I purchased this set over 2 years ago for a deck rebuilding project. the drill and radial saw and flashlight have been excellent. the batteries hold a charge for a decent amount of time, and having a 2nd battery means you never are down while waiting for a recharge. great value for the home do it yourselfer.

There is no replacement for corded power tools when you are doing a big project or working with heavy lumber and such. Even the professional cordless units have their limits. Unfortunately, when you have to haul out four cases of equipment (circular saw, drill, saws-all, lights) and then haul out heavy extension cords, the work area can get pretty messy. The cool thing about this set-up, is you only have to haul out ONE case and all your tools are there. For the typical needs around the house, this is fine. What's funny about why I bought it, is I already owned the drill. I've used it for a couple of years on dozens of projects without any issues except one of the battery packs is getting a bit weak. So, since I was probably going to have to buy another battery pack, I bought this set-up. It gives me two more of the same battery packs, a back-up charger (or I can charge two packs at once) and a back-up drill in addition to the other tools. I used it the other day to build a potter's bench and enerything worked well and it was powerful enough for the 2x4 construction.

This product does not actually charge my cell phone, it only maintains the current charge in the phone. It shows that it's charging but the battery level never increases, even if it's on their all night. I now see why it was so cheap to purchase

Just received the Rally 7471 in the mail today, it is charging as we speak. First impressions of this is a great American product. I can't believe no one else has already thought of this. The packaging was great, the instructions are very clearly written and easy to understand. I purchased this to be able to use while camping / documentary out in nature. The pros for me with this product is the portability (light weight), power inverter for charging laptops and camera gear, and the ability to hand charge the whole unit when not near outlets or vehicle.

The manual says that after pulling the charging handle for approx. 3 mins there will be enough power to jump start a vehicle battery, and that powering a laptop will last around an hour and a half. I am going to take it through it's paces and update this review.

actually got around to testing the unit out downgraded my initial 5 stars to 3 stars, and here's why. After fully charging I plugged in my laptop and watched a movie. The laptop draws at max 60 watts, the battery lasted about an hour and a half (what the manual says). The recharge from the wall outlet takes about 26 hours (has red, amber and green color changing LED for battery status). After draining I used the pull handle, pulls like a normal gasoline lawnmower engine. The manuals says that after pulling for 3 mins there will be enough power to jump start your car battery. I don't know about that, but it ran my laptop for another 5 mins.

Pretty weak battery performance, but overall good little product, light weight and has all the accessories.

I am disappointed. I used the hand generator , and the cord came out , and now refuses to go back in position. If any of you are trilled about the hand generator feature, well it is a gimmick, I should have taken the owners reviews into consideration. I hope i can get a refund. Stay clear of that product people.

Decided to pick this up based on the positive reviews (which I suspect could be from company employees, perhaps). I charged the unit for 48 hours continuously. Then, I plugged in my laptop and used it as normal. This draws between just 40-50 watts using my watt meter. At the 45 minute mark, the unit was dead. The packaging estimated 1hr and 6 minutes of run time with a 90 watt draw, which is twice the wattage that I consumed. So, I figured that I'll just go ahead and see how much juice I get out of pull starting it for 3 minutes, and do another run test.

Well, on the second pull, the pull cord became fully extended and will not return back to it's retracted position. I couldn't help but notice on the bottom where it says MADE IN CHINA. Well, that explains that. Hopefully I can return this piece of junk for a refund.

I just received this unit today. It is charging as I type. I like the hand generator feature and that's the main reason I bought this Unit. I don't expect too much from this power pack since it's only 140 watt inverter. I have a 600 watt inverter power pack from MotoMaster Eiminator. It works good but no hand generator. Will update this review if there's any problem or something worth mentioning.

I want to second what others have said. The unit looks great, but it doesn't hold much of a charge. It might be fine for jumps and pumps, but as an AC power source, it's very poor. I charged the unit fully (24 hours) and ran a laptop off it that pulls about 60 watts. As others have reported, I was able to run the laptop for about an hour before the Rally ran out of juice.

If you want it only for an emergency jump/pump or two, I'm sure it's fine. Also for *briefly* powering an AC device that has no batteries.

As a backup for a laptop (or any device that has batteries) it's terrible: you'll get far more juice out of a spare battery for a tiny fraction of the weight.

Cheap and keeps my phone charged well since I am on the road a lot between work and school. It's definitely not as fast as charging as a wall charger but this is more just an in-between charger I use while I drive around and it helps keep my battery going great.

This worked for about 6 months in three different cars. However, from the beginning the charger would get hot and would even smell like melting plastic. After about 6 months, it started losing the connection with the car lighter/charger port. Used this item for long trip to area where I was not familiar with the roads. It wouldn't stay connected. Every time my GPS "talked" to tell me the next "step" along the route it caused my GPS to shut down and restart at the selection menu. NOT helpful when you do not know where you are going! I had hope it would reconnect before I needed to make the next turn. This made for a very unpleasant two hour drive. I have replaced it with a charger from a more reliable seller.

I have a samsung note 2 and it charges my battery 3/4 the way with one charge hour charge. That is a pretty decent charge considering the size and capacity of the battery in the phone. Anyone with a power hungry phone could probably get 1 to 2 hours off a single charge. You can also use the phone while charging without any hiccups. Before I begin it's important to know that my use for this is unorthodox. The first thing I did was tear it out of the case and solder wires to it's terminals. So I can only speak to it's functionality, not it's fit in in a cigarette lighter.

I connected it to a battery. The light came on, and my phone (which is not a Verizon HTC Merge) works just fine. I think that some Motorola phones require a specific USB charger (and I could be wrong so please do not base your purchase decision on that) but other than that any phone (or other USB device) SHOULD work just fine.

The sticker on it said it put out 1A, some reviews said they got less as I recall. If I remember, I'll hook up a multimeter to it later and post my findings. The amperage rating is important because some of your more power hungry devices may use more than it can give if it's too inaccurate.

Update: I never got around to testing the amperage, but I did run around with my smartphone on full brightness, gps on and running google navigation. It doesn't QUITE keep up, I'd say I lose about 1% battery every 15 minutes but it's good enough to keep it running even for a full day of driving so I am happy. I purchased this car charger because I liked the concept of the retractable cord. First if all, the cord only extends to 12 inches at best, definitely not long enough to secure my phone in its holder while being charged.

Beyond that, it stopped working completely after 10 days with minimal use.

I do not recommend this charger, its junk just as the price implies.
