Got here very quickly and seemed to work just fine, but it doesn't seem to work that good after just one use.

Got it a few days ago, says it's charging the phone, but doesn't really charge. In most cases, even when plugged in to this charger, the phone dies if the battery is too low.

I inserted new batteries and tried to charge our Kindle Fire but, it did not work. I also tried charging a Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Media Player with no luck. I returned it and am looking for an alternative.

It works just fine. Portable. The only thing I did not like from the design was that the device doesn't have anything to pull it out from the hole where it goes inserted.

I took a chance on this charger not seeing any reviews. It fit my Tomtom 920 without shorting it out. It seems as well made as any of the other Chinese crap out there. I didn't expect it to be made of iron and brass. Although I would pay more for one that was. All in all I'm happy with the company and product. I like the idea of the interchangeable tips. It protects my Garmin GPS very well, but I don't like the fact that thats all I can fit there. It has a net on the other side to put your charger or cable but its too tight that the zipper won't close, its either your GPS or your cable...otherwise I would of given them 5 stars.

Bought this carrying case and set of cables for Garmin 2460LMT. I wanted the case so I could put the Garmin in my carry on and not worry about scratching it. The case is ok although it's a tight fit and will probably not last. The cables don't fit the 2460LMT. Perhaps the cables will work with some of the other models listed. They're just the standard mini-USB so I'll just save them for other devices.

I used to be a big APC fan, but over the years I have had all kinds of problems with them not behaving well after a battery change. They don't even like the batteries purchased from APC.

This product worked out great because I just picked up a couple of Marine Deep Cycle Wet batteries (approx $60 ea) used some cables I had around (#2 Battery cables from auto parts store work great) Just get short ones with two eyes for the connections between batteries (wingnut on bolt connections on most deep cycles) and one longer one to cut in 1/2 and use for both connections to the APS.

The APS takes a 5.5mm allen wrench to tighten the connections, I had to cut the plastic around the outlets a little to get my power strip to plug in directly.

A large (8D) battery box will hold up to 3 size 24 batteries, so I am going to pick up one of those this week.

This unit does not have the B series of DIP switches.

This unit also initially charged the batteries at 50A and then dropped down as they took a surface charge.

The transfer to UPS is seamless when unplugging from the wall for testing.

No flicker or anything on any of the computers.

I am running two computers (+LCDS, Drives, etc) one with a 1000W DA1000 SilverStone DA1000 1000W ATX 12V 2.2 and EPS 12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Active PFC Power Supply Retailthe other with a really old 350W supply.

I also have 5 SATA drives in the desktop.

When I do some AC testing for how the unit performs from a generator, I will add to my review.

I have installed this along with an AGM battery as a power back-up for my sump pump. It had no trouble starting my 1/3rd hp pump. A good feature is the "charge only" mode that allows you to shut the inverter down when not needed (the winter months in my case), thus preserving the battery. It also has a setting for the type of battery being used (wet cell or glass-mat). I bought this unit to replace one from the Inverter Store that failed in less than a year.

This Tripp Lite 1200 watt inverter/30 watt converter combo is working perfectly. It provides power to the RV entertainment center up to 5 hours a day. It is connected to a12 volt, 220 amp hr battery. The maximum power drawn is 350 watts in this service so this unit is not working hard, but it certainly works well. The converter is in parallel with a 5 amp solar charger and there has been no problems with this connection.

I bought one of these to provide uninterrupted power to my computer, internet and a NAS. The device failed less than two months after the 1 year warranty had expired. It no longer charges my batteries and says it's over loaded, even when nothing is plugged in. I now have a 400 dollar boat anchor, not to mention another 400 worth of batteries, cables and the trip-lite remote switch that I bought to go with it.

this is a great all-in-one solution for battery-based off-the-grid power. I spent a lot of time researching chargers and inverters and which ones I should combine before I found this, which does both easier and much cheaper for comparable performance.

my only suggestion would be for them to add a couple of fused terminals for direct DC power that could be shut off when the voltage is too low, but we can't have everything I guess.

UPDATE: after about 3 years of light summer usage, this thing up and completely quit on me. no power, nothing. it was nice while it lasted, but far too much to spend on something that is just going to fail after a while.

I like to ride brevets a style of long-distance cycling that involves riding 200k, 300k, 400k, 600k, and longer rides. The battery in my Garmin Edge 705 is two years old and currently has a run time of about 16 hours. This will get me through a 200k or a 300k, but not the longer rides. I've been looking for an external power supply since I bought the Garmin and recently a rider on a 600k brevet I was hosting showed me the Gomadic.

It is rare that a company makes a product that does exactly what you need, exceeds your expectations, costs less that you expect, and delivers it quicker than you would expect possible. Gomadic did all these things.

I ordered it on Monday morning, I received a shipment email on Monday afternoon, and the product was on my doorstep when I got home from work on Wednesday. It's very simple a battery case to hold four AA batteries, some electronics, an on-off switch, and a green power led.

On Saturday morning I put new Duracell batteries in and connected it to my Garmin. The backlight came on which is standard for the Garmin Edge so I set the illumination level to the lowest setting (other than off) and started my ride for the day. Then I finished the ride with the external battery pack still powering the Garmin, then I left it on all evening, all night, all the next day. It's still powering the Garmin over 44 hours later on the same set of batteries. I don't know when the batteries will run out. I would have been satisfied with eight hours of run time.

You should also note that, unlike when you charge from a computer or a wall socket, the Garmin will continue to operate when connected to this external power supply.

Sometimes a product is perfect. This is one of those times. If you own a Garmin Edge and need an external power supply, this is the product for you.

After the first Chinese controller I bought with a small (5W) solar panel, I was at first excited to get something I thought would "do the job." Instead, I received another controller from another Chinese company that is barely engineered to specification and does not perform as I would expect (night time reverse flow puts the unit into a confused state where I have to disconnect the panel from the controller to get back to day charge state.) May just have to build my own unit from scratch, but had hoped that this controller, which looks nice, would have done the job.

This item appears to be made well and performs well to date. The enclosed instructions were inadequate, but reading other reviews helped sort it out.

I use it to regulate a solar panel for battery maintenance in a RoadTrek RV that is parked away from AC electricity source.

Radio shack provided a nice cigarette lighter type plug-in connector and I had on hand some appropriate marine 12 V. insulated wire so installation was quite simple. The solar panel sits on the dash when in use.

I've had this unit installed on my RV for over a year now. Works great. I used it to replace another brand unit that had gone bad from age. I like the LED display on this HQRP model. It seems to charge better than the other brand unit too. It was so simple to install and the wiring looks a lot neater in my RV than the other unit did. Yes, the instructions about how the LED lights work and what they indicate is a challenge to understand. But, once you figure it out, I like it. I'm using 2 panels off this controller. One 50W HQRP panel and one 100W panel of another brand that I paid too much for years ago. I bought the HQRP panel and controller on Amazon from Osprey Talon.

I bought the car charger right after I bought my new phone. A smart phone must have a car charger. The first week was great. I plugged my phone in and could drive knowing it was charging. Shortly after i noticed that the red light wasn't always lit, meaning it wasn't plugging into my jeep very well. It just won't stay in. And now i'm seeing that the charger doesn't stay in the phone very well. I have to wiggle to plug and basically cradle the phone in my hand while i drive to ensure that it charges. Not a great thing to do with 2 new items. I baby my phone, and the charger never leaves my jeep. I never let anyone else use it and i am now stuck with an accessory that won't do it's job.

This charger doesn't work in my car. It was inexpensive and now I know why I won't even spend the money to return it as the postage is going to cost just as much as the charger as itself.

Well I purchased this for my HTC Inspire about 3 months ago (in April) and what a terrible purchase.

First Problem: Yes the cord is meant to stretch say 2 feet, but the holders that keep the plug in the charger port are so loose that it will come out whenever you barely pull it.

Second Problem: Now that I have had this charger for about three months, it will not even charge my phone anymore! The light on the charger is lit, but my phone receives no charge.

As the adage goes, you get what you pay for, and with this charger you get a poor quality charger that is not worth the price they even sell it at.

DEWALT DC800KL 36-Volt 1/2-inch Lithium Ion Cordless Impact Wrench Kit with NANO Technology

I really wanted to like this impact, and keep it for daily use in an auto shop environment....but it just didn't work out.

Number one was it does not seem to have the advertised torque capacity, I use Accutorq torque sticks on auto lug nuts, and this would not even get them torqued to 80 ft.lbs, where as my pneumatic

1/2 inch impact had no problems, was very disappointed with the power output, especially considering it's specs and being a 36 volt LiIon powered device.

Next deal breaker for me, and it may not be for some, is the socket retaining pin...it's a spring loaded PIN, which positively locks in the hole on an impact socket...you don't have to worry about the socket flying off, that is for sure...but in order to remove the socket, you have to manually depress the pin with a small screwdriver, punch, etc....not too good for changing sockets around in the middle of a complex job.

Lastly, I just plain did not care for the rocker style forward/backward power switch...and switch is the word...no varible speed here, it's either on or off....another less than ideal situation for automotive work.

I think this impact is more geared towards the construction trade, and if that is what you are using it for, it may very well be great. I just did not find it very appropriate for my application.

Had to snag the review title because its true. I use this thing to do everything from drive 6 inch lag bolts to 3 1/2 inch wood screws to work on my tractor. I am not sure if the other reviewer had a low battery or a bad tool but it can loosen 1 inch lugs on the tractor just fine that are torqued to will over 80 pounds 120 IIRC, if it can get them off it can put them on. I will use this to put them on nice and tight then I go to the hand torque wrench to get them to spec (Mountain 250lb). There is no adjustable torque setting but i didn't expect one as its not in the tool specifications. I love this tool and it is well worth the price. I ended up paying 420 for mine from TwinBargins (amazon retailer) when they were selling them cheaper. The fact that it comes with 2 batteries and a charger makes the tool itself very affordable when you factor in the individual costs. I would recommend this to everyone, especially if you have other 36 volt tools that can use the batteries.

A word to the wise, buy impact bits and sockets if you want frustration free driving. Also get this little ditty it doesn't come with it but it make the tool 10 times more useful.

My 18 volt Dewalt impact does almost as much work. I have many Dewalt tools and am very happy with them. This one does not get close to what Dewalt says it will do. Dewalt should pay me to test their tools.

Further, the car plug would not fit tightly into my car socket. It was so loose it just fell out. I notified the seller and was treated as if I were trying to scam them out of a thousand dollar item. I was told I first had to photograph the tip of the charger, and their invoice and e-mail it to them. I explained that I do not have a camera and could not take the pictures. Afetr several e-mails I caled their customer service and was told it was not their policy to refund shipping even though they sent a defective or wrong item. They then had the nerve to ask me to give them a positive feedback. After they receive this feedback they would consider my request that they reimburse me for the item and shipping. (This sounds an awful lot like blackmail). And, they insist I pay the shipping to return this item to them.

All this aggravation for a $6.99 item!!!

The day time recording is very good but night time recording is not good. The image does not rotate with camera so if you mount it atop your dashboard like I did with the screen on the top everything records upside down so when you put it on your computer you will have to use a video editing software to rotate the video right side up. I did not use the supplied windshield mount because I did not want to create a blind spot in my windshield.

This was a disappointment. Upon arrival I immediately noticed the LCD was cracked. While it was still view-able I wanted to see if it lived up to other expectations. It didn't. By now everyone should know the manual is a joke. Hardest part of the setup was learning that the "OK" button is actually the red record button. After that it was easy to set up all remaining options. Two big disappointments on the unit was that, when recording, the red record button is blinking red. While some may find it comforting to know it is actually recording, I want this to be invisible to me and my passengers until its needed. Second is the video quality. Perhaps this unit was bad due to the LCD damage but it was horribly out of focus. And it is most certainly not HD even if it was. I set the resolution to 720 and the picture was grainy. Amazon is awesome as well on the return.

I had purchased one of these cameras before for one of my cameras. It worked so well that I ordered another for the wifes car.

The instructions are confusing, but with a little experimenting you can set it up. True you cannot see things real plain, but for what you are paying for this camera it does the job. The nite vision is almost useless.

This dashboard camera works, but... not without issues. The user manual is very poor and I have not been able to get the camera to loop, write over past recordings. It says it reports the memory full with just 10 minutes of recording on a 2 gb card. This would work if it would loop and overwrite. I would tell you to look for a better unit. I will.

This charger will charge/desulfate/ and maintain any 12 battery from gel cell jump packs, to AGM spiral cells, to car, truck and RV batteries and will actually restore them to a higher capacity as well as make them last much longer. For 24 volt applications you can use two of these chargers. I run a battery shop for a large maintenance facility and since we started using these products several years ago, we continue to save thousands of dollars every month using Pulse Tech chargers (bigger commercial units using the same technology). This is the only charger I have found that actually breaks up the lead sulfate crystals -which form on the lead plates when a battery sits at a less than full charged state. (All lead acid batteries do this). Its these deposits of lead sulfate crystals that keeps the battery from delivering current and excepting a full charge. I have 3 of these chargers at homethey come in different colors (red, yellow, green and blue and a dual charger version). They are all electronically the same so buy the cheapest one you find.

In a world where things claim to "work better" or "make things last longer"this is the rare exception where the product actually does what it says and does it well. These results can be fully verified though empirical testing. Used regularly you should expect to easily get 6-10 years out of a battery rather than the often normal 2-4 years. This will quickly pay for the charger. I cycle it through all our batteries (at home) 3 or 4 times a year to keep them charged, de-sulfated and ultimately lasting longer. If you have access to a battery conductance tester (found in large automotive shops) which tests batteries for capacity and cranking amps, you can test a battery and then go use this pulse tech charger. You can then measure how it restores the battery to a previous higher capacity. It will often bring back a really weak battery to fully operation status allowing you to get a couple more years of use out of it. Its rare that I am able to recommend a product so hardily, but it works well and you will be happy with not having to buy replacement batteries for your equipment so often. I've used this product for several years now and it's the best charger I've ever owned. I originally bought it to maintain my motorcycle battery. I use my motorcycle mostly for track days now so I don't ride it as often as when I commuted on it. Because of this, I had to replace a very expensive AGM battery. Rather than having to replace expensive batteries, I put my bike on a trickle chager. Originally I tried to get away with a cheaper type. I used a battery tender junior (which I bought from amazon). It died after a day of use. I figured it was defective and I had it replaced. It also died. Given the rock solid ratings and review, I figured, I must have done something wrong. I talked to their customer service and on my 3rd try on that charger had it "maintain" a new battery with a full charge. It also died. I gave up after that and switched to this charger.

This charger has worked flawlessly over the past few years. The indicator lights give me all the information I need regarding the health of my battery. It doesn't overcharge the battery or reduce battery life. I now use it also on my deep cycle batteries on my boat (3 of them). I basically cycle this charger and move it from battery to battery every few weeks. I've used this thing non-stop for at least 2-3 years now. It is also water-resistant (proof?), and I have no problem leaving charging my boat even if it's raining outside. It also doesn't get hot at all like many other chargers.

The only drawback to this unit is is $100 bucks vs. $25 for other chargers. However, I personally believe it's well worth the money.

If you check the specs, all the models are the same charge capacity, except for color of plastic and labeling. So buy the cheaper one! Have two differant ones, and both identical ratings, and charge the same in real time.

I purchased the Pulse Tech charger after much online research into this technology and even some discussions with the company since they are local to my area in N. Texas. What I think I discovered from my research is that the pulse technology is best suited for new batteries rather than reclaiming old and sulfated batteries. This technology seems to prevent the sulfate from forming on the plates. I installed the charger/maintainer on a brand new 100 Ah marine battery. On start-up, it showed 50% charge level and began it's charging/pulsing cycle. The maximum charge current is 2.5 amps, so it took 24 hours for the battery to reach 100% charge. At 100% the Pulse Tech charger switched to maintenance mode. That consists of no charge current, but the anti-sulfation pulses remain active.

As with any device of this type, it can only get glowing reviews if it works. With the promise of pulse charging extending the life of batteries for 4-6 years and beyond. This review will be very stale by the time I can report back on the devices complete success. However, as a battery low-current maintainer with high tech properties, It seems to be a well-made and easy to use device. I give it 4-stars for now with the possibility of getting that extra star when it shows it's usefulness 4 to 5 years hence. Because of it's ease of use, great function, and feedback via lights, I still rate it highly and can cautiously recommend it to others. I do recommend it as an addition to new batteries or ones that are still performing near 100%. Preventing sulfation seems to be a better solution than removing it after the fact.

I bought this charger as I have 2 large deep cycle batteries in my boat for my trolling motor that would not take a charge. I was reading up on the web about how to make a battery desulfator when I came across this charger. I figured for about 20 bucks more than it would cost to make a desulfator I could just buy this and save myself the time. My boat batteries would not hold beyond 50% capacity. Each battery tested as bad. After topping off the water in each battery this is my results:

72 hours on charge bad battery light activated. Unplugged charger moved to battery 2 after 72 hours charger indicated 100% charged. Charger moved back to battery 1. After 72 hours charger indicated 100% charged. I removed charger and used load tester on trolling motor. Displaying 75% capacity. allowed to sit for 1 week. Each battery testing at 12.18vdc load test at 75% capacity. Going to place back on charger and see if it will restore remainder of capacity.

(UPDATE:)

After about a Month of moving the charger back and forth from battery to battery the load tester now indicates 100%. Now I gotta get my butt on the water and time the longevity of the batteries.

This thing has saved me a few hundred bucks in trolling motor batteries. Of course they will never be as good as brand new but I have definitely found my new charger. I plan to buy 2 more use as a 3 bank charger for all my batteries.

I think this is well worth the money oh and buy a set of pigtails for each battery it's easier that way.

They were quick to call back and promised to overnight this charger and two different batteries I had ordered. They DID NOT! I received a refund, which is nice, but I REALLY needed this charger and the two batteries for my vacation. So, when I returned, NO charger or batteries. Shame on BTO!!
