Power Bright PW3500-12 Power Inverter 3500 Watt 12 Volt DC To 110 Volt AC

Buy Power Bright PW3500-12 Power Inverter 3500 Watt 12 Volt DC To 110 Volt AC Now
I am a business owner who builds custom wooden crates and skids on site for the moving and shipping industry. Bought this hoping to eliminate the need for a loud exhaust puffing generator that can be hard to start in winter to power saws drills and air compressors in a small van that does smaller jobs throughout the city of Chicago. Plan was to hook it up to the existing battery in van and run all equipment while the vehicle idles.I must say it generates the power needed to power a 3/4 horsepower air compressor and a 13 amp miter saw individually. When they operate simultaneously it does struggle a little, but still does manage to keep everything running. This isn't that big of a deal for me as normally only one person is working out of this truck at a time. I was worried about it draining the battery of my vehicle but the safety shut off at 10 volts solves that problem. I did, later on, equip my truck with a deep cycling marine battery. Now for most jobs I don't even have to idle van to continually charge the battery.
In my application This is better than an invert-er generator because it is 6x cheaper for same wattage, quieter, and takes up less space in back of truck.
Only thing is that a chart or reference of some type, to guide the purchaser, on the size of cables to use would have been handy. It took me a few hours of research to figure out the safe AWG of cable to use. I used 15 ft of 3/0 cable and it seems to be working fine.
I eventually will equip my other small van with an invert-er also but I may go up in size to a 5000W unit.

Simple & consistent operation, very well built. A great product at this price point and better than the other models tried previously.Want Power Bright PW3500-12 Power Inverter 3500 Watt 12 Volt DC To 110 Volt AC Discount?
This was my second Power Bright PW3500 that I purchased, the first one quit after five years one day it worked then next time nothing. This next new one right out of the box the remote did not work but this was not essential just a nusance, to replace one from Bermuda would cost more than it's worth. The inverters work very well though and can provide good power on a number of projects as we use trucks in sales displays with all kinds of lights and sound playing for promoting soft drinks out in the field also we have power supply for music and lights for trucks in parades around the Island, all told I would get another one if this one lasts over five years.Saturday, June 14, 2014

These stools are wonderful. We use them around the house for our 3 1/2 y/o twins & also for the cars to get bikes etc off of the racks on top. Their compact size makes them so easy to store. GREAT BUY!!!Want B&R Plastics 101-6AS-ASST EZ Foldz Step Stool - Pack of 6 Discount?
I bought this a couple of years ago and love it. It's lightweight and compact, folds into an easily stored size, but when you flip it open it'll hold an average adult just fine. Solid. It'll store easily in a cabinet or under the sink or you could hang it on a wall or door. Great for reaching the top shelf in the kitchen, or would be terrific for little kids to reach the sink, etc. Every home could use at least one.Thursday, March 6, 2014

Gilsson Direct Wire Cable for Garmin Nuvi 205 255 265 550 660 755 760 765 775 885 Magellan 1412 421

- 8 Feet Long. Voltage Converter/fuse box is in the middle, 4 feet from the connector and 4 feet from power source
As far as installation goes, I would recommend using a fuse tap (such as an add-a-circuit) from and auto parts store so that the converter box in the line doesn't drain the battery if you don't ride for a while. You may find, however that your fuse circuit is still hot because you may have relays on your fuse box, in that case, I would recommend installing a switch with the hot wire running into the fuse tap so that all you need to do is flip the switch off and the converter box will not use up your battery.
I don't think the converter box uses up that much power, but if it is directly connected to your battery (or you have the fuse tap in a hot circuit ((by hot circuit, I mean that it is getting power even with the ignition off)) ), the converter box IS using power constantly, so that is why i recommend using a switch or a fuse tap to a switched circuit (meaning a circuit that is not receiving power when the ignition is off).
Make sure you ground everything you install, or it won't work, and make sure every new line has a fuse (why i recommend the fuse tap).
You will have to ground the converter box or the setup will not work. If you use a switch with an LED indicator on it, you will also have to ground the switch if you want the LED to work, but not grounding the switch should not impact the setup's functionality as long as the converter box is grounded (speaking from logic, not experience).
If you have any question for motorcycle install, feel free to ask... I know how difficult it can be to find answers to these questions, but fortunately i found a setup that worked for me and my dad.Nice cable for direct wire up of the Garmin Nuvi. The only awkward part is the fact that the step down transformer (black egg looking thing) is only 2 feet from the plug that goes into the Nuvi. That makes it hard to hide the cable from view. It has a small led to let you know that it is connected to power and that seems to draw a small amount of current even when not plugged into the Nuvi. Keep that in mind if current drain is a concern.A note inside the packaging for this unit says the following: "Thank you for the purchase of the Gilsson Direct Wire Cable. Please be sure to test our Direct Wire Cable with your GPS to ensure it does not go into PC Charge Mode while connected to the power source. In certain ISOLATED cases of Garmin nuvi 205, 255W and 265W GPS receivers, customers have reported the PC Charge Mode issue.......". Well, my Garmin nuvi 205W displays a PC to GPS connection icon on the screen after about 30 seconds on this power converter, i.e. the map can't be displayed, making it utterly useless. If the power unit has known issues with certain GPS models they should not list those models as compatible with their product. Back to Amazon it goes. Two main problems:
1) Poor quality -The unit had a intermittent open circuit at the lower strain relief connector from the unit. If I moved the cable it would make connection but would lose connection again. I knew I'd have to fix their poor wiring for the unit to have a chance of being reliable, but it didn't matter since it was incompatible with my Nuvi 255 (see next problem).
2) Garmin issues -The unit comes with a little slip of paper that shows that Gilsson knowingly sells this product with a problem that it goes into PC charge mode when connected. They claim this only occurs with Nuvi 205, 255W, and 265W GPS receivers. I have a Nuvi 255 and it does have the problem, making the Gilsson unit useless. I'm glad it works for some other customers, but for me, this was a bad purchase.
I rarely post reviews unless a product is either very good or very bad. This one is in the bad category. Beware.Ok, so I was looking for something to power my nuvi GPS on motorcycle. Read many reviews and picked this one. It does work well. Used ties to position voltage reducer to frame under seat. Then ran striped wires end to splice into tail light. Lastly, I ran GPS plug end under tank along existing wires and tied them down. And there you have it... Riding all day with a powered GPS on a motorcycle.

Great price, great items, I'm happy, yay for me! :)I bought this car charger for my mom. It worked out great because now she has a 2nd wall charger for her condo.Great. I have been looking for a set like this for quite a while. Once I saw the set it was great. Then I saw the price. I couldn't resist.Worked fine. Looks a bit sturdier than the one that came with our phone. We'll see if it holds up.

Kensington Mini Battery Extender and Charger for iPod; iPhone 1G, 3G (Black)

- Compatibility: iPod nano 1G, 2G, 3G; iPod classic 4G, 5G, 5.5G, 6G; iPod touch; iPhone 1G, 3G, 4
- Power and charge your iPhone or iPod--extends playtime up to 30 hours of music or 6 hours of video (on iPod nano 3G) or 3 hours of talk (on iPhone)
- Includes retractable USB charging cable
- High-capacity rechargeable lithium-ion polymer battery pack for increased energy efficiency
- Small enough to keep connected to your iPhone or iPod
1) No video camcorder
2) No flash
3) Battery life is poor
Well, the Kensington Mini Battery Extender helps address the third flaw. I also bought an Incase Power Slider because I was wondering how they compared. I had read reviews and heard from people that the Mophie Juice Pack had problems with the rubber case falling off, so I decided to skip that one, although I played around with it a bit before buying the Incase.
All these products perform their basic function admirably they charge your iPhone when you don't have access to an outlet. I can't actually compare which one recharges the most or for the longest, but it's pretty safe to say that they should take care of you through most typical situations (e.g. a transcontinental flight, a busy day on the phone, or a night out with friends after a long day at work). Unless you are Jack Bauer and have a magical cell phone that never runs down, chances are that any of these will keep you in power.
But the fit and finish of these products is the real differentiator (along with price). In reverse order, are my preferences:
3) Mophie Juice Pack: Adds a little bulk to the iPhone, but the rubber covering can cause problems in the long run. But I also didn't like the design it only partially covers the iPhone, leaving the top part exposed. Seemed awkward to me, combine that with the high price, and this wouldn't be my first (or second) choice.
2) Kensington Mini Battery Extender: The design is very awkward. Other owners had talked about keeping it attached while using the phone not only does the connection feel flimsy (making me fear that the dock connector would be damaged), but it also looks unattractive. I'd only use this in an emergency situation or if I wasn't planning on using the phone at the same time. The only reason I have it as my second choice is because the price is right for less than $35 (MSRP is $39), you can have the same power backup as with the Mophie or the Incase. If you are on a budget, then this is a great option. Another possible scenario is if you want to have more than one battery extender/charger you can get three of these for the same price as one of the others.
1) Incase Power Slider: By far, the Power Slider had the best design. The two-part design completely encases the iPhone, increasing the dimensions only slightly. It's a little wider, a little longer, a little thicker, and a little heavier. But it's a very natural look, and most people wouldn't even realize it's also a battery pack. It's pretty easy to put on and take off, and feels like a second skin in the end without impeding the camera. But it is harder to access buttons, so I don't plan on using this on a daily basis only when I travel.
SUMMARY: Like I said, any of these will do the basic job, but the Kensington will do it cheaper and the Incase will do it in style.
Buy Kensington Mini Battery Extender and Charger for iPod; iPhone 1G, 3G (Black) Now
Wanted to confirm that this works with Iphone 3g just fine. You can keep using your Iphone and listening to music etc while this is attached (it puts it into charging mode like plugging it into a wall outlet). Hoping to use this for my plane travel this week will report on battery life. Also, wanted to say that this seems to charge fine with my Belkin Iphone charger (the set where you get wall and car charger with usb plug ins on both) it's really nice because the wall charger has two usb outlets so you can charge both the battery and Iphone at the same time without a laptop etc.I tested this charger on my iPhone(first iphone version when they just came out.)
I drained my iphone down to 10% warning and plugged in a fully-charger Kensington Battery. It took about 70 minutes until the charger's juice was gone and it powered my iPhone to about 50%. Surely enough, 3 hours later of constant texting, my iphone gave me the 10% business.
The Good:
Truly Portable. Dimensions are 2.5 x 2 x 0.5 inches. (I'm not sure why at the time of this review, it shows dimensions as 5.2 x 6 x 1.5 units. I pondered why this was the case, and it turns out that these dimentions are in centimeters.) Dimensions blend in well with your iPhone: it doesn't stick out, but just extends the lenght of your iphone by 2 inches.
Charge and use your phone at same time: No need to wait til the power transfers.
Stylish: Yes, I said "stylish." Every time I plug this in, the other iPhone users turn their heads and wonder what my little attachment does. The brightly-lit blue energy bar really stands out and lets you charge in style.
Tiny charging retractible USB cable: While its 4 inches in closed position, its retractible up to 2 feet at full lenght. Its fully compatible with iphone's usb plug adapter, so you can charge your battery on the plug OR using computer's USB slot.
The Bad:
For emergencies only. It would be nice if this portable charger had more juice capacity than 50% of the iPhone's battery. Because of this, I don't carry it as much and only take it with me for emergency purposes. Its a good thing to keep in your car's glove compartment or at home for those blackouts.
Bottom Line: Perfect for emergencies, but will leave you wishing for more juice in the long run.
Want Kensington Mini Battery Extender and Charger for iPod; iPhone 1G, 3G (Black) Discount?
With my morning 30 minute conference calls, I barely get by each day without needing to recharge my iPhone. What drew me to this was the all in one style design. No cables or mess to deal with. Here's the low down:
Cons:
Simultaneous charging (connected to my Macbook Pro) took a little longer than preferred, but I guess it was because my iPhone was completely dead.
Pros:
Tiny battery pack was able to charge my iPhone to about 65% from dead which was impressive in a relatively short period of time
Battery indicator was extremely helpful
Small enough to keep in my pocket without the weight and bulk
The smartest thing about this battery pack is that it leaves about a 1.5mm gap on the bottom of the iPhone so the microphone isn't blocked. Genius.
Oh yeah, it comes with a plastic cap to protect the connector if you toss it in your work bag or something.Just got this battery from amazon today. It works great.
To test it out on my new 3G iPhone, I drained the phone's battery completely. The external battery was not charged out of the box so I fully charged the external battery through my computer, which took about 3 hours. Then I attached the charged external battery to the iPhone. I kept the iPhone off while it was being charged by the external battery. The external battery charged my iPhone back to 80% battery life. The charge took about 1 hour.
Also, I have a case on the iPhone and did not encounter any issues with charging the phone with the external battery. The case did not have to come off!
Excellent product. I'll use this just about daily at work/home.

Black & Decker 300 Amp Low-Profile Jump Starter

Buy Black & Decker 300 Amp Low-Profile Jump Starter Now
I purchased this item because of the product name Black & Decker which has a reputation to make quality tools that perform well. After fully charging the unit I attempted to start my Craftsman garden tractor whose battery was weak. Well to my dissatisfaction after connecting the B&D Jump Pack to the battery had little or no effect on the performance of the cranking of the engine which I couldn't get started. Feeling that there may be a problem with the garden tractor I attempted to jump start my Sonoma P/U with a 6 cyl engine which was totally dead and after connecting the B&D battery pack again it had no effect whatsoever and wouldn't even crank the engine. I had purchased this unit as a replacement for my Husky Jump Pack which I had received about 3 years ago as a gift. The Husky outperformed this unit by leaps and bounds it would crank the P/U with a dead battery and had no problems starting my garden tractor. This B&D unit is a waste of money and I wouldn't recommend buying one if you are looking for a reliable jump pack for emergencies. Steer clear of this one. Stick with the Husky brand I give it a F-Read Best Reviews of Black & Decker 300 Amp Low-Profile Jump Starter Here
This jump starter was a waste of money. It worked once, then nothing. The battery status indicator showed the battery to be fully charged even when it was completely discharged. Frustrating and disappointing for a Black and Decker product.Want Black & Decker 300 Amp Low-Profile Jump Starter Discount?
This Black and Decker jump starter is conveinent and works great at first. If you keep this in your car (like most common-sensed Americans would) it will loose it's charge after about 2 months. Okay, no big deal, it's to be expected that these batteries need some maintenance. Unfortunately, when I went to recharge the battery, it wouldn't hold a charge! What's that I hear? Oh yeah, $60 down the pooper. WOULDN'T BUY AGAINWednesday, November 6, 2013
