I ordered this for my bar on a beach.. I have waiters that serve food on the beach and decided walkie talkies would be efficient and easier to radio the bartenders for orders.. The shipping was fast...packaging was great. The item says it works up to 15 miles. I couldn't get them to work a half of mile. they either cut off or pure static... Maybe its the area but I will still have to purchase new walkie talkies..The price was great but didn't work.I needed these for work to keep track of my guys and it works good in ideal conditions. range is very limited in an urban area. the rechargeable batteries are well worth the extra cash. You won't realize how small the handsets are until you take it out of the package and the fit almost in any pocket. not as loud as i would like it to be but you can hear the tones and transmissions in most noise polluted areas. I'm not sure on the durability of the handsets but i'll soon find out once we deploy these boys out in the field. Overall I'd buy some more.Friday, July 18, 2014
Motorola Razr V3, V3i, V3c, Slvr L7, L6, L2 Pebl U6, V190, Mpx200, V360, V323, V325 - Ch710 OEM Ori

The chargers work fine, so for the price, I got what I paid for. The battery however (also clearly a knockoff) held less of a charge than the one it was replacing. I asked for a replacement(OEM as advertised this time Please!) and another knockoff was sent. Im disappointed in AMAZON for this. I was told to return anything I was unhappy with. Ill lose out on shipping both ways.
one star because it worked, and they lied.
Motorola Counterfeit Identification Guidebook: Motorola, Inc.The car charger I ordered and got works great with my phone, but when I got it, it didn't look like the one the seller had pictured. He said it was on OEM. The one I received just had a small blue dot that lit up. The charger does look like it would be an OEM. I read from one seller that the one with the small blue dot was the newer model but I just checked the Motorola site and the one with the all blue glowing top is still the one they show. Reading a review by another buyer on another sellers site I found he had the same problem I did. So you may get the charger that is actually pictured and you may not depending on the seller. (Charger works great the reason for the 4stars and not 5stars is the charger did not look like the one pictured. If you really want what is pictured you may want to ask the seller if it is the one pictured, if you don't care what it looks like and just want one that works good then you can just order it)It's cheap, eforcity delivers quickly, however, may not actually be OEM. All of the OEM chargers I've seen (model number SYN0847) has glowing stylized "M" motorola logo. This item, however, does not; it only has a small blue led underneath the "M" that glows when it's plugged in. All of the other labeling on the charger looks authentic Motorola. Maybe a really good knockoff? Anyway, does the job just fine (see title), and, again, it beats paying $20 at cingular.Works perfectly and definitely can't beat the price. So glad I didn't go to Verizon and pay full price. Totally not necesary.geniune motorola product. works just like it should. No more problems with no-name chargers and the "INVLD CHARGER" message. using on a v323.
Premium Rapid Car Charger with Ic Chip for Samsung A900 Blade, X497, X496, X495, D357, T309, T319,

It's put together sturdy and durable. There's a bright, blue light as soon as you plug it in so that you know that it's working. It charges twice as fast as my home charger, which is nice when you're on the go.
The only drawback I have noticed is the fact that the plug is not marked as to which end is up when you plug it into the phone. It's not too hard to figure out, but an arrow or colored indicator would be nice.
Other than that, I'm very happy with my purchase and would have no reservations ordering this product or from this company again.I received it quickly and it works great!! I'm glad I didn't pay $20 for one in the store.Got the item fast and was exactly what I wanted. Works great too!

Blinc M1 Bluetooth 2.0 Integrated Communication Module Add On for All Helmets

1. There is a slight static in background
2. The volume is GREAT for listening to music
3. The Music continues to play when using Vlingo (Droid Incredible) when it reads txt messages to me so I can't really hear what the "voice" is saying.
4. Tried calling another person and it worked great...they heard me fine and I can hear them perfect (again have not tried this on the road yet).
5. I mounted mine via the clip and holds tight. Might switch to adhesive mount for cleaner look at a later date.
6. Nice Matte Black finish
7. The cord length is fine...had extra I had to tuck into the helmet.
8. I found the user interface a little annoying to get used to...sometimes holding the button down for the "5" seconds didn't turn off and that type of thing...just have to get used to it.
Will update review upon first ride and test with product.
***4/11/2011 Update***
Product is GREAT!
1. You can't hear static when riding.
2. At 80mph could still hear when calling and person on other end could hear perfect. (I did not have wind blocker on helmet)
3. Once I got used to Blinc M1 the user interface works better.
4. Awesome part of product is that when synced to phone (HTC Incredible) the knob on side can be used to switch between songs!! Great for shuffle option on phone!
5. Clip mount works great...has not moved yet!
6. At just $100 I would highly recommend the purchase...can't beat the convenience.PROS:
Paid $99 with free shipping. That's the cheapest one I've seen so far.
Controls are easy to use with gloves on, the dial for changing music tracks is very nice.
Loud. I can hear music at freeway speeds inside my full-face helmet.
People could understand me on the phone at 40mph.
CONS:
No dedicated plug for the charger, shares the same plug as the speaker/microphone assembly. You have to unplug one to plug the other in.
Proprietary charger plug.
The "clip" fastener was useless for me because the plug for the headset wiring sticks out pretty far and it would hit my shoulder and unplug. Using the stick-on mounting plate to place the unit higher on my helmet solved this.
OTHER:
Volume buttons could be bigger but they're adequate.
Play/Pause is handled by holding the "volume down" button for 3 seconds. Odd but acceptable.
It comes with a boom mic, it would have been better with a mic made specifically to go inside a full-face helmet.
Buy Blinc M1 Bluetooth 2.0 Integrated Communication Module Add On for All Helmets Now
I've owned the M1 for about a month now and have done about 250-300 miles using it. It does what it claims to do, which is why I gave it 4/5 stars but there are a few things that are really annoying.Setup is easy, however, if you own a SHOEI RF1000 Helmet don't expect this unit to fit as easily as you see in the videos on Youtube. Unlike most of the helmets you see portrayed in the demos online the Shoei RF1000 does not allow you to pop out the rear padding of the helmet. I had to shove (with a pencil eraser) the wire between the helmet and the padding till it got stuck up there. So Shoei owners, and people who own helmets with a permanently attached rear padding, beware.
The microphone works great (I can only speak as to full-face helmet use)and up to 60 miles an hour the person on the other line doesn't really notice any difference. You can carry a conversation at 70 MPH but you will be straining a little. The speakers work great but I have a constant low buzz/squeaky noise coming from them when I get a call. I have yet to use this device to listen to music but I imagine you could hear music just fine no matter the speed. I ride a Honda 919 with Sato pipes so if your bike is quiet you could possibly get even better results.
I wish that there was some kind of clip holding the usb cables from the wiring to the unit as over time, I can definitely see the cables just falling out of the unit while going fast.
This is easy to use and setup and works pretty well. I will update this review once I get another m1 to communicate with my wife.I bought this on a whim because I wanted to be able to listen to music on long rides. I opted for the permanent installation because the clip wouldn't fit my helmet. The clip was too small to fit around the bottom of my helmet (AFX DS-39 Awesome helmet BTW). So I carefully placed the speakers where they would fit comfortably on my ears, routed the wires through the bottom of the helmet and put everything back together. It was great, I had minimal wires showing where they connected to the unit and the speakers were just fine on the comfort scale.
I paired my phone to the unit and started playing some music. IT WORKED! Next, I wanted to test it on the road.
So I have a dual sport bike with a small Enduro tank bag. The tank bag has a velcro piece that sits on top with a clear plastic window that you can slide things in to. This, I figured, would be the perfect place to put my phone as it was the closest location to the bluetooth unit without being tied to my helmet (/joke).
Bottom line, this thing is crap. The phone was no more than 1.5 feet away from my helmet at all times and the signal would cut in and out. I'd rather listen to wind noise. It went a little something like this... 2 seconds of music, silence, 4 seconds of music, 5 seconds of silence, 2 seconds of music... you get the picture.
I could not, in good faith, recommend this to anyone in the market for a bluetooth helmet system. I am either going to sell this piece of junk or try to return it. I am very disappointed but that's what I get for buying the cheapest thing on the market.
Want Blinc M1 Bluetooth 2.0 Integrated Communication Module Add On for All Helmets Discount?
I bought the Blinc M1 cold with no background check at all. I figured if I didn't like it I would take it back. Anyway, no offense to the negative reviews but, it sounds to me like most of the problems are taken care of if you read the directions. Maybe I got a good one Idono but mine works like a charm. My range is over 20' its clear as a bell and phone calls work as they are supposed to. The only fault I can find so far is it is a little cumbersome to make an outgoing call while riding and listening to music. The unit has to be at idle to place an outgoing call. Safety measure, again Idono. I have only used it for about 2hrs but music, phone calls in and out, work great. It's plenty loud to hear over the bike even with aftermarket exhaust. I don't think I have it turned up as as loud as it will go. I haven't tried it with my gps or the intercom. I ride mostly solo so I really won't use the intercom. As of now would I buy another. Yep. I can't imagine one any better and for the price I'm very happy with it. Everything fit great and the wires tuck into the helmet with no problem. Like one reviewer said you do have to get the ear pieces just right but it only take a few minutes of trial and error. This seems to be what I have been waiting for at a very reasonable price.I would like to see a battery indicator and a way to charge the unit from 12 volts. These things would be nice but I like the low price better.

Schumacher MC-1 Manual Battery Charger

-dan z- This is a pretty simple trickle charger. It doesn't provide much feedback, other than when it is on and when it is off. I don't think there should be any worry of overcharging, as it was designed to provide a constant "trickle" of power to keep a battery at top charge. I have owned and used this unit for the past year without any problems. If you want more feedback, buy a unit with gauges. If you are just looking to keep your bike (or lawnmower) starting on demand and want to save a few bucks, this unit is very good.

This is definitely a trickle charger. I had it hooked up to a completely dead battery for 2 days, and my Mazdaspeed6 started right up! Impressed with the device since it is a LOT cheaper than alternatives. Don't purchase if you have a vehicle that you need to run within a day.Want Schumacher MC-1 Manual Battery Charger Discount?
I had a minor snafu (my fault) with it being shipped to the wrong address, but Amazon was amazing about helping me get it resolved and had it out to me just one day after the expected delivery date. So as far rapport goes, top notch. As for the device itself...it's really, really basic, but it gets the job done. The clamps are smaller than those on your standard jumper cables, which is a boon in my case, because I couldn't fit normal sized cables into the tight area where my terminals are located. It charged faster than I expected and it kept my poor dying battery alive about a month until I could afford a replacement, so it was definitely worth the money in my book. Plus, it's small enough to carry under my seat if I plan to travel long distances and want it there just in case.
Unfortunately, I had to use a heavy duty extension cable with it because I have no exterior outlets, but if you can park even relatively close the cable is plenty long and sturdy to stretch across a car width or so.

Schumacher XC10 SpeedCharge 10 Amp Battery Charger

I would buy something else, Dont Buy This Model..!!left my key on, my honda's battery is only 1 year old, it was almost dead, but it barely started, drove it around for about am hour running here and there. Then I hooked this thing up, set it to 6 amps (turtle?) and it said it would go to float charge after it was charged. After about 2 or 3 hours, I went to the garage and it smelled like battery acid, and I could here the battery boiling. Put the fluke meter on it ... 16.1 volts!!! I did some research, and the max equalizing charge voltage should be is 15.5v No way, its going back.

Exceeded my expectations. Easy to use. The LCD Screen is great. I would definitely buy again or give as a gift.Want Schumacher XC10 SpeedCharge 10 Amp Battery Charger Discount?
This is the second Schumacher charger that is going to the dump for me. The 1.5A says there's a problem with the battery on every battery I've put it on. This one charged the first battery I hooked it to. It boiled the second battery. The third battery was a 6V and sparked as soon as the charge started. I don't think the automatic voltage detection works and I think it sends too high voltage even on a 12V. I will be searching for a different brand.Tuesday, March 25, 2014

Odyssey PC625 Powersports Battery

Buy Odyssey PC625 Powersports Battery Now
The Odyssey PC625 Powersports Battery is a very good Battery. When I first received the battery, I was a little worried because it is very compact. I put it in my boat (it arrived fully charged) and went out to the lake. I tooled around for about 4 hours and still had a 1/4 charge. I liked it so much that I bought a second one and I now use two of these to power my 40 lbs thrust electric trolling motor. The small size allows me to easily fit both in my Minkota Battery enclosure. I have the motor on my square back canoe, and this set of batteries keep me trolling all day long. Smooth power delivery and long life as well as the compact sealed design make these batteries ideal for powering small boat motors. It takes and holds a charge very well. It is a little more expensive than a similar battery (that is larger, heavier, and may not work as well) but I believe it is completely worth the price. I would recommend these without hesitation.Read Best Reviews of Odyssey PC625 Powersports Battery Here
heheh, I'm going to be the outlier here believe it or not I use this in my car! :) I think this really shows the power and versatility of this battery. I modified the back of my car to open up to allow for easier working on the engine, but this required me to tilt the trunk 90 degrees the original battery was a normal battery, so this would translate to spilling it's contents all over everything, which is generally what you don't want to do. So I searched around and looked for what my options were in terms of a sealed battery that could still put out enough amps to turn over my car more than a few times and not leave me stranded in some parking lot. A couple other Lotus owners also identified this battery (which they used for weight reasons), and I switch to it about two years ago without a single issues. Now I don't recommend this for everyone (or really anyone), because there are quite a few caveats such as I had to put a battery quick-disconnect on it because the parasitic load from the alarm would drain it dead in about a week. But I think the fact that I can use the battery and have it perform so well in an environment it most likely was not intended to be in speaks volumes of its quality.A bigger battery might run longer but this battery doesn't weigh much and its easy to carry around.I thought I'd try this one out because of all the good reviews. You can see a video I made of this battery being used on my inflatable boat here with a trolling motor by clicking on ''By Rod Hays ''.The video is on ''Intex Seahawk II Boat Set''

Dual XGPS200 Portable GPS and Battery Cradle for iPod Touch

- Allows iPod touch to be used for car and boat navigation, golfing, hiking, geocaching, cycling, or a number of other uses
- High-sensitivity GPS receiver provides location information to most GPS-aware apps
- Built-in rechargeable battery makes the GPS fully portable and provides up to 10 hours of use on a single charge
- Amplified speaker makes it easier to hear spoken navigation instructions, or use 3.5-mm audio out to connect to stereo
- Note:Windshield mounting kit, and 12V cigarette lighter adapter are not included - (XGPS200CK sold separately)
However, getting a call while the gps is giving me verbal directions can be a problem. So, this is the perfect solution and I do not use up my data limit. However, it only works on gps apps that can preload the maps, like Navigon.
So Totally portable for walking, biking and driving. Long battery life. I love it!
Note for recording tracks.
My favorite app for exploring and tracking new bike and hiking trails is MotionX. I can track my trail with the display off. See where I am on Navigon, and download maps for that trail track later using WIFI. I am one happy camper!

DUAL XGPS251 initially worked with my iPod Touch 4th Gen.A couple of months ago it stopped providing GPS location. We spoke with Dual tech support and they were unable to restore the GPS function. So today I received a replacement under warranty (cost us $17 in return shipping.) The replacement unit did not work, so again I called DUAL tech support. This time, they told me that apparently the XGPS251 does not work with the current iOS 6.1.3! (a customer had told them that when they reverted to a previous iOS it did work again)
Unfortunately, Apple does not support reverting to a previous iOS. So we're stuck with a useless GPS cradle after wasting $17 to return hardware that was not worse than the warranty replacement DUAL sent.
RIDICULOUS that DUAL has not corrected their unit to work with the current iOS, especially considering that it's not even a year old.Not a bad product. It does provide a significant battery boost in a fairly small package, but be advised that the GPS and ipod charging do not work at the same time. GPS function also works, but it takes a long time to find its initial location. You are advised to turn off wifi while searching for GPS lock, which is rather annoying, especially in a device without a cellular connection. Wifi can be turned back on once GPS is locked, but still a bother.
Even with GPS off, and standing outside with clear sky above and just a few trees nearby, getting a GPS lock can take a very long time. It took as long as five minutes in many cases.

Nature Power 55086 6-Watt Folding Monocrystalline Solar Panel with Power Bank 5.0

Regarding the solar panel, my experience has been different. The solar panel is about the size of a paper open and can be closed to half the size, it has magnets to keep it closed and a small pouch one side to insert the battery pack while charging. The problem with the solar panel is that it fails to produce the rated watts even at midday without clouds and directly facing the sun. My solar panel is only producing about 1 watt. So when using the solar panel to charge the battery pack takes a whole week, which is impractical. Then I tried another brand 5 watts solar panel and was able to charge the battery pack in a day and a half. I contacted Nature Power to let them know that my solar panel was not producing the advertised power, their response was basically that it produce what ever it says on the box and ignored me after that."Even though I exposed the solar panel to bright sunlight for several days, the Power Bank unit got nearly no charge. And when I tried to recharge my iphone, the Power Bank stopped working within minutes. This was very disappointing, to say the least.
