Jabra EASYGO (Tangle Free) Retractable Car Charger Adapter

Jabra EASYGO Retractable Car Charger AdapterI like that I can use it on either my phone or my headset. Takes up less space in my console. Only used it once so far.

The charger works just like I wanted to. I drive truck for a living and my power sources for it is in just the right place to charge my blue tooth.

Really liked the thought of the retractable wire for convenience in my car. However, the product stopped working after only 4 months. I kept it in the glove box where nothing would be mushing it, so no reason for it to stop.

Motorola TX500 Universal Bluetooth In-Car Speakerphone - Black - Retail Packaging

Motorola TX500 Universal Bluetooth In-Car Speakerphone - Black - Retail PackagingIn a matter of moments, I paired this with a HTC DROID INCREDIBLE Android Phone (Verizon Wireless). After making a few calls from the parked position, i took my first road trip. With the windows up, I could easily carry on a conversation at highway speeds.

Next up, I paired an Apple iPhone 4 Black Smartphone 32GB (AT&T).

The speaker phone did much better than the built-in hands-free on both phones. My callers reported that my voice quality was clear, free of echoes and not much background noise. On my end, the voices came through clear and loud. Most voice commands were received correctly by both phones. I had somebody call me from the car and their voice quality was very good and understandable.

This speaker phone can pair with up to 6 devices and use 2 at the same time. In theory, you can take calls from 2 cell phones at the same time. I never tried this but I'll update the review if I ever do.

Compared to a Bluetooth headset, this is in a different league. With 45 hours of talk time and 6 months of stand-by, I haven't turned mine off. I've only recharged it once this month more out of habit than necessity.

The voice prompts make this device very intuitive. I'm impressed with the overall quality and simplicity of this speaker phone.

In my state, NJ, this would qualify as a hands-free device and would be legal to make and receive calls on while driving. IMHO

The Motorola TX500 is my second bluetooth hands free device from Motorola. Since I really liked the Motorola Roadster Bluetooth In-Car Speakerphone (Retail Packaging), I would like to compare the TX500 with it. Basically the Motorola TX500 is a simplified version of the Roadster. All the bells and whistles that the Roadster had were removed. The TX500 focuses only on the basic features. Taking calls and making calls. The voice guide (or voice prompts) feature that the Motorola bluetooth hands free devices commonly has works very well and thanks to this, pairing of the phones to the device could not be simpler. You can turn off the voice guide by pressing and holding the volume button until you hear saying 'voice intructions off', if you do not like it. I connected two phones to the TX500 and had no problem to pair those (a Verizon Fascinate and a Verizon basic feature Samsung phone).

The best parts of the TX500 are good voice quality and strong battery life. The call quality was very good and the TX500 lasted 2 weeks without any problem. For your information, I did not make many calls while I am driving, though. I charged my Roadster once a week, so the TX500 lasted twice much with a single charge.

The things that I do not like of the TX500 are that all the features that I loved so much from the Roadster were gone. The TX500 does not deliver the music from your phone. And the TX500 is not capable of working as an FM transmitter that I liked the most from the Roadster. The Roadster sends every music and sound from your phone to the FM radio in your car flawlessly and I have been so happy with this feature since my car does not have any auxillary input for the audio. And the TX500 cannot sense the vibration of your car. What this means is that you should manually turn on the TX500 every time you hop on your car. The Roadster automatically detects the motion of your car and turns itself on whenever you get on the car. This was one of the best feature I have ever seen from any bluetooth device for a vehicle.

Therefore, if you need a bluetooth hands free device with solid basic features such as good voice quality and long battery life, the TX500 is for you. However, if you need a motion-sensing bluetooth device with an FM transmitter built in, go for the Motorola Roadster.

Pairing this with my iPhone 3GS couldn't have been easier. The slightly mechanical female voice could talk even a five year old through the very simple pairing process. Calling on the device is simple as all get out and in my car, which is not a jeep or convertible, I have no problem understanding and being understood by the party I'm talking too.

I do have an earpiece that I used to use, but my significant other is often with me when I'm driving and is always, always, interrupting, wanting to be part of the conversation, now it's like the other party is in the car with us. Five big stars from me for Motorola.

This little device does everything it claims. I use an iPhone 4 and have been wanting a hands-free solution while driving my older 1999 Windstar van without spending $$$ to install a system. I've tried BlueTooth ear pieces and headsets before, but sound quality has been horrendous as is battery life. I saw this Motorola and hoped it would work, and and happy to report that you need to buy one of these ASAP. The sound quality is VERY good for a small device, I have no trouble hearing it at all with the A/C cranked (and believe me, we do a lot of that in Phoenix, already had a 100 degree day in March). But even more of a surprise, the sound quality to the person you are talking to is better than I had hoped. My wife is picky about that, because in the past with other BT devices we've dealt with tinny sound, echo, white noise, you name it. But she says this sounds VERY good and I trust that opinion. I called my work voicemail and left a message to hear what it sounded like, and was equally happy. Understand that a speakerphone sounds like a speakerphone, but there are some that sound good for what they are, and Motorola got it right with this device.

Two other big plusses: one is the huge amount of talk time, which I hope lasts a while as batteries do wear down. I'll post back later about that. But the other neat feature is the voice instructions when turning it on: it tells you exactly when to hit the button and connect and how much battery life you have left, same way a GPS device talks to you. Pairing this device is a breeze, and every time I turn it on it instantly connects. Nice!

I have found my hands-free solution, and it will work in any car I drive, even rentals when travelling on business. It'll pair with more than one phone so several family members can use it in the family car. I think it's a no-brainer to say "highly recommended"!

***UPDATE: May 11, 2011***

I've been using this thing every day and it has been absolutely flawless. It pairs almost instantly, and the sound quality continues to marvel, especially to the person on the other end. All I have to do is turn on Bluetooth on my iPhone 4 when I hop in the van (I don't leave BT on 24/7, just wastes battery life), and then I turn on this X500 and in seconds the female voice says connected and reports the battery life (Low, Medium, or High). I've charged it ONCE the day I reviewed it and it's still going, battery level "High". Great device.

I really love this device! It is super easy to set up and works perfectly. The speaker works well, calls are audible and I have received favorable feedback from people spoken to from the Motorola TX500.

You can use the Motorola TX500 straight out of the box since it is delivered at medium battery level. When you turn it on for the first time, you are directed to go to the bluetooth setting on your phone. It works with any bluetooth enabled cell phone. A pin number is provided, if needed. A female voice walks you through the connection process and although the voice is a little mechanical, it's easy to understand and speaks English only. I paired it with an iPhone4 (all you have to do is turn bluetooth on and the iPhone and Motorola TX500 make the connections for you) and Blackberry Bold without issue. There is an audible battery status given and a light on the side provides constant battery usage with red meaning low, purple/medium and blue/high.

It clips securely onto your visor and once fully charged, you can remove the cord for a sleeker look. There are four large buttons on the front, mute button, volume down, volume up and the call button. The call button answers calls, places calls (you will be prompted once pressed calls are voice activated), places calls on hold to answer another incoming call, and ends calls. Also, it allows you to take calls from 2 cell phones at the same time and most importantly, it can store up to 6 cell phone connections. This is a great feature for families. It refers to the phones by number, in the order paired to this device.

I spend a lot of time running errands and I love being able to use my cell phone while driving with minimum effort and without worry. I just need to remember to turn the bluetooth off when I'm home since Motorola TX500's range can interfere with calls inside the home. Two clicks and problem solved. I really love how customer service is provided by telephone (1-800-331-6456) and through their website. Too many companies have stopped provided telephone support and I value those who still offer this option since sometimes, speaking to a live person is the best option.

BlueAnt USEN-BAW-SENSE Bluetooth Handsfree Car Speakerphone - Retail Packaging - Black

BlueAnt USEN-BAW-SENSE Bluetooth Handsfree Car Speakerphone - Retail Packaging - BlackI have been selling wireless since 1996 and have used multiple headsets, hands free solutions, etc. This has the best voice quality of any in-car set up I have used. I was using a Jawbone, which I still have, and is excellent. I am just tired of having something hanging on my ear X hours a day. I am a gadget freak for sure but I am tired of the tool on my ear.

I made some calls at 80mph in my wife's minivan on the turnpike to friends to get their feedback before using it for business and they did no know I was on a speakerphone...that's good enough for me. The voicedialing, as with any voicedialing feature, sucks. They all suck. The voice answer did not work either say 'ok' to answer...yeah my kids were laughing at me saying 'ok' 6 times and then the call went to voicemail because it never answered. But I expected that...so just reach up and tap the answer button...no worries. My concern was voice quality, and it passed the test.

The auto phonebook transfer to a blackberry will not work from the device but will work if you do it from your BBerry's blutooth menu and push it to the device. It took about 10 minutes for my 1500+ contacts to transfer. I only did that so I could hear the name of the inbound caller, which is cool. The reality is we all have our phones right next to us when the call comes in and we can look at the phone's screen if need be.

01/09 UPDATE: I got a new car and well...I have to turn this off for business calls. It's just not good enough. What changed? Well, just my car. There is nothing worn with the device. So maybe the cars insulation is coming into play? I am driving a C6 Corvette and I am certain it is not as insulated as my previous car (Audi TT) or my wife's minivan. That being said, if your car is well insulated from road noise you should love this device. Cheers, Josh.

Being a fan of the supertooth 2, I got the supertooth 3 for the text to speech feature which is supposed to announce the caller's name based on your address book. Problem is that I could never get it to say the caller's name, instead it will only say the number. I'm using it with a blackberry 8830 and have also tried it with a Mot Krzr with the same results. Contacted the company over the phone who's support is great but they couldn't get it to say the caller's name either and suggested the I send it back. Not good for a new product.

I'm sending it back and we'll see what happens with the next one.

----------------------------------------------

Update 6-13-08:

We still can't get the ST3 to announce the callers name either. We are on our third one after returning two of them. In our company we have BB8830's and Pearls. Tried on both with no luck, only phone numbers are announced. Also tried on two Mot KRZR's also with no luck either. Called vendor three times now and they had me do the batt thing also. They finally said that our vendor may have had a "bad batch". This one is really hard to believe. I called our vendor who is not happy that this "may be the case". I'm now waiting for blueant to send me an envelope to send the unit back and to then send me one directly from the factory.

I'm not holding my breath on this. Guess it's like software... never by version 1.0 of anything. For a few weeks, there was nothing out there (internet search) that pointed to this problem but now it's everywhere.

Aside from that, the unit performs as good as the Supertooth Light verison.

------------------

7-3-08: Still haven't received the product return package from the manufacturer. We are still getting the Supertooth 3 device for clients though because the other "advertised" features do work and work well and so far is the most "hands free".

After much research here on Amazon, I decided to order the BlueAnt Supertooth3 to solve the dilemma of California's new cellphone law. I did not want any such product, but some of the available solutions are definitely less wanted than others. The Plantronics 510 Voyager would be good for a person who doesn't mind wearing gear and doesn't use sunglasses or other glasses, but I'm not a headset/earpiece kinda gal. The BlueAnt Light, with the protruding mic, sounded like a major irritation just because of the temperamental mic that would get stuck. For me, the lack of Caller ID made it unacceptable. I don't answer unnecessary calls while driving. The Jabra speakerphone does not come with a home charger. That is ridiculous, and I would never buy a product that required another purchase, when it should come with it in the first place. I saw so few reviews for the Supertooth3, which was disappointing, but decided to write one myself.

I received it yesterday. It took just under an hour to charge, and it comes with a home charger, car charger and two magnet clips. It wouldn't sync the phonebook from my LG8300, not even one at a time contacts. This means that Caller ID announces the incoming number, not the name, but that is okay with me. I had never used voice dial on my phone, but the Supertooth booklet instructed that one voice tag was necessary on the phone in order to use voice dial. So I made one voice dial call from my phone, and then tried it on the Supertooth. It worked fine. I can say, "Call Sonia Home", and it dials Sonia's home phone as opposed to her cellphone. In order to enable handsfree voice answer, one must depress the volume button until it gives the voice message that it has been done. Another reviewer of the BlueAnt Light said that the flashing blue light was driving her insane, but that light lets you know the device is working as it should. For some reason, it was not flashing right after I got it and not working, but I assume that is because I did not know how to use it.

The most annoying thing by far is in the way I have to use it, due to the fact that if I get out of my car and am within 30 feet, the BlueAnt will answer the call and I can't take it on my phone. I make many short trips and in and out of buildings at a short distance. So I have to turn off the Supertooth3 before I get out of the car, and turn it back on when I get back in. What I don't know is whether it is necessary to re-enable the voice answer by depressing the volume button every time I turn it on, but that is what I have been doing. I also wonder if these devices are made to withstand the extreme heat in the car in summer. I certainly hope so, because we have weeks at a time of 100+ degrees. I also hope it is made sturdily enough to handle being turned off and on frequently.

The voice quality of calls both ways is better than the Garmin Nuvi 360 by far. The magnets are strong. The clip was kind of hard to get on my thick visor, and I won't be able to use the business card slots on the back of the visor, but the device is small and it looks cute. It's easy to take it with you and reattach it. The battery life is said to be 800 hours if you never turn it off, and much more if you do. I will be turning it off every night.

I'd say this is the best product for this purpose, which for me is simply to comply with a law that I wish had not been passed. I find all devices to be a distraction, and a cellphone alone is less distraction than in combination with other things. Guess what? Californians can still text message while they drive! Doesn't that make you want to visit? ;)

Just as the first reviewer. I'm having the same problem with my supertooth 3. I have an Iphone and it will only announce the number not the name and Blueant requested I send it back. I will update this as soon as I recieve the new one. And yes customer service at Blueant is excellent......However, I do pay shipping back to them....that's not so good

AND NOW FOR THE UPDATE : 7/5/08 My third Blue Ant st3 is all that !.....this one works perfectly with my iphone , the first two worked fine but did not say the name of the caller.....the early models of st3 do not work with all phones.....it was software issue that has been resolved....the key here is if indeed your having problems....getting an st3 with a higher serial #....Blue Ant customer service is outstanding....Talk to Dave. he'll make it right. .... oh and i would now give this product AND OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE a five star rating !!!

Want BlueAnt USEN-BAW-SENSE Bluetooth Handsfree Car Speakerphone - Retail Packaging - Black Discount?

I really wanted to give this 5 stars but it just wasn't perfect. How about 4.5 stars. The product pretty much worked as advertised. Uploading the address book was a snap. In minutes I had the product up and running. Controls were easy to use and voice features appeared to work just fine. I spent some time using the product in a variety of conditions and everything appears to work perfectly. Incoming sound appeared to be very good and I had no trouble hearing callers even in somewhat noisy conditions. Callers reported to me that my voice sounded a bit hollow or had a slight echo but they had no trouble hearing me. Pairing and unpairing has worked perfectly so I have been very happy using this. It has been a much better solution to me then a earpiece. Unlike other users, I actually had more trouble with the number caller ID then the name caller ID. It called out the names perfectly but seemed to have occasional trouble completing saying the number. At times it would cut part of the number off. On to the pros and cons:

ProsEasy to set up and use. Generally does everything it advertises athough not quite perfectly. Good battery life and excellent sound caracteristics, easy pairing and unpairing make this a joy to use. The case is attractive and very functional with the magnetic clips that let you unhook the unit quickly. Voice controls work perfectly.

ConsInstruction set could be better. You have to sync the address book when you add a new contact. An automated sync would have been a very nice feature. Caller ID software need just a bit more work.

Overall a very nice package. I recommend this product.

GudCraft 10W 15W Max Vertical Wind Turbine Wind Generator

GudCraft 10W 15W Max Vertical Wind Turbine Wind GeneratorI purchased this wind turbine because I like the longevity and stability of the VAWT design and because I was looking for a small device that could power small battery packs for use in extended camping.

The product came securely packed in foam with no damage to any of the parts. As I removed the parts from the packaging I immediately realized that the list price of this product should probably have been no more than $40.00.

The generator assembly and the pillar are quite heavy and appear to be made of cast iron. They are much larger and heavier than a 50W generator I already have. The entire device weights 72 oz (4.5 lbs). The pillar alone weights 19 oz with the generator taking up most of the rest of the weight. The generator assembly spins very smoothly. When the pillar is connected to the generator the axis extending up from the generator is not vertical. It appears that the pipe comprising the pillar was cut at an angle before the top plate was welded into position. This creates mounting problems.

The blades appear to be made of cast aluminum and are airfoil shaped. One of the blades was flattened in the middle as if a large weight had stamped it. Each blade has two rivets that are used to hold it in place on the horizontal flanges. Unfortunately, the rivets are not uniformly placed. Some are higher or lower than others. This means that when the device is assembled the flanges cannot be perfectly horizontal. The blades are strong and should last a long time.

The weakness of the entire system are the horizontal flanges that connect the blades to the generator axis. They appear to be of very thin stamped aluminum. When you pick them up by the center the outer edges droop. They should have been made thicker. Further, the slots at the outer edge of the flange where the blades are to be inserted are smaller than the blades. This means you have to enlarge the hole in the flange (a dangerous proposition when they are so flimsy) or trim off part of the trailing edge of the blade. Even with the trailing edge trimmed, they are very difficult to insert into place. The weight of the blade can bend the end of the flange if you let go of it. You must support the flange while forcing the blade into the hole. You must take your time and be very careful.

Once the entire device is put together you must treat it very delicately. The weight of the generator and pillar can easily damage the flanges. After spending over two hours putting the device together I took it outside to see if it would turn in the wind. It is not exactly a "low wind" generator, but it does turn. During a lull in the wind I set it on a flat surface. A small gust of wind tipped the device over. It fell on its side permanently damaging the flanges. If you attach this device to a load, be sure that the blades are not spinning. Otherwise the axis may tear through the flanges as the generator resistance

increases.

If the manufacturer will take care of the flanges and make the top of the pillar horizontal this could be a great product. Until then you probably shouldn't waste your money.

It comes unassembled, and no instructions. See that DVD on "what's in the box"? It's not in the box. I went to the Gudcraft website, and the tech forum guy e-mailed me a PDF on how to put it together. OK, so I put it together, now what? There are 2 PC boards hanging by wires, what are they? How do you hook it up to a battery? Hello! I called them in Washington, and although the woman who answered the phone tried to be helpful, I was on hold for so long, I eventually got disconnected. But she did tell me there was no DVD, they sent a paper manual. Yes, but the paper manual that I was emailed only tells you how to put the blades on.... I'm still hopeful that I will get this on my travel trailer, and add wind power to my solar, and I'm hoping, it will indeed charge a car battery like I was told by tech support. But this lack of instructions is just plain stupid, and I hope this wind generator performs better than the good folks at GudCraft.

Dear GudCraft

This vertical wind turbine was shipped with no instructions for Assembly if a person was not mechanically inclined they would be lost! I put it together. I would like you to send me a schematic diagram of the generator and the regulator circuit so that I can understand this itemlike how do you stop it if the winds are excessive so it does not destroy itself horizontal turbines come with that feature. Also the quality of this item is not worth $189.00 I feel like I really got ripped off, and I would not order anything else from your company period.

Thank you

This vertical turbine wind generator came with no instructions or paperwork whatsoever nothing about assembly or the electronics needed to connect it. After calling the manufacturer and then downloading assembly instructions (still nothing on the circuit needs) it never turned even one revolution when set up in a windy location. Unless you live on the shore or in some other VERY windy place, I don't recommend this unit to anyone. I returned it as a defective design.

Want GudCraft 10W 15W Max Vertical Wind Turbine Wind Generator Discount?

I have to agree with others as there is no manual so I looked at the picture on amazon to see which way the blades went on. After putting it together I found out the generator is an alternator, the blade direction doesn't matter. It appears the turbine is a 3 phase alternator which didn't matter which way I spun the blades to produce electricity. The plug with a circuit board on it has keyed plugs so you can't plug in the board the wrong way but if you must know it is a full wave bridge rectifier for the 3 phase input with a filter capacitor on the output of the diodes and a 7812 voltage regulator to keep the output voltage to 12v dc. The Red and Black wires are the output of the 12 volts and there is a spare plug on the end so you can hook up to it via soldering. You could just cut off the plug for the red/black wires and tie them into your circuit. I turned on a fan in my room to test the turbine with and was able to get 8-9v with the fan on high which was enough to give me .02 amps on my solar charger which boosts the voltage to the 12v battery to trickle charge it. Although the blades go on very tight, I used a small needle nose pliers to pound down the arms. The arms need to be tight to keep the blades from sliding around and getting loose and sloppy. Personally I have no trouble with the turbine and like the small size of it and with my charger it doesn't have to produce 12v to charge my battery. It appears to be very quiet running. So far So good. Time will tell on how long it runs without problems.

Lincoln Lubrication 1244 PowerLuber 12 Volt Cordless Grease Gun with Battery Kit

Lincoln Lubrication 1244 PowerLuber 12 Volt Cordless Grease Gun with Battery KitThis is one great grease gun! The fact that you can hold the connector with one hand while greasing makes all the difference! No more trying to pump the handle with the barrel of the grease gun against your knee! Just push it on and pull the trigger.

The product is well built and comes with good instructions. My case does not have spots for two extra tubes of grease, could be a vendor difference, or an update.

I bought this item after having a similar item from Harbor Freight fail. Although both items were called the same thing, there is no comparison in their construction, quality, or performance. The Lincoln unit is head and shoulders superior. This is the one to get.

Buy Lincoln Lubrication 1244 PowerLuber 12 Volt Cordless Grease Gun with Battery Kit Now

Ive seen these things go through years of systematic abuse. Dragged on pavement, slammed, dropped endless times on concrete, and fiercely cussed because they simply ran out of grease. I saw a fellow smash his toe, and out of pure rage, he went completely insane and threw one of these things into a solid block wall not 4 feet away. It survived, having already suffered at least 3 years of abuse by numerous other people. The plastic part surrounding the motor is vulnerable, i have seen them break. I finally bought one. I have no regrets or complaints. Nothing cheap looking, sounding, or acting about them. Very nice set in a rugged, attractive carrying case. Nothing you would want to put in your wife's stocking or buy your girlfriend on her birthday, but definitely a nice addition in the guys garage. These are exceptional grease guns and I do recomment one. I dont know much about the other brands but if its not a Lincoln, then I just don't care.

This tool makes greasing equipment so much more enjoyable! Even if you only use it for something such as a garden tractor, keeping one hand free to place the hose onto the grease fitting and one hand to run the gun is well worth while.

This is the second Lincoln PowerLuber I've owned. The first went along with the rest of my construction equipment when I sold my excavation business. I have a couple of tractors and hated having to hold the grease tip on the fitting with one hand while trying to pump the handle with the other. Not a problem now. Also, in cold weather, or with stubborn fittings, the gun puts out more pressure than lever or hand pump guns. I recommend it. The 12 volt unit works fine for residential or small farm use. The 18 volt is best if you own more than a couple of pieces of equipment.

Dual XGPS200 Portable GPS and Battery Cradle for iPod Touch

Dual XGPS200 Portable GPS and Battery Cradle for iPod Touch
  • Allows iPod touch to be used for car and boat navigation, golfing, hiking, geocaching, cycling, or a number of other uses
  • High-sensitivity GPS receiver provides location information to most GPS-aware apps
  • Built-in rechargeable battery makes the GPS fully portable and provides up to 10 hours of use on a single charge
  • Amplified speaker makes it easier to hear spoken navigation instructions, or use 3.5-mm audio out to connect to stereo
  • Note:Windshield mounting kit, and 12V cigarette lighter adapter are not included - (XGPS200CK sold separately)

I prefer the Navigon GPS app for GPS in the car. It is faster (no battery charging time lag when I start), gives me more information than my Garmin, (like speed limits) takes addresses from my address book, has better lane change info, and I can take it with me on bike rides and hikes.

However, getting a call while the gps is giving me verbal directions can be a problem. So, this is the perfect solution and I do not use up my data limit. However, it only works on gps apps that can preload the maps, like Navigon.

So Totally portable for walking, biking and driving. Long battery life. I love it!

Note for recording tracks.

My favorite app for exploring and tracking new bike and hiking trails is MotionX. I can track my trail with the display off. See where I am on Navigon, and download maps for that trail track later using WIFI. I am one happy camper!

It was always a crapshoot whether or not it would sync up and provide GPS capability to supported apps.

Then it just quit getting a lock and will not get a GPS sync at all.

I just use it for the battery capability for my iPod Touch...

I will never even consider purchasing a product from Dual Electronics ever again..

Lesson learned... money wasted... C'est la vie...:( Live and learn...

DUAL XGPS251 initially worked with my iPod Touch 4th Gen.

A couple of months ago it stopped providing GPS location. We spoke with Dual tech support and they were unable to restore the GPS function. So today I received a replacement under warranty (cost us $17 in return shipping.) The replacement unit did not work, so again I called DUAL tech support. This time, they told me that apparently the XGPS251 does not work with the current iOS 6.1.3! (a customer had told them that when they reverted to a previous iOS it did work again)

Unfortunately, Apple does not support reverting to a previous iOS. So we're stuck with a useless GPS cradle after wasting $17 to return hardware that was not worse than the warranty replacement DUAL sent.

RIDICULOUS that DUAL has not corrected their unit to work with the current iOS, especially considering that it's not even a year old.

Not a bad product. It does provide a significant battery boost in a fairly small package, but be advised that the GPS and ipod charging do not work at the same time. GPS function also works, but it takes a long time to find its initial location. You are advised to turn off wifi while searching for GPS lock, which is rather annoying, especially in a device without a cellular connection. Wifi can be turned back on once GPS is locked, but still a bother.

Even with GPS off, and standing outside with clear sky above and just a few trees nearby, getting a GPS lock can take a very long time. It took as long as five minutes in many cases.

WKA12-12F2 Replacement Battery 12 volt 12ah F2 terminals

WKA12-12F2 Replacement Battery 12 volt 12ah F2 terminalsI just had to buy 2 of these batteries for an APC UPS power supply. This is the second time I have replaced these batteries and the last set of Werker batteries lasted 3 years. I have used Werker batteries and had reasonable success with them and the price was 60% of buying the original replacement batteries.

I did have one battery go bad after a little over a year so that is why I gave it only 4 stars. The warranty is for 1 year. (Same as the warranty on the original replacement batteries)

They are good quality and lower in price for the equivalent performance. They are 12 VDC batteries rated at 12 AH. When you are changing them in a UPS, make sure that you remove any external battery jumper (If you have one on your UPS) for safety reasons. Also carefully remove and save your internal connection cables and make sure that the fuse in still ok that is located between the two batteries.

They will not be fully charged when you get them so they will take at least 24 hours to reach peak performance. Based on the results I have seen in my personal experience these batteries are a good buy.

Quality, value for product, fit well into battery compartment and I would recommend this product to anyone needing this product.

Buy WKA12-12F2 Replacement Battery 12 volt 12ah F2 terminals Now

It is true that this is not a Werker brand battery, but it is a replacement for the listed Werker brand battery at a very reasonable price. The one that I received from eCom arrived quickly but just packed within bubble wrap and a couple of bubble-wrap envelopes. However, it seemed to survive the trip from New York to Arizona and went right in my UPS and tested fine with almost no charging time before I tested it. The date code on the battery was a little over a year old. So only time will tell how long the battery lasts for me and whether I get the service out of it that I got from the Werker battery that it replaced. I will update this review if I encounter problems--otherwise you can assume that things are still working fine for me.

Universal FM Transmitter for any Phone, Mp3 Player, iPhone, Ipod, anything with a 3.5mm Jack

Universal FM Transmitter for any Phone, Mp3 Player, iPhone, Ipod, anything with a 3.5mm JackThis device does what it claims to do and more. I'm looking to do a road trip so I may do another review. What I have tested so far is how well the device transmits from my sony a track hard disc drive. (like a mp3 player but better) As soon as you turn the device on it sets its self to 88.10 which in California where I live is a static station. I set my tuner to 88.10 while device is on before hooking up my music player and I get absolute silence. Not even a humming noise from speaker what so ever. I plug in my music player while it was already on and the crisp clear sound came threw my radio like a charm. It was so crystal clear I was almost astonished. I then took my device out of the room into another room. The quality had not been effected. I will probably test ow far I can go before the device starts to lose its signal. If your using this for your car there is no need to worry about distance from this device and how well it transmits for it can be anywhere in your car with out any loss of transmission. For fun I decided to set the tuner to 98.5 which is a well known station called 98 rock. The device completely overrides the signal of the official station. Just think anyone listening to there favorite station pulling up next to you while the device is set to the station there listening to. You could force other people to listen to your music. Ok that might be a bit wrong and it should be set to a static station so you do not bother others with your music but it could be a fun prank to pull in your friends car especially if you change the frequency to what ever they change it to every time they change it.

So I bought this item from an FYE store, should have returned it the next day. It could be where I live but there are NO open channels. And the strength of the signal? Terrible! I have a couple presets saved and even those channels over power this device. I spent $30 on it my last one went to 87s where there are no channels that cost me $20 and was better than this. It was a Griffin same design without the useless features.

I bought one of these and ended up giving it to my sister for a road trip. I then ordered a second. I had troubles with it from day 1. Could not turn it off, so it would drain the batteries completely. Even plugging it in didn't help. I couldn't get it tuned, and with it draining the batteries over night, it wouldn't store the channel once I did get it set. The one I gave my sister fell apart a few days after her road trip. Very disappointed in this item.

OEM Car Charger for your brand new Sanyo Cellular Phone, Version 012!

OEM Car Charger for your brand new Sanyo Cellular Phone, Version 012!I purchased two of these for our LG Chocolate phones. The price was excellent and the chargers are just as described. They charge more quickly than the LG wall charger that came with the phone. Highly recommend this car charger and the seller. Great service!!

I'm not impressed with this product. Granted, for the price, I should have known better. I bought it a few years ago and now it only charges my phone if placed juuuuust so in the phone's outlet. I think it may have contributed to my last phone's charging outlet breaking as well.

This is a great product. It is very well made. It fits the plug on the LG phone (LX150) perfectly and does not heat up appreciably during its use and provides appropriate power levels for charging and/or use while in the car. It was shipped quickly and we were told accurately when the unit would arrive. Finally there are many ripoffs out there being advertized as being of this quality and they aren't, so be cautious! Finally, to boot, this was not at all expensive as most cable type charging units tend to be! On LG's own website the same item (advertized to be made by LG) for the LX150 was $30.

Yuasa YUA1200901 Smart Shot Battery Charger

Yuasa YUA1200901 Smart Shot Battery ChargerThis charger has worked well for me, and I was amazed at how fast it was delivered. I ordered it on a Sunday night, and it arrived Tuesday afternoon. Gotta love that.

I was looking for a small charger for charging mid-sized sealed lead acid batteries that I have in some lawn and garden equipment, a motorcycle, and a gate opener.

These are your typical batteries about the size of a small brick. These batteries typically have small plug-in connectors, rather than large automotive terminals, and so typical auto chargers don't work as they have clips that are way too large.

This is a three-level charger, so it can both charge up batteries that are low, and can maintain a battery (float charge) without overcharging it. Lead acid batteries need to be topped up every few months even if they aren't used, and this charger is good for that purpose. Failure to maintain batteries will cause early failure.

The charger also has pluggable ends, and comes with alligator clips and ring terminals, so the one charger can be used with different battery styles.

This charger is too small for charging dead automotive batteries, at least within a reasonable amount of time. It provides up to 0.9 amps of charging power. That's ideal for these mid-size batteries, but auto size batteries need larger 4 to 20 amp chargers.

A friend told me that this was the charger he most often saw used at kart races, and thought very highly of them.

The charger is also pretty small, so it doesn't take up much space on the shelf, or in the tool box.

This is a must have product to maintain batteries. I use 2 to maintain the ones in my motorhome in the winter, and another to use on the battery in my 74 Nova SS, the batteries are always in top condition

Bought this charger before Christmas to winterize my Yuasa motorcycle battery. So far so good, does exactly what it says and hook up is simple. Just plug to the wall and connect to battery terminals with clips or rings. Three led lights on the charger tells you the status of the charge. Pretty simple and idiot proof...

I purchased 3 of these units, 2 for my motorcycles and 1 for the cars.

They work well and even charge the car battery up pretty quickly. My son was working in the garage and had the car radio on for most of the day and ran the battery down.

Rather than pull out the bigger charger, I connected this one up and within an hour the battery was charged enough to start the car. I left it on overnight for added measure, but it did the job in short order. There are two ways to connect the charger. On the motorcycles, I used the quick-connect connector which bolts onto the battery posts for a semi permanent connection, allowing me to just plug up to the charger via a small plastic capped connector when the bike is parked for days. This connector on the bike tucks away in the frame of the bike when not in use. The other are two clips which clamp onto the battery posts. This one I used for the car. Both come with the charger.

I received the charger today and couldn't wait to try it out on my deep cycle batteries. It works just great. The only thing I wish I had realized before I purchased it was that it plugs directly into the AC outlet....no cord. Other then that it seems to work. Went into charging mode when first plugged in then after batteries were up to full charge 13.4 volts it went into float mode. The instruction sheet says it would charge battery to 14.4 volts and then go into float mode but mine was 1 volt less then stated. 13.4 volts is about normal anyhow. In a nut shell I am very pleased with this unit so far, only time will tell how well it holds up. I would recommend this to a friend.

Clore CS1000 CarStart Ultra-Portable 900 Peak Amp Jump Starter with 12-Volt Power and Flashlight

Clore CS1000 CarStart Ultra-Portable 900 Peak Amp Jump Starter with 12-Volt Power and FlashlightIt's small, portable, and well built. However, there are limitations and downsides.

Typically, a good rule to follow is that you need about 1 crank amp per cubic inch of motor. So, 225 would be enough for 3.7 liter motors, in theory. Realistically, it's enough for about 3.3 liter motors at a maximum. I tested this jump box on 3 different vehicles. 2 of them with 3.5 liter V6 engines, and 1 with a 3.0 V6. Both had totally dead batteries. It could not start either of the 3.5 motors, but did have enough power for the 3.0, though it struggled. I bought this to replace a jump box I've had for 5 years that had 300 Crank amps and was strong enough to start partially dead V8 motors of 5.6 liter and 5.3 liter sizes, but after time and use, they die out. It's gotten to the point where it can't start my totally dead 3.5, which is why I purchased this one. Bottom line, if you have a 4 cylinder car, this jump box will work fine. If you have a small V6, it will also work fine. If what you typically encounter when you turn the ignition is the sound of the starter bumping, but not turning the engine, your battery isn't totally dead (your radio and other things like windows may still work, if a bit slow) and this jump box should provide the boost required to start your vehicle. If you have a big motor, don't even bother with this item. I give it 3.5 stars, since it's practical, but limited. For the price, it is a great item to own.

...guys and gals, the trick to using this gem of a tool is to use it as a trickle charger for the "dead" battery. Clamp this little guy on, and allow 10-15 minutes for it to do its duty (the wait time is trivial-how long would you wait for AAA?). REMOVE the clamps and clear the Clore unit safely from the vehicle, and turn the key in the dead vehicle. This way is safest to recover a disabled vehicle (no sparks, no explosions or fire, no melted or shorted wires or cables, no injuries...), be it a car or a 1-ton pickup-with ANY size battery.

JUST keep it charged; that's all it asks of its owner...

The 12V outlet is nifty (its cover, disguised as a utility light, is a clever idea-use it for small-space illumination); I use it to power my netbook and my tire inflator...

I look forward to sharing many years with this clever tool...

I have a large motor home with a number of batteries, all of which I foolishly allowed to die in my driveway since I didn't use it for many months. Since I couldn't get my car near the RV to jump it, I thought I might try this charger. Although the charger didn't have enough power to start this large vehicle, I was able to plug it in and trickle charge the batteries for a few hours. I don't know if this is recommended procedure, but it turned out to be a good solution to my problem and got me going with no apparent damage to the charger.

I've had mine for at between 5 and 10 years. I know that I've used it maybe 10 times in all. It has worked perfectly 9 out of 10 times. The only time it didn't work we had discharged the battery of our Ford Escape V6 until it was totally dead. Then and only then it didn't work. I have a really heavy Jump & Start portable jumper and that wouldn't jump start the Escape either. So, I have 90% success and the one time it didn't work, I don't think anything else would have worked either. I am not an expert, but I've have nothing but good experiences which has left me very confident in this unit. Yes, it's small. I think that's a good thing.

On several occasions when I've helped people who's batteries are dead, they are amazed at how well it works, particularly because it's so small. I have jumped SUV's, small cars and larger cars. It has been my experience that this unit is just as reliable as my larger, presumably more powerful unit. I charge it up about once a year and that's all i've done for years to maintain it. After reading many of these luke warm reviews I don't know if I would buy this, but the fact is, it's so easy to use and it almost always works! I prefer it over the two other units I have that weigh at least 3 to 4 times as much and are much larger as well. I guess if you have an 18 wheeler then you probably shouldn't rely on this, but if you don't have an 18 wheeler why would you want something that big to jump your normal sized car or SUV? I give this an enthusiastic 5 stars.

Want Clore CS1000 CarStart Ultra-Portable 900 Peak Amp Jump Starter with 12-Volt Power and Flashlight Discount?

I have a larger all-purpose jump starter (with inverter and air pump), which I keep at home or tote with when I use one of the trucks or cargo van. But, for my passenger vehicle, I wanted something small, inexpensive, and just powerful enough to start my 4 cylinder Hyundai Sonata. I don't need a ton of crank amps to turn this engine over, so there's no point in paying a lot for big heavy SLA I don't need especially considering how reliable my car has been with its new Optima battery. For my purposes, this is perfect. It's value priced, has enough muscle to start my car up without difficulty (I've done a few tests), recharges quickly, and is a fairly sturdy & compact design. At such a low price, I won't feel guilty if it's lost, stolen, or only survives a few seasons in the trunk. It also makes a modest power source to recharge portable electronics, via the 12V DC socket. I'm quite pleased with this purchase, but I recommend folks evaluate their needs before buying it it's not really suited for bigger engines.

2013 Update: Despite being two years old, this still works well. I was able to successfully start two cars today, in brutal cold weather. One was a I4 Toyota Camry, and it started right up as I expected. I had my doubts it could turn over my clients' V6 Cadillac SLS, though. The Caddy's battery was weak, but not dead, so I figured I'd give it a shot before I went to pull my car up and jump car-to-car. To my surprise, I we got it started on the first shot. Nice! I'd still rather have my bigger jump starter, if I had to jump bigger vehicles, but at least I'm assured this is a quality unit.

DEWALT DC823KA 18-Volt 3/8-Inch Impact Wrench

DEWALT DC823KA 18-Volt 3/8-Inch Impact WrenchBought this because I had a big job out in the field that required about 1000 5/16" thread-forming bolts going into 1/2" plate. All I have to say is wow! This thing has power!! It drove those bolts in like I was driving them into styrofoam!! Now I use it all of the time! For the price, being that two batteries a case and charger are included, this little dewalt cannot be beat!! I've had it for about a year and it's just as strong as the day I got it, and being used industrially I think that says alot!!!

This came with 2 XRP battery packs but is ready for the li-ion cells (it has the dual compatible base). It does have an LED for the work area that comes on with the slightest press of the trigger even before the spinning starts. It has a variable speed drive

Dewalt gives you 3 choices in drive size 1/4 , 3/8 (this one ) or 1/2". I chose 3/8 and had to look hard for it because I wanted to use my 3/8 sockets I already owned. I have a dewalt 1/2" impact wrench with 1/2" sockets that runs on 110 vac so this is my "tiny" solution for nuts. As for 1/4" drivers, I'm deferring that size to the small power screwdriver type low torque drivers.

I was surprised how hard it was to find a 3/8" drive my sockets are all 3/8 and this has the nice snap ring holder so it's a great system altogether. It comes in a black carry case with 2 batteries and charger, which I don't need another one. I would have bought the tool alone but at the time I could not find the tool with these features and no batteries, and I needed some new batteries anyhow.

The gearbox is great, as with all dewalt drivers. It's the right drive size for an 18v battery driven system.

BoxWave HTC HD7S Desktop Cradle (No Spare Battery Charger)

BoxWave HTC HD7S Desktop CradleI have been using this cradle for a few weeks, and it does charge my HD7s. The design has a good snug fit around the bottom of the HD7s which gives me confidence it is well connected and secured, and I hit the connector every time (unlike when trying to connect the microUSB cable that came with the HD7s).

However, some negative points ...

1) the base is bigger than what seems necessary (need more desktop space),

2) there is a strong blue LED on the front of the base and a red LED on the wall transformer, I know these don't consume too much electricity, but my HD7s tells me if it is being charged, I don't need another light in the room at night (nothing some black electric tape can't fix of course)

3) I cannot unlock my HD7s while docked; it's as if the screen is being tapped or something, but the password screen scrolls back down after I enter 1-2 of the #'s from the pin code. This is bizarre, and I can only attribute it to a back connection at the cradle (good enough to charge, but unstable to interact with the HD7s while cradled), and finally

4) The cradle of course has a microUSB connector for the HD7s (and most new Smartphones -except iPhone), but because of the plastic holder designed specifically for the HD7s (a good thing), I can't charge my wife's Android (it doesn't fit *on* the cradle) -No problem! I just unplug the cable from the cradle and .... it's a miniUSB plug!?!? I think BoxWave had a few thousand USB-to-miniUSB cables lying around and decided they would use those until stock ran out. I can't believe the designers would have a miniUSB plug at the end of the USB cable when the phone it is built for uses a microUSB.

I would not buy this again, but not worth the trouble sending it back, as it does charge my phone (but that's about it)

UPDATE May 2012 After updating my HD7s to the 8107 firmware, all of a sudden I can unlock and use it while on the cradle (pt #3 above) -therefore a phone/firmware issue rather than a cradle issue on that one -I am increasing my rating by a star! You know, I can now say I *would* buy this again, since I set it and forgot it, it does it's job well!
