Worst! Product! Ever! This is a very poor quality design. When it is plugged into the socket, any little bump or jolt causes it to lose power. No matter what angle it is set in, it is physically impossible not to jiggle it. I drive a stick and every time I shift gears, the shifter knocks it out of kilter. Drives me crazy (those who know me say that it's a short trip) :-)

On the upside, the USB port worked and is a cool gadget. It powered my iBook nicely on a recent trip. Too bad the rest of it was such a piece of junk.

This thing blew out the fuses on 2 of my satelite radios, and blew out the fuse on my car while I was using the USB port to charge my iphone. When you plug things into it they come back out in short order. It also comes out of the socket that you plug it into. NOT happy. Its too bad because its a good idea.

I purchased this item mainly for the USB. I only had my cell phone plugged into it for about 10 minutes when I noticed the green light no longer lit and my phone no longer charging. When I pulled the unit out it was VERY HOT! When I got to work I pulled out the internal fuse and it was ok so it appears the unit is no longer functioning. Not much bang for the buck IMO.

I bought this unit for a driving vacation, and the entire unit stopped working after a few minutes. It may have been the fuse in the power outlet adapter, but I only had a GPS and an iPhone plugged in it.

Foolishly, I bought another one a few hundred miles away, hoping I had bought a lemon and that the product was probably good. Unfortunately, the USB died on this unit after a couple of hours.

I ended up using a larger more expensive power adapter with a Griffin double-USB powerblock. It worked fine except for the space it took up.

Would someone please make a product along these lines, that works well for people like me who have GPS, iPhones and other devices that need to be charged.

The product should also be solid, and not loosely rattle around on its hinges like this device. The product would ideally also have 2 USB ports and be able to charge iPods/iPhones/digital cameras without blowing a fuse.

I have watched at least a half dozen of these fry. The USB port overheats a capacitor in the splitter, and then the whole thing is worthless.

If you bought one of these, and don't want it to fry, don't use the USB port. It appears that the USB port is what causes the failure of this miserable product.

My advice: Return it and wait for them to make a new model.

I got it quick as usaul from Amazon. I got the Luna Light and Battery pack and 7watt solar charger. It comes in a neat little package with a small pocket which will hold the battery pack and most supplied charging cords. The 12v. female cigerette socket cord and Luna light I had to sandwich inside the foldable solar case which barely would velcro close. I really haven't gotten to test the product thoroughly yet but played with it on the patio and checked to make sure everything was working right, which it seemed to be.

When registering my product on their Goal0 website apparently they are recalling the battery pack with a certain ser. number so check yours if you get one. Anyway, I called cust. support and the guy is going to ship me one of the replacements and let me keep the one that came with the package ( cool ), he said use it till it breaks ( cool again ).

I bought this for my Go Bag so I would be able to charge my GPS and flashlight batteries. It will charge AAA and AA Metal Hydride Batteries only ( in the battery pack ). It seems to be built pretty tough and the company says that rain and such won't hurt it. I think they did their home work when making this thing it has all the power cords you could want to charge anything.

My only complaint or recommendation is to add a bigger pouch or incorperate one big enough to hold all the accesories and extra batteries together so things don't get lost.

Great and usefull gadget. When you call the company the automated voicemail says " an awesome customer service agent will be with you in a minute ". In my case, they were awesome. It is such a pleasure to buy something from a company who really tries to take care of their customers the way I would and did when I had my small business. Oh yeah! the battery pack has a charging light that lets you know how well it is charging by how fast the light flashes and the color of light lets you know the status of the charge. Just has a lot of well thought out usefull features. NEEDS a BIGGER pouch though.

Even though we seek the outdoors to "get away from it all" many of us cannot abandon all electronic tools and devices... be they GPSes, smart phones, music players, or the like. Personally, I have an android phone and it serves as all of the above. Keeping the battery charged can be quite a challenge in the back country or emergency situation when municipal power is not available.

The Goal0 is an amazing product rugged, not terribly heavy, and very well thought out. The 2-panel Guide10 is a great size for the backpacker or 3-day hiker. My adventurer kit came with the battery pack, which can charge a device directly, or a battery pack (AA or AAA) for charging at a later time. It charges fast enough that you can charge up a full set of AA then a set of AAA in a given day of average sunlight.

This is by far the best solar panel I have had, and it totally saved my life in my last trip, since freaking camera lost all its charge for strange reasons the night before the trip started (Roraima Tepuy in Venezuela), when I saw that I had no battery i strapped the panel to my backpack and plugged the usb cable for my camera and charged the whole battery in a few hours, and did it during the whole trip a few hours a day, also charged a Mophie pack, the reason I don't give this a full 5 stars because the battery pack that comes with it it overheats some times and it wont charge well my batteries, that's why i used the mophie battery...

This product is very well designed and constructed. I was able to charge the battery pack in about 5 or 6 hours with only partial sun. The charged battery pack then recharged my 2nd generation iTouch from almost empty to full in about 45 minutes. After charging my iTouch there was still enough power left in the battery pack to top off the battery in my 2nd generation Kindle (the Kindle battery was about half full to start).

My first test was to see if the battery pack would charge my Blackberry Torch at 500ma or better... It did indeed charge the phone directly from the USB output on the pack.

My next test was to see if I could recharge the battery pack, and even while parked in the shade, it put a partial charge on the pack. I'll assume that I'd need much more direct sunlight to charge the pack fully.

The pack charged fully off of a USB charger, so even if the panel doesn't work, I can charge the pack and use it for emergency backup power for my phone or other USB devices.

Today I exposed the panels to direct bright sunlight and managed to charge my iTouch 2nd generation directly from the panel, a top off charge that seemed to work in about an hour.

I then used the 12v output with a car charger for my Blackberry, and it charged the phone.

I think I got what I paid for.

Well, the idea of this cradle charger was a good one, but the manufacturer didn't take into account that most phone users add a protective case cover on their smartphones. When a protective case is snapped onto the phone, it makes it longer, and the phone can no longer descend down into the cradle for a fit. It cannot make connection with the charging jack because the charging jack is low inside the cradle and a phone with a case cover can no longer reach it. I'm sending mine back for a refund.

First off PRO'sThe unit is a clean design with a nice touch of "screw on" power source nodes so you can create your own power source tap.

CON'sWorthless because of the safety switch.

In a power inverter, you would expect some loss to the output rating based on your power source. The unit is rated as being able to output 500w on a direct 12v battery terminal as the source. I found the unit struggling to keep up with a 200w coffee maker, designed for low wattage usage for camping and diverse applications. Never-mind if you want to run a 75w laptop on the inverter while in 100w mode (using the cigarette lighter as power source). This unit's safety power overload whatever function is too sensitive, it is ridiculous as i try to balance turning on the unit and plugging my devices into the unit to see how it will function.

I bought it, tried it for a weekend and returned it to Lowes. I will not buy another Stanley electronic device because of this unit.

I use a lot of inverters to power various electronics when on the road. Most often it is for laptops, camera, and various charging units.

The Stanley PC509 is a decent unit. The two sockets are conveniently placed on the front of the unit. Though not quite enough space to accomodate two power bricks, the placement is more convenient than other units. There is also a USB charging plug so that smaller electronics such as cell phones, Point-and-Shoot cameras, iPods, etc., can be charged with just a USB cable. This more than makes up for the spacing of the plugs. The sockets also have covers which is a nice touch.

There are some minor downsides. First, the unit is much larger than comparable rated units. It's too large to fit in the center console of my car so ended up on the floor. Not a big deal, but the other downside is that the fan is quite loud. The fan doesn't run continuously, but when it does, is quite noticeable even when on the highway.

Other things to note:

1) The cigarette adapter will not power the unit to the full capacity. Though rated at 500W, the cigarette adapters on most cars top out at around 120W. Direct battery connect cables are provided, but if you don't anticipate using it attached to the battery, go with a lower rated unit and save $30.

2) Even without load, this thing will pull power from your battery. I'm not certain if this is true for all inverters, but I almost drained my battery when I left the inverter plugged in.

I've had the unit about one week and have been using it to power a laptop. I have mine tapped directly into a live circuit of my vehicle's wiring. This was a major pain in the butt, but I wasn't sure how well it would run off the cigarette lighter.

Cons: I've been having the same problem as David. Sometimes the unit goes into protect mode when I start my vehicle. Yes, this is annoying. Thankfully, I have the unit installed within easy reach, so I can live with the problem... but still annoying. Sometimes it takes several tries to get the unit running again. The fan is also a little noisy, but it rarely runs when I'm using it, so far.

Pros: Key things I like about the overall design and layout of the inverter:

1. Angled receptacles

2. USB charging port

3. Front mounted rocker / power switch, so I can easily turn off the unit when not in use.

Those were the selling points for me, compared with other products on the market. Also the price... $40 at the local big box home improvement center.

I used this unit to power various AC devices in a U-Haul truck during a cross-country journey (a small boom-box, laptop PC, camera charger). The total load was less than 200 watts.

Every time I cranked the truck, the unit tripped and was dead. I had to turn it off and back on, and about half the time it would not trip again (eventually, after cycling it enough times, the power light would stay green and we were good to go, though sometimes I had to cycle it seven or eight times).

I attached the unit directly to the battery using the (very short) cables provided. That means the unit has to be under the hood if you want to use the provided battery cables. I had a power strip in the cab, and ran the connection to the inverter. So, every time I cranked the truck, I had to get out, raise the hood, and cycle the unit (often multiple times). That got really annoying each time I had to stop for gas, or to grab a meal, or when starting out for the day.

It did not matter if there was any load attached, either when cranking the truck or when cycling the unit with the truck running (I unplugged the power strip no difference).

Also, the mounting for the posts that attach the unit to the power source (either the battery or cigarette lighter) were both broken if you push on them, they would disappear into the unit. I had to be very careful when attaching the power wires so that the posts would not become inaccessible.

When it was working, it was great. But it was hard to get it working.

I had to use a Samsung SGH-A167 phone for a while. I needed a car adapter and bought the Duracell DU5211, which is this model without the wall adapter. (The SGH-A167 was offered as an AT&T GoPhone prepaid phone.)

This unit includes a universal cable and three tips which I assume fit various Samsung models. I only used one.

It works OK and charges promptly. No problems there. The cigarette lighter adapter has a small green LED so you know it is connected.

The only issue so far is that the tip does not quite correctly fit the Samsung SGH-A167 plug...it sticks out slightly. I think the edge could be trimmed easily with a Dremel tool, file, or sandpaper if one was careful.

No other issues. No outstanding features, but it worked as advertised. Four stars.

The product itself is fantastic, unfortunately the one I ordered was missing a part but my payment was promptly refunded to me. If there were additional ones available at the time of the return I would not have hesitated to order replacement. I love the charger. It's lasted me a while now and it's super convenient. I can use any USB cable in the car or at home. But, beware on the the cable. It doesn't sync for one, which is a total bummer. Then, after only about 4 months it stopped working. While this is a great charger, make sure you have a good iPod/iPhone cable because this does not include a quality one.

Too Hot For Vegas

I bought this charger because I switched from the iPhone to Droid and needed a charger ASAP. This one was on amazon prime and it wasn't the cheapest, ( it was the second cheapest) so I figured it was ok.

Technically The charger worked great it charged the phone fast.

However, in about a month after owning it; it broke in half at the seams so all the wires showed. The charger stilled worked but I didn't feel safe having exposed wires hangs out of it in the car. So I trashed it and bought a different charger and so far the other charger has worked for 6 months and counting.

If you need something quick, fast, and cheap this is the charger for you. However, don't plan on keeping the charger forever. It is a cheap charger, it works but isn't going to last for years. I think the main reason it might have broke to be honest with you is the heat from vegas. The heat might have warped the case and then when I pulled it out of the car plug it split in half. If I lived someplace cooler it might still be in one part.

Milwaukee 2696-23 M18 18-Volt 3-Tool Combo Kit

I was interested in both of these impacts individually, it just so happens that it was less expensive to buy them in this kit than individually. The light was just an added benefit. The 3/8" impact is the one I use more frequently. This impact is relatively compact yet it has a very rapid hammer action that sounds similar to a hammer drill. It also has an LED light that is helpful to ensuring that you are on the fastener. I use it to remove medium grade fasteners but I wouldn't recommend installing them with it due to it's strength. It is strong and fast enough that I can quickly run down lugnuts on a passenger car before using a torque wrench to finish tightening them. The 1/2" impact is very strong and hammers much slower than the smaller impact but has no problems removing most fasteners on an average sized vehicle. It is a little nose heavy due to its sturdy hammer mechanism but it is not unbearable. I am also very pleased with the battery run time and the convenience of the "charge meter" on each battery. Something to be aware of with the charger is that it appears to be designed to be mounted vertically. It will charge in the horizontal position but at times I found mine having a difficult time getting a solid connection to get a charge. The light is probably the only thing I would want to improve on in this kit. It uses a bulb and is reasonably bright but the light that is put out leaves a dark spot in the center of the lit area that is a little annoying at times. It uses the battery quicker than the other two tools and is noticeably dimmer than my M12 LED light which I would highly recommend.

Use caution as even the 3/8" impact driver can break bolts when reassembling. Long lasting batteries. Quality built. Great combo.

Bon-Aire i8000 Goodyear 120-Volt Direct Drive Tire Inflator

Why I like this tire inflator:

1. It plugs into any 120 volt outlet. I have 12 volt inflators and they have their place, but cannot compare to this unit.

2. It's fast. I just inflated a wheelbarrow tire from 5 psi to 30 psi in about 45 seconds.

3. The pressure gauge is accurate. One of my 12 volt inflators is off by 10 psi (under).

4. The screw-on valve is not as bad as you would think. It will only bleed one or two psi off a normal tire while its removed.

5. The screw-on valve is far superior to the clamp-on type. I feel that more air is lost when unclamping. Also, the wheelbarrow valve stem was too short for a clamp-on.

6. It comes with numerous inflation adapters.

What I don't like:

1. I would prefer a ball-type valve rather than the screw-on.

2. It seems to struggle as it approaches 30 psi. I worry that it won't be able to handle the 70 psi required for my bicycle tires. Nowhere in the operator's manual or on the box does it give the maximum pressure rating. The pressure gauge goes up to 150 psi, but that's meaningless.

Overall I'm very pleased. It should do just fine with normal tire pressures up to 38 psi.

My old model Bon-Aire BA121L 120v gave up on me after only 2 seasons of light use so it was time to invest in another air inflator. I wanted one that was 120v as I was not comfortable with the pumps that run off your car charger. I've only used this a couple of times, but I can see that this is a much more solid inflator than my previous one.

When you turn it on it sounds solid, there are no moving parts so this should last longer than your conventional inflators, it's much quieter than my old pump and it pumps quicker too.

The only reason why I gave it 4 stars and not five was because it uses a screw on valve to pump tires on my cars. I personally like the snap on type of valve because it's easier and quicker, but I do find that with screw on valves it loses less air from the tires when you unscrew it.

This is a perfect air pump. It inflates tires quickly and relatively quietly. The gage is very accurate. I checked it against a couple of others that I own so will rely on it from now on. It seems to be well made with no defects noted. I am looking forward to many years of use. I have been disappointed with others especially the ones that rely on a battery or 12V cigarette connection. They often blow fuses and knock out other things in the car. Never again. I would say buy with confidence. It only works with american type tire valves. It has an adapter for euopean valve stems but would not work on my bike.

I had looked on line for the perfect inflator that could be plugged in to an outlet. I have one front tire on my lawn tractor that deflates between mowing. The first two times I used it I couldn't have been happier. The third time when I turned on the switch it didn't make a sound. I thought it might be the outlet but it wasn't so the unit I purchased worked only twice before breaking down.

I was hauling out my 45 pound air compressor to fill up the tires, and this makes it 1,000 times easier. It's a small unit, the size of a football, and it weighs probably only about 8 to 10 pounds. The blue cord stretches out surprisingly long, and the main adapter screws down tight over tire valves. You screw it on, flip the switch, and wait for the reading you want. Easy.

It does inflate a car tire rather slowly. To take a car tire from 26 psi to 35 psi took me about 45 seconds to a minute. That's not terrible, but it's noticeably slower than the pump at the gas station. Still, you can do the whole car, even with moving the unit, in under 6 or 7 minutes, and that's not bad at all. The gauge seems to be dead-on, and the unit feels heavy and well built. With gas at $4.10 a gallon it's very nice to make sure the tires are rock hard and giving you every last mile you can squeeze out.

I thought about getting one of those cigarette lighter jobs, but then I kept reading about blown fuses and so forth. I got this for the garage and stuck an old bike pump in the trunk. The bike pump is for roadside emergencies, and no blown fuses and some good exercise with that.

I've had my Tundra for months now and continue having great service from it. In normal service the Tundra has very good battery life. Where it fell short for me was using the AT&T Navigation GPS. I have the $20 Data Unlimited with Navigation plan, and using the talking waypoints program does use the battery quickly while traveling, so an in-car charger is necessary. AT&T wants $29 for their car charger, and it's not from Motorola. This SPN5401A charger is Motorola's P510 Fast-Rate charger the one they retail at $24.99 as of this writing. Eforcity sent me mine for under $10. This was a great savings on a Motorola product.

What you get with this product is a coiled cable that is two feet long without stretching the coils. Without excessive stretching, the cable is easily three feet long. The round end on the adaptor (looks a little like a magnifier, but isn't) has an etched surface of the center to create The "M" Motorola logo. When you plug the charger in, this clear "eyeglass" and logo area is lit in blue by a hidden LED. The length of the cigarette adaptor housing is 4 1/2", and it inserts easily and feels sturdy and firm in place. Since it is by Motorola, you can count on its quality and the protection it offers. Just remember to disconnect it when you aren't driving you don't want to discharge your vehicle battery. Like TV detective "Hunter" said "Works for me."

Finally found a charger that works with the Motorola Active! Charger arrived earlier than estimated arrival date also. Fast charger for on the go.

4/26/12: Genuine Motorola car cig-lighter charger for my old Motorola W370 cell phone.

Works perfectly. Top quality. It has a solid feel to it.

Has lots of nice features including (1) long coiled cable; (2) classy blue glowing circular lense with the 'M' logo etched in it; (3) large-ish easy-to-grip adapter plug.

I bought this for a song, including free S&H. I presume the low cost (uh, 20 cents on the dollar?) is because my old phone is an obsolete model. Must be a clearance.

I think this is a great product. I just wish it did not have the big blue LED lit Motorola symbol. In this day of smash and grab its a neon sign to a thief. I just don't leave it out in car. That was my only problem with this product. It is a good affordable replacement charger for your Motorola Razr v3 phone.

Sadly, a car charger for the V3 was not included when the phone was purchased. And, living / working in mostly rural areas with limited signal strength, the phone's battery tends to drain much faster. Nice to have an option other than powering down the phone or using an inverter / AC charger when away from home.

The item was received in excellent condition, the shipping rates are a little high-but I received the item from California in three days (from time of ordering). The listing says that the item will work with the LG VX8300, but the connector doesn't fit-I ended up giving it to someone else who has an LG VX8100-and it works fine with that model. If it wasn't for the incorrect listing-I would have given it a 5 star rating.
